A PENNY?!?! Sam literally how?! AND FOR JEANS?! but you know what I would try to achieve that high again too lol But yay for shopping! Hope you got some lovely stuff bestie!
Dealing with teens all day for the entire work week is CRAZY so I dont blame you for having constant headaches lol oddly enough my brother is the one that suffers from headaches lol Oh hormones for sure cause the stomach to be wack which is so unfair! this period will NOT affect you on your break!! A period is never fun but hope youre taking care of yourself!
ME TOO!!! I do not fit in those flared/bell bottom jeans thats trendy now which is tragic solely because that's all i ever see in stores!?! Im also not even close to being considered tall or petite and those just make me look so off too bahah So skinny jeans for me have always been the option where although not the best option, they are the lesser evil of jeans lol
AWW that's so cute! Little Sam was such an icon for that!(you still are obvi) You should for sure should revisit the marry janes for the fall!!! I am waiting for that day too! Sam I don't think you know how much of a HATER i am of electric scooters, i am fighting a battle everyday trying not to get killed by them on campus 😭 But I love that coleege was walkable for you! It must have been nice getting to know the area well!
I had a feeling you played softball at least! Idk if my mind was just projecting the Made to be Universe/storyline but softball seemed like something you would have done/enjoyed! But omg you were like a full on athlete?! That's so cool! Not the injuries of course but the rest is!
I tense up so quickly because im very awkward about my feelings😭SAM THERE HAD TO BE MANY THAT FOUND YOU HOT! i kid you not being smart is SO attractive! Plus a cute girly who is GOOD at math in a typically guy dominated field!? The puns seem like a very you thing and i love that honestly! I think its so cute when people do that!
ALSO THAT POLL😭 bestie I cant choose😭I need them ALL! I spent a good minute thinking about my vote lol very excited though!
Have such a lovely start to your break Sam! love you!-💜
If there is a coupon I will find it lol. I can't tell you how many times I've signed up for American Eagle text messages and then unsubscribed just to get 15% off every time. I think I had a crazy reward and then the jeans were already on sale. I'm pretty sure they have to charge you something in order for the sale to go through so I think they HAD to charge me something.
I'm already enjoying my break actually despite my period. Thank God for Midol tbh I think I would die without it. My body is very clockwork so after cramps for a FUN 24 hours it's usually much more manageable. I HAVE to take meds though even if I don't feel crampy right away. The second my body realizes I'm on my period it's like "TIME FOR CRAMPS" and again, if I don't take the meds right away I get behind the pain and I am FUCKED for the remainder of the 24 hours.
I am trying to relax as much as possible because May and June are going to be crazy with senior prom/graduation and stuff. Plus I've outsourced myself as well for lots of other projects 🙃 I really need to learn to say no (time to reread Dolcezza) But I plan on finishing this book I'm reading (I haven't done very well reading lately, but I'm telling myself it's okay because it's not a race and I read a lot early on.) I do have to do some lesson planning but I actually enjoy that because I find math soothing like a psychopath hahahahaha
That's amazing you like skinny jeans. I feel so ostracized sometimes when it comes to my jeans choices. All my friends and coworkers have moved on with the trends and I'm still in 2013/2014/2015/2016 hahaha. VERY controversial: I actually really like jeans. I always by jegging jeans so they're super stretchy and comfy. Obviously if I can wear leggings I will hahahaha.
I'm crying about the electric scooter. You must be on a sizable campus to have electric scooters that's so funny. People drove their bikes/skateboards around campus a lot but no scooters. I loved the area my college was in (I actually live down the street from it in an apartment now because I love this area so much) it's very much the setting behind My Friend's Toyota hahaha
LOOK AT YOU MISS DETECTIVE HAHAHAHAHA I didn't even realize that about Made to Be that's so funny and true. I tried a bit of everything tbh. I did swimming (mostly so I wouldn't die growing up on the beach) and tennis lessons which I wasn't good at either but I really enjoyed anyway. I suck at ice skating (do you know how often you use your ankles for pretty much every sport? 🙃) and idk what it is about basketball but I may as well just sit in the middle of the court it would be less harmful to those around me.
OH BESTIE SAME HERE ABOUT FEELINGS. Everyone around me told me my bf liked me before we started dating and I was like "No he doesn't he thinks I'm gross" ☠ if they found me hot and attractive I kinda wish they told me! 😭 it's selfish but it would have done a nice boost to my ego. I was never the 'looked' at friend if you will. I called myself The DUFF™ all throughout middle and high school I really did a number on my self-esteem 😭 I am probably a little toxic when it comes to being a STEM girly lol because I tried so hard in high school and college to prove I was just as smart as the boys (sometimes more actually 😉)
For the poll it's just about the order which I think is kind of fun! I hope other people are enjoying it--I find it really helpful! I thought I did a lot of my more "obscure" stories on the last round of voting so I thought it would be nice to bring back some of the more popular series. I almost threw Protection on there too but thought it was too much (and too mean to make that decision) hahahaha
💕💕

3/25/2020
Hey guys!
It’s your homegirl. Officially under State-wide Quarantine yay!!!
Anyway, I happened to grab some Hot cash when I grabbed Sora and Kairi hoodies so I had to make another lovely post lol.
The first item is this lovely blanket I have had my eye on since I left to see Frozen last December. I couldn't find it at all!!!
Decided finally to buy it online.
Tumblr media
Retail value is 24.90
Of course I also needed something to drag it over the 30 dollar mark,
So I got these slippers I also had my eye on.
I dont know if you guys can see buy the retail value for these but the retail value for these was 19.91.
Tumblr media
Which was a bit over my budget because i wanted it to be 30 dollars exactly. But they had a 30% off coupon that could be used with Hot cash.
So instead of paying 44.90 for both the blanket and the Slippers, I paid 20.32 that was a bit over budget but it was a discount of about 55% Which was totally awesome.
They did come on a wonderful day, my feet were killing me and the slippers were a godsend.
For my next Thing of Hot Cash, I went to the physical store because I wanted to grab the Riku hoodie. I mean come on! Sora and Kairi but no Riku? Man that would be messed up.
Anyway, So I called the store beforehand and they said they only had XXSM or XXXL. Which would have been totally lame as I am barley a medium in guy’s clothing?
Anyway, I got off of work and stopped at the store.
Tumblr media
I had combed through the entire clearance section but i couldn't find any other ones, Finally, I decided to put the XXS back because I knew I wouldn't be able to even zip it up.  THEN THERE WAS A MEDIUM! I swear by magic!!!!
Retail value was 59.90
Tumblr media
Now the online price was about 25ish dollars (I believe it’s gone down now so don't quote me on that.) Normally Hot topic allows you to price match to the website instore. I was kind of excited because I thought I might get the jacket for 12.50 because it did have a 50% off coupon on it. But I wasn't so lucky :(  The cashier didn't price override it because she said the website was having a sale. I asked if she could deduct the sale and price override it to the price it was before the sale but she said she couldn't and I said it was fine. I didn't want her to get in trouble.
But I still had the 50% off coupon. So it came out to 29.95
(Yankee doodle plays in the background)
I had to grab something to push the limit over 30. I thought It was a couple of dollars under because I had done the math wrong and thought it was 27 dollars. So I grabbed a blind bag keychain. I got super excited while feeling around and accidentally opened it! To reveal Kairi!
Tumblr media
My rule for those is that if I open them I buy them. I really hate it when people just open them and leave the ones they don't want. Anyway, her retail value was 6.90.
So my Total came out to 36.85 without tax. I handed her the hot cash which deducted 15 dollars So I ended up only paying 23.67 including tax. Which was still a savings of 35%.  Which was again a bit over budget. But I figured since I had just gotten paid I was going to be fine.
Finally, I got an email scratcher for 40% off and I decided Hey, I just got paid and I have some birthday money so let's go!
The first thing I grabbed was this Charm bracelet
Tumblr media
The retail value was 12.90
And three little charms all valued at 7.90
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, I used my 40% off Coupon game and ended up paying about 3.16 per charm. There was an Aladdin charm I really wanted but I decided to save it for later. The bracelet itself came out to 10.41 with taxes bringing the final order to a total of 21.94 including tax!!! So I saved 43%!!!

