Yo, just curious, but do you have any Broppy (or just Trolls in general) Hogwarts AU headcannons?
Sure, I got plenty.

Buuuuuuut, I’m gonna give some more because I’ve been thinking about this AU again.
Branch is a muggle born. Well, kind of. Rosiepuff was a squib and while his Dad KNEW about the magical world, he wasn’t a wizard himself and expected their magical line to stop there. Branch and his mom were totally in the dark about magic. But Branch didn’t get his letter until they were all gone and he was in foster care.
At first, he didn’t even want to go. This was all unfamiliar and quite frankly, sounded pretty dangerous. But he agreed eventually, once he realized this was probably this best option he was getting. Branch was a pretty short tempered child and had a very hard time controlling his magical abilities. He was an outcast both at school and at home, because of it. At least at Hogwarts, he would be taught how to control it and hopefully fit in like a normal person.
Poppy is a pureblood and the daughter of the Minister Of Magic, so she’s pretty much adjusted to the magical life. Her Dad is thankful when she FINALLY gets her letter because good God, he loves her but she’s a handful. She’s a pretty hyper kid who’s magic is always turning shit backways and upside-down. He at least likes to think of it as a sign that she’s gonna be a very powerful witch one day.
Poppy’s also a talented quidditch player, she’s definitely got the energy for it. But, she knows that Hogwarts restricts first years as players so she can’t play YET. Doesn’t stop her from packing her broom so she can zoom around the pitch in her free time. Also, when she went shopping with Peppy for her books, she had quite the dilemma as she wanted a cat, a toad AND an owl but her Dad had to draw the fuckin line there. She wound up with an owl so she’d be able to write letters. Probably an abnormally fluffy guy with a ridiculous name. Dude, what if Poppy was a metamorphmagus? Like, that would explain the pink hair anyway. Yeah, Poppy’s a metamorphmagus now.
Creek’s a half-blood. His Dad was a wizard and his mum was a muggle. He left before Creek was born, and though his mum was very much aware of her husband’s magical abilities, did not tell Creek until he got his letter. She just let him carry on, pretending not to believe him when he swore he made that book float across the room. As a result, Creek was very frustrated throughout most of his childhood that his mum would never believe him and once she finally revealed she knew the whole time, he gets even madder. Now, he doesn’t even know if he can fucking trust her or not.
But yeah, Creek gets a cat in Diagon Alley. He didn’t originally want an animal at all but he saw the cat’s face in the window and surprisingly bonded with it. Tbh Creek probably cares more about his cat than he cares about most people. I think I mentioned in one of the earlier asks that Creek tries out for quidditch just for the popularity and even though I’ve changed him to a muggle upbringing, I’ll still stand by that. He trains himself during the first summer after Hogwarts. But tbh, I don’t even think Creek ENJOYS quidditch at all. He doesn’t give a shit. He just wants people to like him and he’ll do anything to reach that point.
Poppy finds Branch in his empty compartment on the Hogwarts express and being the little social butterfly that she is, makes the effort to introduce herself and get to know him. Branch, being the little grumpy bear that HE is, doesn’t converse with her very well. She keeps turning her nose into a duck beak and making animal noises and overall just annoying the shit out of him. To Poppy, this is just how you make people laugh if all else fails. They bicker a bit. Poppy is fully convinced that she has made a new friend and Branch is just determined to stay as far away from this batshit insane girl, as possible. (Bitch good luck with that.)
Branch is a pretty damn good student. Like damn, while he’s not as good as Hermione, he comes pretty fucking close. He excels at History Of Magic and Care of Magical Creatures in particular and is also pretty competent at Defence Against The Dark Arts. He soaks up knowledge pretty quickly and his spell pronunciation is perfect. He does struggle a bit with Charms and Transfiguration tho.
Meanwhile, Poppy is quite the opposite. While she is undoubtedly magically talented, she’s something of a late bloomer with getting her spells to work. She has a hard time paying attention in class and as a result, doesn’t grasp a suitable spell casting technique for quite a while. It does take a lot of concentration after all. But once she and Branch stop arguing, he does help her with her spells and she can finally really shine. I like to imagine Poppy is very good with nonverbal spells so she becomes a pretty good dualist as she gets older, even surpassing Branch’s level. She’s definitely a lot better at Charms and Transfiguration than Branch is too. Also, she’s fantastic at Divination but that’s mostly because she can string nonsense stories out of nothing, which the professor just eats up.
(This is a fun AU, guys.)
