Towered Pavilion, Eastern Han dynasty, 2nd-3rd century.
Earthenware with green glaze,  w44.5 x h104.5 cm.
In ancient China, rulers and upper-class people liked to bury with models and pottery figurines that imitated real life objects, hoping that they could enjoy life as they were alive after death.
The pavilion in this work is in the form of a watchtower, with a total of four floors, which was the most advanced high-rise building at that time. In addition to the figures with bows and crossbows, the pavilions also show figures who look like musicians and serfs. At that time it was quite popular to use green glaze as a glaze for painted objects.

The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SCPO) proposed to the prosecutor general Ivan Geshev to submit a request to bring to criminal responsibility the deputy of GERB Daniel Alexandrov.
He is a member of parliament for the first time and is a member of the committee on children, family, youth and sports. He is 31 years old and a competitor in classical wrestling.
From the announcement of the state prosecution, it is understood that the proposal was prepared by the supervising prosecutor in the city prosecutor's office in connection with a pre-trial proceeding initiated on May 31, 2023, and it indicates that the collected evidence is sufficient to bring D.A. as a defendant for a crime under Art. 150, par. 1 of the Criminal Code.
"The supervising prosecutor considered that in the course of the investigation, evidence was gathered that on May 7, 2023, in the village of Bistrica, D.A., through the use of force, committed acts with the aim of arousing sexual desire without intercourse with a person who has reached the age of 14", reads the announcement of the prosecutor's office. For this crime, the Penal Code provides from two to eight years in prison.
In recent days, Geshev submitted a request to remove the immunity of GERB leader Boyko Borissov because of the "Barcelonagate" investigation. He also received a proposal to submit a request for the immunity of the former prime minister and co-chairman of "We Continue the Change" Kiril Petkov for filling out the citizenship declaration. The chief prosecutor also requested the immunities of two deputies from "Vazrazhdane".
Years ago, "Ataka" deputy Vladimir Kuzov was convicted of pedophilia and expelled from parliament.
Daniel Alexandrov is in the National Assembly from Region 23 Sofia. He came in after Prof. Asen Baltov announced that he was giving up his seat in parliament. Alexandrov was in second place on the electoral list in Kyustendil, but was displaced by preferences.
According to "Club Z", Aleksandrov is close to Boyko Borissov and is being considered for the GERB nomination for mayor of Dupnitsa in the local elections in the fall.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saitō Musashibō Benkei (西塔武蔵坊弁慶, 1155–1189), popularly known as simply Benkei, was a Japanese warrior monk (sōhei) who lived in the latter years of the Heian Period (794–1185)[1]. Benkei led a varied life, first becoming a monk, then a mountain ascetic, and then a rogue warrior. He later came to respect and serve the famous warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune, also known as Ushiwakamaru. He is commonly depicted as a man of great strength and loyalty, and a popular subject of Japanese folklore, showcased in many ancient and modern literature and productions.
Tumblr media
Benkei armed himself with seven weapons, and is often depicted carrying these on his back. In addition to his sword, he carried a broad axe (masakari), a rake (kumade), a sickle (nagigama), a wooden mallet (hizuchi), a saw (nokogiri), an iron staff (tetsubō), and a Japanese glaive (naginata). Benkei was said to have wandered around Kyoto every night on a personal quest to take 1000 swords from samurai warriors, who he believed were arrogant and unworthy. After collecting 999 swords through duels and looking for his final prize, he met a young man playing a flute at Gojotenjin Shrine in Kyoto. the bigger Benkei ultimately lost to the smaller warrior, who happened to be Minamoto no Yoshitsune, a son of Minamoto no Yoshitomo. Henceforth, he became Yoshitsune's retainer and fought with him in the Genpei War against the Taira clan. From 1185 until his death in 1189, Benkei accompanied Yoshitsune as an outlaw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the end, Benkei and Yoshitsune were encircled in the castle of Koromogawa no tate. As Yoshitsune retired to the inner keep of the castle to commit ritual suicide (seppuku) on his own, Benkei stood guard on the bridge in front of the main gate to protect Yoshitsune. It is said that the soldiers were afraid to cross the bridge to confront him, and that all who did met a swift death at the hands of the gigantic man, who killed in excess of 300 trained soldiers.
