#I was sooooo patient trying to capture this #even then it was dumb fucking luck #this one defo gets its own post #addition fun facts abt this night:#I left my driver's side car window down the ENTIRE storm and did not notice. nothing damaged but I have a stinky seat :(#however a stinky seat is the small humbling moment at the end of a phenomenal experience enjoying the storm from my small cave-like patio #so I sat outside enjoying the rain. me n my bong. and also a mogwai album. eyes closed. just sounds and my own deep breathing - peaceful #lighting would streak the sky and I could see the bolts through my closed eyelids - they were bright and crisp; defined. even if obscured #everything just snapped into place. the lightning and the music had moments of perceived synchronization - probably pareidolia #waves of euphoria radiating out from the base of my skull. full goosebumps. momentous feeling - I must've been manic #when I opened up my eyes the world had gone from being heavy and dark to just. red. so red. like a wildfire on the entire western horizon.#my driveway doesn't come with a glamorous view either. it was just that the entire western hemisphere was flame-red fading into eigengrau #i have those photos too lmao - will be sharing soon #my art #aesthetic #art #artwork #webcore #glitchcore #internetcore #photography #original photography #nature photography #lightning #storm #rain aesthetic #stormy aesthetic #dark aesthetic #surreal aesthetic #surrealcore

Li Lianhua isn't so much haunted or loved by the narrative as he IS the narrative. He's the young hero he's the cyptic mentor he's the disappearing lover. The story revolves around his life until it doesn't. At the end we're left with the same question that Fang Duobing and Di Feisheng have to ask: what happens to the rest of the story when the narrative is gone?

WHAT #like you could argue he doesn't realise his attacks are fatal bc he's just blinded by temper and his mission #like he's never directly gone 'kill that guy!' so for various reasons on certain planes the procedure is that both pilots put one hand on the thrust lever during takeoff, and this can be practical and safe for many reasons, but in some of the classic dramatic mayday/air crash investigation/air disaster reenactment scenes they don't explain this because it's not very relevant but they still have their actors act it out, so you get things like this bewildering little one second shot mid takeoff routine of a (clearly married!! scandalous!!) co-pilot suddenly reaching over to hold his captain's hand, and divorced from all context it's just very. what if we held hands in the cockpit 😳 (and we were both pilots)

haha just kidding. unless....

#ALSO though: what if we were both actors hired for mayday air disaster reenactment scenes #and the script told us to hold hands!!! frankly i think this needs to be a new fanfic trope #falling in love while doing the star trek shake as you're pretending to fall out of the sky. etc etc #*#to be clear. i would not joke about the deeply horrifying things the very real people behind these stories have gone through #but there's inherently something both gruesome and goofy about elaborately reenacting those things. especially on a show like this #there's a passenger actor in the same episode as this hand holding screenshot with a mustache that looks EXTREMELY glued on

#bwark #god i'm fucking trying to have some kind of epiphany here where i can have it all click and be like ''even if i have my problems i can still #get enjoyment out of it'' but this game makes it so damn difficult #''i can discuss the story'' wait nope can't. story sucks ass and butt #''what about the exploration? that was the best part of botw'' uh no can't do that when the surface is practically the same and there's no #substance to the sky or the depths #''gameplay?'' i don't like ultrahand. which sucks when that's 90% of the gameplay #i respect the work that must've gone into it and the creativity it's drawn from fans but making one gameplay aspect literally ALL YOU DO #runs the risk of alienating people who can't get behind #and sure other zelda games have their gimmicks but it's different #like take tp for example. i get that the wolf mechanic isn't for everyone. but aside from the early game twilight sections and a few sparse #puzzles in the later game you're never really forced to play as wolf so it doesn't overstay its welcome #god i just remembered that totk turned wolf link into meat chunks. another thing they took from us 😔#actually on that genuinely why couldn't they just bring him back?#like you're reusing a ton of shit from botw anyway??#which brings me back to my main point is that anything that isn't new is just. botw again #shrines are back but they're uglier. dungeons are the divine beasts but in a new coat of paint #why did they add more shrines to the game anyway? like you'd think they'd at least lower the number because fans didn't want them to return #the SINGULAR leg up i can think of id the bosses. yeah i love botw and i'll hold my hands up and say that a lot of the common complaints for #it don't bother me personally but yeah the blights absolutely sucked #divebombing colgera with the dragon roost theme playing was the closest thing that this game came to giving me an experience #okay i'll shut up now I'M GOING TO BE NICE EVEN IF IT KILLS ME
