have been continually hitting roadblocks with the type of from the ground up 'list climate conditions so you can say exactly what food would grow here and what seasons they would have etc etc' worldbuilding lately to the degree i had kind of stopped worldbuilding entirely, but writing sort of idealogy/thematics first in universe documents is going so so well for me for shaping how my cities and continent actually function + how i think of them. trying to research exactly what types of fabric they would have access to is largely a time sink where im gonna get overnervous about using correct information in a field im not comfortable with, but writing an architects horrible design document is both incredibly fun and also makes it so much clearer how this world functions and how people function within it to me
