I've had an epiphany about my masters. I'm not gonna do bioinformatics. It's not for me, I can't see myself doing it for the rest of my life. I really don't want to. It fills me with dread. SO, I'm going back to my first idea, the reason for me wanting to study biology in the first place. Marine microbiology!! The thing I have added though is that I'll take some bioinformatic courses along with it to be ✨️extra✨️(let's not forget I've already taken bioinformatic courses)
#also the reason i went away from marine biology#was...the rotten fish i dissected#it TRAUMATISED me for TWO YEARS#making me completely doubt my ability to study marine biology#BUT hehehe I can just skip the disgusting dissection and go straight to microbiology!!#heheheheheh#the second reason i stopped dreaming about marine microbiology was I was scared I wouldnt be able to get a job#BUT when I add my part specialisation in bioinformatics and statistics#that opens a lot more doors#ALSO hehe my uncle is an emeritus in arctic marine biology he has connections#and i shouldnt choose smth based solely on the fact that I want to have a job#i should also choose it based on what I want to do for the rest of my life#and that's what im gonna do#nonsims
