COTC WEEK 2025 DAY 4: FAMILY

WITH DAVID, KELSEY, KIRI (oc), ROGER (+ The champions kinda,, theyre mentioned)

Late as SHITTTTT For this but Ive been tired </3 Also yes this is entry Oc centric I dont CAREEEE HE HAS ALOT OF LITTLE FAMILY DYNAMICS AND I WANTED TO DRAW THEM

Anywayssssssss we all know how much I love the Big Brother Elders hc especially with David and Kelsey so you KNOWWWWW I had to draw them

EVERYTIME THESE GUYS ARE IN THE SAME EPISODE TOGETHER THEYRE ALWAYS DOINGGGG SOMETHING Like David’s nicknames for Kelsey, the little getting sworn in scene in Dibs Court etc etc ITS SO CUTEEE

Idk Kelsey’s 0 to 100 attitude and David’s general “:D?” is super funny to me, you know this girl would drag him into shit before he can even blink and then he’d have no power in getting them out of it (Knowing David he’d make it worse actually)

You could clearly tell Kelsey really looked up to the Elders at the start of the show, and she doesn’t have any siblings or many figures in her life for guidance beside her dad, so idk I could definitely see her looking up to them in not just a role model or “wow wise wizard” way like the other kids in the creek, but probably in a more big brother way. Especially with the way older siblings are sometimes portrayed in media she’d probably think this is what having older siblings is like.

Then as the show goes on she stops,,, not looking up to them but more so just figuring out “man,, these are just some guys” and then from there being like “SIGGGGHHH These guys” WHICH IDK ITS STILL SIBLING CORE TO ME THE ELDERS ARE SPECIALLY HER BIG BROTHERS OKAY

I know I dont talk about him much so bare with me here

Kiri lives in a little cave in the creek and often scavenges around it for whatever he needs but most of the time he raids the Elders’ snack stash in Elder Rock most of the time

ON TOP OF THAY HE JUST,, hangs in Elder Rock alot when everyone’s gone home after the Dinner Horn. Sorta like a little sibling going in your room when youre not home if that makes sense

Aside from stealing, sometimes the Elders just allow him to burrow or have old things they dont need so he has a small collection of old vhs tapes and a gameboy (From david) SORTA LIKE HAND ME DOWNS IF THAT MAKES SENSE And also David hands him his helmet from time to time when he isnt using it which Kiri likes alot because loreeeee reasonnsssss

David also trims Kiri’s hair so its not,, too bad and you know I had to do this cause

Yadda Yadda, older brother who checks up on his wilderness younger brother and gives him things or sits by him to help him with a level or WHATEVER SEE MY VISION HERE THEYRE CUTEEEEE

KELSEY AND KIRI IS SORTA SIMILAR TO HER AND DAVID TOO, Along the lines of She gets into shit and drags him into it and she sorta looks up to him because she relates to him on a few levels and it fills in a role that she hasn’t had before

Also despite him being older than her by a few years (7 to be exact), HE goes to HER when he’s scared and he looks so STUPIDDDDDD

BECAUSE DESPITE LIVING IN THE CREEK HES SCARED OF THE DARK So often times he’ll have stories of beasts and monsters he SWEARS UP AND DOWN HE SAW And knowing Kelsey you know she’ll wanna go after them so she has to drag the big baby with her

Think like how her and Gibson were in Creature Feature, thats Kelsey and Kiri

IDK THESE THREE TOGETHER ARE LIKE THREE NERDS BUT THE YOUNGEST IS BOSSING THE OTHER TWO AROUND and having to fight their battles because they cower behind her

theyre cute okay

Aside from the Elders tho, Kiri’s main group of little family is the Champions

THEYRE ALL HIS LITTLE SIBLINGS AND HES THE OLDER BROTHER THEY ALL THROW AROUND LIKE A RAG DOLL (especially because hes smaller than 3/4 of them)

Theyre all always bickering and tussling and roughhousing, before they all go in a huge pile to take a nap from how tired they are from fighting, before shortly being woken up and beginning to tussle all over again

Theyre just a bunch of kids who play rough and in ways that ward off other kids, no matter how much they bicker tho they have each other’s bavks and always stick together and ORUGHHH THEY HAVE MY WHOLE HEART AND THEY ALL MAKE ME CRYYY

Developing Thoughts about Tiziano and Oskha the Have-Not

I've been listening to this YouTube video my brother recently showed me this weekend while drawing that has all the character, dungeon, and battle themes for the masters and bestowers of fame, wealth, power, and all since they're not out on Apple Music yet. All these songs really are so good! Oskha the Have-Not is one of my favorites from the video, and listening to his themes a lot has me thinking more about him recently.

