I'm both intensely nervous and also very excited. I'm competent. I know what I'm doing. I take pride in my work and my skills and I learn quickly and for all my personal emotional turmoil, I'm quick witted in the workplace and very good at what I do. I can show off a bit! I'm not even THAT bad at the social aspects, I forced myself thru SOOOO many extra curricular volunteer gigs to become, if not comfortable, at least good at chameleon masking in those situations

Also the weather is yucky and I don't really want what I packed for lunch and it'll keep in the work fridge for another day or two til I can eat it

#the duality of fran #this is very silly but also I have a complex abt food #most ppls mothers give them ED food compexes #mine gave me a food insecurity complex #WE NEVER WENT HUNGRY but my mother was SO strict about food waste and eating out and budgeting #and she acted as if we were always on the brink of ruin if i didnt finish my meal #not to mention sensory issues undiagnosed she chose to ignore. making eating difficult for me #that i am now 27 fkin years old and have SO MUCH guilt about like. just havin a lil treat #getting pizza and fries for lunch bc i want greasy comfort food #and not the healthy spicy pumpkin soup and whole wheat baguette i packed
