Amy could be A (or at least Part) Echidna

You've all seen the theory, now time for why I believe it.

I will provide picture references for this upon request but I literally wrote this between Fnaf theory stuff

First off design of the Modern Hedgehogs. Amy has an entirely different look to other hedgehogs, could this just be because she's female and the only other hedgehogs we've encountered in the modern era are dudes? Yes.

However, I do think it IS important to note. Her quills lay flat on her head more similar to Knuckles's and she doesn't have back spikes like Sonic, Shadow, or Silver. Sure could just be a design choice, but if thats the case SEGA should release more female hedgehogs that have these design themes. Otherwise, Amy's the odd hog out.

Minor mini detail on older designs: In Japan Amy looked like other female hedgehogs (in the Sonic manga where he goes by Nickie she's deisgned the same as His mother and Sister), but in the America's her design is distinctly different from Female hedgehogs of the time. At least in the shows. The Comics at the time played with character design stuff loosely (sonics mom in the comics was just sonic with a yellow hair tuft). But in the Cartoons Aleena and Sonia both have longer quills that are distinctly different colors from their main body. Probably a design choice but part of headcanon theories is taking stuff that probably means nothing and making it mean something.

'Powers': think SOnic and Shadow's speed and Silver telekinetic. Well ignore Silver since apparently EVERYONE in the future has powers like his. (Also I have a theory he may be Amy's descendant but that's for another day). Both the main hedgehogs we see have speed as their power and we don't really see other hedgehogs. You can be like 'but hess, Shadow's an artificial being' and I sit here like 'Yeah but for theories, you need multiple data points and Sega is largely ignoring the older comics so he's all I got'. So we've got another theme of the other hedgehogs in the series having something in common Amy doesn't... AGAIN could just be a male hedgehog thing.

But SEGA also admitted that Amy's strength is surprising... And If Knuckles (our only modern echidna data point) is anything to go off of, extreme strength seems to be an Echidna thing.

Basically, anything that separates Amy from the other hedgehogs seems to tie her with Knuckles. At least in the modern media.

Ziv quiet laughter was in the early morninghours much too loud against the tiered stillness hanging in the hangar in which the different starships stood like sleeping animals, waiting for the day to begin. The next second the Tynnans chuckle was interrupted by a startled cheep and promptly her small paw wandered from the others hip to the pocket of her trousers to fish out something that looked like a very small mix of a knife and a blaster. Waddling her small paw that was still hurting from where she had almost cut herself on the sharp side of the weapon, Zivs fluffy ears jolted up like an confused animal and she looked at the strange weapon, then at Veda: "-ooookay, nothing I had expected to grasp when reaching for your ass, but I can live with it. Its fine, Its kriffing fine, don´t worry, pup. Your back side is totally krififng worth it, I am just kriffing suprised, thats all.", casually she let the thing fall to the floor where it felt clattering on the durasteel tiles that lay drowned beneath the morningmist still hanging in the hangarhall: "Like, I had been able to kiss a Whipid with her massive tusks, so I am also able to squeeze someones ass when they have sharp stuff on them like a kriffing Hoth hedgehog, nothing serious, you are my sweet Hoth hedgehog right-", she murmured gently, her words tickling along the others bare skin soft like feathers, following with her lips the lines of pale scars as she planted a line of small, soft pecks on the side of the other womans jaw, along the side of her neck, to the crook of Vedas neck and her warm shoul- Something sharp and needlelike cut through the almost colourless skin of her nose and Ziv flinched back, cheeping like a kicked animal as the scent of her own fresh blood from a shallow scratch along her pink snout stitched into her nose sharply and as ironlike as a blade: "-oh for kriffs sake, in your kriffing brastrap?!"

First impression: well... my friend basically kin assigned this wild haired hedgehog to me idk who he is but the design is?? kinda neat?? i guess i'll go with it

Impression now: son boy. Wrote my first ever fanfics about him (I don't count the knockoff warrior cats oc stories as fanfics bc that was several layers removed from the insp material). Drew so very much fanart of him. Got introduced to the whole fuckin concept of fandom bc of him. Some of the first tumblr blogs I ever followed were ones I followed bc they posted fun hcs and fics of him. There's a telekinetic-hedgehog-from-the-future -shaped impression in my heart forever and ever.

