Hi! which director was it that posted a selfie without Malcolm in his loft in Ep 21? I keep looking for that selfie but I can't find it :(. All these theories on the finale is getting me so hyped! I hope we don't have to wait till May for more episodes. Also on prodigal son's instagram where Martin says happy Friday 13th, he's wearing normal clothes I think that it might be what he's wearing if he's escaped cuz the cast is usually wearing their costumes when doing these interviews...
the director is lily mariye and here is the selfie! I hope so as well but obviously safety of the cast and crew is the top priority, it just sucks that something so many people put hundreds of hours of work into might end up getting messed up at the last minute bc of something so out of everyone’s control.
and that’s a good point about the cast interviews! you’re right that the cast is in costume and on set when they do them (usually they use martin’s cell or malcolm’s apartment to film, but halston’s recent interview took place in martin’s old office in the whitly house so make of that what you will). the cast also usually is in costumes that don’t appear until later since they probably film a bunch at one time; for example, both tom and bellamy did interviews about episodes 11-14 in their episode 15 costumes

michael isn’t wearing an outfit we’ve seen before...I think it’s most likely that it’s for a camping trip flashback but it isn’t the outfit we’ve seen him wear in other camping trip scenes.

I’m also not sure what the background of michael’s interview is either?  is it somewhere in the whitly house or a new building we haven’t seen before???

Pairing: You / Baekhyun
Rating: 18+ (Explicit Sex, Mention of Drug Use)
Word Count: 3,216
Summary:  It’s 1970′s Florida and crime lord Byun Baekhyun has managed to build his empire on crime and thievery. You’re his rival, the daughter of his greatest enemy and from the moment he sees you - he knows you’re going to be trouble.
Lucky for you, Byun Baekhyun happens to like trouble.
Contributors: the always amazing, stupendously wonderful - @baebae-goodnight for the perfect moodboard <3
Byun Baekhyun stands at the second floor’s balcony, hands spread over the iron railing overlooking the dance floor. All around, people are moving. Their sweaty, writhing bodies pulsate beneath strobe lights, grinding to the rhythm of the bass. Baekhyun watches the crowd absently, noting the little things his patrons never seem to notice.
There are twice the normal number of bodyguards here tonight. Twice his usual amount, since despite Baekhyun being able to take care of himself, it is Chanyeol’s job as head of security to be wary of danger. To make sure the head of the Byun empire remains safe. Much of tonight’s staff has been hired, so Baekhyun looks each one over with a critical eye.  He fails to spot anything out of the usual and so, resumes scanning the crowd.
Directly below, someone snorts coke from a plain, white line on his counter. Baekhyun’s upper lip curls in disappointment – he’ll need to remind Junmyeon tomorrow to clean that. At least his security guards are blending in, which is more than Baekhyun can say for the last bunch. It can be hard to distinguish the guests from his guards – which is exactly as it should be.
Baekhyun’s gaze remains wary, though because can tell. Baekhyun knows every face, every name and every age of those within his establishment. From over the top of his yellow-gold sunglasses, Baekhyun’s gaze follows a white sheath dress traversing the crowd.
Although he can’t see the face, Baekhyun knows that it’s you. Princess to his rival cartel, the heir to the drug fortune your father amassed. A fortune which stands in direct rival to his own. Unbeknownst to the crowd of tourists and party-goers below, that’s what this club is. A front for Baekhyun’s doings.
Overly tipsy females and prowling men provide the perfect cover, all of them wanting a good time on the beach. Little do they know Club Medallion is so much more than what they think. The upper levels are open to the outside, a sea breeze whistling past as Baekhyun’s hands tighten on the railing. Glancing again, he sees you headed for the stairs.
Forcing himself to relax, Baekhyun swipes a glass of whiskey from the closest table, tipping this back to let the burn hit his throat. He stands at the center of his favorite booth; a semi-enclosed space jutting out over the main dance floor. Swaths of white fall from tall posts on either side, cutting billowing figures across the enclosed hallway behind him. For Baekhyun, his presence tonight is a mixture of pleasure and business.
Pleasure, because in Miami, business is always a pleasure. Smirking slightly, Baekhyun tilts his head to one side. Business, because Baekhyun rarely does anything for pleasure alone.
This club is just one of many places he owns up and down the coast, and it doesn’t stop there. The Byun empire is a legacy spanning several continents. Eyes narrowed, Baekhyun lifts his glass to his lips. He needs to be constantly assessing, constantly on the move because Baekhyun’s major assets are routinely under attack. Rival cartels, the police, the feds – should they ever deign to get involved – just about everyone under the face of the sun wants to take him down.
His life is dangerous; Baekhyun knows this. But then again – this is exactly why he does the things that he does. Baekhyun acts for the thrill of it, for the moment he almost gets caught, that half-second where his world nearly comes crashing down – and then doesn’t. He lives for the elation which follows, the feeling of knowing he’s invincible. Knowing he’s bulletproof, that no one can touch him – and then you turn the corner.
For a moment you stand there, framed in his doorway. Every suite on the second floor is open, so people continue to slip past behind you. Baekhyun doesn’t blink, raising his glass for another sip as you enter his room.
Wrinkling your nose when you see him, you zero in on his hair.
“Really?” You lift a brow. “A mullet? As though you weren’t low-brow enough, Byun.”
Baekhyun’s upper lip curls as he sets down his whiskey. “What about the lip ring?” he asks. “You didn’t say anything about that.”
Baekhyun watches your gaze slowly drop, stomach curling with satisfaction when he sees you swallow.
“It’s fine,” you respond, a bit stiff.
Baekhyun takes a step forward, thumb rising to the corner of his mouth before he bites down. Your eyes follow the motion, slightly dazed by the sight and again, something animalistic stretches within him.