I've always had beef with Oskha. Tiziano has always been my favorite member of the original Bargello family (I'm not sure why; he just is), and I was heartbroken when he 'died' in MoW chapter 3. Ever since I learned he was playable in JP, I've been patiently and excitedly waiting for him to come out on GL. At the time, I kept seeing people talk about Tiziano funny when Oskha was mentioned, which confused and scared me. Tiziano was dead! My dumb brain thought that, maybe, Tiziano kept coming up because the two look so similar (I never got so far as to think why they looked similar)! Eventually, I relented and asked my brother, who isn't as far as I am in CotC but basically knows everything that happens, what was going on. Then it clicked that Tiziano was Oskha. I was absolutely devastated. First the game killed off one of my favorite characters, and then they made him secretly evil! Oskha only made it worse when I actually got to the reveal in the game and he kept talking how Tiziano was never real. I really felt for Pierro Della when he told Rosso, frustrated at his reluctance to kill Oskha if necessary, that Rosso didn't know Tiziano. To us, Tiziano was very real. When I fought Oskha, I loved it of course when the family helped me out in battle, and I was so sad and slightly teary-eyed when Oskha died in Bargello's arms and Bargello put him to rest in the pile of gold. I really love Tiziano, but listening to Oskha's themes has me appreciating him a little more than before. Having Oskha be someone that both I and the family knew made the stakes so much higher and the story that much more emotional for me. Sometimes, I try to head canon a way to keep Tiziano alive for my own indulgence, but then the struggle becomes imagining a Bestower of Wealth that is as deeply entwined with the family as Tiziano. It's hard. I don't really have the details sorted. It's odd to say, but Oskha may even be my favorite Bestower of Fame/Wealth/Power (whether he's my overall favorite master/bestower is hard to say because I love Sazantos more by the day, primarily due to his association with Rondo, my favorite CotC character). I appreciate Oskha a lot more now.

Okay so it's been like, a few months since I put anything into this tag BUT! Quadpath became Octopath lol. I added a 5th party member because the NPC I had planned them to meet later in the campaign ended up gaining story significance thanks to CoTC, and then I wanted the full 8 so NOW GUESS WHAT LOL

We just had the last session of Chapter 1 today, picked up & met all 8 travelers (The last two won't officially join until a little later into CH 2) and it has delightfully set up everyone's beginning arcs.

One of my dear players just picked up the Hunters and god damn ran with it, making a whole new clan and we just kept coming up with more and more and I am VIBING like hell with it. I fully intend to let them keep having fun with the lore potential.

So, just to quickly say, the campaign is drawing upon both Octo 1 and CotC, with some ideas from Octo 2. It takes place 2 years after Octo 1's events.

SO! Let me introduce you all to everyone! in OCTOPATH order ^^

First up, Orinthia!

She was met last, and for good reason. Orinthia here is from G'roha, and a Scholar. She says she's here with a sponsorship from someone and is here to research Orsterra's Gods... and legends... and artifacts... stuff like that ;P

I'm doing my best with G'roha, considering the lack of much information beyond what CoTC's wiki is giving. I am gonna work hard with what I got.

Her main colour is ORANGE (yes despite the sheer amount of black. Most everyone is wearing black from that country anyway)

Next up, Callum Faulkner! One of the core 4!

A Merchant who was attempting to build a Merchant company called the Selenites, but has been sadly thwarted at nearly every turn by "Crows" (That's what my two players have been calling them, I'm sure you all know who exactly I'm talking about)

He's a pretty jovial and seemingly easy going guy, but he doesn't really divulge much about himself, other than that he's not really getting on well with his patron god Bifelgan.

His main colour is WHITE/SILVER

AND NOW! ONE OF OUR MAIN BOIS! The one who kicked off this adventure: TORBIE!

That's him at the start, and right now at the end of CH 1, he has an update!

Art done by his dear player @pklcha ^v^ Torbie here is the Hunter, from a Hunter Clan called Northmaw, that my dear has been pouring so much into, like... holy fuck, I am so happy they are so hyped about this! This boi is out to make his Legend, and he may or may not apparently have a hotline to his patron God!

