Tetrahedron model...
This model will turn into a huge chonker.
I do not know if I already mentioned it: I want to construct and create a modular tiny house system ("Tetrahome") with bamboo as frame - with the modules being tetrahedra and octahedra - as these polyhedra fill 3D space neatly and without gaps.
We will see if this shape is even practical in means of using it as home.
As for the stability: The shape of the tetrahedron is an advantage, but there is far more we need to consider.
[5 meters height, 3m long edges of the tetrahedron modules]
in the next weeks we will buy some bamboo and assemble the first tetrahedron module.
For the vertices we tend towards using some knotting methods and pre-shaping the bamboo pipes (for better assembly of the vertices).
And we might make tests with weights - to find out if one vertex might be able to hold at least 300 kg of weight.