Favourite moment: HE HAS HAD SO FEW CANON MOMENTS OUTSIDE OF THE COMICS THAT I NEVER MANAGED TO READ PROPER IT MAKES ME SAD and the only game he was in proper was a fucking mess but even then I have several moments I had to pick between but in the end, it's the moment where he's trying to contain Iblis himself and refuses to let Blaze do it. And then eventually he relents but it was that specific bit of the moment that I first wrote many pages of analyses about in my notebooks and then kept referencing in my fanfics. I willn't get into the details of why this moment specifically burned (hah) itself into my mind so but that's gotta be the one I pick as my fav

Idea for a story: that one fanfic I never got to write where Silver, having again returned to the present for some reason, gets overwhelmed with how much Sonic and the gang can be and floats himself out to the sea (with telekinesis) and then plops down to float (more literally) in the water, and the stars in the night sky get reflected in the water, and he has an "oh fuck existing can actually be really beautiful" moment. Unpopular opinion: okay so I'm working off of fics and headcanons from years ago but I often felt like people kept writing him a little too much like a soft boy. Bc don't get me wrong he definitely has that side to him but I think he should be kind of emotionally volatile in all directions. Not sensitive as in gets sad easily but sensitive as in he feels very strongly about many things and can also get very angry very quick, and laughs at things easily, and just overall feels everything More. (kid me expressing frustration over how I was constantly seen as overemotional and wanted to feel validated in it? partially yes. but also it's just true. sources: trust me bro)

Favourite relationship: genuinely I think him and Shadow would go real well together. Not rly otp wise but just... they're both from different times and they're both extremely good at angsting (said so very affectionately) but in pretty different ways and I just think they could balance each other out pretty neatly there. Silver could teach Shadow how to find joy in small things even when the world is collapsing on you (sometimes literally so) and Shadow in turn could teach him how to strategically make an escape to cool down to cope with some real fucko moments. I could go on tehee but this post is already growing stupidly long

Favourite headcanon: this one, unlike all the other answers so far, is actually directly yoinked from someone else - the headcanon that he's got a lot of scars, mostly hidden under his fur. shadow the hedgehog came to mind recently, a game that in many regards has an overblown reputation, but also one that utilizes a 'moral choice system' as part of its main gimmick of a chose your own adventure style story. Now there are three things i wanna note about how shadow implements this moral system that i find interesting before making the actual comparison i wanna make.

1. evil missions are on the whole much easier then hero missions. often by a substantial amount.

2. the neutral path, aka the path you take if you disregard both hero and evil missions, is the only path that end with shadow convinced hes actually a robot on either variation of its ending.

3. on that note, all of the final missions require you to make a choice between a hero or evil mission, there is no neutral missions even on the 'true neutral' paths final mission.

why do i bring this up? because i want to make a favorable comparison of shadow the hedgehog to crimson flower of fire emblem three houses. now, crimson flower stems from a route split on the black eagles path and is effectively the 'evil' mission as it were. not going to debate that, because according to developer interviews thats just what it is. now, crimson flower actually matches up with that first point rather well, of the routes its generally the easiest of the bunch not only coming in 3 chapters shorter then its sibling route silver snow, but 4 chapters shorter then the remaining two non black eagles routes. crimson flowers own copy pasted final boss is also much easier then its sister routes version coming in a whole phase shorter and with less complications to deal with.

now why is that important? i would argue because its suppose to represent 'temptation' which is the whole point of a good and evil moral binary system. the evil option is liquidizing children sure but its also the more personally expedient choice for you the player, because those kids would have needed to be protected in an escort mission later on, and to shadow the hedgehogs credit it actually accomplishes this point very well, arguably better then most because instead of tying the moral binary to personal perks it instead ties it to the flow of the story and the gameplay presented to you. the evil mission on the circus level for instance is clearing up enemies, as are a lot of the evil missions, well the good mission requires more scrutiny to collect a large number of rings. crimson flower isnt quite to this same extent as its more so marginally easier thanks to a shorter run time and less complex bosses and mechanics to deal with, but it is atleast built towards this point.