“So. What brings you to my club tonight?” Baekhyun asks, slipping his hands to his pockets.
Baekhyun has dressed fairly casually tonight. He wears a black t-shirt paired with jeans and a blazer – yellow, stitched with designs on the seams. Some might call his ensemble tacky, but those same people wouldn’t know the design’s an original, made in Milan by a designer only two people know the number for. One is another designer, Halston, the other is Baekhyun. Tilting his head to one side, Baekhyun allows his yellow frames to slip further down his nose.
He notices your gaze linger on said blazer, certain you are one of the few who know its origin. Just as you know of Baekhyun’s fortune, his fame – obviously, you do. It’s why you’ve come here tonight. It’s why Baekhyun’s security is so tight, why he’s doubled his usual guards. Baekhyun knew you would come once you heard of his incoming shipment.
Taking your first step, your hips sway enticingly in the tight dress you wear. Baekhyun stares for a moment, desire seeping through before he regains his composure. You can see this in his eyes, though; can see the wantonness in his stare and when his gaze flicks to yours, it’s much darker than before.
Steadily, Baekhyun runs a hand through reddish-black hair. He walks towards you lazily, suggestively and comes to a halt at the entrance.
“Well?” Baekhyun says, raising one eyebrow.
You unflinchingly meet his gaze. “There’s a large ship docked in Everglades City,” you say casually. “Pulled in a few nights ago and has been idling ever since. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you?”
Nothing in your voice betrays you, not even when you reach to grab Baekhyun’s half-finished glass of whiskey from the table beside him.
Baekhyun’s smile flickers, and he follows the glass to your lips. Before you can set it down again, he reaches out, fingertips brushing yours while he takes the glass in stride. Still not looking away, he takes a slow drink.
“The Everglades?” Baekhyun muses, his expression one of neutrality. “Can’t say I’ve ever been. Afraid of gators.”
Something sparks in your gaze. “Don’t play with me, Mr. Byun,” you say, your voice low. “I’m not to be trifled with. There are some who call me a dangerous woman.”
“I don’t doubt it,” Baekhyun says, drifting a step closer. Casually, his hand slides around your waist to pull you close. “My favorite kind.”
A mere breath stands between you. Slowly, your chest rises and falls, pushing against him like the tide on the sea. Your gaze trails from his, lingering on that damn metal lip ring, the sensual curve of mouth and before you know it, Baekhyun’s hands are in your hair.
“Fuck,” he groans, backing you against the wall. “I missed you.”
Spine hitting the surface, you arch into his kiss. The walls here are thin though, the doors open beyond and, attempting to regain control, you wrench your head to the side.
“Baekhyun,” you hiss, trying to ignore the way his head lowers, the casual flick of tongue and metal against your skin. “Someone will see us.”
Lifting his head, his dark eyes glint before looking guiltily at the door.
“I can’t help it,” he exhales, his hands tracing your hips. One moves even lower to cup you from behind. “You know what it does to me when you wear the color white.”
Dipping his head again, he finds the tender spot just beneath your collarbone. Baekhyun sucks, less than gentle and you know the gesture is sure to leave a mark.
“Baekhyun,” you blurt, moving him back.
With a rakish grin, he pushes his glasses up. “Were you not enjoying?”
“That’s...” Huffing, you look away. “That’s beside the point.”
Outside the room, someone walks past. The sound of loud, raucous laughter bounces down the hall to mix with the music and dancing below. Pupils dilating, Baekhyun seems to acknowledge the acts of tonight have been risky. That’s Baekhyun, though. He likes to live on the edge, slips in between laws and entertains himself by playing with fire. It’s one of the reasons why the two of you work.
As the right hand of your father, you’re the face of his operations. Wherever dirty work is needed, you’re there. Whenever money is exchanged, you’re there. You are a shadow, a nightstalker and Baekhyun is the flame which set you on fire. Before Baekhyun, life was business to you. Life was work, sweat and hard-earned thievery. Now, though – you find you can’t stay away.
It’s been months since the first time you fell into Baekhyun’s bed. Months of telling yourself you can easily walk away. Of telling yourself Baekhyun means nothing and you’re only a thrill to him. You’re something new, something different – until recently, that is.
Ever since the incident, it’s been harder to lie to yourself.
The incident took place several weeks ago, when you were kidnapped by a different rival. Your father failed to respond. In fact, he made his feelings towards you perfectly clear. Rescuing you wasn’t a risk he was willing to take.
You were dragged north by the rival, too deep into federal territory for your father to risk going after. He knew you were the bait and it was a trap. You knew this as well, and from the moment you were captured, knew it was your end. Despite telling your captors as much, they’d continued to hold out hope and you resigned yourself to the fact you were going to die.
Baekhyun, of course, was the variable you failed to factor in.
Baekhyun, who burst through the front doors with a razor-sharp smile and guns blazing. Flipping two MAC-10 machine pistols from his belt, he trained them on your captors and opened fire. Hot on his heels, his men swarmed the vicinity. Their appearance brought chaos, your captors panicking at the sight of a rival they’d never even considered.
Baekhyun left no survivors.
There was not a single man standing at the end, since no one could know what he’d done for you that night. No one could know he’d decided to save the daughter of his rival. The single threat to what Baekhyun held most dear – his empire.
When he reached you that night, cutting through puddles of blood, Baekhyun dropped to his knees and scanned your face. Trembling, his hands slid into your hair.
“Y/N,” he breathed, eyes wide. “I know you’re perfectly capable of saving yourself, so please don’t shoot me for doing this.”
Kissing you fiercely, he smeared blood in your hair as his lips opened yours. He burned you; he branded you. Baekhyun marked you as his and from that moment on, you were. And from that moment on, he was yours.
