I think the mural was also the reason Shadow has Chaos Powers, Gerald probably realized from other bits of research he'd done (Or maybe just read this information somewhere on Angel Island) that the being in the mural was using the Chaos Emeralds to achieve a super high level of power. Since he knew he likely wouldn't be able to gather all seven emeralds and constantly keep them around his creation, at least without a huge amount of risk, he decided to make something that would be able to harness Chaos Energy without relying on the Chaos Emeralds. Well, it would still rely on them somewhat since Shadow draws in power from them, but he doesn't have to have them always near him since in one of the games he states that he can absorb their power from a range

RIGHT i forgot that the mural theory also included an explanation for shadow's chaos powers lol. i think the reasoning behind using the individual emeralds for power here makes sense, though personally i tend to believe shadow's chaos powers came from his black arms biology. black doom and eclipse are also capable of using chaos control, so i always assumed it was a black arms ability that shadow inherited rather than something that was given to him. eclipse can also use chaos control without any emeralds (and i theorize that black doom can too), so in theory shadow could as well.

one of the previous sonic game directors (don't remember who) previously stated that shadow can't chaos control without an emerald, but there's so much canon where he doesn't so tbh i just ignore that lol. but yeah, if the chaos powers aren't a biology thing then i think hidden palace mural is a fun explanation as to why gerald gave shadow chaos abilities

Today on my brain: Ema who suffered long term physical damage from the car crash that killed her parents and Definitely needs a mobility aid but hates how the cane makes her feel old and like she isn't trying hard enough to get better.

Lana is Begging her to use it and not just ditch it in the car when she leaves for school because she can tell how much the constant pain is wearing on her baby sister.

Enter Edgeworth who was a part of the four year long endeavour to convince Von Karma to use a cane. "He was so excited and relieved after he took to using it i swear he'd have tapped danced if he could. Plus it makes him look more like a count and he adores that."

Just sitting down with her and discussing the issues she's having with it and why she doesn't like it and oh well this might work better and we could certainly customize it to suit you better - but It does sound like it's not providing adequate support. You may want to consider forearm crutches instead.

So I watched shin vs neo again with my irls for my bday given how short it is and I didn’t have a actual movie for the occasion-bc let’s face it SvN is probably the closest thing will ever get to a getter movie lol-and while I enjoyed it as per usual one of my irls who had it be their first getter exposure was like “I have no idea what’s happening” and while I kept joking “lol if you saw arma you’d be even more lost” it dawned on me why new is probably the better first getter experience overall and it ain’t even because there’s less characters + is the starring cast-well besides Musashibo-to really grasp stuff, it kinda ties back to another issue getter has: The Go team have not gotten a proper accurate adaptation and probably the getter team who’s done the dirtiest despite getting more appearances than arc, because arc team at least got a manga accurate anime.

I’ve realized this for awhile but now I understand the want for a getter go anime even if I’m doubting it’s happening god.