but what about the second shadow point as it were? this isnt particularly relevant to crimson flower because theres no neutral option between it and silver snow, i would just like to note it because the neutral missions in shadow are also the most self interested missions on shadows part, hes intentionally ignoring the world ending conflict around him to focus on his personal happiness and knowledge but it blows up in his face as it were by convincing him hes a robot. in that sense its also arguably symbolic of the player themself rather then shadow, that in refusing to take a side in the conflict they turn shadow into a vessel for their own objectives and desires making him symbolically little better then a robot. and now we can pull out a relation to crimson flower, because crimson flower ties this element of 'player vessel' into its 'evil' option instead of relegating that to a neutral option. that in rejecting the evidence around you of edelgards complicity and crimes, you in essence remove byleths agency and identity as a character and it becomes no longer a story about them so much as a story about you and what you want. where crimson flower stumbles in, is in not subverting that vassal ship with the cruel twist of shadow convincing himself hes a robot. its why a lot of people more critical of crimson flower feel byleth should have died when their heart disappeared because that would have served a similar narrative function. instead byleths allowed to live and romance per the players desires.

which brings me to the third point, how the final missions of shadow force you to chose between good and evil. in shadows case its fairly obvious, its a way of forcing you to make a final moral decision and definitive choice on which side to support. in crimson flowers case that dilemma instead serves as the inciting incident of the route split. not much else to really say in that regard because they serve different narrative functions [which flavour of ending shadow gets and which split in the story byleth takes] but similar thematic ones of rising above or falling to temptation. i should also note that many of the evil options in shadows case tend to be about enacting a sense of justice against gun for its actions, blowing up their stuff, killing the president, destroying their base and helping black doom win, because gun was personally mean to shadow.

Dimension’s Ridge Announcement!

Hi everyone, With all the rise in Sonic media and the great releases coming up, such as The New sonic game in 2022,the sonic movie 2, sonic prime, and literally anything Idw has been releasing including their new side series “Imposter syndrome”, I am challenged to up my game and release information on my long running project in the works. Especially Since sonic prime and Idw is literally gonna blow out all the spoilers before I do if I don't start releasing stuff first. Since its been happening constantly, I gotta be a step ahead.

So, without further ado, I introduce you to the World of Dimension's Ridge.

Dimensions Ridge is My personal Alternate Universe that seeks to combine all aspects of sonic media. In fact, its super similar to the upcoming Sonic prime, archie and Idw Comics in this regard, with it possibly being a bit more ambitious, or at least equally as ambitious as Idw.

The Series will follow a number of favorite canon and non canon characters alike, but will also their universal counterparts and alternate universe selves.

The Main overarching plot line is that a Existence level Threat is putting everything in jepoardy. This Creature Known as an Existence Eater spreads its influence to a planet by releasing its minions into it, then after enough time, it comes to absorb the planet, thus erasing it from existence entirely, as if it had never been there in the first place. This has been happening for quite a while, until a few people caught onto it. They began leaving messages and warnings to others in a attempt to save them.

Being an existence level threat, this will take the combined effort of every Version of Sonic,Tails,Sally, Eggman and everyone else if they want anything to be left in the multi-verse. This Story is about how they all come together to do just that.

However that is the main plot. The story follows many minor or sub plotlines and stories that all connect and weave into this ultimate narrative. For Stories featuring Sonic and friends, Stories start off in the classic area and work their way into the modern area as the characters develop and mature, so we get to see and live their journey alongside them. For older characters and parents, I wanted them to have a  more staple involvement in the series, even if only at the beginning. Their Adventures as the World slowly slips into chaos can be read in War on Mobius.