That was when you realized Baekhyun’s empire had become the second most important thing in his life – now, you were number one.
Now though, his gaze snaps to the hallway. Baekhyun calculates, pondering for a moment before he nods.
“Let’s go,” he says, sauntering towards the door. “Follow me, and try not to look suspicious.”
You stifle an eye roll, tossing your hair to descend the white stairs. In this club, you are safe. Unless your father’s men are here undercover, everyone within Baekhyun’s immediate circle knows exactly who you are. The secrecy of your arrangement is more for the two of you than anyone else present. You act this way in case your father does have men here, or in case any of Baekhyun’s lower ilk see you and decide to sell this information to the highest bidder.
You can never be too careful, never be too cautious when playing with fire.
Outside of the club, it’s quieter. Baekhyun leads you through a side door, exiting to an alley that’s dark and cool. He wastes no time before pulling you forward, his lips hot as they drag another moan from your throat. Fingers tracing your skin, he bunches your dress higher.
When the fabric hits the top of your thighs, you stifle a gasp. “Baekhyun,” you say, although you don’t try and stop him, “we’re in public.”
“I know.” His teeth graze your ear, his lips and metal on your skin. “I’ll give you a choice.”
Typical Baekhyun. There is always a choice with him, always a game of chance to be played – except for important things, of course. Except with you.
“I’m listening,” you purr, sliding a hand between his legs.
Baekhyun’s expression sharpens. “Option one,” he says, ignoring the way your fingers trace over him. “We go to my place. I’ll have you naked on my balcony.”
Your blood thrums at the thought. It does sound appealing.
“And option number two?” you ask, boldly cupping him over the front of his jeans.
"Option two,” Baekhyun murmurs, sliding his thumb across the top of your lips. “I fuck you right here, right now in my car.”
Heart pounding, you cross your legs to try and conceal your wetness. Recognizing your tell, Baekhyun grins when you nod.
“Option two,” you whisper.
Shoving both hands through his hair, he lets the cut fall and grabs your hand in his. You giggle when he leads you forward, weaving his way through the dark parking lot. His black Lamborghini Miura sits in the first spot, sleek and familiar as Baekhyun clicks the keys from his back pocket.
“Ladies first,” he says with a smirk as he opens the door.
Sliding in, you stare out the window as he walks to the other side. Technically, Miami has a law against tinted front windows, but Baekhyun knows the right people to get around that. His windows are near-impenetrable and from the outside, no one will be able to see.
Baekhyun enters the car, locking the door behind him. Not wasting time, he leans over the console, grasping your face with both hands to tug your lip between teeth. Releasing a growl, Baekhyun rises onto one knee and pulls you closer. His hands roam your body, tracing the curve of your hips, the swell of your breasts. When he brushes a hardened nipple, your legs press tightly together.
“Baekhyun,” you moan, squirming in frustration against the seat of his car. “Please.”
Grasping your hips, Baekhyun tugs until your right leg swings over his console. Settling on top, you grind into his body, relishing when Baekhyun gasps your name in return.
His head hits the seat, eyes fluttering shut when you trail a finger down the groove of his throat. You follow this with your lips, moving lower and lower until you rise and tug at his jacket. Pulling the blazer free, Baekhyun throws it on the ground of the passenger seat.
“It’s times like these,” you grumble, not at all upset, “when I wish you’d just buy a car with a fucking backseat.”
“Where’s the fun in that?” Chuckling, Baekhyun lowers your dress to bare your shoulders. “I like a challenge.”
“And I like fucking my boyfriend,” you say, pulling hard at his belt. This goes flying as well. “Which you’re making especially difficult tonight.”
Baekhyun smirks, his hand fumbling with his seat until it falls backwards. “Better?”
“Much,” you say, pushing him down with a smile. “Now lie still.”
Leaning back, you grasp the ends of your dress with both hands. Shimmying the fabric higher, you wait until Baekhyun sees you’re not wearing underwear underneath.
“Fuck,” he groans, his hands sliding up your thighs. His thumbs hover, just brushing over the sensitive part of your sex.
Pulling your dress higher, you expose your navel, then the underside of your breasts, and then it’s on the floor, with you completely naked. Baekhyun hisses a sound through his teeth, completely awed. His expression makes you feel powerful, knowing such a villainized man is putty in your hands. As you slide your palms lower, his gaze move from your legs to your chest.
“Fuck,” Baekhyun quietly repeats.
“Hands up,” you demand, waiting until he obeys before you tug off his shirt. For a moment you stare before dipping your hands to his waist. “Lift,” you say, waiting until he raises his hips.
He lift you as well, your breath hitching when you feel his hardened cock at your core. His length rubs up against you as you grit your teeth. Yanking even harder, you pull the fabric down.
Baekhyun chuckles as his length is revealed. “What?” Leaning forward, he takes your earlobe between his teeth. “You’re the only one who can’t wear underwear?”
Sliding your hand down his shaft, you thumb at the pre-cum gathered at the tip. Pushing this lower, you feel his hips weighty buck against your palm.
“Easy,” you soothe, scooting forward so he feels how wet you are. “You’ll have to do better if you want to come tonight.”
Meeting your gaze, he tilts his head to one side. Baekhyun pushes his hips up, pressing his cock to your sex.
“So,” he says, one hand anchoring your hips to his, the other between your legs. “You think because I’m hard you can tease me?”
Slowly, you shake your head. “Oh, no, Mr. Byun,” you say, mock-serious. “I would never.” Rocking your hips, you watch him swallow. “I’m completely obedient.”
The corner of Baekhyun’s mouth lifts. “Then,” he says, cocking a brow, “get the condom from the glove compartment.”
His gaze darkens when you lean backwards, your breasts rising as your hips continue to move.
