So uh, speaking of leaks... (part 2)

On a Discord server, @kyrilu pointed out two more Vimeo links of people reading for Shadows scenes in s4. I’m posting them with permission. Unlike the other leak provided, these are still up and able to be viewed by whoever. (Please don’t bother the people who auditioned, or anyone in the Shadows cast/crew, or do anything that could lead to these getting a takedown like the other leak apparently did.)

Since I've seen people questioning how real any of these are, I don't know about the first leak (the Freddie one) since we don't have actual video and only a clip of audio, except that @kyrilu seems like a very nice person who is familiar with looking up industry stuff and who also found these other vids. (Which are easily found btw, literally just search wwdits on Vimeo.)

But these other videos they also pointed out seem completely legit. These are real people clearly reading from audition sides, they give their names and heights etc etc, they're from around 3 months ago which is when they'd be casting/shooting for smaller parts. There's a video on Vimeo that's from a year ago with someone reading for Contessa Carmilla, and those lines are similar to or identical to the lines we actually got in A Farewell. I agree the dialogue to the Freddie one feels kind of 'off', but these two scenes also feel perfectly in character and in line with the show's humor.

I transcribed the first link here and gave my thoughts. Now I'll be transcribing/doing meta about the second one which is...y'all. This isn't a plot spoiler but what's going on in these scenes, I am even more excited for this Nandermo-wise than I am about the first leak that sent everyone spiraling earlier. I love this. I love everything about this SO MUCH.

As before, I’m going to reference 'Reader’ for person reading the other lines and 'Actor’ for the person screen testing since it’s not always clear who the reader is reading for when there are more than two people in the scene. I’ll speculate/give a name of what character it seems to be when I can.

SCENE ONE:

ACTOR (Richie Suck): (playing with a video game controller, BIG yawn, pause) I'm okay.

READER (Tom): I said you're too tired, Master. We talked about this! She's not paying enough for you to give so much of yourself to people who don't love you.

READER (I mean I can't confirm this but it's Nandor, right? it NEEDS to be Nandor): Richie, who is this jackass?

ACTOR: It's my familiar Tom.

READER (please let this be Nandor): And you let him speak to you in this way?

READER (Tom): I take care of my master. He's been traumatized by the music business.

READER (Nandor?): Begone, familiar. I am not speaking to you. This is a vampire-only discussion. Right, Richie?

ACTOR: (angrily) Tom protects me from myself! You need to be more respectful!

READER (Nandor?): (gasps) I should respect Familiar Tom?

(Richie nods empatically)

READER (Tom): Doctor Tom.

(Richie mouths for emphasis, 'Doctor Tom')

SCENE TWO:

(Richie is standing holding a microphone, his eyes are closed pensively and he nods a few times)

READER (could be Nandor? or Tom here really): Remember what I said, be yourself.

(Richie gives them a thumbs up, slaps his chest twice, steps forward and waves his arm in a horizontal chopping motion before raising the mic)

ACTOR: Thank you all for coming out. I've been away for a while, and well, it's been a journey. So before I start the show, I'd like to bring out a man that's been important to this whole part: my familiar! Dr. Tom Schmidt!

READER (Dr. Tom): Thanks, Richie. First of all-

ACTOR: Hold up! Now, me and Dr. Tom decided I should be more (waves a hand) authentic, so we collaborated on a bunch of new songs with (indicating someone) Jasmine Three here.

(READER as audience boos)

ACTOR: But guess what? We ain't doing none of those songs.

(Audience cheers)

READER (Dr. Tom): Listen, Master...

ACTOR: Hey, hey, I'm done listening to you. Somebody come eat this bitch.

(Audience cheers)

ACTOR: Now, who wants to hear me do my thing? (audience cheers) Who wants to hear my tell my truth? (cheers) Who wants to hear some shit from Richie Suck that they ain't never heard before? (cheers) Who wants to hear me do some observational comedy?

(Audience boos)

ACTOR: Like, have you ever been flying around as a bat, and get hit by a drone, and think (looks scandalized) damn, the robots are after us? READER (some fan maybe?): Richie Suck, courageously working without a net, that's what makes his life experience so fuckin' irreplaceable.

READER (Nandor maybe?): Yes, maybe just sing some hits, Richie.

ACTOR: Nah! That was the old Richie! You told me to tell my truth! My truth is observational comedy. Y'all never notice how grandmas say (old lady voice) 'do you have a girlfriend?' and I be like 'bitch, if I had a girlfriend I wouldn't be visiting you, would I?' Huh? (mic drop)

I love him. I love that his name is Richie Suck. I love that Dr. Tom is basically Dr. Dre. I love that Dr. Tom was trying to help him be more authentic while not torpedoing his career, and he throws the poor guy over in the most stone-cold way to do the worst standup on earth.

