thinking about my relationship with fashion and being nonbinary and being black and I simply can't forgive the white queers for making me think the "default" nonbinary was just being skinny and masc

but also shoutout to all the nonbinary poc (especially black nonbines) that break that stigma. goes to show that even in the grander scheme of the alphabet mafia you still need your own communities to resonate with

#blu rambles #idk how long I've been nonbinary now but I know for the longest time and still now really #I've really been stuck in trying to fit that 'no features no curves' look to obtain 'perfect' androgyny #don't get me wrong I am still more masc leaning but the way my genetics are set up the hips are going to be doing their thing #but I really want to start wearing things OTHER than sweatpants bc I can't hide behind baggy clothes forever #BUT if I do wear baggy clothes I want to at least be more intentional with it and not look like I just threw something on #the aesthetic that has piqued my interest has been like 90s black fashion x kpop boy bands (which listen they overlap a lot)#so I wanna embrace that but also trying to do that while trying to be perceived as Not a Girl--#Issa struggle out here but mayhaps one day I'll achieve what something #I barely know what I'm going on about anymore lol #I think I really need to sit down and figure out wtf nonbinary means to ME before I get in the mess that is everything else
