Excellent commission by @aleciosun for a scene in ch 5 of this Ao3 fic. Starscream turns into a Messerschmitt Me 262 jet if you can't tell.

The human is an original character made for the story, a German mechanic named Otto.

I really like the concept of Starscream being stuck alone in WWII. Really that whole time period is such an interesting one in terms of the all the different crazy war-forms a Transformer could take.

I could see Megatron turning into a Panther or even a Jagdpanther tank. I mean, after all, he already turns into a N@z! gun.

I guess Soundwave would be like a switchboard? Or an enigma machine? Ravage would probably turn into a reel-to-reel tape recorder or something, I dunno...

I have the urge to recommend a few really good WWII movies:

T-34 : A Russian movie about a tank-crew. The editing is insane in this movie, I was screaming during a scene where two gun turrets were being veeery slowly turning around.

Das Boot : A German U-boat movie and the most nail-biting and intense submarine movie you will ever watch.

1917: Okay, not a WWII movie, but just a really, really good WWI movie. I go back to it a lot whenever I need to visualize atmosphere. Here's just a taste of the experience.