Grabbing the packet from your hand, Baekhyun rips it open and betrays his desire. Rolling it over himself, he comes to a stop. Grabbing your hips and scooting you backwards, he ignores the confused look on your face as he dips his head.
“Spread,” Baekhyun commands, watching your thighs drop to either side.
Now it’s your turn to gasp as he slips a finger inside. Pushing into your wetness, Baekhyun curls before releasing and plunging back in. He starts a steady rhythm, watching you heatedly as your head falls back. Your hips continue to move on their own accord, pressing against his hand until you bolt suddenly upright – shocked into motion by the sound of the horn.
Baekhyun is laughing, even as his fingers refuse to stop. You attempt to glare, torn between pleasure and annoyance as you shimmy from his grasp. Baekhyun frowns, chasing you with his fingers when you lower yourself on him.
“Ah, shit,” he groans, his length buried inside you.
For a moment, you have no snarky comeback to give. He feels too deep, too good like this. Baekhyun starts moving, pushing slowly upwards as you whimper his name.
Reaching down, you place your hands on his chest to steady yourself as you move. You lift yourself higher, not letting him fall out entirely before you settle back down. Baekhyun is rock hard, making you realize how long he’s been wanting this. Arms snaking around your waist, Baekhyun pushes upwards until his chest is flush with yours.
“Baby,” he murmurs, his lips finding yours.
His mouth starts to move with his hips, driving you crazy. He starts an unrepentant rhythm, watching you arch your back, breasts bouncing with each thrust.
Everything is so wet and tight; he’s slowly losing control. Needing you to come, Baekhyun lowers a hand between your legs. He continues to kiss as his hips press against you. Faster and harder until you’re moaning his name in pleasure, tangling your hands in his hair to urge him on.
Cresting the boundary of pleasure, you shudder apart. Gasping his name, this is followed by quite a few swear words.
“Baekhyun,” you moan, collapsing onto his chest as he comes.
With an intake of breath, Baekhyun memorizes the feel of your body on his. Breathing heavily, your arms curl almost lazily around his neck. Baekhyun relishes the moment before kissing your hair, your jaw, your forehead. He pulls back to see you, tracing the side of your face with his fingers.
“Where to next?” you ask, eyes bright.
Baekhyun grins, his thumb brushing your waist. “I didn’t hear no to sex on the balcony.”
"I don’t believe I did. If you’re good,” you say, your grin wicked, “maybe we can try a few other places, too.”

How to Apply Cologne Cologne for guys has been doing use since way back when. In times past, men wore cologne to conceal body odor. Bathing was obviously a luxury a lot of people did not indulge in daily. Today, despite the fact that modern conveniences make daily personal hygiene far more common, man still like cologne, and females want it too! Plus, the huge benefits you obtain when you purchase discount men's cologne online turn it into a ton easier and cheaper to smell good. First impressions mean a good deal. You like your scent, your girl doesn't. What must be done? Let's face the actual fact first that folks vary, the same is true their tastes. When it comes to relationships, it is a must to take a look healthy especially for the guy's side. So what if the perfume isn't right to your girl? Armani is unquestionably one of several top designers of men's fashion as well as cologne. Armani Code is a very masculine and popular fragrance for males. Suitable for both day and evening use, it's guaranteed to please any man that you experienced. If you want to give you a perfume for your mom as well as to special someone who're within their ancient, it is wise to ask them what might be there preferred choice of perfume. Be a keen observant. If you observed that they are fund of fruity smell and lightweight scents of candles, you are able to conclude that sweet and light-weight perfumes are the ones that like essentially the most. It is not always a fantastic substitute for select for probably the most expensive perfume containing sweet and lightweight scent. Staying Comfortable While Staying at Home Was Years in the Making – WWD
https://ift.tt/2zfFc36
For many work-from-home-ers, an 8 a.m. Zoom meeting may only require a T-shirt and a pair of leggings. While there is nothing wrong with that combination, in this current social climate of stay-at-home, the desire to not get dressed for the day is a likely scenario. We are all victims.
Let’s consider this moment where we adopt the wear, rinse, repeat cycle with a familiar group of clothing items that need no introduction or Instagram following. The forerunners include a tank top, T-shirt, leggings, sweatpants — stop. The remainder — caftans, gowns, robes, sleep shirts and pajamas — have been around a lot longer. These minimalist shapes that have been developed in an array of natural fabrics, or chemically innovated ones, embody the definition of “comfort.”
Fashion loves history. With a timeline of discoveries surrounding clothing and human behavior, it is no surprise that the aforementioned items were discovered as early as the Bronze Age. T-shaped items, which evolved into today’s T-shirts, tanks, tunics and tank dresses. T-shaped designs were paired with string-like skirts and “chausses” leg coverings in the 15th century. It is worth noting that leggings, a staple for many staying at home, could qualify as a classic alongside the Little Black Dress and trenchcoat. For many, each of these simple silhouettes have and continue to form the basic civilian wardrobe at work, home and play.
Here is a list that considers the aesthetics of comfort via ready-to-wear collections from the 20th century forward. All prove true that’s what old is new.
• The Short Tunic was paired with short shorts from Zoran’s 1987 resort collection.
• The Night Shirt/Big Shirt was featured in Geoffrey Beene’s spring 1975 rtw collection.
• The Grecian Column was shown by Madame Gres in silk jersey during the Fifties and by Mary McFadden in the spring of 1983.
• The Robe was reimagined by Diane von Furstenberg as the wrap dress in 1972, revisited in 1998 and in many seasons since.
• The House Dress was reimagined in more relaxed versions by Halston in ultra suede for his fall 1973 collection.
• The Tank Dress made an appearance in Calvin Klein’s spring 1991 rtw collection.
• The Long Tunic was featured in Donna Karan’s 1992 Summer Essentials collection.
