“Maybe I’m just crazy.” Johnlock 😊😊
I don’t know why I’m like this but I am so here you go
John burst into the coffee shop, crumpling his makeshift umbrella newspaper and tossing it in the nearest bin, the freak fall rainstorm soaking into his soaks as he walked up the black strip of carpet toward the register. There was a small line—two people between him and the counter—and he sighed, tugging up the sleeve of his emerald green jumper to check the time.
Fifteen minutes until class. He could make it.
The first customer moved aside, the man in front of him stepping up to the cash, and John tugged his backpack around to the front, fishing for his wallet when a familiar voice froze his fingers.
“Large coffee, black, two sugars.”
He looked up, scanning from the crown of tousled brown curls to the sweeping hem of the long wool coat, believing his eyes even less than his ears.
“Light, medium, or dark roast?” the cashier asked, followed by a lengthy pause.
“Medium,” the man said with no degree of certainty, the cashier nodding and bowing her head to the buttons, John’s tongue running away from him as coins clinked into the palm of her hand.
“Sherlock?”
The man turned, familiar steel blue eyes blinking puzzledly.
“John?” he said, gaze sweeping over him, John hoping against hope there weren’t any obvious stains on this pair of jeans. “What are you-”
“You can pick that up at the end,” the cashier broke in, bobbing her head toward the lip at the far edge of the counter, and Sherlock turned back around, blearily stepping aside as the girl weaved her head to look around his shoulder. “What can I get you?”
“Er,” John murmured, tearing his eyes away and stepping up to the register, Sherlock hovering awkwardly a few feet away, “latte. Small.”
She nodded, inputting the order and handing him his change, and John tossed it hastily into his pocket, shuffling to Sherlock’s side.
“So,” he chuckled, rocking back on his heels, hands tucked into his pockets, “come here often?”
“What are you doing here?” Sherlock asked, blunt as ever, but John supposed it was a comfort in this day and age to know some things never changed. “I thought you joined the army.”
John swallowed, all his imagined versions of this conversation abandoning him when he needed them most. “I, er...got a scholarship,” he muttered at the floor, Sherlock’s silence pounding against his eardrums.
“And didn’t tell me?”
The soft question landed heavy, and John winced, lips parting as he lifted his chin.
“I-I thought it’d be better to just...leave it be.”
“Better,” Sherlock snipped, “or easier?”
“Sheldon!”
Sherlock turned around, scanning the name on the cup and dragging it off the counter with a sigh. “Every time,” he grumbled, and John smiled, not sure he was allowed to laugh at the moment. Sherlock stared down at his coffee, teeth pinching at the corner of his lip, and then shook his head, as if rattling something loose. “So,” he muttered, eyes peering over the lid of his cup as he lifted it to his lips, “where’d you get this scholarship?”
John blinked up at him, but, after four years, Sherlock’s face had returned to being unreadable, a bitter—but deserved—pill to swallow. “Barts,” he replied, and then started, glancing down at his watch as his latte thumped down on the counter. “Shit,” he hissed, looking up at Sherlock’s quirked brow. “I have an exam,” he said, collecting his drink, eyes darting to the door. “I-I have to-”
“Go,” Sherlock finished, nodding down at his drink, a piece of his mask chipping away to reveal a sad curl of his mouth, and John’s heart bounced against his shoes before sinking through the floor, marvelling at the horrors of full circles.
“I-I’m sorry, I-”
“It’s fine,” Sherlock said, shaking his head and stepping back, a retreat of a different kind chilling the air around them. “I’m sure I’ll...see you around.”
John flinched.
Sherlock turned away with a farewell smile, starting for a table in the corner, John’s heart hammering as his gaze darted between the door, his watch, and Sherlock’s retreating back.
“Wait!” he blurted, a syllable long overdue, and Sherlock spun around, eyes wide at the volume John already regretted, several unwanted pairs of eyes now drawn to their exchange. “Look, I- Maybe I’m just crazy,” he rambled, shaking his head, “or-or haven’t had my coffee yet”—he lifted the cup—“but I-I don’t think things like this just...happen.”
Sherlock’s head tilted. “Things like what?”
“Like this,” John said, waving a hand between them. “Us, running into one another. I mean, what are the odds?”