Blue Eyes| Daniel x Reader Chapter 15- BIRTHDAY Y/F/N Y/F/LN!
Tumblr media
A/N: Here's a note in advance. I have nothing against Christina or any of the other girls. I just didn't include them for the sake of the story. I will also not be including Lavender (obviously) because it's just too complicated. Also, my friends wdwlimelightimagine and acoolusernamethatidk have stories of their own. One of them is a Corbyn x Reader while the other one is a Zach x Reader. I would really appreciate it if you went and checked them out.
🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉
I woke up on my bed still fully dressed. My laptop was lying at the foot of the bed. I shifted into a more comfortable position as two arms tightened around my waist. I craned my neck to see who was behind me. At first, I could only see a mass of blonde hair. I turned to face them. Them being Daniel. I pressed my lips to the tip of his nose to give him a kiss. I was relieved that he didn't wake up. I turned back around to grab my phone on the nightstand.
I squinted at the screen as it glowed on my face. I lowered the intensity of the light and opened up the message I had gotten from Y//f/n.
F: Y/N, Y/N, Y/N! GUESS WHAT! I'M COMING TO LA!
I gasped so loudly, I was scared that I had woken my Giraffe up.
Y: Wait, WHAT?!?
F: YEAH! Remember our friend, Jennifer? Well she told me she would love it if I could come and live with her. She lives here in LA she works as an actress you know?
Y: OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! WHEN ARE YOU COMING?
F: I think next month
Y: YES! I'm gonna get to see you again!!
I closed the chat with Y/f/n and turned around to face Daniel. I placed my hand on his shoulder and shook it. With my other hand, I was holding his shirt in a fist. "Hey, Daniel," I whisper to the Giraffe. "Wake up." Daniel woke up with a jolt, kicking me in the shin. "OWW!"
"OH MY GOD," he said in a panic. I kept muttering 'Shit, shit, shit...' under my breath. "I'M SO SORRY! ARE YOU OKAY?!!" He placed both his hands on my cheeks. I let out a heavy breath, trying to ease down the pain. I bit the inside of my cheek.
"Somehow you manage to hurt more than a stubbed toe," I tell him. Then I remembered why I woke him up in the first place. I sat up on my bed and Daniel slowly sat up next to me. Looking at me curiously. I looked at him with wide eyes and a smile making its way onto my face. "Y/f/n is coming to LA." I stood up on the bed excitement rushing through my veins. "SHE'S COMING TO LA! OMG!" Daniel got off my bed and watched me jump up and down admiringly.
I jumped off the bed and grabbed Daniel's arms. "I'm going to see Y/f/n again!" I looked away from him and placed the palms of my hands on my temples. "Oh my god. I need to get her a present." I turned back to face him again. "We should go buy her a present!" Daniel placed his hands on my shoulders to calm me down.
"It's 4 a.m," he tried to explain, but I just stared at him with a blank face. "Wouldn't it be best if we went to get her a present tomorrow?"
"Nope," I said already walking out the door. "Better find something before someone else does."
[Time skip 1 month]
I was waiting for Y/f/n to arrive anxiously. I was waiting for her with the boys. I had told them all that she was coming and they had taken it into their time to buy her something. I know I felt nervous, but Corbyn was so visibly nervous, the way he was acting was making me cringe. I was pulled out of my thoughts as a familiar voice called my name.
"Y/N!" I looked at Y/f/n as she charged towards me, her arms wide open. She gave me a bear hug and nearly knocked me off my feet. "OH MY GOD! I finally get to see you in the flesh!" She started hopping up and down in excitement. She noticed the boys standing behind me and waved at them. She then looked at me with a smirk. "You actually said yes to him. I honestly thought you were too scared. You two are way too cute for my own good."
I pouted at her. "The picture of you two at the beach is my favorite so far." Without another word, she went to hug the boys.
"Happy Birthday Y/n," said Zach. Did I forget to mention it was her birthday? Of course I did. I was too excited about seeing her. Me and the boys had something planned for her.
Corbyn POV
Y/f/n congratulated both Y/n and Daniel on their relationship. Then she hugged all of us. When her arms were wrapped around me I felt like I was going to throw up. But in a good way. No, that's not what I'm trying to say. I HAD BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH! That's the expression I was looking for! Jeez, Corbyn you just told all the readers you felt like throwing up when she hugged you. You're so stupid. Anyway, I felt butterflies in my stomach as Y/f/n hugged me. I hugged her back, most definitely blushing.
When she pulled away from me I smiled at her shyly. After a lot of 'Hello's and 'Welcomes', we finally decided to go home. Since there wasn't enough space for the seven of us in one car, we would split into two groups. Of four and three. We all agreed that me, Daniel and Y/n would go with Y/f/n in one car. We were currently walking towards Daniel's car. I was carrying one of Y/f/n bags for her. I opened the trunk and helped her lug her bags into the car before sitting in the backseat next to her.
Daniel started the car and Y/n was sitting in the passenger seat. The four of us engaged in friendly conversation and I totally wasn't trying to flirt with Y/f/n. It was a long ride and I was pretty sure I could see Y/n trying not to laugh in the rearview mirror. I glared at her and she shrugged. I could feel my heart pounding all the way home.
After what felt like forever, we finally arrived at our house. Was she going to like it? Why am i being so anxious? Was this how Daniel felt before the live of What I Am? Of course not. He was actually asking Y/n to be his girlfriend. So it was just going to get worse? Oh shit, I thought. I'm screwed.
We all walked into the house and into the living room. Zach, Jack, and Jonah had already arrived and were waiting on the sofa. We walked in to sit with them Y/n sat on Daniel's lap on one of the seats while Y/f/n was squashed between me and Zach. We all talked and shared inside jokes, teased each other and whatnot. Finally came the time for the surprise.
Y/f/n POV
Y/n, Daniel, Jonah, Jack, Zach all stood up and left the room, leaving me and Corbyn alone in the living room. It was quiet for a while until Corbyn spoke up, "Y/f/n, I've been meaning to tell you something."
All of a sudden, the lights went out and I couldn't see anything. An orange glow came from the kitchen and I saw Y/n coming towards me with a huge cake in her hands. All the boys were singing a beautiful version of Happy Birthday (lol I'm so cheesy). I hid my face in my hands, I hated being the center of attention like this. When they finished singing their beautiful song I blew out the candles and they all cheered. "YAY!" cheered Zach. "YOU JUST BECAME 19!"
"I'm pretty sure I became nineteen a few hours ago, but thank you Zach," I looked around at all of them. Y/n placed the cake on the coffe table, I'm surprised she hadn't dropped it yet. Y/n spoke up, "By the way, I hope you don't mind, but I invited Jennifer over."
"There's not aproblem with me," says Corbyn from next to me. As if on cue, the door rang.
"I'll get it," said Y/n.
When Y/n left the room, Corbyn took hold of my hand and whispered into my ear, "Happy Birthday Y/f/n." He left a  kiss on my cheek.
"Oh no," said Jack. "Another couple in denial." My cheeks heated up and I smacked Jack's arm. As if Y/n had heard my mental cry for help, she walked in with Jennifer trailing behind her. Her curly, brown hair was up in a ponytail and she was wearing a green tank top with denim shorts.
I jumped up from the couch to hug her. "Hello Y/f/n," she said. "I really hope I didn't miss too much of your birthday."
"Nah," I tell her. "We just got started. Oh by the way, these are Corbyn, Zach, Daniel, Jack and Jonah." I say as I gesture to each of the boys. After Jennifer and the guys got to meet each other Y/n grabbed our attention.
"Guys, guys, GUYS!" she said "calmly". "It's time for the presents. I'll go first although I don't know if you'll like it." She handed me a bag and inside I saw there were candles from Bath and Body Works along with a scented bracelet.
"OMG Y/n," I say as I put the bracelet on. "I love it."
"Ok, ok my turn," said Zach.
"You mean our turn," says Jonah. Zach nodded and rolled his eyes. Jack handed me a box. I shook it to get an idea of what was inside. I teared off the paper and opened the box to see a pair of purple sneakers.
"Oh my gosh," I look at the guys. "They're so purple! I love them!" I hugged them all and went to sit back down on the couch. The next present I got was from Jennifer. She said (and I quote), "I guess you could count being roomates as a present-" she hands me the keys to her apartment. "-but I thought that would be pretty rude of me so got you this." She handed me a box from Starbucks with a bottle inside and a coupon. I thanked her and we stayed there talking for a while.
Somehow Corbyn had gotten cake all over him (umm, Zach, Jack, I'm looking at you guys). He went to go clean himself up. After a while, it felt like he was taking too long to come back. So I went to investigate. I walked up the stairs to Corbyns room.  I knocked to give him a warning before entering. When I walked into his room I found myself facing a shirtless Corbyn. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry," I mutter as I turn to look away. I could feel my whole face burning up.
I heard Corbyn chuckle behind me and I hoped he had put on a shirt. "It's okay," he says and I slowly turn to face him again. His face was as red as a tomato but he still tried to play it cool. "Well, I kinda have a present of my own for you," he said as he showed me a little package he'd had lying on his desk. He handed it to me and I slowly began to open it. I inwardly gasped when I saw what it was. "I know it's kinda small-"
"Corbyn," I stop him from saying anything else. "It's beautiful." It was a golden necklace with a small Saturn hanging from it. Along with a star and the moon.
I hugged him and I noticed the faint smell of cake still on him. I took a deep breath to take it all in. He hugged me back and sadly we then broke the hug. I smiled up at him, "Could you help me put this on?" Corbyn nodded and helped me put the necklace on. "I think they'll be wondering what's taking us so long so..." I pointed at the door. "...we should go."
"Oh," he said. "Yeah, we should go." We both headed downstairs and somewhere along the way I gathered the courage to hold his hand. Where I found that courage, I have no idea.
[Time skip to after the B-day party]
Y/n POV
Me, Jennifer and Y/f/n went outside after saying goodbye to the boys. Jennifer was going to leave me off at my aunt's house and then going with Y/f/n to their shared apartment. I pulled Y/f/n away for a second and pointed at her *new* necklace. "Did Corbyn give you that?" I asked. She nodded with a red face. "Oh my god," I squealed. "I ship it so hard. You two are so cute."
"Stop it," she said and slapped my arm. "You're so stupid." I knew she didn't mean it but I pretended to be hurt.
"Ouch," I say. "Why you so mean?!?!"
Y/f/n rolled her eyes and we got into the car with Jennifer. We made small talk with each other as she drove us to where I was staying. "I really liked Zach. He seemed nice," I think I heard Jennifer say. Honestly, I didn't know what was real anymore. I was too tired to even care. I mean, Y/f/n had just gotten off a plane and she was more energetic than me right now.
Jennifer parked in front of my aunt's house and I got out of the car. "Bye guys," I wave goodbye to them. "AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/F/N!" They drove off and I walked to the front door and unlocked it. I went straight up to my room and changed into my pajamas. I put my phone to charge and got under the covers. I opened up a chat on my phone and typed;
Y: Goodnight Apple
I waited a moment for the reply. And surely enough. It came.
D: Goodnight Watermelon
🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉🍎🍉
A/N: So. Y/f/n's back. And if your friend is not in Corbyns lane then I'm sorry. I also added a new character, Jennifer. I wonder what she'll be like...