Tumblr media
Realizing that close combat would mean suicide, the warriors following Minamoto no Yoritomo decided to shoot and kill Benkei with arrows instead. Long after the battle should have been over, the soldiers noticed that the arrow-riddled, wound-covered Benkei was still standing. When the soldiers dared to cross the bridge and take a closer look, the giant man fell to the ground, having died standing upright.[7] This is known as the "Standing Death of Benkei" (弁慶の立往生, Benkei no Tachi Ōjō). Benkei died at the age of 34.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tales of Benkei's loyalty and honour have made him a mainstay of Japanese folklore, as well as a popular subject for literature and entertainment.
One kabuki play places Benkei in a moral dilemma, caught between lying and protecting his lord in order to cross a bridge. The critical moment of the drama is its climax, where the monk realises his situation and vows to do what he must. In another play, Benkei slays his own child to save the daughter of a lord. In the Noh play Ataka, Benkei must beat his own master (disguised as a porter) in order to avoid breaking his disguise. Ataka was later adapted into the kabuki play Kanjinchō, which became one of the most popular and widely performed works in Japanese theatre.

Pasakojimas apie du naratyvus. Kas vyksta Sirijoje? #8
Praėjus kelioms dienoms po galimos cheminio ginklo atakos Khan Sheikhoun mieste, Idlibo provincijoje, Pentagonas ir Prancūzijos žvalgyba paviešino informaciją, kuri jų manymu įrodo Basharo al-Assado rėžimo kaltę.
http://dailycaller.com/2017/04/07/heres-the-pentagons-evidence-assad-used-chemical-weapons/
Tumblr media
“We have a very high level of confidence that the attacks were carried out by aircraft under the direction of the Bashar al-Assad regime, and we also have very high confidence that the attacks involved the use of sarin nerve gas,” U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters Thursday.
National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster similarly told reporters “our intelligence community in cooperation with our friends and partners and allies around the world collaborated to determine with a very high degree of confidence precisely where the location originated. And then, of course, the sorts of chemicals that were used in the attack.”
https://www.newsdeeply.com/syria/community/2017/04/05/the-aftermath-of-an-alleged-chemical-weapon-attack-in-idlib
As world leaders issued statements of outrage over the alleged chemical attack early Tuesday morning in the southeastern Syrian province of Idlib that killed dozens of civilians, Dr. Abdel Hay Tennari was rushing to treat the victims arriving at the Sarmin Field Hospital.
Speaking to Syria Deeply by phone, he said that the 22 critical patients he had treated so far all exhibited signs of exposure to a nerve agent. Their symptoms – foaming at the mouth and fluid filling the lungs, which can lead to suffocation – were consistent with the effects of Sarin gas, he said. At least 74 people died in the alleged chemical attack, according to a document detailing the victims’ names, released by the Idlib Health Directorate.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4392138/Is-proof-Assad-DID-launch-chemical-weapon-attacks.html
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
http://www.businessinsider.com/syria-air-base-sharyat-continue-us-strike-2017-4
Nepaisant to, kad Sirijos atsikratymas cheminiais ginklais buvo patvirtintas Rusijos ir JAV valdžios pareigūnų, įtarimas, kad Sirija dalį šios ginkluotės pasilaikė jau iškilo dar 2014 metais ir sustiprėjo 2016 metais, kai cheminių ginklo draudimo inspektoriai aptiko pasikartojančius 4 cheminio ginkl rūšių buvimo ženklus:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-08-24/weapons-inspectors-find-evidence-syria-retains-chemical-program
“We highly suspect, and in fact, there’s no credible alternative to a Syrian regime air attack as the source of the chemicals that killed so many Syrian civilians,” the official said.
“There’s no credible opposition capability with nerve agents,” they added. “ISIS has experimented with mustard agents, blister agents, not nerve agents. But this is well beyond the technical capability of the opposition.”
