someone said 'movies have gotten really lazy about the visual part of the medium and are basically just audio dramas' and i would extremely disagree because the audio also fucking sucks.
#sound ppl talk all the time about not being respected on set and the lack of proper mic-ing#and like every other day theres a new thread abt how its impossible to watch anything w/o CC cause dialogue is mixed so badly#id argue that visuals are still. considered the most important thing in films its not 'laziness' or not caring about visuals in specific#the problem is that big studios are allaround uhhh cheap. and overworking their laborers.#and trying to maximize profits on Event Movies rather than focusing on the actual craft of making something good.#so literally every aspect of filmmaking is being tossed to the side except for whatever they need to do to make money.#(which increasingly seems to be marketing gimmicks and buying big name stars. thats the only thing they arent lazy about)#avpost