OCTOBER FINANCIAL CLEANSE
Why, hello love -
For this refreshing season with it’s crisp breeze has me thinking about the holidays and how fast they are approaching! Honestly, I couldn’t think of a better time to do a month long financial cleanse,  to better my spending habits and fatten my savings. With my wedding looming closer and closer and a constant string of celebrations coming up - this cleanse is much needed. Also, personally I want to work on my self-discipline (which I have been lacking as of lately) and doing less impulsive buying on my most-loved website (cough, cough Amazon - haaha). So, if you sound like me or just want to see how I’m doing with my journey - follow along! I’ll be updating this blog post daily with updates on my spending and overall experience.
My Rules :
1. No materialistic items 2. No take out / dining out 3. Only necessities (groceries, gas, etc.) 4. Each pay-week withdraw $100, used only for work / necessities  5. My savings goal - $700 6. Build on better money habits
Let the cleanse begin, namaste.
-
Oct. 1
The first day of my cleanse! Yay! I’m feeling good, I haven’t dined out today. Today I went over to a local park for a Vegan Potluck hosted by my dear friend KB, Holistic Vegan Life. We all bought a home cooked dish and had some fun in the sun with good company! Amazing time. My friend and I did take an Uber to the park. However, we did walk back to my house for a glass of wine and a hot toddy.
Oct. 1 Expenses :
Uber (ride + tip) : $13
Drinks at home : $0
Tip #1 : Create your own Girls Night In, skip the club or bar. Put on a heaping dose of trap music and become your own bartender! Your pockets with thank you later x
Total : $13
October, is off to a good start!
-
Oct. 2
Today I set-up a hair appointment to have my hair braided.
1. I had the same style for far too long
2. I  wanted to deep condition my hair
3. I need to have a more flexible hairstyle for gym
The woman I go to is awesome, my braids always look great and last for about a month with proper care. She is so affordable and professional, I’m always going back!
Oct. 2 Expenses :
Braids : $70
Braiding Hair : $13
Birthday Donuts : $7
Tip #2 : It’s ok to pamper yourself once in a while - get your split ends clipped or change up your hair color. As long as you are doing it in moderation and not over doing it. So, TREAT YO’ SELF but stick your budget! I did!
Total : $90
Happy Monday!
-
Oct. 3
Back to work today! Yay … hahaa! So, one thing about me is I bring my own coffee, lunch and snacks to work. So, during the week I don’t spend much unless a emergency comes about - which happened today. A family member needed some help with repairing their brakes and being the person I am I couldn’t say no. I would hope someone would lend me a helping hand when I need a little help. “We all need somebody to lean on. .” Come guys join on in, lol!
Oct. 3 Expenses :
Brake Repair: $100
Gas - $24
Tip #3 : Lending a help hand to others is always nice however, never over extend yourself. You want to make sure you are comfortable with your pockets before filling someone else’s. Be honest with yourself and others.
Total : $124
Night, chat with you guys tomorrow!
-
 Oct. 4
Hump day – Yassss! Today was an average work day when it comes to spending – I didn’t spend any money - I bought my own coffee / lunch / snacks. Bringing your own food and drinks to work or when you are out and about, is a smart move. Not only are you saving money – you often will pack a healthier option. You aren’t in rush, picking up sugary coffee drink on your way in or a fast food meal for lunch. When all is said and done your pockets and body will thank you!
Tip #4 : Today I received a text message from my sister about a credit card offer she received. It was a secured credit card offer, meaning she would have to put an initial deposit on the card as collateral. Also, that initial deposit would be your credit limit. Honestly, after doing a bit of research, a secured credit card works in the benefit of the banking institution rather than the customer, to me it appears to be a pre-paid credit card. Isn’t that what a bank account is for? On the other hand unsecured credits cards are the ‘typical’ credit card that most of us have with no initial deposit / collateral which my sister decided to go with. Although, I do understand building your credit with credit, it just didn’t make sense? Give you my money so I can just turn around and use it. . Hmmm – we’ll pass! LOL! My advice regarding credit cards - they are nice to have but, be smart when racking up those charges! Ideally you want to be able to pay off your credit card monthly rather than making the monthly minimum payments and carrying a balance. Although, sometimes smaller than your purchases – those interest fees / annual fees (only applies to certain credit cards) rack up and it takes longer for you to pay off that balance. Also, it shows on your credit report and can affect your credit score when you carry a balance or when you are using a certain percentage of the credit limit. Using over 30% of your credit limits is considered “bad” on your credit report. So, be cautious and careful! Credit Karma, is a great way to monitor your credit and see how your debt is affecting your over score.
With that said -
No expenses for Oct. 4
Total : $0
Feel Good Wednesday x
Oct. 5
With so much work on my desk and deadlines that need to be met - I honestly had not a moment to leave the office. With that said, I spent ZERO dollars! Go me, go me, go me! LOL
Tip #5 : Tomorrow is payday! Yay! Before paying any bills or buying a PSL, I must pay myself. An automatic deduction goes from my paycheck straight to my savings, where is stays and never sees the light of day. Investing in yourself is the smartest investment you’ll ever make and that could be in more ways than one. Love yourself / Pay yourself.
No expenses for Oct. 5
Happy Thursday - almost the weekend, ohh sweet weekend x
Oct. 6
1.   It’s Friday
2.   It’s Payday
3.   It’s a LONG weekend
I couldn’t be happier.  I love time to myself - to get my creative juices going and reset from the work week. Working on my aura / feeling good / eating for my well-being.
Since today is payday, I started by paying myself and bills. Then, I also put a deposit on the photo booth for our wedding. No unexpected cost - although, my other half was trying to get me to go to the mall to exchange a item and grab din-din. NOPE - dinner at home with wine and Def Comedy Jam. Perfect night with the perfect guy x
Tip #6 : DIY’s can go a long way when it comes to the budget of your wedding. Venue and vendor fees are already so overprices so where you can cut your costs make sure you do. Personally, with my wedding the DIY’s I have put together have saved me a ton. Websites like Pinterest / YouTube / Etsy - sparks so many ideas which lead to beautiful creations!
Oct. 6 Expenses :
Savings: $150
Citi Bank: $400
Wedding Photo Booth: $260
Total : $810
Cheers to the freakin’ weekend!
Oct. 7
Saturday, felt so good! Although, I did dip into my wedding fund to purchase so decor for our big day - Yes, I have money set aside for everything. I felt good about the purchase because, we using my BOA debit card I got 5% back on my purchase.
Tip #7 : Coupons, deals or special offers are all your friends! Haha. A tip I got from my dear friend was to always search the web for coupons before you click that buy now button. For example search “ASOS coupon” in google or go on the shop’s direct website, when at Michael’s today I hit the double jackpot. I had a deal on my BOA debit card for cash back and Michael’s website also had a few coupons I was able to pull up on my phone to use in store. Every penny counts especially when you are planning / paying for a wedding!
Oct. 7 Expenses :