I feel like it's definitely Nandor in that first scene, and who encourages Richie to 'tell his truth'. I figure we're going to get at least one subplot, if not full-on episode, of Nandor traveling alone and figuring shit out; it's too good a concept and too big of a character development thing to not explore it at least a little. And this is everything I want from it, right down to seeing different examples of vampire-familiar relationships than we have in the past.

I love the idea of Nandor freshly hurting from being 'stood up', reverting to his old imperious bullshit about vampire-only conversations, and being told to cut that shit out because Richie's familiar takes care of him ("and you can take care of me") and protects him from himself ("I just want to protect you from yourselves").

And I'm 100% speculating here, but the sheer potential of Nandor going 'well clearly he's just holding you back, speak your truth, tell your story, eat prey love!' and finding that no - Richie's impulses are fucking terrible and Tom absolutely did care about him, and protect him, and these people don't really love him for who he is, and Tom did, and fuck, Nandor misses Guillermo so much.

Like I don't know if the Freddie leak is real or not, honestly, but if we're getting this and then we're getting Guillermo trying to find relationships outside the household? Even if we're not getting the other leak, the way an entire subplot of Nandor's travel alone is to realize just how much Guillermo does and how much Guillermo means to him?

Guillermo is Nandor's love story. Guillermo is the love Nandor has already found. We're gonna get our asses fed and I am so freaking excited.

im literally going to talk about all of these so im sorry but read more at your own risk

one: skeppy, i am so sorry a mf does this to you. but seriously, i can only think of a few reasons (that dont sound entirely made for fanfic) that bad keeps putting off meeting skeppy 

1. (the most unlikely) theyve already met and they keep the bit going so the fans dont find out. i can get that they wouldnt want to tell at first because its their own business, but i seriously doubt they would wait very long to confirm it, because ppl honestly can put a lot of pressure and hype on the meetup (esp with skeppy’s “surprise”) so i think theyd release something just so everyone knew that it finally happened! they didnt lie!

2. bad just doesnt want to meet skeppy (actually nvm this is the most unlikely) 

bad seems to be genuinely excited to meet skeppy, even claiming skeppys the one to keep putting it off, not him (which skeppy immediately disproved but) and saying over and over he wants to meet up with him, but always avoiding actually making plans (every single tweet about the meetup) so its clear he does want to meet skeppy eventually, which makes trying to figure out why he wont even harder

3. its not the right time/ waiting for a specific date

leading up to this, i was thinking that there was a pretty good chance theyd meet up on their anniversary, but that never happened rip. the issue is with this is that they guaranteed they would meet up before the end of the year, and at this point theres only one “event” left, but they still dont seem to have any plans to meet. if bad was waiting for the perfect time to do it, why not just tell skeppy to confirm a meetup date? it would get him (and maybe the fans, if they told them) off his back. another variant of this is that there is a set date, but they havent told the public, but again, skeppy seems to be just as much in the dark about this as everyone else

4. health issues 

bads apparently been feeling pretty under the weather lately, with his arm and kidney stones, its very plausible (and reccomended, imo) that bad doesnt want to travel when hes having these problems. of course, skeppy could visit, but he could either not want to spend their time together sick or the plans they have could also be too straining. i think this is probably one of the most likely atm, go see a doctor bbh im begging you

5. bads nervous

this is also one of the more plausible to me. for whatever reason, bads just anxious about it, whether it wont be the same as talking online, or be super awkward or whatever, he could just keep putting it off for that (its still weird and kinda doesnt make sense but in a more realistic way this time)

i know i totally went off track but this brings me to my point, skeppys kinda just waiting for bads confirmation at this point, so seeing his friends have fun meeting up is probably just lowkey depressing and i could see him using it as more the reason they should meet up. really the only thing he can do in this situation(at least, as far as i can tell) is what he has been doing, annoy bad about it or he take advantage of bads jealousy and meet up with someone else. the other option is to randomly come to his house, but it doesnt seem like skeppy is gonna do that, maybe to respect his boundaries? if he was planning on it i think he wouldve done it by now