• The Caftan reemerged in Halston’s 1973 spring rtw collection and in Donna Karan’s 1992 Summer Essentials.
As fashion continues to cultivate ideals based on currents in our social climate, comfort is important to this continuing evolution. Although fashion is on pause, the building blocks for the stay-at-home wardrobe are endless.
It certainly hasn’t always been that way. Deirdre Clemente, who writes and teaches about the meaning of clothing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, noted how for centuries fashion was about being uncomfortable and about body distortion. The shift to more comfortable, less restrictive and body-baring options was partially sparked by the introduction of women’s sports in colleges, the bicycling craze of the Twenties (which allowed for shorts) and the acceptance of women wearing short skirts and no pantyhose in the Sixties, among other factors. Another major factor in the comfort-is-king trend was due to the rise of synthetic fibers, which changed how people fit in their clothes and offered them easy care options, Clemente said. “Not only do we want comfortable clothes, but we want comfortable clothes that don’t require a lot of energy.
“We’ve come to expect clothing to be comfortable in a way that other generations haven’t, because clothes are so individualized and personalized,” Clemente said. “Why should you feel uncomfortable in them as opposed to let’s say 1955, when you have to go out to pick some things up from a store, grab your kid from school and run an errand, and you have to be publicly presentable.”
The changing standard of what is appropriate to wear in public (not that that is currently a pressing concern for many stay-at-homers) is another factor. That shifted partially due to America’s car culture and people being heavier, she said. Many consider the ultra-relaxed looks that they have taken to during the COVID-19 lockdown to be more of a contemporary trend. But a further look back shows the decades long trend, Clemente said.
“I have educated fashion writers say to me, ‘Well, in the Sixties when everybody started dressing down…’I’m like, ‘Um, that’s been going on since the Twenties,’” she said. “There’s this idea that people don’t look back at things. The changing standard of what is comfortable is distracting. What will be comfortable for my kids certainly will be far from the world of what would be comfortable for my mom.”
As for how the current dressed-down trends may alter future ones, Clemente said they could “kill off the last vestiges of formality” that lawyers, hotel managers and some other professionals must adhere to. On a broader scale, she said, “I am sure 150,000 percent that this pandemic will fundamentally change the way Americans dress.”
Ruth Holliday, professor of gender and equality at the University of Leeds, offered another view of comfort in “The Comfort of Identity,” an article that centered on queer people. “What I’ve argued is that it doesn’t really matter what clothes are like if people find them comfortable and they fit their identity. It’s not the physical comfort that matters. Really anything can be thought of as comfortable as long as you feel it expresses who you are,” she said, “Wearing clothes in a particular way is telling other people, who you are. So the discomfort mainly comes from people misreading you or going against your intended expression of yourself.”
Her research has also shown that there tends to be a continuity in a person’s identity at work, as well as at rest and at play. “There was something that carried through the kind of casualwear that you have on slobbing around at home, with the kind of clothing you wear out on-the-town and the clothing that you wear at work. There is some kind of continuity in that because people still want to do something about expressing who they are,” Holliday said.
Like many, Holliday said her WFH dress codes are more comfort-driven but that will change. “I’ve completely stopped making any effort at all really in how I dress. At the moment, I’m wearing a pink fluffy fleece that belonged to my daughter, which is perfect for home working. It’s nice and warm so I don’t have to put the heating on,” Holliday said. “I’m making these very practical choices. Everything that I do is Skype or Zoom or Teams, so people only see me from the neck up anyway. Once I’m back in an office situation, I’ll probably have to go to dressing for that context.”
Post-pandemic, Holliday expects that “the fashion industry is probably going to suffer quite a lot, because obviously people will have a lot less money and [the question] is what they’re going to prioritize that on. There is a sense that fashion will become less of a priority and people might buy fewer outfits,” she said.
But given all the dress-to-impress jokes and the popularity of “Dress Up Friday,” there is a chance that people will emerge wearing their best and most impressive clothes – perhaps even wearing eveningwear to the office, according to Holliday. They may also break out their most casual clothes now that we’ve seen top celebrities, scientists and politicians in sweatshirts and other comfortable clothes. “Maybe they will be alternating between the two,” Holliday said.

Interview: Matt Tyrnauer Lets Us Behind the Velvet Rope in ‘Studio 54’
For 33 months, from 1977 to 1980, the nightclub Studio 54 was the place to be seen in Manhattan. A haven of hedonism, tolerance, glitz, and glamour, Studio was very hard to gain entrance to and impossible to ignore, with news of the celebrities on the dance floor filling the gossip columns daily. Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager, two college friends from Brooklyn, succeeded in creating the ultimate escapist fantasy in the heart of the theater district. Rubell was the outgoing bon vivant who wanted to be everybody’s friend and was photographed with every celebrity who entered the club, and Schrager was the behind-the-scenes creative mastermind who shunned the limelight. Studio 54 was an instant success and a cash cow, but the drug-and-sex-fueled dream soon imploded in financial scandal and the club’s demise. Steve Rubell died in 1989, but now, for the first time, Ian Schrager tells the whole unvarnished story in his own words. Using Schrager’s revelations and a treasure-trove of rare footage shot inside Studio 54, Matt Tyrnauer (Valentino: The Last Emperorand Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood) constructs a vivid, glorious portrait of a disco-era phenomenon, and tells the story of two friends who stuck together through an incredible series of highs and lows. I sat down with Matt Tyrnaeur to discuss his riveting and provocative new documentary.
Danny Miller: I’ve always been so fascinated by Studio 54. Fascinated and a bit repulsed by the  whole velvet rope mystique and knowing I probably never would have been allowed in. But the dichotomy between the exclusivity of the club and its reputation as a “haven for inclusivity and acceptance” is so interesting.