While there are Prequels to the beginning of the story, such as the “Rift War.”, the main storylines that kicks off all the other starts is one of my current productions “War on Mobius.”This follows the economical and political collapse following the Recent End of The Rift War and begins the Egg Empire's rise to Power.I would like to mention that The Egg Empire Now consists of the collective versions of Eggman all working together as a family. Egg Fam for short. But we have Great additions such as boom eggman, Ova Eggman, Aosth Eggman, Satam Eggman, Russian Eggman,Eggette, and a few custom additions such as Omelette and Scramble.

Things That happen in War on Mobius will be seen effecting or influencing the states of things in my Classic Era Story “Classic adventures.” and others ones such as “The Freedom Fighters.”

Alongside canon appearances of less known or scrapped characters and designs, such as Tiara and Honey the Cat, Readers can expect appearances of my own characters, both as counterparts to main characters, and also as people who drive the story forward and show interesting and dynamic opinions of their changing world. A few Such ones would be “Tribal Ties” Focusing on the Tribes of Echidnas, Bayblonians and Pangolins Tribes, all of which play a part not only in Mobius history, but also will play a vital part in its future.

After Classic adventures, comes one of my long running claims to fame and a personal favorite of mine from my early script writing days. Zone Runners. This takes place after the Events of Classic adventures and as the world has been influenced by the political unrest in War on Mobius. It follows the Group of People on the East Side of the World as they try to fight back against the Egg Empire, Newly risen Oscillators Group, and The Very lack of Sonic and Freedom Fighter there. This series will also begin unraveling some of the mysteries behind the existence eater and the ultimate narrative. Originally this concept came from the Fleetway comics, and ever since I've been completely inspired to incorporate this into my own series. If anyone was ever on Sonic Amino, they might have seen me post things related to it back in the day.

I also wish to be a more character focused series as a whole, one who focuses on the people collectively as opposed to just Sonic himself. I want it to as if each character us actually a main character and can save the day, and that the day is only won because everyone has done their part, whether powerful or powerless.

To that End, I have many characters stories intertwine, or lead to one another. Some characters will have branching off stories, while others will be closely intertwined, and always interact with each other, regardless of who the story is currently focusing on.

A few I'd like to notable mention is, Shadow's Ark, Silvers Sanctuary, and Heir of Sol. Focusing on the characters Shadow, Silver, And Blaze Respectively.

While I have a lot of other Titles for the stories respectively, I'd just to touch on a few more before I close.

Worlds collide finally answers the question in sonic media about two planets and the dimensional connundrum of sonic rush and sonic 06. While also bringing together multiple characters who were on their own paths, for the collected purpose of setting up how everyone will be needed much later.

Dimension Forces is, a reimagined Version of Sonic Forces, including a whole new team of villains to take on the heroes from our prior stories. I call them: Forever Force. The Main Three Hitters Being the Villains Infinite, Eternity, And Enigma. In this Story we'll get to see Whispers team in action, and also get to see new stories involving Gadget and His Brother Widget, and a host of other rising heroes soldiers and returning cast members.

I also had this Idea that the wisps were able to use their abilities on their own, except in smaller weaker versions then when they had a mobians help.Thus you could call in drill air strikes and other things to help you in battle, and the flew alongside you rather than in containers. I had these idea way long ago, but what do you know Idw beat me to the punch again in rise of the wisps. However I would just like to say before they do it too, that I had the idea of the wisps combining their powers, as if anyone played Sonic simulator, you would know you can actually combine wisp powers. If its the same type, its twice as strong with a bonus effect. If its different, you can combine the strengths of two different powers. Think how eggman used cube with laser in the boss nega wisp armor.

Speaking of Sonic Simulator! Thats another Story I have plans for. Following alongside the events of Sonic colors, Sonic simulator follows the group of hedgehogs abducted from Mobius and sent to eggman's interstellar amusement park as part of an organic experiment to take out sonic. Suggested by The Leader of the Oscillators, These hedgehogs will now have to work together to prove their worth to Eggman and as worthy adversaries of Sonic! But what of their past memories? What will happen if they remember? And if they do, can they escape? Find out! Also its follow up story leads to sonic lost world.

I'd also like to talk about the Idw Verse Mini series I have been working on! Getting Art from the Talented CatRage and getting to voice my Ideas to My Friends as well as My sister, I present my own Miniseries! Mimic's misadventures!

