During that whole escapede, The Master sent Torchwood (Ianto included) to the Himalayas.

My personal headcanon (or what I tell myself to be able to go to sleep) is that when TFoB takes his final breath, he's remembering being reunited with Ianto after the year that never was

Wriggling out the details for how to finish this arc of the series, and seeing what can wait until the next (final) book.

Talked to my cover artist yesterday with an idea for The Madness of Verwyn. We'll see what he does with it. At this point I trust him implicitly with whatever image he comes up with. He's treated me well with this series, giving me the art I need even if it's not what I thought I wanted at first. And, I mean, all the comments at every show I've done backs him up.

Over the next month I'll be doing a few panels at local library cons on Saturdays. I still need to get together with people about doing Phoenix Fan Fusion panels, but I might just stick to my table and sell books instead. My pitch at TFoB went really well.

Haven't heard anything more about the workshop/writing contest I was asked to teach and/or judge. I'm still excited about the idea, but I've hit busy season. If it doesn't come together this year, maybe next year.

Things are going well right now. I need to get these two books done, and then maybe take a breather for a few months. Ooooor get back to my pirate kids idea. Or finish Zombies Half Price. Or do a bunch of short stories. Is an author ever *not* working? Even messing around on video games I'm still letting the wheels turn.

'Twas the week before TFoB and all through the house

I wanna just write, I don't want to stand in a tent all weekend convincing strangers to pick up my books and pretty please give them a try or I'll be sad. I'm going to be surrounded by romance writers and I'm sitting with my pile of angsty books going, "I don't know what a happy ending looks like, have a queer tragedy instead, the series will probably be finished year after next."

And I haven't even dyed my hair yet because I was sick all weekend. All hail the NyQuil gods. I've lost three days of productivity. Huzzah.