Sunday - the lazy / best day of the week. Today was full of laundry, cooking and putting together creative content. All the things that make my Sundays complete! Although, I was  home for most of this rainy Sunday, I did head to the store to grab some comfort food for my hunny.
Oct. 8 Expenses :
Shaw’s: $15
(Shaw’s is literally 2 mins away from my house so it shows up my bank statement quite often - LOL)
Amazon Bill: $60
Total : $75
Tip #8 - Be mindful when it comes to spending. Especially when you walk into one of your fave shops. Here are my tips / tricks!
1. Remember what’s in your frig, even if you need to take a snapshot before you head out the door. This helps prevent buying something you may have already. Smart, will be your nickname after you share this tip with your friends.
2. Check for sale prices or any coupons you can find in the shop’s weekly ad. There are usually special discounts or even offers to buy in bulk to save time and money in the future.
3. LIST - oh lists on top of lists. Always, be sure to make a list of the items you need and make sure to stick to those items. Nothing more and certainly nothing less.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Oct. 9
A nice day off calls for comfort food / cozy clothes / creative vibes. I started today with a stack of homemade pumpkin pancakes and a nice hot mug of almond pumpkin coffee with a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon! Yum. I feel bad - I didn’t leave the house today - at all. With halloween movie marathons and lots of creative thinking going on there was no need to leave, all I need was right here. Well, that was until 1pm when Anthony had to head off to work.
I did not spend a dime today - just the way I like it, hahaa.
Tip #9 - Money saving tip as well as a self care tip - Sending a little ‘me time’ with ones self is never a bad thing. Make yourself some breakfast, lunch and dinner, just like Mama use to. Bring out that book that you’ve been wanting to read or pull out your notepad and write down some goals you have and how you plan to accomplish them. I realized this with one bad experience I had  with one of my fave places to eat recently - I was so disappointed because, honestly I could have done a better job. I promised myself I would try and be a bit more practical next time. Something in my gut was saying to pass on it, but I didn’t listen. Lesson learned, hahaa. Listen to your inner most it knows best. Be good to yourself and your pockets!