The officials said they “suspect” the Syrian regime had help — pointing the finger at the Russians, who they say share the base with the Syrians and “obviously” would have known every flight operation that comes out of the airfield.
http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/country-files/syria/events/article/chemical-attack-in-syria-national-evaluation-presented-by-jean-marc-ayrault
This document is based on declassified intelligence from France’s own sources.
On 4 April 2017, air strikes against civilians in the city of Khan Sheikhoun killed more than  80 people.  According  to  our  experts,  the  symptoms  observed  immediately  afterwards (pupil  contraction,  suffocation,  bluing  of  lips,  white  foam  on  faces,  convulsions),  the  high number of deaths, and the fact that certain responders and medical staff suffered secondary contamination are consistent with the use of a highly lethal neurotoxic agent. This has now been confirmed scientifically.
1.–Technical analysis of the chemical attack on 4 April
a)  France  has deployed  the  required resourcesto  obtain  its  own  samples  from  the alleged sarin attack on 4 April 2017 in Idlib Governorate.
b) The   analyses   carried   out   by   French   experts   on   the   environmental   samples collected  at  one of  the  impact  points  of  the  chemical  attack  at  Khan  Sheikhoun  on 4 April 2017  reveal  the  presence  of  sarin,  of  a  specific  secondary  product  (diisopropyl methylphosphonate –DIMP)  formed  during  synthesis  of  sarin  from  isopropanol  and  DF (methylphosphonyl  difluoride),  and  hexamine.  Analysis  of  biomedical  samples  also  shows that  a  victim  of the  Khan  Sheikhoun  attack,  a  sample  of  whose blood  was  taken  in  Syria on the very day of the attack, was exposed to sarin.
France  therefore  independently  and  categorically  confirms  that  sarin  was  used  on 4 April.  The  United  States,  the  United  Kingdom,  Turkey  and  the  Director-General  of  the OPCW have also established that sarin was employed on the basis of analysis of biomedical samples.
c)  According  to  the  intelligence obtained  by  the  French  services,  the  process  of synthesizing  sarin,  developed  by  the  Scientific  Studies  and  Research  Centre  (SSRC)  and employed by the Syrian armed forces and security services, involves the use of hexamine as a stabilizer. DIMP is also known as a by-product generated by this process.
d)  This  intelligence  on  the  process  used  by  the  regime,  which  is  a  sign  of  its responsibility  in  the  attack  on  4 April,  is  based  notably  on  the  analysis  of  the  content  of  an unexploded grenade which was used with certainty by the Syrian regime during the Saraqib attack  on  29 April 2013.  That  mid-afternoon,  a  helicopter  arriving  from  the  north-east  flew over  the  city  of  Saraqib  at  high  altitude.  Three  unidentified  objects,  emitting  white  smoke, were  dropped  on  neighbourhoods  to  the  west  of  the  city,  on  a  north-south  trajectory.
Pasak ataskaitos, mesti tris baltus dūmus skleidžiančius objektus galėjo tik Sirijos valdžia:
According  to  France,  only  the  Syrian  armed  forces  had  helicopters  and  could  therefore  be responsible for dropping these three objects.
2.–Militarily analysis of the tactical situation around 4April 2017
a)  The  4 April  attack  came  after  the  Syrian  armed  forces  and  security  services  and their  supporters  launched  a  counter-offensive  in  the  sector  of  Hama,  responding  to  the progress of armed groups and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in the north of Hama since 22 March. On  23March,  Syrian  elite  forces,  the  Qawat  Al-Nimr,  along  with  Hezbollah  and  the Iranian  Quds  Force,  were  redeployed  to  the  area.  Syrian  and  Russian  air support has  also been  focused  on  this  sector.  On  2 April,  the  Syrian  armed  forces  and  security  services and their  supporters pushed back  the  front  line,  although Damascus  failed to  fully  win  back  the territory  captured  by  the  armed  groups  in  March.  Since  then,  the  regime  has  largely regained territory in  the  Hama  sector  and  continues  to  pressure  the  opposition:  further conventional bombing has been observed in the Hama region.
b)  The  French  services  are  aware  in  particular  of  a  SukhoiSu-22 bomber which  took off from the Shayrat Airbase on the morning of 4 April and launched up to six strikes around Khan Sheikhoun.
c) As regards the general organization of the command chain, the French intelligence services assess that  only  Bashar  al-Assad  and  a  few  of  the  most  influential  members  of  his inner circle are authorized to give the order to use chemical weapons.
