Butler... a man so morally Weird. When he's thinking about an individual in the abstract, rather than as a specific person, he's capable of being so callous, such as automatically breaking the hand of a pickpocket in AF, being willing to abandon the People in TLC if it means putting Artemis at risk of capture, and so on. Yet when he's forced to consider his connection to someone in its specificity, such as comforting Minerva after the incident in Taipei or refusing to double-cross Holly after the healing in the siege, he has such tenderness to him.