OKAY NUMBER TWO LETS GO

this kinda ties into my point in the “reasons why bad wont meet skeppy” thing, that bad seems really excited to meet him yet still wont?? its clear he really values any time spent with skeppy, but he also make sure skeppys having a good time too! that why he never does any actual work with skeppy around (i.e. building statues or gathering materials for such), he knows its boring so instead theyll wander around the server telling stupid stories or punching each other off stairs for 20 minutes. im sure itll be the same irl, he mentioned wanting to meet somewhere like a nature reserve or amusement park, probably to make sure theres never a dull moment or time wasted. dinner seems much more low-key, and i wouldnt be surprised if bad just wanted to have an excuse to try and impress him with a nice totally-platonic date

they really do be the best of friends! ive noticed that skeppys def been trying to halt arguments fairly quickly now, saying a lot to appease bad and move on, and while bad seems to like to start fights for fun, hes also been a lot more chill lately, im guessing because hes been oh-so desperately missing skeppy and big s was also in Baby mode (aka if bad disagreed with him hed probably just cry until he got his way((sand))) i think that vid just showed them being a lot more natural and happy to talk (plus bad usually is more argumentative when theyre competing, while in that vid they were either just hanging out or working towards a common goal)

where to even BEGIN with discount skeppy. well, bad actually first came up this idea a few months ago, in either july or august on an idots smp stream when he crafted an ‘artificial skeppy’ in his snack shack that he could talk to whenever skeppy was gone. as we all know idots smp is now rip, but the idea of replacement skeppys remained, just this time they can talk and also ship skephalo. it actually seemed like more of puffys idea at first when she put on skeppys skin as a joke, which bad didnt like the first few times, but when she brought it up again he actually requested it (missing skeppy brainrot 🤔?) this could be either cuz bad wanted to bait some shippers so gave in or he thought it was a pretty funny bit so went along with it (or he actually missed skeppy that much.. surely not ??) either way i think we can agree puffy is not only a comedic genius but a top tier friend and slight wingman, and getting some good jealous skeppy content out of it is also top tier. in conclusion, love and appreciate discount skeppy, badboyhalo has only skeppy on his brain and his friends have to deal with that, hoes (skeppy) mad even though the whole bit is how much bbh is into him

What, can be said, about ride with u. GODDAMN. im not tryna insinuate anything, but if someone told me that song reminded them of me i would have no choice but to marry them immediately. i really really want someone to ask bad what songs remind him of any of his other friends (dream, sapnap, george, ant, puffy, etc.) because there are three options

1. theyre just cool platonic friend songs and bad is just in love with skeppy

2. he cant think of any songs for them and bad is just In Love with skeppy

3. they have equal romantic undertones and bad is just Like That with his friends (even so i bet people would be picking out the most minute differences between the songs that make one more.. You Know than the other) 

i know FOR SURe that if i was in bads position (where even the person who made the lyric video assumed they were gay in love) i wouldve curled into a ball and never made another public appearance again, but he really owned that shit, singing it and making unprompted references to it (”i already have a bonnie” YOU AINT SLICK SIR WTF) 

i just wanna know if skeppys listened to it (i mean, hes surely at least heard of it, i know he wouldve seen it all over his timeline) and what he thonks about it. pls tell us big s do you also feel the love in this chilis tonight (ALSO when is someone gonna ask skeppy what song reminds him of bad. im waiting ((hed probably say something like a faster remix or something equally memey (((unless???)))

Story you were nervous to post: To be honest, I was personally mortified at the thought of sharing Whispers Within with anyone, and I nearly died when I tentatively shared the first chapters of the WIP with my SO. The reasons are complicated, but at the time I was going through some internalised shame re: writing fanfic for anything, let alone something a child might stumble onto on account of it being a family friendly franchise, and also that good ol’ fear of being known. HOWEVER it turned out that my SO literally didn’t figure it was fanfic until they were already emotionally invested in the characters and my mortification was for naught, so now it’s a funny story I will forever cherish. But I am nervous to post every chapter because fluffy romance stuff literally isn’t my comfort zone to write, despite having enjoyed the sub-genre for years as a reader.

How do you choose you titles: ‘Whispers Within’ is actually a shortened version of ‘Whispers Within the Heart/Soul’ and an alternative translation of ‘Kúlañesta Èmayonata Sameu,’ the Mahomai (conlang in fic) phrase that means ‘I love you.’ [Yes, I really am that cheesy.] For my changeling fic I am probably going to with ‘Under the Sun’ which is a reference to the Lord of the Lost song by the same name that happens to have the most JO relevant lyrics you can possibly imagine.

Do you outline: Yes I outline, because my memory is absolutely shit. For this reason I’ve started including the songs I was listening to when I was inspired to come up with the scene because it helps me get into that headspace when words aren’t enough to help me find the spark. How many of your fanworks are…

Complete: None, but Whispers Within is four chapters away from being completed and scheduled to be be fully published by the end of November 2019.

On 4/23/2017, "going to kevins" was uploaded to the SilentDork channel. Let's go over what we see in the video.