Oct. 10
Today was a fun filled day of training on a new computer system. Although, long and tedious - I learned a lot and caught up with some good people. Today like most days I bought in my own coffee, lunch and snacks. Then after training - I came home and relaxed. Needless to say - I did not spend any money. I had everything I needed from coffee to leftovers for din-din.
Tip #10 - In the line of work that I’m in, I know the importance of paying your bills on time because there could be life changing consequences. I’m not saying if you don’t pay your phone your bank account will be levied. But, if you don’t pay your phone bill it could result in late fees or even having your phone disconnected. You always want to pay your bills in a timely manner to avoid any of that awful backlash. Also, it matters when it comes to your credit! Creditors report late payments to all three credit bureaus for future creditors to see if you are a reliable payor or not. If not, it can make it harder for you to get more important lines of credit such as a  mortgage or cosigning for your children’s student loans. There are so many bill alerting apps, which track your bills’ due date and the amounts that needs to be paid each month. Be smart with your money love, your future self will thank you.

Oct. 11
Today has been a pretty cloudy day. Not really feeling my best, so today was a well needed day off. A bit of self-care and love. Lots of tea and shut eye. However, I’m off to a sweet little baby shower this weekend. So, Anthony and I went to Babies R Us in search of a gift. After about an hour of searching for the perfect treat we were ready to check out which leads me to . .
Tip #11
THE PRICE MATCH TOOL! Most retailers will price match items from other online and in-store retailers. Always, make sure to ask sales person if the shop offers this service especially if you know an item is sold in a variety of shops. Take your time - there is no need to rush  so you can be sure to find the lowest price. For example - today we saved over $20 bucks by simply taking a few moments to search the web for the best deal. Saving any amount is always better than nada.

Oct. 12
My day started bright and early! I have a guest coming over Friday night, so I needed to head to Target for some apps and treats! Oppose to me getting the regular takeout when I have my girl pals over. I’ve been trying my best to be better at cutting back costs by going with either homemade meals or picking up foods I can pop in the oven! Takeout can be so expensive especially with the delivery cost! Also, who can resist going to Target - not this girl that’s for sure! So, I went up and down the isles loading up on my goods with a smile. Finally, I ended up meeting up with my favorite cashier to do some damage. Then suddenly I realized, I needed to check out cartwheel app and to my surprise I found more than half my goods where discounted through this golden app! Score! Double score when I used my Target Red Debit Card, I saved nearly $10 when all was said and done! With a little patience and time I found deals that I would have not gone had I not visited my cartwheel app before checking out. I even came to the conclusion with little bit of change I saved I would buy us a nice bottle of wine!
Tip #12
If you noticed I mentioned I have the Target Red Debit Card. Which means I basically have a debit card for Target. When I first signed up, I was offered the debit card which would be linked directly to my BOA account. Or a Target credit card that would work like any other credit card through a third party bank. I decided a long time ago, if I didn’t have it I didn’t need it! With that said I went with debit card and never looked back since! I don’t have a monthly bill and don’t have to worry about flexible interest fees. It’s my money - my debit card which means I don’t owe anyone. Plus, I save 5% on all my purchases. My fiancé and I recently bought a new television with the Target Red Debit Card we saved over $50. I know I sound like a Target Ad hahaa! That’s why Target should sponsor me! Holla at ya girl! LOL

Oct. 13
It just wouldn’t be October without Friday the 13th! I love all things Halloween, from the horror flicks to the sweet treats! The season is upon us with those Jason classics! Today is a beautiful crisp day in Boston. The sun is out and the air is cool. However, the only sun I’ll be able to see is when I take my walks around my workplace building. I work an extremely long day today and although I’d rather be apple picking with friends. I have a lot of work to complete before the weekend. So, its all good! Being at work the entire day also leaves no room for money to be spent. And from my previous post you know that I already have dinner squared away. Which means . .
Oct. 13 Expenses: $0
Total: $0 Yay! #notakeout
Tip #13
With today being Friday the 13th and all Hollows Eve approaching, I’m sure many of you are thinking - “What will I be this year?” and “Where should I start looking?” My answer to that question is your closet and craft bucket! DIY Halloween this year, don’t go out and spend a ton of money on costume that’s probably cheaply made but cost $50 and UP! A few of my favorite DIY costumes are - a Cat, Disco Star and Beyoncé (of course)! Check out Pinterest and Instagram for more great ideas!
 Stay spooky and careful!
Oct. 14
Lazy Saturdays call for Boston Bagel Company and long drives with my love. I did a little self care and caffeine therapy. However, I did spend a little on Wedding decor. AC Moore was having a great sale on all their items, even sale! I’ve been waiting for this sale for some time now, so I knew I wanted to seize this opportunity to make out some deals. Sooo - $70 later I was wondering what I bought! Hahaha - but it’s all good. I left satisfied with my purchase! Although, I went a little out of the scope of my cleanse - this sale didn’t want to miss out on, especially when I could saving a dollar on items I needed in bulk. Wedding costs can add up so whenever I can catch a sale, I’m all for it!
Tip #14
Even when you stray from your budget / spending plan. It’s ok - as long as you are conscious of what you are buying and where your money is going. If you need to spend due to an emergency or a sale that would save you a ton on an item(s) you need - thats ok. Conscious spending, can save you a lot in the long run because you won’t be spending just because you have it in your account. You’ll be buying with purpose.
Oct. 14 Expenses:
AC Moore: $70
Starbucks: $10 (Reload To App)
Target: $77 (More, Wedding decor LOL)

Oct. 15
After a pumpkin pancakes type morning, I was ready for the day which called for a celebration of a little bundle of joy! It was great day filled with laughs and catching up with friends. I didn’t spend any money today with food being served at the baby shower and enjoying the company of those around me. I had no need to spend. It was without a doubt a great day!
Tip #15
One thing that I have not done in a while that I did this weekend was do my own nails. This simple act can save you so much! On average with nails and toes I spend about $50-$60. No act is too small! Save yourself the hassle and pamper yourself at home, like no other!

