Um, hello there hi 👋

This is a bit embarrassing but… what can I do about a Spamton who has…trouble losing weight?

I got Spammy G. Spingle from a properly licensed seller who assured me he was very healthy. Other than sometimes trying to eat his siblings food at mealtimes - they said he’d been great. Ever since I got him home a few years back he’s had a really affectionate personality, and although he sometimes tried to fish for extra treats or sneakily pinch my other Spamton’s (Spamella Deville) food, he’s been good as gold.

Lately though he’s been getting uhhhh… extra chonky shall we say?? Since October he’s doubled in weight and has definitely grown in size too. I’ve caught him twice stealing Spamella’s dinner, bullying and biting her, and stealing my snacks (he even broke my child locked cookie jar). When he doesn’t know I’m there he’s been shouting at Spamella, things like ‘I’m the Big Shot!’, ‘Closer 2 H3aven!’ , and calling her a ‘Little Sponge’??

Spamella seems really afraid of him at mealtimes now and won’t eat in the same room as him.

What’s causing Spammy’s behaviour and how can I get him to lose the chub he’s put on?

It could be your Spammy is preparing to take on a NEO form.

Sometimes NEO genes find themselves in what seem to be regular Spamtons. It's fine, and it's not the breeders fault.

A NEO transformation can take a lot of energy out of a Spamton, so he may be storing extra energy in himself through gaining weight.

NEO transformations can also be very scary for both the Spamton and you. Make sure to keep calm for your Spammy's sake. When he is beginning to transform, take him into your backyard and give him treats and pets, and reassurances.