Matt Tyrnauer: It’s a contradictory premise. Andy Warhol said that Studio 54 was a dictatorship and the outside and a democracy on the inside. I think that’s relatively true and that the velvet rope aspect of the place might have been one of the seeds that led to its demise. But there were many seeds including Steve and Ian being completely blinded by success and greed.
At least the exclusion wasn’t just based on the old standard of who was rich enough to get in.
No, not at all. While the premise of the velvet rope may have been inherently undemocratic, they were not choosing the predictable power people in New York. Many of those people, the Rockefellers and the Astors, the denizens of gentlemen’s clubs, and the preppies from the Hamptons were blatantly turned away at the door. These were the establishment people who had always had carte blanche in the city and were not used to being turned away. But Studio also turned away the “B and T” group, the “bridge and tunnel people” who would head to Manhattan on the weekends.
They were snobs and anti-snobs at the same time.
Yes, but there were so many ironies, because Steve and Ian were basically bridge and tunnel people themselves. Their first nightclub was in Queens. I mean, it was FOR the bridge and tunnel crowd! They had cut their teeth on the Saturday Night Fever crowd. But the whole Tony Manero culture had nothing to do with Studio 54. This was a completely different exploitation of disco that was on a different track from the glorification of the outer borough polyester shirt and gold chain kind of clientele.
I wonder what kind of guidelines the people manning the door at Studio 54 were given. If you were a certain type of celebrity, you were obviously getting in, but were they also told to welcome the gay and trans community?
I think the door policy was a bit of a mystery. But look, the whole thing came from underground club culture which Steve and Ian knew about it. This was their swerve from that — they took the energy, the excitement, and the naughtiness of the underground club scene and repackaged and  rebranded it in a way that made them multimillionaires. In a way, they invented the iPhone version of a nightclub! They built a better mousetrap and then rode that rocket into the stratosphere for 33 months.
Steve Rubell (left) and Ian Schrager stand outside the door of Studio 54 in New York City, December 14, 1978. Credit: Photofest.
It seems like they really changed the social fabric of New York at that time.
It’s really astounding, because Steve and Ian were these schlubs from Brooklyn who overnight became the social arbiters of New York. Such a thing was probably not possible until that very moment. Before that, Mrs. Rockefeller was the social arbiter of New York City, but Steve and Ian detected a shift in the culture and they rode that for all it was worth. So one day, the old families of New York are ruling New York, and the next day, Steve Rubell is — with Andy Warhol, who understood the changes that were happening, right at his side.
Seeing how unbelievably successful they were, I’m stunned at the way they crashed and burned. Do you think their downfall was mostly because of greed? Naiveté? Stupidity?
I think it was all of those things. Plus the fact that while all that was happening, society was shifting again during those 33 months.  New York went from being an anarchistic Taxi Driver kind of place to a much more buttoned-down city during this time. In a way, Studio 54 was heralding the recovery of New York from the low depths of the 1970s.
I can’t help but think that they could have avoided most of their troubles if they just weren’t so greedy.
Skimming off the top was pretty endemic at that time, but as the prosecutor in the film said, skim 10 percent, not 80 percent! They were really pigs about it and were still playing by the old rules. I think they sensed that they needed to clean up their act, and Ian told me, it’s not in the film, that they were going to try to make it all right and clean up the books but that they never got a chance to because they were caught.
I wonder if it had just been Ian alone if that would have happened sooner.
We’ll never know. They were all skimming, but it’s true that Ian was more of a businessman. They both got drunk on their own success but Steve was the one shooting his mouth off. Ian didn’t talk to anybody, he was an introvert then and he still is. But Steve talked to everybody. It was one of the charms of Steve Rubell that he treated everyone the same, so he was just as likely to whisper how much money they were making into Calvin Klein’s ear as he was the busboy or his latest trick and who knows where that information was going to go.
I did find Ian Schrager to be a very compelling, sympathetic character in the film. Were you surprised by his honesty?
Well, I’d asked him to be honest and I said I wouldn’t make the movie unless he told me the whole story. Most of what he says in this movie are things he never said before.
When he talks about going to prison, you can just see the agony in his face.
Yeah. He never wanted to talk about that stuff again, which is why he waited 40 years to do it. And then I think he regretted having done it.
Really?
We were fighting for months after he saw the first cut. But one of his adult daughters finally sad, “Dad, everything you object to in this film is the best thing in the film.”
Were you already familiar with his father, “Max the Jew,” and his underworld connections to Meyer Lansky?
No, not at all! On the day he agreed to do the film, Ian whispered to me, “I’ll tell you about my father, I’ve never done that before.”
Do you think his family’s connection to the mob is what allowed Studio 54 to operate without all of their licenses in place?
Well, I don’t think that Studio 54 was a mafia operation, not at all. But I do think that while many nightclubs had to pay “protection,” and even those that did were still vulnerable to the mob, Studio might have gotten a pass because Ian’s father’s friends were probably saying, “Leave those kids alone.” I think they had a kind of nudge-wink from the mafia underworld.
But in the end they seemed to be their own worst enemies, and having the infamous Roy Cohn as their lawyer didn’t seem to help very much.
There was a time when I think Cohn could have gotten them off, but their problems were so complex and always getting worse. I think Roy Cohn gave them bad advice and then Steve went rogue and started implicating the Carter White House in a big cocaine scandal which made the whole thing into a federal case. It was a real mess.
And the times were changing so fast, especially with the advent of the AIDS crisis, that it also seemed like they were some kind of sacrificial offering by politicians.