3.–Analysis of the presence of armed groups in Hama and of their capabilities
a)  While  it  has  been  confirmed  that  mustard  gas  attacks  have  been  carried  out  by Daeshin Syria since 2015, France assesses that the theory of an attack by the armed groups using a neurotoxic agent on 4 April is not credible. France has no information confirming the possession of sarin by these groups.
1.Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) was born from the merger of several radical factions with the  Al-Qaeda  movement  JabhatFatah  al-Sham  after  the  fall  of  Aleppo.  Pragmatic coordination between HTS and other armed groups present in the Hama sector was observed  in  late  March.  To  the  knowledge  of  the  French  services,  none  of  these groups has the capability to employ a neurotoxic agent, or the air capacities required.
2.The theory of an attack perpetrated by Daesh is not plausible either, as Daesh is not present  in  the  sector  of  Hama.  Moreover,  the  French  intelligence  services  have  not observed that Daesh has sarin or air capacities.
b)  Neither  do  the  French  services assess that  the  theory  of  a  staged  attack  or manipulation  by  the  opposition  is  credible,  particularly  because  of  the  massive  influx  in  a very  limited  time  towards  hospitals  in  Syria  and  Turkey,  and  the  simultaneous, massive uploading of videos showing symptoms of the use of neurotoxic agents.
https://www.bellingcat.com/news/mena/2017/04/27/revisiting-syrias-2013-sarin-attack-saraqeb-idlib/
A helicopter was spotted high above the town, with three objects dropped from the helicopter as it travelled across the town.  The objects left a smoke trail as they fell through the sky.
The smell at the scene of the attack is described to the BBC as being very strong:
“It was a horrible, suffocating smell. You couldn’t breathe at all. Your body would become really tired.”
In this video it’s stated “These are smelly, and a lot of them were used.”.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/06/the-dead-were-wherever-you-looked-inside-syrian-town-after-chemical-attack
Witnesses said the air raids began shortly after 6.30am on Tuesday, with four bombings around the town. Initially they thought it was just another airstrike, until the first responders who arrived at the scene began falling to the ground.
Khutainy said: “They told us ‘HQ, we are losing control’. We had no idea what they were trying to say. Then they said, ‘come save us, we can no longer walk’. So the second and third teams went with just face masks. We could smell it from 500 metres away.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/06/world/middleeast/sarin-nerve-agent.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=0
https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2013/05/what-does-sarin-do-to-people/275577/
Within seconds of exposure to sarin gas (or liquid, which evaporates easily), we start to notice the immediate effects of acetylcholine buildup. First, our smooth muscles and secretions go crazy. The nerves to those areas keep firing, keep telling them to go. The nose runs, the eyes cry, the mouth drools and vomits, and bowels and bladder evacuate themselves. It is not a dignified state.
If the exposure was not enough to kill them, though, the person should recover pretty quickly and completely. It is not the sort of agent that leaves people blind and infertile and glowing green. The U.S. military also has a lotion that can be applied immediately after exposure, Reactive Skin Decontamination Lotion, to good effect, among other antidotes. Most people exposed to sarin do not die. A large exposure is not a death sentence.
Zarino dujos yra neurotoksinas, kuris patekęs į nervų sistemą suskaido nervus stimuliuojančius neurotransmiterius. Zarinas neleidžia nervų sistemai deaktyvuoti nervų, todėl nervinė sistema veikia visų pajėgumu visose srityse. Žmogus nevalingai verkia, vemia, tuštinasi, jį ištinka traukuliai, o mirtis ištinka per 1-10 minučių. Maža zarino dozė nepalieka jokių šalutinių efektų, o didelė dozė žmogų nužudo.