This story takes place between  the events of Idw's Bad guys, and follows mimic's operations and struggles as he tries to complete his missions, and deal with people of similar caliber to himself. Will this mercenary manipulate his way easily out of another situation? Or has the Octopus finally met the one group who will send him back to the ocean? Find out!

Currently, this miniseries has 5 canon issues and one undecided.

hehe, so since im in a video game mood rn and thinking a lot about old video games/video games i love, if you were to ask me “hey ruby!!! what games/sequels/trilogies would you like to see remade???” well, here’s which ones i think should get remade: (this’ll be a pretty long post, so you can just click the link down below if ya want to read the whole thing)

out of any old final fantasy game that should get a remake like the final fantasy 7 remake, if i had to choose one, it would have to be final fantasy 6. that’s just one of my favorite final fantasy games (right up there with final fantasy 7, that is), and like. final fantasy 6 is kind of the perfect bridging gateway game between the fantasy/medieval/middle earth early final fantasy games (from 1-5) to the futuristic/modern/grounded to earth final fantasy games (7, 8, 10, 13 & 15), so like. realistically??? final fantasy 6 is probably one of the only few games i think should get a final fantasy 7 remake-esque remake, and it is one that i think can work in that realistic style compared to something like. final fantasy 9 or final fantasy 4, ngl

super mario rpg, obviously, id love to see that game get a remake. maybe with like, a lot more characters (luigi & wario would work perfectly in there), any content they had to cut out, maybe add more to the game that we didn’t even think of that could work (like, not just story padding, maybe stuff like the koopalings, daisy, wart from mario 2). idk, id just like a super mario rpg remake done in a similar style to the link’s awakening switch remake

despite how important these games are to mario’s history as they are the first original handheld mario platformers, as well as introducing wario, another important mario character, it’s kinda weird how nintendo hasn’t really paid much attention to the super mario land trilogy, or even the wario land series. and while i think a new wario land game will certainly get everybody (myself included) very excited, id also get excited if the original mario land series got an all stars-esque remake. heck, id get excited if all the wario land games got remade too in their own package (like, the mario land trilogy will just have mario land 1, 2 & 3, while the wario land remakes can either start out with mario land 3, or virtual boy wario land, or even wario land 2)

i think the original paper mario trilogy of the 2000s should get their own remake/upscaled ports to the switch as well. stuff like paper mario 64 should obviously get remade from the ground up, while stuff like the thousand year door & super paper mario should get like. upscaled graphics, or even new content (like in the thousand year door, there should be a whole sidequest or extra campaign dedicated to luigi’s own journeys that he goes on at the same time as mario’s, i think thatd b pretty neat & funny)

if any megaman game were to get a remake, i think they should be like. the original zero storyline megaman x games. like, ya know, megaman x1-5. and while ik games like megaman x1-3 already get a lot of love, and megaman x5 doesnt really get as much hatred (i think??? i never finished that game), i think megaman x4 should get a lot more love. not only is it my favorite megaman x game, but like. it has a pretty good storyline, each character gets their own unique story, and like. i just like a lot about megaman x4, i really do, and im sad it commonly gets referred to as the worst megaman x game just because of its voice acting. it gets a lot of flack for its voice acting, and honestly, if the voice acting was just mediocre or average, then i really think a lot more people will appreciate this game. like, in my eyes, if megaman x1-5 got remakes in the cel-shaded rendered style of megaman 11 or dragon ball fighterz, then thatd b cool. id also b down to a new megaman x game too aoisdjfiaos

ok, so, kirby games!!!! ik stuff like kirbys adventure & kirby’s super star got remakes, and while they’re great, id love to see more kirby games get remakes!!! and i got two seperate candidates that’d work. and that first one will be a remake of the “dark matter” trilogy of kirby games. games like kirby’s dream land 2, kirby’s dream land 3, & kirby 64. i think these games are pretty important in the kirby series as not only are these the first instance of the deep lore seen in later kirby games (stuff like return to dream land, planet robobot, and star allies), but like. dream land 2 was the first game to introduce kirbys animal allies, which have become staples for a lot of the kirby games (dream land 3, wow, thats all i could really think of oasidjfio). so like, yea!!! thatd b pretty epic