Studio 54 was the epitome of the culture of decadence and promiscuity that defined the late 1970s that hit a brick wall with the HIV/AIDS crisis. All of that coincided with Steve and Ian’s demise. Looking back on it, it seems like there were these historical forces that merged create a totally different society: the rise of Ronald Reagan and the conservative political movement, a kind of light McCarthyism that policed social mores including the Just Say No anti-drug initiative, and then the unspeakable horror of AIDS which was a tear in the human fabric that was exploited by politicians like Rudy Giuliani who wanted to “clean up” gay culture, close the bath houses, and so on. The country was suddenly imposing a poliltician-driven morality against what people saw as our permissive society. The world seemed to change very quickly.
From left: Liza Minnelli, Bianca Jagger, Andy Warhol, and Halston at Studio 54. Photographer: Adam Scull.
Fascinating. Such a hard right turn. I know you were going for a very different story here, but were you ever tempted to sit down with some of the surviving regulars of Studio 54 like Liza Minnelli or Bianca Jagger?
Yes and no. Bianca is on the record as saying she’d rather die than talk about Studio 54 these days. She’s a human rights activist and doesn’t want to go there. And Liza has spoken about it before but in the end I thought that celebrity interviews would be a kind of trap. I wanted to tell the story of these two men who have this enormous rise and fall. These celebrities who frequented the club were almost a footnote. For me, it’s better to see them in the archival footage such as the Michael Jackson interview in the film than to have a famous person 40 years later not saying much of interest and having the audience pulled out of the film as they sit there and contemplate the plastic surgery the celebrities have had.
The archival footage in the film is just remarkable. Did you find that before you began shooting?
I found out about it after we started but before we started editing. It was several hours of 16 mm. film shot by NYU film students inside Studio 54. The film had never even been processed, it was found in a barn in upstate New York! We processed it and were thrilled by the wonderful footage that we found.
It really made me feel like I was there, even though I never would have been allowed into that damn club! Do you think if Steve Rubell were still alive that he would have participated?
Oh God, yes, if Steve were around, Ian probably wouldn’t have gotten a word in!

80's Style Is Back. Are You Aboard?
I bet you have never satisfied a woman that does not want to alter anything about her body, her appearances or a woman assumes she could not look far better. Initially, you can browse the Net, where you could find just about anything that you are looking for, consisting of details on popular 80s fashion patterns. She wore almost whatever, yet exactly what truly stuck out was her take on grunge fashion-wearing denim on denim, frequently paired with equipped chopped tops. When Kanye West presented the lower vibrant hip-hop design, there was quite a shift of fashion style in hip-hop. If you have the honor of being welcomed to an 80s style event, you might be stuck for concepts on what to use. Michael Jackson's zippered red Beat-It t-shirts were prominent with style danger takers, and romantic ruffled t shirts affected by the New Wave/ New Romantics (a disobedience versus the 1970s punk) were used by Duran Duran, Adam Ant and Person Organization. In the yester years, fashion was constrained just to the stars in the movie or those that were strong enough to lug themselves in the public that they were taken into consideration classy. Tight and also stone washed, (still no stretch in jeans) 80's style is where conical leg jeans actually made their mark, and the design lasted well right into the early 90's. A thin black collar, showcasing a solitary appeal, is the simplest means of fingernailing this 90s fashion trend. With lots of fashion firms focusing on developing light therapy Acne mask, you could be guaranteed of terrific fun. There were actually smileys and also screenshots printed on outfits and tights, matched by a 90s interpretation of 70s glam. Because that minute, every little information contributed to an item of clothes, every innovation, every shot, has actually been taken into consideration style. It was throughout this fashion era that the ultimate girlie appearance created and clothes layouts were characterised by slim cuts as well as straightforward lines. That seems interesting, I don't know if I bear in mind the covered pigtails ... my memory lapses are more constant these days ... lol ... I feel in one's bones that I'm excited for the 80s style, I truly am. China saw its first American style show in 1980, when Halston offered his large collection. In the early 1980s, fashion had actually relocated away from the unclean hippie look and overdressed nightclub design of the late 1970s. The history of fashion is full of imaginative styles, a combination of functionality as well as development.
Tumblr media
And also Chic developed this style by bringing back the 80's style with her elegant shoulder padded Balmain leather coat. Today they are likewise thought to be the most best as well as trendy clothes in the contemporary fashion market. Let us therefore not make the mistake of totally connecting any kind of certain sorts of style with distinctiveness itself. Ok, so maybe this has nothing to do with 80s style aside from the fact that the photo was taking during the years, yet somehow, in between the oversized layers and the analog non reusable cameras, it seems like it belongs on this listing. This bad fashion leaked well into the early 90's and was finally treated by baggy jeans used as well low on the waist, and grunge styles that were a disobedience versus the tailored appearances of the 80's. Obviously, in the darkness of the garments used underneath the white sports footwear must not be forgotten. Unlike girls man haven't obtained sure blind style sense that they bring with them instead they require a plan and also consequently the only herren sonnenbrillen importance that they provide is to the real truth on despite they're showing off is comfy on their body.

CO: Denver International Airport is Working to Become a Destination — with Ice Skating and Goat Yoga — In and of Itself
Jan. 21–On any given day at this Denver landmark, there could be goat yoga, ice skating, beer tasting, live music and fine art.
You might even meet former Broncos quarterback and Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning.
This isn’t some all-inclusive Rocky Mountain vacation or a VIP state tour. It’s Denver International Airport — and in some ways, airports the world over — in the year 2018.
Air travel is surging globally, and DIA and other airports that are spending billions of dollars to lure more flights and revenue are also embracing far-flung ideas designed to make passengers feel less like cattle and ease the stress of flying.
"Airports have changed," said Stacey Stegman, DIA’s vice president of communications, marketing and customer service. "It’s a competitive field for airports. It’s not like … we’re competing for local people to fly out of Denver. We know that we are their hometown airport. But what we are seeing is we compete for people who are connecting, we compete trying to get more flights here. If we’re offering things that are exceptional and more fun, that makes us more appealing."