Dear Sunday, I love you x
Oct. 16
Monday, I love you too - just in a different way. Hahaa! Today started at Target I needed to pick up some stuff for my mother and fur baby, Willow. I could have done some serious damage but, I was steadfast on this cleanse and I honestly didn’t need anything else for the Wedding from Target at this time and there was no emergency. So, I was in and got right out. I didn’t even stop for Starbucks (Anthony would be proud)!
Tip #16
Cutting back on Starbucks has been a bit hard for me. I love their seasonal drinks but, I’ve learned to make my own Pumpkin Spice Latte / Coffee with the help of YouTube! I estimate that I’ve saved about $25 thus far this month! Honestly, I feel better drinking my homemade Starbucks drinks and they have way more vegan friendly. Making your own faves are so easy to make and save more than you think. Try it - I promise you won’t regret it!

Lonnngg day at work. All that had going on with today was loads of work and the gym. I can’t complain. It was a nice and productive day, I must say. Just the way I like em’. With that said, I send $0 today. No need to buy anything when you have all you need inside you lunch sack and on your phone!
Tip #17 Gym fees can add up and not to mention if you don’t make it to the gym most of the time it can be a waste of money. One alternative to going to the gym is looking up fitness videos on YouTube. My favorite is Fitness Blender’s HIT workout videos. It gets the job and usually under 30 minutes! The only reason I feel the need to have a gym membership is because, I have a Wedding coming up and I’ll be one of the main attractions! I want to look and feel my best so I’m up for the challenge!

Another day in the neighborhood. The weather was beautiful, truly a perfect fall day! Today was another long day at work. With my homemade lunch, coffee and kombucha, I didn’t have to step out of the office. Well, I did when I took my daily walks. Today I didn’t spend any money and staying on track with my cleanse!
Tip #18
I have a couple of friends who are obsessed with their credit scores and constantly asking me “Why is my credit score not going up?” It’s because they are constantly checking Credit Karma striving to reach the 700′s. However, it’s not about being apart of the “800 Club” it’s about the creating better money / spending habits. So, don’t take it so serious, your credit score matters. But, it’s not the end all be all. You go this x

Today started off at Car Wash where I did some serious cleaning of second half, Lola (my Honda)! She looks amazing from the inside out. Then I had to fun over to Target to pick up some dinner essentials and other little things which included Halloween décor, Wedding baskets and lady products. Feeling so good, so productive!

Saturdays feel so good to me! Especially when you have one that includes Wedding shopping and Halloween parties surrounded by a fire pit with sangria in hand! Amazing company and convos, it couldn’t have been better. Today I sent a bit on Wedding items - table numbers, something blue and a welcome sign. Then later at the Halloween party in support of one my high school friends I bought some of his creative goodness - probably sent way too much! LOL Breaking my cleanse a bit - but, I consider it comes out of my $100 bi-weekly allowance and it helps a creative do what they know what to do - be creative and thrive!

Pretty day - good vibes - self reflection Tuesday. Today was a pretty good day - long but good! I went for my daily walks and caught up with a good friend. I bought all I needed to work so I didn’t need to leave the workplace. This is becoming part of the norm I know but, this was my goal to be able to go to work without having to spend on breakfast / coffee / lunch / more coffee / dinner. My eye is on the prize to save the $700 I’m aiming towards.

I can’t believe I made it this far! I’m less than a week away from completing this financial cleanse. This was just what I needed and helped me be a bit more money smart. Realizing I didn’t always need to spend when I went out and that home cooked meals will always be better than whatever is on the menu for takeout. Today I did have to get my braids done over for upcoming events and the gym had turned my head into a hot sweaty mess. Hahaa. So, I made my way over to my friend’s house to get this hair did. Once done my mother asked if she could have a break from cooking and could we just get some .  .  . do I dare to say it?! TAKEOUT. Although, this goes against my financial cleanse. I just can’t say no to my mother. I love her too much. So, I did some damage :(

Today instead of traveling to my home office in Taunton, I went to Chelsea to participate in user acceptance training for a new system that my employer will be implementing in early December. I love traveling to this location due to the fact that I can travel via the MBTA, which is my local transit system. I get to enjoy my ride to work with a book or podcast! So, along I went. I did have to pay for the train and bus. I loaded my Charlie Card aka Metro Card. I also treated myself to a cup of Starbucks. I know no take out meaning no coffee but, it was calling my name, honestly! Hahaa

Aww - I have made it to the final weekend of my financial cleanse! I can’t believe I’ve made it this far! Like seriously - I’m so impressed with myself and all the progress I’ve made. The cleanse will be done on Tuesday, then I will be sharing all the data I’ve collected and most importantly HOW MUCH I SAVED and HAVE I REACHED MY GOAL? Be sure to be here to check it out.
So, today my love and I had the day off. So, we made our way to the mall because I was in desperate need of a facial cleanser and eye cream. We get to the mall and after picking out what I needed at The Body Shop, I make my way to the checkout… I left my wallet at home! Maybe it was a sign that I should NOT be shopping, LOL! I mean I am on a cleanse! That’s when my superhero stepped and saved the day! Thanks to my love, I have clean skin! We also went to Spooky World with his brother, sister and a friend. I did buy the kiddos some treats so, I did spend a little but, not very much at all!

Low - key Sunday, filled with all things Halloween and living in my PJ’s. In the name of laziness  - I broke my cleanse. I bought takeout! I have to be honest with you guys, I didn’t feel like cooking today and dived into some pizza and ginger ale. But, I can’t beat myself up about it because I was in the mood for some me time and self pampering.

Oct. 30
Today was a great Fall day - started with a bit of rain and me losing power. However, as the the day went along the sun came out and I received good news that one of my co-workers was moving on to bigger plans. Which makes me so happy that someone is following the path they want to lead! Due to the power going out this morning, I didn’t have my morning coffee brewed at home. So, Starbucks again was calling my name (FYI : I will have my PSL hack up on my Instagram tomorrow) so I was excited for my AM treat. Yes! Tomorrow is the last say of this October Financial Cleanse, be sure come back tomorrow for my results!

Final day of my cleanse! I can’t believe I made it! Most of all I can’t believe I’m done with my first month long blog! It wasn’t easy but all worth it. I’ve learned that you have to make your money work for you, not against you. You decide where your money goes. Good money habits, create opportunity for you do things that are value. Not the next Gucci bag or a BMW. Rather create memories with loved ones with travel and exploring new cultures by trying new foods or traditions through art exhibits.
I’m happy to say I saved just under $1,100! My goal was $700 that means I’m in the surplus of $400! What a achievement, I couldn’t be more happy and proud. Today I intentionally did not spend any money. Just in the effort to end my cleanse with a bang. So, for the last day of my cleanse . .