First off, we can assume that this happened to Tyler a while back, so whatever danger he faces in this video is no longer a threat to him. In his video "Update june 23rd: More to come", he stated that he was going to upload some videos he took himself. Judging by the timestamps in both the descriptions and the video itself, we can assume that this was uploaded by Tyler himself, not some malicious spirit. 

The description reads: 

"oct 11th 2015 never made it shouldnt have went outside shouldnt have opened the door they got me"

October 11th 2015 was the day Tyler uploaded "going to" on his channel. In this video, he visits JohnIsDead. The site tells him to go to Kevin's house, which he agrees to do before the video cuts off. It appears that we're finally seeing exactly what happened when he arrived in this most recent video. The tags of the 2015 video read “blood moon ritual ground I’ll see you soon Harbingers Link,” This might help clue us in to what exactly we're seeing.

Onto the newest video's contents.

We start off seeing what seems to be a dark room. Possibly somewhere in Kevin's house? We faintly see Jadusable's video of Rosa overlay the current vid. In the background, we hear "Who's That Knocking At My Door?" playing in reverse very softly. This is often considered Doug's theme song, as it usually accompanies him. Right on cue, we hear some spooky noises as the video cuts to a faint picture of Doug smiling at the camera.

Doug then appears and does a jumpscare before the video switches to someone holding a sign saying, "She told you not to open it." This is clearly another reference to Jad's Rosa videos, wherein one of Rosa's predictions was simply "Don't open it." After this, we see a faint image of Rosa before the video cuts once again to a different figure. This figure is very hard to make out, as we can only see what appears to be the mouth, but judging by the red coloring, we can guess it's Kevin.

After this, we hear a very quiet and staticy voice saying something. By raising the volume in a video editing program, we can make out this: "We need to lock him up. But ???????? first. Just don't let him kill himself."

The video cuts to some unknown date in 2015. Tyler appears to be locked in some sort of server room. Tyler says: "This place is so fucking huge. ????. I don't know who the fuck these people are. Hey, at least I found my fucking phone. Now if I can just find a fucking exit. What the fuck is this shit?" 

We then see Tyler filming in some sort of dark room in front of a strange light. In the background we can hear what sounds like drums and some chanting. Tyler begins talking again: "Okay... I managed to find something like a fuckin' lamp... This is the only light... This is the only lamp(?). I wanna know what the fuck these people are doing in here, it's dark as shit... I think the exit might be through this way." 

The video cuts to Tyler walking around in a dark room. "It's always so fucking dark... I don't think anyone's in here. Not gonna risk turning the light on though. I think I'm almost out... What the fuck is this fucking... fuck fuck fuck... I'm going in fucking circles... Damn it, it's so fucking dark. I'm fucking walking through walls or some shit. My eyes are fucking playing tricks on me cause I'm fucking teleporting or some shit through all these fucking rooms cause I keep seeing the same shit again and again-"

The video abruptly cuts once more. Tyler is now looking outside through some kind of metallic door or grate. "Oh wait, wait, what? What the fuck? Fuck it, fucking solid metal fucking door! It's fucking-" Tyler is then cut off by a loud distorted voice as the video corrupts. The voice appears to say: "HURRY, STOP TYLER/THE(?)" It is a bit difficult to make out. Judging by how the video turns green while this entity speaks, we can guess that it is Doug, since he is always associated with the color green. The video then cuts to black as Tyler yells.

We once again hear a staticy voice like before. It appears to say: "[????] Did you get Douglas up here? ...Good. Take the Harbinger's Link to the interrogation chamber. I have a few questions-" The first part of this is very difficult to make out. I think it may be in Spanish, but we aren't sure. As we know, the Harbinger's Link is Tyler.

After this we see what resembles lights moving overhead, perhaps this represents Tyler being dragged somewhere and we're seeing his point of view? 

We then see where Tyler was taken - some sort of freezer. "J-jokes on you, I happen to fuckin' like the cold..." The video cuts to Tyler banging at the icy wall. "Fucking pricks, let me out... let me out..." The video cuts again to the ventilation fans in the freezer. We can hear a distorted voice when the camera is focused on the left fan. The voice is backwards - reversing it, it says "You're wasting your battery." Tyler then looks at the other fan and says: "Maybe I can get out through these vents..."

The video cuts to Tyler looking at the freezer door while we hear some more backwards voices. Reversing this, it says: "Really, you should listen to yourself. Just this once." This voice sounds like Tyler's. We then see Tyler laying on the floor in pain, the cold clearly starting to get to him. There is one final video cut as we see someone grab Tyler off the floor by his hair.