In the past three or four years, airports around the world have been boosting their amenity offerings — from miniature horse therapy at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, to the movie theater at Portland International Airport in Oregon and nature trails and a planned indoor forest at Singapore’s Changi Airport.
DIA and other airports are busy — and getting busier
More than 60 million travelers started, continued or ended trips at DIA last year, the airport’s busiest ever. And worldwide, air passenger traffic in 2029 is expected to be double what it was three years ago, the Airports Council International says.
Add to that shrinking seat sizes aboard airplanes and more fees, and that’s where stress-reducing amenities can make a difference.
"Having things like a pet pig or a llama, those things give a humanity to the airport and to the travel experience," said Michael Taylor, who analyzes passenger satisfaction for J.D. Power. "Today there is just so many people going through airports — every airport sets a new record each month. There’s just more of a crush of people and the more you can introduce a human element and treat people like humans, that helps with the experience."
DIA and the "art of airporting"
DIA officials say these extras are also a way to lure new airlines and flight routes, create incentives for passengers to connect through Denver and even attract local residents who aren’t getting on a plane.
"Our primary focus is on passengers first," said Stegman. "We want to make sure we are meeting their needs. But if we can be great for the community as well and be a place where they want to come and spend time, that’s a good thing for Denver, and for the whole region."
DIA even has a catchphrase for this all-things-to-everyone approach: "The art of airporting."
These initiatives helped North American airports reach an all-time high in overall passenger satisfaction, according to a 2017 J.D. Power survey of more than 34,000 passengers. Denver ranked fifth among U.S. airports that have 32 million or more passenger visits a year, according to the survey, behind Orlando, Detroit, Las Vegas and Phoenix. (Newark’s Liberty International Airport was at the bottom of that list.)
Grooming another customer: The one who isn’t flying
But in Denver, air travelers aren’t the only people who’ve taken notice of the changes. According to DIA, about 20 percent or more of people who attend special events — such as beer tastings and the temporary ice skating rink — aren’t even there to fly.
Two days after New Year’s Day, DIA’s skating rink outside the Westin Hotel was booming, even at midday.
Lisa Hillman, of Denver, was there with her two sons for their second recent visit. They had no flight to catch but decided it was worth the 20-minute drive from home.
"We thought it was kind of odd at first to come ice skating at the airport," she said as her boys laced up their skates. "But I think the way they have set it up is really nice."
All of these things, of course, come at some cost: The ice rink came in at about $150,000, a limited run for goat yoga cost some $7,100 and uniforms for the Canine Airport Therapy Squad run roughly $130 a piece.
Those tabs are minuscule compared with DIA’s planned $1.5 billion gate expansion and $162 million operations and maintenance contract for the airport’s underground trains. Those are on top of a $650 million terminal building renovation that will significantly change the campus’ layout.
But airport officials say the amenities can more than pay for themselves and note that they are covered by revenues, not tax dollars. For instance, the ice rink had paid sponsorship and goat yoga, DIA officials say, had a $1 million-plus media value.
And the therapy dogs? DIA officials say you can’t put a price on relieving passenger stress.
"You’re definitely seeing a trend across the broader airport community," said Scott Elmore, vice president of communications and marketing for Airports Council International — North America.
DIA’s amenities convey a "sense of place"
Elmore’s trade industry group, of which DIA is a member, recently did a survey of airport amenities and found a sharp rise in recent years. At the top of the list were nursing rooms for new mothers and pet potty areas (Denver’s airport has both.)
"Each airport is going to be doing things that show off their unique sense of place," he said. "The one thing I can say about Denver is they do a great job of showing off what it feels like to be in the Denver area without having to leave the airport."
That includes the booming Root Down restaurant in Concourse C, plans for a Denver Central Market and even a popup business called Yoga on the Fly, where travelers can get a quick zen fix.
"We’ve been really well received," said the yoga shop’s owner, Avery Westlund.
The all-volunteer therapy dog squad might best capture Denver’s character, though, with nearly 100 canines (and one cat) it’s become the largest such airport program in the nation.
Gretchen Dirks’ young poodle Halston was a big attraction as passengers made their way through Concourse A on Jan. 3. As a wave of people stopped to say hello — "Can I touch him?" asked a Mexico City-bound man — Dirks remembered a time when the dog calmed a toddler on the brink of a meltdown.
"It’s a great way to kind of give back," Dirks said.

Calling the current occupant of the White House a racist is neither a distraction, nor an unfair assessment. He has, since a very young age, made his feelings known. Spot on, Mr. Oyler! Intellectually dishonest describes what the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is.The NPVRC’s proponents want to do an end run rather than work hard and persuade 2/3rds of both houses of Congress and 3/4ths of the states to approve the popular vote, .I’m in favor of the popular vote, but I understand the history of the 1787 constitutional convention, the wrangling between the small-population states and the large-population states, and the grand compromise that emerged. The debate between small states and large states continues to this day, and the small states’ concerns are valid, IMO.If I’m doing my math right, there have been 57 presidential elections since the US Constitution was ratified. Of those elections, Wikipedia says in only 4 elections (1876, 1888, 2000, and 2016) has the popular vote differed from the electoral vote. That’s less than 10%.The fact liberals don’t like Trump is no reason to play fast and loose with the rules.Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both knew the electoral college ground rules. They both had seasoned advisors. If Trump’s campaign picked up more but smaller states and Clinton picked up fewer but larger states, and Trump won, that’s the way the game was played. Perhaps Clinton should not have considered her blue firewall to be so solid.Maybe advocates of the popular vote for president consider theirs to be a losing cause, and therefore want an end run. I’d suggest they simply fight harder in 2020.