Tag game
Rules: Complete the questions & say who tagged you in the beginning. When you’re finished, tag people to do this survey. Have fun and enjoy!
I was tagged by the wonderful @astrangegirlsmind
1. Are you named after someone? No, I’m actually named after a place. My mom always said everyone was convinced she was having a boy, so she came up with the name Taren Eric, which she thought she made up. If she did, by some misfortune, have a girl, she figured she’d just name me after her mother who had died several years before. So, surprise! After she was disappointed by me (only the first in a lifetime of disappointments to come lol), she ended up naming me after a place she’d visited. Although it has actually gained some popularity, I still hate my name.
2. When was the last time you cried? Like wrecked, uncontrolled sobbing? Probably a few months ago when everything was too overwhelming. Like tearing up and sobbing a bit and having to blow my nose repeatedly? Yesterday when I re-listened to the Deathly Hallows and got to the part with Dobby and you know… that part, you’d have to be made of stone not to cry at that.
3. Do you like your handwriting? When I take the time to make it pretty, I like it. Otherwise, it’s fine; it’s functional.
4. What is your favorite lunch meal? Like an old person which I am, I tend to eat my biggest meal at lunch so my ultimate favorite is when I splurge or have a coupon and take myself out to a nice meal like steak. I do try to have a healthy-ish mix of protein, potato and veg though.
5. Do you have kids? Nope.
6. If you were another person, would you be friends with you? Probably not, because I’m the type of person who is clingy and needy yet socially anxious and unreliable and disappears when overwhelmed and under stress and I never know what to say to those kinds of people.
7. Do you use sarcasm? Yes, probably more than I should. But my aunts, who are usually the only people I’m around, don’t grasp sarcasm so it’s really not fair of me.
8. Do you still have your tonsils? Nope, had them out as a young kid.
9. Would you bungee jump? You couldn’t pay me enough.
10. What is your favorite kind of cereal? Lucky Charms.
11. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Not if I don’t have to; I’m lazy.
12. Do you think you’re a strong person? I think that a lifetime of anxiety disorder and OCD has made me strong in weird ways and prepared me for the big challenges in life because my daily existence is a overactive response to stress so I get lots of practice. xD
13. What is your favorite ice cream? Lactose intolerant so I try not to eat it, but when I was a kid, it was teaberry from a little soft-serve joint near my home.
14. What is the first thing you notice about people? Their smile or facial expression and height.
15. What is the least favorite physical thing you like about yourself? My belly. I’m sure that I have abs under there—somewhere—they are just tenderly swaddled and protected by the pudge.
16. What color pants and shoes are you wearing now? Black leggings and no shoes, just black socks.
17. What are you listening to right now? Rocktopia Live in Budapest: A Classical (R)evolution, it’s on PBS right now
18. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Wine purple
19. Favourite smell? The smell of fall where I grew up with the crushed leaves and a whiff of smoke from a wood fire.
20. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? My 83-year-old aunt
21. Favorite sport to watch? American football and real football
22. Hair color? Pastel Pink
23. Eye color? Brown
24. Do you wear contacts? Yes, when I can get them in. Otherwise, glasses.
25. Favorite food to eat? Potatoes, I could eat potatoes every meal in almost every way (but never, ever potato salad because that shit is nasty).
26. Scary movies or comedy? Comedy (but overall I prefer action flicks)
27. Last movie you watched? The Manchurian Candidate
28. What color of shirt are you wearing? White long-sleeved T-shirt advertising a snowboard company
29. Summer or winter? Winter—GIMME ALL THE COLD PLEASE
30. Hugs or kisses? Hugs unless I know you veeery well. ;D
31. What book are you currently reading? I’m re-listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and a non-fiction book called The Urban Monk: Eastern Wisdom and Modern Hacks to Stop Time and Find Success, Happiness, and Peace. I’m reading a manga titled Tactics Vol. 4 (this series is one of my favorites EVER).
32. Who do you miss right now? My dad and mom
33. What is on your mouse pad? I don’t use one
34. What is the last TV program you watched? This PBS special but before that, I caught half an episode of Monk while I was eating. Wait, Dragonball Z Super just came on, yay.
35. What is the best sound? My mom laughing when she’s happy
36. Rolling stones or The Beatles? Not a huge fan of either but of those two, Rolling Stones
37. What is the furthest you have ever travelled? Road trip to the West. Ha, I felt like I was quoting Saiyuki there for a sec. We drove from the midwestern uni I attended to western Colorado then up to Wyoming and around before heading back the northern route.
38. Do you have a special talent? I don’t think anything about me is special.
39. Where were you born? Northeast U.S.