another kirby “trilogy” id love to see get remade or even get remasters of onto switch would have to be the “return to dream land” games. games like kirby’s return to dream land and even the 3ds games that were built off of that: kirby’s triple deluxe & kirby’s planet robobot. i mean, these games are fairly recent, and stuff like return to dream land isn’t even 10 years old yet. but like, i think if these games got upscaled graphics/models & resolution, as well as a bunch of new/cut content, it can also work

oooooooooooooooooo boy, there are a lot of sonic games id love to see get remade considering i think about sonic alot. stuff like sonic 3 & knuckles getting the sonic 1, 2 & cd treatment (get upgraded ports to ios & android, a bunch of new content from sonic mania, etc), as well as said sonic 1 & 2 mobile ports get released to steam or other consoles. itd be cool to see shadow the hedgehog get an upgraded port to the switch for a low price. maybe even see sonic x-treme get completed. but if theres any sonic game id love to see get a full on, worked from the ground up remake, it’d have to be the sonic dreamcast trilogy. and by that, i mean sonic games that were worked off of the same dreamcast technology/engine. games like sonic adventure 1, 2 & sonic heroes. and like, not just stuff like the gamecube or steam ports. i mean, full on remakes with updated models, updated animations & cutscenes, updated rendering, updated voice acting, updated everything!!! with that, id love to see the chao garden get a full blown overhaul, with more deeper chao breeding, more games to play with your chao, more special, unique chaos & even stuff like chao bonuses to the main campaigns. and even somethign that’d be cooler would be like. either free updates or DLC that would add more campaigns to these games with new characters (like the babylon rogues, the classic characters, silver & blaze, etc), and like. i KNOW thats a lot to work on, but like, i think a lot of people would appreciate that. plus, i consider the sonic adventure games would be a perfect introduction to the sonic series, i think these games could get a lot more people hooked onto the series!!! new & old fans alike!!! but, thats just my thots, and this would be impossible realistically. id still want it 2 happen tho 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

while ik everyone wants that gen iv remake, may i recommend a??? gen v remake??? pokemon black & white are still one of my favorite pokemon games, they were very close to me growing up, and i. just have so much goddamn appreciation and love for this game!!!! i think its one of game freaks more underappreciated games, and ik there a ton of people that can agree with me on that!!! it was just such a different and unique experience, with such a deep story, really good and underappreciated and underloved pokemon designs, and just. i’d love it if we really got a gen 5 remake, especially seeing how much game freak has been putting a lot more gen 5 nostalgia in all of their recent products (from a ton of gen 5 pokemon appearing in detective pikachu, to gen v pokemon getting galarian forms in pokemon sword & shield, and even gen v pokemon appearing in a lot more spin offs lately). like. trust me, pokemon black and white isn’t really as bad as people made it off to be in 2011. it really is a modern masterpiece in video games, i really recommend checking it out and begging game freak to give it a remake about as much as yinz have been begging game freak to remake diamond & pearl

obviously mario 64, sunshine, & galaxy 1 & 2 should get full on remakes. yinz know i wanted one this whole year, and im very disappointed we got these barely upgraded ports to switch instead. thats it on that, i dont need to go into further detail

who is a alpha gamer and can they tell us about their gamer pad

welcome to my house. as you can see i have knocked over many chairs because i get so tilted at the towers. well this isn't really titled or a tower. well you see, it's a gamer pad. not many girls come in here because i get friend zoned so frequently, but that's ok. i'd like to be in the friend zone! i like friends! it’s not as pleasant as you think. they don't treat you like a friend, they treat you like an item. sometimes i wish i could be more than just an accessory to these women. but unfortunately, as a gamer i dont get respect. well i'm not a gamer, so maybe they will respect me! that just makes you a beta cuck. thats the difference between you and i, silver the hedgehog, im an alpha gamer!
