I’m curious about your OCs Deca, Flyboy, Hornet, Cobra and Jinks.

How did they get their names?

Deca - CT-2468 -- ARC Trooper Captain in Coruscant Guard, under Commander Thorn; promoted to the rank of Commander just before Thorn is sent to Scipio (19 BBY) and takes his place when Thorn is killed.

His is pretty self-explanatory, as it is based off his CT number- CT-2468. The next number in the sequence is 10, in addition to the middle two and last two numbers of his number also adding up to 10. Since he didn't want to use the name "Ten", he went with the decimal prefix for it instead.

Before I get into my pilot Clones, I just want to say my inspiration for most of them came from Top Gun. My brother and I were huge fans of the movie growing up and I just couldn't help myself at the thought of Fox being stressed over his hotshot Clone Pilots getting the job done in the most unprofessional ways possible.

Flyboy - CT-2362 -- Squadron Commander of Redtail Squadron, of the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet

He was the biggest loud-mouthed show-off of his wingmen at the academy, so he earned his name pretty quickly and couldn't ever shake it.

Hornet - CT-5757 -- Squadron Commander of Redtail Squadron, of the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet

It took Hornet a little longer to earn his nickname, but it came up pretty naturally one day when he woke up in a mood and ran through battle sims like someone had 'kicked the Hornet's nest'.

Cobra - CT-3894 -- Squadron Commander of Redtail Squadron, of the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet

Cobra was given his name due to his ruthless and unyielding nature, for his tendency to only strike with the intent to kill.

Jinks - CT-5739 -- Squadron Commander of Redtail Squadron, of the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet

Short for "Hijinks", because he was always getting into trouble he shouldn't.

Anakin didn’t care about Clone lives?

(Related to this post by padawanlost. I’m putting it separately because the best points were already made in that thread and I’m just compiling things here and I’m shy.)

A while ago I read some people’s analysis on how Anakin (and Ahsoka and Obi-Wan too, apparently) did not care about clone lives based on The Clone Wars series.

Okay, fine, people can have opinions. Let’s look at the details.

They accuse that Anakin:

risked clone lives during Malevolence run just to hog all glory.

risked clone lives just to get R2 back. (okay this one got me)

(with Ahsoka) threw Rex off the wall in Second Geonosis.

(with Obi-Wan) did not save that one clone who lost his grip and fell from the cliff in Citadel arc.

did not check if Echo was really dead or show any sad emotions for it.

(with Obi-Wan) never gives dead clones their due while taking time for an impromptu funeral for Jedi Master Piel in Citadel arc. (because clearly they are the only ones with that problem)

did not do for Fives in Order 66 arc as much as he did for Ahsoka.

All right, fine. I could refute at least half of the above list, but that might get subjective real fast.

Still, probably don’t forget the times Anakin:

wanted to help Rex in Teth battle on the risk of failing the mission.

staged a rescue mission after being told not to in Malevolence arc because “lives are at stake.”

helped a weakened Wolffe (I think that was Wolffe?) get out of the broken pod (and get the med droid to tend to them)

changed courses in Malevolence run when someone gave a better option.

from the same episode, “I also can't take the lives I lost lightly.”

got himself blown up after getting everyone (including clones who are not under his command) to safety in Jedi Crash.

charged ahead solo to take out the defoliator on his own despite above injuries.

tells Rex to stand down and not risk unnecessary conflict with the Talz in Tresspass.

paused mid battle to save Denal from falling to his death. (and then letting him down gently while running after Ahsoka)

was visibly relieved to see Red Eye (apparently) okay in Voyage of Temptation.

yelled “Get behind me!” when facing spider assassin droids because he’s better equipped than the clones to handle them.

immediately went to help Rex and Cody from above mentioned spider droids.

(with Ahsoka) is shown trying to help injured clones after a bomb unexpectedly blew up nearby on Zygerria arc.

on multiple occasions is shown to be the last one boarding the evacuating gunship.

showed visible sadness when Commander Ponds was executed by Boba’s gang.

gets comatose Tup out of the Separatist clutches in Order 66 arc.

The Bad Batch arc is about him getting Echo back.

Bonus from the movie: Anakin wanted to help the clone pilots during the battle over Coruscant in RotS, even though the mission is to rescue the Chancellor.

So I don’t know, the evidence *clearly* stacks against him. /sarcasm

And sure Jedi such as Mace Windu and Yoda *clearly* cared more than our main trio because of That One Time Yoda gave clones pep talk and That One Time Mace helped his men during his limelight episode. /double sarcasm

TCW isn’t entirely consistent with their characterizations, especially if it involves Rule of Funny or Rule of Cool. (Geonosis one is definitely a case of Rule of Funny in my opinion) In fact, all visual media does that now and then. Still, there is an overall trend on how clones are treated by Jedi.