Unemori Architects creates "earthquake-proof" community centre in Fukushima
Architecture studio Unemori Architects has built the Sukagawa Community Center in Fukushima as part of the wider rejuvenation of the city after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake.
Created in collaboration with Ishimoto Architectural & Engineering Firm, the community centre was designed to be a space that demonstrates the revitalisation of the city.
"It was important to us to give courage to the disaster-stricken city by showing that the residents of the city have a place here at Sukagawa Community Center to stay, work, learn and meet," Unemori Architects founder Hiroyuki Unemori told Dezeen.
"Our goal was to create a building that would fit seamlessly into the city."
Top: steel panels wrap around the exterior of the building. Above: the building is comprised of a series of stacked floors plates. Photography is by Kai Nakamura
The five-storey Sukagawa Community Center houses libraries, a museum, a lecture hall, childcare centres and cafes.
It was created as a "public forum" and also has a number of spaces for socialising and studying. Interior and exterior terraces surround the building, which has a total floor area of 13,700 square metres.
The lobby of the building is located beneath a series of voids and layered floors. Photography is by Kai Nakamura
The community centre was built to help revitalise the city, which was badly hit by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake, which was the country's most powerful recorder earthquake and destroyed major parts of eastern Japan.
It was designed to be earthquake-proof and will be used for disaster relief activities in the event of future earthquakes.
"This building will be a temporary evacuation facility for the city, and it is not only earthquake-proof, but in the event of a disaster, you can immediately go to the outdoor terrace and evacuate from there via outdoor stairs to the ground," said Unemori.
A ramp leads visitors around the building
The exterior of the building takes shape as a collection of stacked floor slabs that are layered and staggered to form a series of canopies and terraces connected by staircases.
Across the exterior, steel sheets wrap around the layered slabs and extend through to the interior, connecting and unifying the spaces.
The interior of The Sukagawa Community Center was designed to be calming. Photography is by Kai Nakamura
Inside, an open floor plan characterises the space and is framed by its steel wrapped floor slabs that appear as if floating within the interior.
The ground floor was built on a sloping level that raises 2.5 metres and includes a waiting area, cafe and events space, all of which are connected to the outdoors.
Ramps and sloped walkways, which were designed to mimic walking around the city, connect and link the floors to lead visitors around the building.
The library has a warm look
On the first floor, a children's library with a cheerful orange carpet sits within a double-height space.
Light wood furnishings were used throughout the room, forming bookcases, work stations and display cabinetry and adding warmth to the stark interior material palette.
"We have chosen simple materials that create a calm background for the people who visit here," said Unemori.
"We used natural wood for the furniture, which is pleasant to the touch."
The interior of the megastructure floor plate is viewable from across the building. Photography is by Kai Nakamura
A large playground with an undulating floor and climbing nets are contained within the corner of the building.
An outdoor playground located on the terrace is connected to the indoor playspace and employs a similar design, with undulating volumes raising from the floor.
Terraces and private workspaces line the edge of the library. Photography is by Kai Nakamura
The building's lower floors are suspended from a two-floor steel megastructure that stretches across the third and fourth floors.
Designed as part of the building's earthquake resilience, this structure means that columns are reduced on the lower floors and the community centre is protected from possible ground movement.
The megastructure is wrapped in a steel mesh with some sections exposed so visitors can view the steelwork from within the building.
A large indoor play area was built within the building
Air conditioning systems, smoke exhaust routes and layers of sound-absorbing material were placed within the floorplate to protect the building and provide a comfortable environment within the library above.
"If you are going to build a building in Japan now, all buildings are required to be earthquake resistant," explained Unemori. "The earthquake resistance and structural planning are important factors when thinking about architecture."
"It is a well-ventilated building, which is important right now in the Covid-19 pandemic," explained Unemori. "The windows on all the terraces can be easily opened and due to the empty space in the middle of the building it is well ventilated as a whole."