I wonder how that will turn out lol ;P (I have such fun plans)

His main colour is GREEN

(They just fought a Heavenwing and he cooked that bird with lightning)

NEXT OF THE CORE 4! My dearest, murderous Apothecary, Ozella Hawthorne ;P

Met around the same time as Callum, Ozella was found being trafficked by 'Crows' in a massive crystal. Which everyone has since learned, was a huge Blood crystal. Thankfully that clean up was done easy but all they know of their mysterious Apothecary is that she's scary, intimidating, is out for revenge, and has an armful of Blood Crystals that are growing there. Ozella is out to find out everything she can in pursuit of her real target, the one that did... everything to her.

Ozella's main colour is PURPLE

And now, for the main who turned this from Quadpath to Octopath again! Percival Mac Alasdair!

A current Knight Ardante (Warrior), the Core 4 Travelers met him in Flamesgrace when a man not dressed for the Frostlands was seemingly on a crazed bender. They tracked him down into the Cave of Origin where the man truly seemed crazed and had to take him down. Percy then joined the group when his captain sent him to learn more about where the crazed man had come from and what is going on.

The team then unfortunately found out about his affliction in Swark'ii: The crazed affliction, a sort of berserk mode, also affects Percival, though he does his best to keep it under control. He's doing his awkward best tho!

For those from CoTC, he's originally from Emberglow soooo ifykyk ;PPP

His main colour is RED

Next up, the last of the Core 4 and my other player! Altair Aalto!

(And of course the art Star did of her dear character!)

Is that a mechanical arm? Yes. Star asked me if she could? I said convince me, she convinced me, and thus I pulled some bullshit out of my ass using the as yet unseen continent of Gaborra to make it work. I love it, I'm rolling with it, it's fun ;P

A former soldier of Hornburg, Altair spent the past couple years in Sunshade under the new management after a certain //cough cough// proprietor died to afford that new arm, delivered by Callum (though there was a small hiccup, the arm did get delivered lol)

Now he's on a journey around Orsterra to take momentos of his fallen brothers in arms to places they wanted to see. And recently he said "I'm an Open Book that no one wants to read."

That was said in jest and inflicted 1d6 of damage on all of us INCLUDING HIMSELF

(It's not that no one wants to read him, it's that everyone else has skeletons right now in their closet, and to read is to invite being read into in turn and theeeey don't want rn. They just met, it's gonna take a hot minute)

Obviously, his main colour is BLUE (And the only one who's OBVIOUSLY wearing their colour)

Up next is the other traveler they met today but won't be joining just yet: Thursday!

Callum and Torbie met her in Lower Bolderfall (Percy and Altair also met Orinthia there in the upper section) when she tried (very poorly) to steal something from Callum.

Callum immediately recognized that she is a VERY new tealeaf, possibly trying to play at one even, and is over all just very annoyed by the brief encounter. Those two are gonna have some fun times later on ;P

Thursday's main colour is BLACK

And to round out the roster, met on the trail to S'warkii after a truly ABYSSMAL Giant Boar encounter: Helena Ayleward!

A 50 year old from Wispermill, their current Cleric (and former farmer) despite the lack of Faith, who's currently trying to FIND it again. After the events that befell her village 2 years ago (IFYKYK wink wink wink), Helena went searching for where she could place her faith. A re-encounter with Ophilia Clement encouraged her to travel the breadth of Orsterra to find it again. Wherever faith may lie. At least Aelfric sees fit to answer her healing magic.

Helena's main colour is YELLOW

(Don't mess with Grandma, that is a pitchfork staff and she's got farmer strength)

SO! That is everyone for this campaign's troupe of Travelers! They've all gotten along quite well so far, other than a few mishaps and a lot of teasing banter and bickering (and that Orin and Thursday aren't officially apart of it yet)

I am having, so much fun, they are having so much fun, this is gonna be great. HA! Chapter 2, here we come!

Dandy has fur on most of his body, including arms, but it's hidden by his onesie.

Sprout has paws. He also has a snout. (He's like. 3 different animals.)

Most toons in this AU have tails (EG; Astro, Dandy, Sprout, Looey, Flutter, Yatta, Vee, etc.)

Astro's cloak is actually a pair of moth wings he uses as a cloak. Moonstone shares the trait, and does the same with their own wings, but not as frequently.

