My workplace has a bunch of 20+ year old reference books that my boss won't let me weed even though no one needs an Encyclopedia of Computing from 2001 but I recently cracked open an ancient tome simply titled Chronology of Women and was baffled to learn that it included mythological figures and fictional women being created by men on its timeline (ex: 8 CE Ovid writes the story of Philomela in The Metamorphoses) but if those are in fact criteria for inclusion, an updated Chronology of Women can, should, and must contain the creation of Vriska
#the WILDEST part is that it didn't differentiate the mythic events in any way#it was just like (insert date here) goddess saves sailors from drowning#me: she did??