The play space extends out onto one of the many terraces. Photography is by Kai Nakamura
Recently, Unemori Architects created a small corrugated steel house on a 26-square metre plot in Tokyo.
Elsewhere in Fukushima, architecture studio ADX created a sculptural soil mound within a home using excavated soil from its building site.

(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim. (In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful) 3533b.   Lo! We are to deliver thee and thy household, (all) save thy wife, who is of those who stay behind.34.  Lo! We are about to bring down upon the folk of this township a fury from the sky because they are evil-livers.35.  And verily of that We have left a clear Sign for people who have sense.33b.  ‘Innaa  munajjuuka  wa  ‘ahlaka  ‘illamra-‘ataka  kaanat  minal-gaabiriin.34.  ‘Innaa  munziluuna  ‘alaaa  ‘ahli  haazihil-qaryati  Rijzam-minas-samaaa-‘i  bimaa  kaanuu  yafsuquun.35.  Wa  laqat-tarakNaa  minhaaa  ‘Aayatam-bayyinatal-liqaw-miny-ya’-qiluun.CommentaryThe Angels (peace be upon them) said: we shall protect you and your family, except your wife; who will remain here behind along with the dwellers of the township. Then we will bring down on the people of this city punishment from the sky because they have become such defiantly disobedient that they have been involved in sodomy openly. They do not hesitate in committing unnatural offence. This thought has gone entirely out from their mind that there is a Law of Conduct for the mankind in the world and they should abide by that Law for their betterment. If they break it then there is no good for them. We are going to torment the wicked people of this township severely because bad presage of their immodesty and evil works has overcast completely upon them. Now surely they will be ruined. Therefore, the Angels (peace be upon them) instructed to Lot (peace be upon him): Leave this township along with your family during the night; before dawning. None of you should turn and look behind. Your wife will remain behind along with the dwellers of the township and she will also be killed along with them.So they went out of the township during the night. Wrath of Allaah Almighty encircled them in the morning and that part of the land was swamped. It is commanded: We have left such Sign of that township which can be seen clearly, so that those take warning from it that the people disobedient to Allaah Almighty used to live here, who were destroyed due to punishment of disobedience. We should escape from evil deeds.Transliterated Holy Qur’aan in Roman Script & Translated from Arabic to English by Marmaduke Pickthall, Published by Paak Company, 17-Urdu Bazaar, Lahore, Lesson collected from Dars e Qur’aan published By Idara IslaahwaTableegh, Lahore (translated Urdu to English by Muhammad Sharif).https://muhammadsharif120.wordpress.com/2020/01/19/the-defiantly-disobedient-people/

The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka (大阪市立東洋陶磁美術館) is a Japanese art museum and regarded as one of the best ceramic-collections in the world. This museum collects, studies, conserves, exhibits and interprets East Asian ceramics, which mainly came from ancient China and Korea. The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, was founded in November 1982, commemorating the donation of the world-renowned “Ataka Collection by the twenty-one companies of the Sumitomo Group. In addition to the Collection which comprises nearly one thousand pieces of Chinese and Korean ceramics, the Museum accepted generous donations including the Korean ceramics of the Rhee Byung-Chang Collection, works by Hamada Shoji, Persian ceramics and Chinese snuff bottles. The Museum also acquired several Japanese ceramics. Among the whole museum collection, two works are registered as National Treasures and thirteen works are Important Cultural Properties of Japan. In terms of both quality and quantity, our collection of oriental ceramics ranks as one of the finest in the world.

In the galleries, we systematically display approximately four hundred notable pieces of Chinese, Korea and Japanese ceramics. In addition to the permanent exhibition, we organize special exhibitions covering specialist themes that are informative for further academic research and also enhance art appreciation.
The galleries are equipped with various useful devices including the natural-light-drawn display room, displaying platform with a turntable and shock-absorbent platforms.
Our Museum, located in the peaceful vicinity of Nakanoshima park in the heart of metropolitan Osaka, aims to be a new type of urban museum making the best use of our rich collection and latest displaying equipments to ensure visitors an enjoyable museum experience in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