For the record, I do not think Mace and Yoda ever intentionally ‘not care’ or abuse clones. I do not believe any Jedi (aside from those like Krell) would do that. But the problem is that we see more (arguably) conflicting evidence for Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and not for Mace and Yoda, because we see Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan more. There isn’t enough *statistical power* to make a good comparison between two groups.

Also for those who accuse of Ahsoka not hesitating to kill clones who were brainwashed by Geonosis bug to kill her and Barriss... Yoda didn’t bat an eye before beheading clones that crept up to him during Order 66 either but no one talks about that for some reason.

Lydia and Cullen both like pastries but what is your HC for them attempting to bake or cook together? I don't remember if this was covered in the fic cause I am not done rereading yet haha (sorry about your night let's talk domestic HC about your babs

So their love and penchant for sweet things is mentioned in passing in IWD, but in my headcannon, the cook Emmaline basically treats them like her surrogate grandchildren and bakes them all the things so they don’t have to. She’ll even make more for them, telling both Cullen and Lydia if they’ve been under eating that she can “snap them in half like a chicken” and proceed to throw more bread at them. But I do headcanon Lydia, sometime after Inquisition but before Tresspasser, tries her hand at baking Cullen’s favorite cinnamon rolls. And like the stubborn goat she is, she thinks “well, if you can read, you can cook!” and doesn’t ask for any help.

 it’s a disaster. She gets flour everywhere, can’t properly knead dough like Emmaline, and doesn’t know low long to bake them. Finally they’re done, but when she gives them to Cullen, he gags, and she realizes she accidentally used salt instead of sugar. She almost cries, but Cullen tells her it’s the thought that counts, and he’s thrilled she would even try it out. The next batch, she learns from her mistakes, and they are far more successful.

After Tresspasser, Cullen finds out he’s not bad at cooking, (he figures it’s because he used to watch his ma in the kitchen a lot as a boy.) and after a little practice, he and Lydia cook together. In fact, their (spoiler alert, I guess, but oh whale I had to fulfill my Dad!Cullen dreams with Cullydia!) some of their children’s earliest memories are waking up in the morning and seeing ma and da in the kitchen, cooking, talking, and laughing.

I have so many Varric X Hawke Fic Ideas

So imma post em here so I freaking get them done and/or see the interest:

- The Open Road (Modern AU): Marian Hawke, ten years after leaving Fereldan and the only real home she had before Kirkwall, hears on the news that a monument is being built to honor those lost to The Blight, where Loathering once stood. With encouragement from Varric and a promise to navigate them to the best tourist traps on the way, Hawke loads up a rickity rust bucket of an RV with her friends, sister, and all their emotional and physical baggage for a cross country road trip down the coast.

-O Brother Where art Thou: "Varric..." She says in a hoarse and croaking voice, too drunk to care that she was crying. "I miss my brother... I miss Carver..." Varric and Hawke talk about brothers both older and younger and loved and hated. (DA2)

-Smoke: Smoke is always, whether they be flames of lost loves or torches held for loved one can't have, or even the embers of a sparking love yet to be, there's always smoke. A look at the flames of love in the Life of Varric Tethras, and the fire that eventually consumed his heart. (Pre DA2 through Post Tresspasser)

- Unluckily Lucky: The chances of a dwarven man and a human woman producing a baby together was near impossible. The chance of Hawke getting a bad batch of contraceptive potions was next to nothing. But Varric swore they were the only couple on all of Thedas that beat impossible odds and it seemed like they were in for one hell of a ride... Hawke and Varric prepare for a baby. (DAI, w/ side pairing of F!Lavellan/Iron Bull)

-Unholy Matrimony: "Marian Rowena "Waffles" Hawke, will you do me the honor marrying me so that I can keep running this makerforsaken city so long as we both shall put up with it?" In which to continue being Viscount Varric discovers that he has to find a bride and wed before the end of the year. (Post Tresspasser w/side pairs of/ F!Lavellan/Iron Bull, F!Cousland/Alistar Therin, F!Surana/Zeveran Arianai and M!Lavellan/Dorian Pavus, it's a big event gotta invite all the big players!)

I've got a couple more floating around in the brain like a Modern Heist AU fic with a Technomaner! Hawke x Varric I'm always willing to talk about my fic ideas (Especially the RoadTrip one lol) so feel free to reblog with questions and likes~

hi! 💐 for Trinn?

Does your OC like flowers? What are their favourites? Do they keep a garden of some sort? What flowers would they use in a flower crown? (and if you like, research the meanings behind those flowers!)

Trinn may be cute as a button, but she’s about as far away from a girly girl as is humanly possible, so flowers are definitely not her thing, and gardening is too calm a hobby.

For her flower crown (if I could draw her in one), I’d choose: Chrysanthemum, Larkspur, Alyssum, and Forget-me-nots.
