The sensation wasn’t new to her. It was Mariko who persisted, even well past their school days, in greeting her kohai by circling her arms around Krisalia’s waist and pecking her cheek with a quick, innocent kiss; and if teachers or co-workers happened to be around and gave them funny looks for being this intimate for a mere greeting, Mariko’s ready-at-hand and well practiced answer was I’m half French, and I like to stick to my heritage when it comes to show my friends how much I care for them!

[Yet, Krisalia didn’t know if Mariko’s claims about being half European were true. When you’re stuck in your twenties for roughly less than hundred years, one does have an awful lot of time to learn and improve their knowledge of foreign languages and cultures.]

However, in the here and now, the arms that were holding the detective in place were strong, slightly muscular and lean; male, in all regards.And male was the chest she was leaning against to, and so were the lips that were brushing her right cheek in such an affectionate fashion.

“Treasure.”

Only one man could call Krisalia like that.

Akira Kurusu, one of the three barista helpers at the Huggamug Café.Also known as Joker, the daring thief who stole her heart many years ago. [Who would have thought that they would actually meet in person and slowly fall for each other, once in their adulthood?]The devil in disguise who, in his own way, was helping Krisalia to understand her true nature.

“Come home with me tonight. Your apartment is a little too cold for you in this time of the year, isn’t it?”

The lump in her throat was hard and painful to swallow down. Aside from the codewords they used for when Eira or other customers were within earshot, Akira never bothered to hide his intentions. It was an easy guess to how he intended to keep the purple-haired detective warm, and picturing the scene in her head made Krisalia’s legs quiver.

Breathe in, breathe out. Stay calm, Krisalia, stay calm. There’s still a long way to home before you can give in to the passion, so, please, keep a straight face! And, for God’s sake, don’t rut your butt against Akira’s lap! It feels good, I get that, but it’s still a bad idea to do it while you two are on the streets! Wait until you’re at his place, then you can act slutty to your heart’s content!

“…it is, but I still need to go and grab a change for tomorrow morning” she stated, struggling to keep her voice as neutral as possible. “I still have a job to go to, you know.” A soft chuckle danced on her ear, followed shortly by a pair of warm lips.

“I know, I know. You won’t be late tomorrow, I promise.” Krisalia wasn’t sure at all of the sincerity of his words, but she didn’t question it. “Still, I’ll treat you so nicely that I bet you won’t want to leave my bed ever again, my angel.”

She chuckled, taking hold of his hand before it sneaked past her skirt.

“I know that you will, master.”

Well, well, well… there’s a tasty list going on here~Onward with the answers!Krisalia’s favorite ice cream flavor would be strawberry with cream [such a surprise, nobody said], while tropical mix jelly beans and Skittles are her favorite type of candy. As of cakes, you can make her really happy if you buy her [or, even better, bake!] some good old-fashioned strawberry shortcake! She also enjoys cheesecake [usually the no-bake variety, but she’s willing to try the cotton cheesecake] and red velvet. From an aesthetic point of view, her favorite would be the rainbow cake [but she doesn’t like the flavor: too plain and buttery for her tastes!]When it comes to beverages, in the colder months there’s nothing that soothes this detective more than a cup of English Garden tea [a black tea blend with strawberries, roses and other edible flowers: curiosly enough, Krisalia has a strong distaste for black tea as it is]; and when it’s summertime, a tall glass of Coke is anything Krisalia could ask for! Aside for you, Akira, but you’re not exactly famous for being refreshing…If you peek a little in her bag, you’ll notice a pack or two of Pockys, her favorite snack! [Salty crackers should be the healthier choice, but…] Chocolate stays back at home, safely stashed in the pantry and ready to be used when Krisalia needs a little pick-me up while working on a case from home: milk chocolate is already good to keep her spirits up, but the real banger is that rum/raisins/hazelnuts bar she has to buy online…Proudly following Ann’s legacy, the purple-haired detective/maiden in love favors japanese-style crepes as desserts! That’s fine for an outdoor date, but what if you want to have a taste of Krisalia’s cooking skills? Fear not: among the dishes she likes to cook, you can enjoy karaage, sunny-side up eggs with bacon, club sandwich, baked salmon filet, yakisoba, ramen, omurice and home-style chicken pie with mushroom cream and crispy bacon! And, if both of you feel too lazy to cook a proper meal… prepare for a trip to the nearest conbini, because Krisalia’s favorite junk food are onigiri/onigirazu [keep an eye for fried shrimp or tonkatsu ones], currypan and takoyaki! Or just straight-up order some giant pizza or hot dogs with wasabi mayo, right Akira?~

💓 When did they have their first crush? “I’m pretty sure I’ve told it earlier, but… my first, proper crush happened the first year of high school, and it was for Joker. He looked like he had just walked out of a movie, and I was completely enraptured by his lean figure, the aura of confidence he radiated, his deep, deep obsidian gaze… aaaaahh, I’m still blushing at the mere thought! S-sorry about that! Well, moving on… he was the main reason I’ve joined the police as a detective [my mom still teases me on this matter when I can afford to go back home in Kyoto!], and you can imagine how much I was shocked to discover that, under that white mask, there was Akira…”

💖 How do they say ‘I love you’ without really saying it?“Slow-paced, longing kisses. I like to concentrate on one lip at time, usually the lower one, and suck and lick it until I can hear my name being moaned quietly~Otherwise, by sharing my favorite sweets! I love that slight blush that colors Akira’s cheeks when I propose to feed him a spoonful of cake… that, and the low hum of appreciation he does!”

🌹 What is their idea of a perfect date?“A day at Tokyo Disneyland! I want it to be a day full of laughs, popcorn and silly songs, a day where we can set free our inner child and be marveled by anything that the park has to offer… and then, when the night falls, have some adult quality time in our suite, feeding each other with strawberries and cream while the fireworks twinkle in the distance, and… mh, smear that cream on his body and lick it off~”

Nothing grandiose, surely not a fancy dinner in a snob restaurant and neither a declaration in front of everyone: I’d like it to happen when there’s only the two of us, maybe in a secluded place with a pretty view [am I thinking about the top of the Sky Tree Tower? Perhaps]. Oh, and I’d love to receive a fresh boquet of pastel-pink roses! Also, I don’t care about gold and diamonds: I’m more into rainbow-colored crystals, angel quartzs or sapphires, and silver is much appreciated! 👶 Do they want children?“…actually, this is still a big question mark to me, but… I’m leaning towards no. For starters, there’s many things I want to do before having an offspring… and, secondly, Akira is sterile. He told me how he could get me pregnant, if I really wanted to, but… no. No no no, that’s a big no for me. I count it as cheating, big time. And I can’t stand the thought of having a child from a man who isn’t Akira, so… I’m fine with having none at all. Pets would be a much more viable solution.”