june: week three
12: i got up at 7 am and then decided not to work in the office today. i just felt really sad again. i also wasn’t going to get dinner or lunch with vicki because she was too far T_T i’ll see her when i go back to chicago though. i laid in bed for 30 minutes or so and then brushed up and decided to walk over to the closest postal box to ship off my other rothy’s. oh, i didn’t explain to you all why my feet are hurting: i wore rothy’s flats for two days straight and they cramped my big toe and got my joints to flare up. the first day felt fine but after the second day, my feet hurt. it hurts to walk when i get up. x_x; so yeah, i returned both the 7.5 (too wide) and 7 (fit me but pointed toe box was too small). i had to wrestle with the customer service rep -__-” for me to return it. ugh. anyway, i took that walk and regretted it walking back because my allergies were starting to flare up and my legs got itchy. also, the box didn’t open all the way so my package wouldn’t fit x_x;
the morning continued to be semi-bad? i cut my nail with the serrated knife (just he nail) so i went to clip my nail and the pin that held it together popped out and down the drain.... i sent in a maintenance request and then told kevin what happened and he was basically like “typical.” x_X; we ate breakfast and then after kevin left, the maintenance guy came and asked me if i really needed it and i said not really so he just left hahahaha. omg. much fails this morning. i ordered super nice nail clippers on amazon with my credit card reward points and then put on ‘beauty and the beast’ (live action version) and went to work. i also got to watch all the episodes of the ‘world of dance’, and i tried watching gordon ramsay’s ‘the f word’ but it’s a really weird show format-wise. x__x; i was pretty productive while watching stuff so i think i’m going to continue doing this while i work from home and recover.
after work, i did 45 minutes of abs because i can’t do cardio. i didn’t want to listen to blogilates talk (LOL) so i put on the second season of ‘master of none’ and worked out to that. kevin came back early because he didn’t decide to climb today. i baked lemon pepper chicken again and kevin made some yu choy. i showered and then we ate leftovers and all of that for dinner while watching gordon ramsay videos. kevin cleaned up and then marinated pork butt in a char siu marinade while i ended my night walking 10k (i had to make up some steps after dinner) and watching videos. i went to sleep at 11:40 pm. i ko’d.
13: i got up at 8:30 am and then prepared for work. i ate breakfast with kevin and then went to work after he left. i also looked into glasses and contacts’ exams. hmmm i might just sign up for america’s best’s eyecare club for 5 years. hmmm. idk. well, i worked on my current project, ate lunch, and etc. i watched all the episodes of ‘love connection’ and then went on to watching the newest episodes of masterchef. i also got to catch up on some manga. on another note, i found out the name and artist of the song i’ve been dying to find on a youtube video. lol, kevin also tried looking for me... we found it though! yay. my feet are still healing and not yet fully recovered :( i worked for the rest of the day and after work, i just got real into looking at airline reward systems and got a headache so i took a 20 minute nap. kevin came back and then i worked out while watching master of none and kevin worked on finishing up cooking his char siu while making dinner for us. i did a bit of dance cardio but my feet still aren’t 100%. i took it real easy. we ate dinner and then ate some of the char siu and it was DELICIOUS. omg, kevin is a masterchef <3 i’m so lucky to have him LOL. we nommed on some meat and then cleaned up a bit and showered. i was totally beat after that. i went to sleep at around 11:30 pm. zzz.
14: lol i woke up at 8;30 am again. i ate breakfast with kevin and then went straight to work and realized i had a good amount left to do. i put on the newest episodes of world of dance and masterchef while i worked. then i ate lunch, worked, got on standup, and then finished up the project. then i rested with some videos and planned what to do for the next day. i think tomorrow i’m going to go to fedex and print out test copies of this project and hopefully, they turn out great. kevin surprised me by coming home hella early even though he said he was climbing? apparently, his team left the office at 3:30 pm and so he did too and went climbing. so i kind of rushed to finish my oblique workout and then showered and then we ate char siu banh mi for dinner mmmm. so yummy. i ate an apple pear for dessert and that tipped me over and i felt so bloated... kevin also is very clumsy and hurts me all the time. my foot is feeling better but kevin like kicked it and it stung a bit but still ok. my left foot is healing faster than my right. i don’t know what’s wrong with my right foot T_T please heal, i’m sorry! i fit in a small minimal intensity cardio workout at the end of the day and then went to sleep at like 11:30 pm.
15: i had a call at 10 am so i hopped on that after eating breakfast. kevin said bye to me in the middle of the call and went to work. the call went pretty well and then i spent another 30 minutes doing some visual work for the customer. then i decided to skip lunch and just head out to fedex and the prudential center so i could get back home and eat a later lunch. i spent an hour or so at warby parker trying on frames and i think i found the ones i’m going to buy next month (: woot. then i stopped by the eataly in the mall and got a plain croissant. it was lemon-flavored o_o; i ate and found this hidden fedex and spent like 2 hours there talking to cliff, the guy who works there. he was a really nice grandpa/dad figure haha. he kept telling me to buy a house in rhode island and invest in it. then he gave me great restaurant recommendations all while i figured out the best font size for the printed map. he also had great opinions about design and he is a super smart guy. i gave him my business card (first business card swap) and i’m definitely coming back to this fedex if i ever need to print anything again.
it was 4:45 pm by the time i got out of there. i commuted back (it wasn’t bad at all). then i ate a bowl of cereal because i was so hungry and then heated up the char siu and toasted the bread. kevin got back and we ate banh mi for dinner. then we chilled on the sofa and kevin got too tired and relaxed to cook omurice so i’m on my own tomorrow and he’ll buy lunch LOL. i managed to get in my arm workout at the end of the day before showering and hitting the sack. i went to sleep later than usual at around 12:30 am?
16: i woke up very unsettled... i’m still pretty unsettled. it’s something about my friendships right now that make me feel this way... anyway, i got up at 8:45 am and then started my day. it was a pretty productive day! there were a lot of loose ends to tie with the things we’ve been working on but everything was coming together. i watched some masterchef and youtube videos while working. i made some fried rice for lunch and only ate a bit. i think i needed to add more oil or even butter. :P after work, i did manage to do 30 minutes of kickboxing cardio without weights and my feet were pretty okay? kevin went climbing today but came back early still. kevin refried the rice with butter and made some veggies. i ate a lot of the fried rice because it was sooo good after being cooked with the butter. the rest of the night we showered, chilled and relaxed. it was going to be a chill af weekend and i hope my feet would make a full recovery. i ko’d at around 11 pm or 12 am.
17: lol i annoyed kevin in the morning. he was trying to sleep but it was like 9-10 am and he said we would go grocery shopping and go to coco leaf early in the morning. so i kept bouncing on the bed and stuff like that. he yelled at me LOL. T_T i was hurt for a bit but it was also my fault. we ate a bit of breakfast before heading to coco leaf and then drove into dorchester for the first time. we were in a very vietnamese neighborhood haha. we ordered a che thai, che lychee, hello vietnam savory crepe, tray cai sweet crepe, and their big bang flavored popcorn chicken. the popcorn chicken was meh and so were their crepes. they were alright. their che were delicious though. kevin’s was more refreshing and floral and mine was the traditional che thai with durian tho :O it was slightly overpowering but i got used to it. we couldn’t finish 2/3 of the savory crepe (most vietnamese tasting food we’ve ever had -- i think it was the hams in there) and got it to go. we drove back home, meal planned, and then tried getting a tour of a room in deco that has a den in it. we couldn’t because the current tenants haven’t moved out yet so we just decided to put our names down. we have 3 days to figure out if we want to stay in deco for the same price. i think we’re staying because we don’t have time to move.
we got groceries at kam man, good fortune, and then bj’s. then we came back home and chilled for the rest of the day. i managed to make myself play bravely default again (been procrastinating). kevin and i went out to grill some hamburgers and ate them for dinner. then i kept gaming until i felt like i needed to do a bit of moving. i did some butt exercises and then showered and gamed with kevin until 2 am? lol my sleeping schedule is totally messed up now. :(
18: we got up at around 10 am and then we ate breakfast and i did a bit of gaming before we headed out to bj’s again to use our coupons. we were in and out and then headed to the movies to get tickets to watch wonder woman. we got tickets to captain underpants instead because there weren’t any good seats left for the wonder woman showtimes x_x; plus, kevin heard that the captain underpants movie was pretty good. we drove back home and then chilled until we needed to go back to the movies. i gamed, did laundry, and got into low-impact exercising! kevin gamed and read fanfic lol. the movie was pretty funny but it did get a little slow in the middle. overall, i could see why it has an 85% on rotten tomatoes. we got back home, i cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, kevin started cooking, and before all of that though, i got real hungry during the movie so we heated up some tyson chicken strips. uhh, they’re alright... they’re kind of mushy on the inside. i prefer their nuggets. i gamed for the rest of then night, talked to hillary on the phone for a bit, and finally got to the last chapter of bravely default. i’m gonna finish this game!!! D:< i stayed up way later than i expected and ended up sleeping at like 1 am. x_x; i was definitely going to work from home again because my feet are still recovering :(
