Here are #Transformers Titans Return Leader #Powermaster #OptimusPrime & #Headmaster #Apex AND #TitansReturn #MagnusPrime with #TitanMaster #Ginrai ... . . You know I love #Prime as a character, and I lean toward chunky robots for sure, so these guys are both really doing it for me :D . Some differences you may have noticed form the last series of posts: The paint on Magnus Prime is brilliant with an almost metallic look, it really is stunning. Powermaster Prime's paint job appears more tame in comparison. . The #Autobot insignias are different size shape and color on shoulders and arms. . The chest is obviously very reworked. . The panels on Powermaster Prime's arms go all the way down his arms to the ends of his hands. Panels end before the wrist on Magnus. . The feet are Very different with powermaster prime having a more typical foot. . Guns are aren't even close to the same. . The headmasters/titanmasters took very different approaches. Magnus Prime and a much more Optimus look to him. . I really, really do love them both, if you put a gun to my head and I had to choose one, I suppose I would pick Magnus Prime over Powermaster. The paint and the arm panels probably put him in over the top for me. . What do y'all think? Any strong preference? . Powermaster Optimus Prime was the first time a Transformer received an updated toy. However, Powermaster Prime was released as Ginrai in Japan- an entirely separate character from the original. Ginrai is actually a human- a regular truck driver from the Japanese exclusive G1 sequel series Super-God Masterforce (1988). In this series, the Autobots and Decepticons have left Earth to continue their war in space, but leave behind power-up bodies called Transtectors. According to the Sideswipe's Revenge of the Fallen 'Robot Replica' toy bio, Sideswipe was actually a master of fencing before the war- explaining his sword arms and wheel feet. He used this skill in Cybertron's gladiatorial games, and when war broke out on Cybertron, he used it to defend the innocent. According to his Deluxe Class Revenge of the Fallen toy, he also traveled the galaxy to learn the Cybertronian martial art of Metaliko before the war.
