I can’t find a single review of “Tarot” by Æther Realm that talks about how the songs themselves translate to the cards. I Do Not Care about musicianship, drums make brain go brr, I want to talk about how the lyrics are like the darkest possible interpretation of the Fool’s Journey and how “The Sun, The Moon, The Star” is like the climax of the story wrapping up and how “The Magician” and “The Fool” turn the album into a cycle of self-fulfilling prophecy and how the narrator is my new blorbo as a result because I’m a sucker for boys in pursuit of their lost honor

#melodic this influences that Can we talk about the relationship between the narrator’s story and The Magician and The Fool??#the fool hasn’t begun his journey yet he’s nothing but possibility #the magician has completed his study and is now a breath away from creating his Magnum Opus #they’re right next to each other but they’re opposing ends of a spectrum between Nothing and Everything #(yes I know The World is everything but the Fool doesn’t become the World. the Fool becomes the Magician after culminating his journey)#(and the World sends him back to where he began)#(and he meets himself right after he took that first step on his path)#the narrator goes off on a journey seeking honor and glory and he becomes the lich wizard threatening his land #aether realm #I know shit balls about music composition but those 3 songs never fail to give me chills