Whenever the toon in charge of dreams (In this case, Astro) dies, their closest living relative (In this case, Hoshi) will take over the job.

Dandy is the most traumatized toon in the AU, but hides it well.

Sprout is the second most traumatized.

Dandy and Sprout have two children, one biological (Resin "Charlie" Seedly, six years old), and one adopted (Silas Dancifer, sixteen years old. Not to be confused with Silas Whitte, Rudie's cousin.)

Resin's nickname is Resi.

Resin tends to go by her middle name rather than her first name. Her middle name was chosen by Sprout, who chose the name after his cousin Charlie.

COTC WEEK 2025 DAY ONE: FIRST MEETING

STARING THE CHAMPIONS!!!

FIRST CREEK WEEK ENTRY IM EXCITEDD 🤭🤭 and who better to start with than my babies the champions. Was originally gonna make this a comic but I can NAWT do those so enjoy a combination of art and loose bullet points :3

• For starters, I like to think Keun Sup and Jackie were the first to meet and become friends

•We all know about Keun Sup’s little frizzbee trick that gained him his nickname as the Blur, and since he took great pride in the nickname it’s no doubt he’d constantly be preforming his trick and gathering a large audience of kids

•One day, however, as Keun Sup was preforming his trick, he collided into another kid who had caught Keun Sup’s frizzbee and when Keun Sup attempted to get it back the other kid refused. Onlookers began to back away when they realized this was Jackie, or more commonly the Arm, a kid who had gained a reputation around the creek for his off-putting behavior and even more unsettling skills, just overall not a kid who should be messed with

•Keun Sup and his thick fucking skull however refused to back down until he got his frizzbee back. Eventually, Jackie (after some struggle for the two to understand each other) proposes a bet; Jackie will throw Keun Sup’s disc as far as he can and if Keun Sup can catch it he can have it back. A challenge most kids would shy away from but one Keun gladly accepted

And so began the showdown between the Blur and the Arm

•Jackie throws the disc (cue dramatic effects of the frizzbee cutting through trees from the strength of Jackie’s throw) and within the blink of an eye, Keun Sup is running to catch it which he manages to do

•Both kids are trilled from the challenge and decide to have a few more runs, both excited at the fact they found worthy competition to pit their skills against. Without realizing, the bet becomes more game than challenge

•The sheer power from their game however, leads to some wreckage throughout the creek, causing many kids to flee the scene. And among the chaos, the pair unknowingly catch the eye of royalty

•By the time the two are done playing, they’re confronted by the King’s BFF, who invites them to the castle

• Its there the two are formally made Champions, keeping their renowned nicknames

• Soon enough, they meet the third Champion as well, who’s less than trilled to be paired with them and scoffs that she isnt one to work with “puny, little babies”

•Their other member in the court, the King’s BFF isnt as welcoming either and so Keun Sup and Jackie decide to stick together and have each other’s backs through this, their past rivalry now forgotten as they focus on their next rivals

• Eventually, Keun Sup learns ASL to help communicate with Jackie better, and while they squabble with Aggie, the Squishinator here and there, the trio soon begin getting along.

•Though they all become for friendly with one another, their friendship doesn’t peak until the three accidentally discover their signature waterfall seen in Champion’s Hike, and from this point, the three become practically inseparable, becoming the group of trouble makers we seen in the show

Tldr; stupid kids tussle until eventually they become like siblings to one another (they still tussle tho)

New cotc oc because I've forgotten about my first one:

This is Lena, a former pirate alongside Serena (who she had a FAT crush on) who was kicked off the crew. I first made her when writing my shannon-centric fic as the Pirate Girl (spoiler) who tried kidnapping Tony.

Lena lost her arm due to complications when she was born. After that, their parents (mainly her mother) would constantly baby her and insist on doing everything for her. A scrapped knee was the equivalent to a broken bone, next thing you know she isn't allowed to play outside for a week. This further frustrated Lena as her parents were constantly worrying about her and viewed her a helpless (smaller) child. So Lena grew desperate for someone to see them as a respectable girl capable of doing things herself despite her disability.

It was no surprise Serena's pirate crew clicked so quickly with her.

As a pirate, Lena grew prideful and obsessed over becoming a stronger and more respectable pirate. The fear she gave people gave them the power they lacked with her own family. Every raid was a chance to prove herself as stronger, often trying to outshine their fellow crewmates by always getting the biggest item to steal.

(This is a retelling of a part in my fic, you can go to that fic if you want)

However one raid, Lena spots a group of scouts running along the creek trying to get away from the pirates. Refusing to leave the raid empty handed, she decides to steal something from the scouts.

Failing to steal from the scouts, she decides to steal one of the scouts.

Lena kidnaps Tony not wanting to leave the raid empty handed, and to make him a pirate. With his small size, he could be used to crawl into smaller spaces for Serena.

However, Lena is caught by Shannon and is held hostage in order to negotiate a deal with Serena.

After the negotiation, Lena is given back to Serena, but at a cost.

Due to their reckless behavior, letting themselves be captured by a non pirate which resulted in Serena making a deal with a non pirate in order to get her back, Lena is kicked from the pirate crew.

Now, they are forced into becoming a creek kid.

After being kicked from the crew, the creek kids no longer fear her, and they lose the respect they worked hard to obtain.

Now being forced to live like a regular creek kid, she is surprised that none of her old crewmates show mercy towards her during their raids.

She doesn't last a month being the weaker person, and out her hurt pride, they leave the creek.

They don't come back until a year after Serena's pirate crew ends.

She is now a weapons dealer for the creek kids and takes commissions for weapons by creek kids in exchange for goods (sometimes money)

Ok. Let’s start off with the battle cats’ story mode.

The Empire of Cats (EoC)

Once upon a time, there’s an army of “the battle cats” hellbent on world domination. They would travel around the earth and conquer one nation and continent after another, with the assistance of their creator The Cat God (which is optional). They also recruited some special units into their army throughout their journey (I.e. Valkyrie and Bahamut cat). After conquering entire nations, the cat army would single-handedly then take over the moon aswell. In it, they found a time-traveling device. What happens next for our plucky Cat Army? Well… let’s just find out for ourselves.

Into The Future (ItF)

In this next saga, the cats have entered the future. They would find themselves in the year 29XX, where aliens have already conquered the entire world. The cat army knew these aliens were giving them a run for their money, so of course, they had to do what they were born to do like in the past. They’ve encountered some seemingly bizarre entities in the future, and they also happened to stumble across interesting new locations like The Great Abyss, and The Floating Continent. After sweeping the aliens off of earth for good, they make it to the moon once again. They were shocked to find out about the special units they recruited… to have been corrupted. After defeating the clones, they’ve unlocked true forms for both Valkyrie and Bahamut cat. After the dust is settled, the cats would then go on to build a rocket. But what for, exactly?

Cats of the Cosmos (CotC)

Yep, that’s right. The cat army LITERALLY built a rocket for them to launch themselves further into the galaxy and to viscerally conquer the universe once more. There, they would encounter more and pick fights with more aliens, as they rule over every planet and nebula they see. (Interestingly, they discovered a new type of alien with an ability to warp anyone from a distance, called the “Starred Alien.”) Upon dominating the universe altogether, they have now arrived at the Big Bang. There, they get to meet the Cat God himself, preparing to fight. Surprisingly enough, the Cat Army has now taken the one deity that had created them in the first place. Upon defeating Cat God, the universe has now been officially ruled by the cats, for the cats.

The Ending

Its been revealed the whole time that Cat God has been narrating the timelines for EoC, ItF, and now, CotC. Interestingly enough, he’s about 20 years young. Still doesn’t look his age though, but what does it matter? All that matters now is that the cats have now achieved full-on domination of the entire universe. There’s nowhere to run from them now, just… cats. Nothing but cats. With all that being said, Cat God has declared that the cats should now move on to the rule the realm of legends next. (aka Stories of Legend)

That’s pretty much it. What do you think? Would you bet the cat army and the rabbids would get along as world domination partners? Or will it be competitive, just like with the aliens? (Im just saying, these guys would fit so well for a crossover to not happen lol)

Rabbids are chaotic creature by nature, so an alliance with the cats might be problematic. Unless the cats are also very chaotic (which I assume from what you wrote and what I remember, lol), in that case Rabbids might see them as potential partners in crime. Cats are fond of space and time travel, so I wouldn't be surprised if Rabbids befriended them as they seem to like messing with space/time too (also Rabbids might come from the moon, so they might see the cats as a way to return there).

Regardless, would cats adapt and create new Rabbid-like cats to face or become ally with them? A Rabbid cat armed with a plunger is something to not underestimate, lol.

One thing is for sure: if they'd ever team up, there would be chaos.