“I wouldn’t bet on them,” Sherlock muttered, shrugging a shoulder, but the swallow rolling down his throat belied his easy tone. “But what does it matter?”
“I-I’m just saying, it- Fuck!” he exclaimed, glancing at his watch again. “Okay, I know this is not a conversation to have in two minutes, but that’s all I’ve got, so, I’ve regretted breaking up pretty much since it happened but was too scared to say anything, and then it got to be too long, and then I didn’t care that it had been too long but you’d changed your number, and nobody from secondary school knew where you’d got off to, and you’re not on the internet anywhere—how is that even possible anymore?—and I’d really like to get a proper coffee sometime if you don’t think I’m an irreparable ass.”
Sherlock’s mouth was hanging open, his coffee tipping at a dangerous angle as his eyes blinked owlishly, but striking Sherlock Holmes speechless was an achievement he didn’t have the time to celebrate.
“I-I really hate to rush you, but-”
“Okay,” Sherlock interjected, a single dazed word that almost swiped John’s knees out from under him.
“O-Okay?”
Sherlock confirmed it with a nod, his soft smile framed with pinkening cheeks.
“Okay,” John said, testing the word on his tongue, “okay, er...same time tomorrow?”
Sherlock laughed. “Sure,” he agreed, smile broadening under twinkling eyes as John only continued to stare. “Don’t you have somewhere to be?”
“SHIT!” John exclaimed, throwing a wave over his shoulder and rushing out the door, heart lighter than it had been in years with Sherlock’s laugh at his back.

Please could you give me some of the fluffiest and cutest Johnlock fanfic ever I would really need it in these days ? :c
Hi Nonny!
I’m currently working on a “All the Fluff” Fic Rec List (someone asked for it AGES AGO), so I do have some already sorted for you! Here’s some from my “Tooth Rotting Fluff Fic Rec List”! I’ve tonne more, but you seem to need this RIGHT NOW, so I’ll give you what I have sorted so far!
TOOTH ROTTING FLUFF
Flip of the Coin by SD_Ryan (T, 648 w.|| Fluff, Snuggles, Bed Sharing) – “John never knew what shape the flat would be in when he emerged from his room each morning, and that was due solely—as you might imagine—to Sherlock. The possibilities were limitless, and John’s creativity had not yet ballooned sufficiently to anticipate the depth and variety of Sherlock’s methods of transforming their home.” One morning, John wakes to an entirely new—and not unwelcome—circumstance.
Caring by belovedmuerto (T, 652 w. || Ficlet, Caring, Deductions) – John figures something out about Sherlock.
Tap by doctorcaseyholmes (G, 896 w. || Fluff, Morse Code, First Kiss, Love Confessions) – Sherlock finds an unobtrusive way to let out his feelings for John.
A Christmas Holiday by consultinggalpals (sansa_undergrind) (G, 1,076 w. || Tooth Rotting Fluff, Christmas, Honeymoon) – “Come on, Sherlock. Just take the picture already.”
First Kiss by jawnandsharklock (NR, 1,119 w || First Kiss, Fluff) – "Look into the mirror. Do you see your mouth? Good. Go two inches to the right from the right corner of your mouth. Then two and a half inches up. Stop. I said two and a half inches, not five. There you go. Right there. That’s where this story begins. Or maybe that’s where it ends. Or maybe it’s all the same.”
This Isn’t About the Bathtub by cypress_tree (G, 1,142 || Marriage Proposal) – John and Sherlock go to Angelo’s for dinner. In both of their pockets are rings they are going to propose with, but the other has no idea. John proposes first, and Sherlock answers by pulling out his engagement ring.
Bringing Colour to the World by SD_Ryan (G, 1,168w. || Est. Relationship, Sickfic, Fluff, Schmoop) – In which we encounter a sick detective, a snuggle on the couch, and a silly fairytale.
Giveaway fic #1 by ConsultingPurplePants (E, 1,170 w. || John’s Belly, Coming Untouched, BJ’s) – John doesn’t like his belly. Sherlock does. Part 1 of 500 Tumblr Followers Giveaway Fics
So, this is normal for us now? by TooManyChoices (M, 1,445w. || Bed Sharing, Tooth-Rotting Fluff, Est. Rel., Cuddles) – John and Sherlock have been sharing a flat, and a life for some time. This is a story of how the glacially slow movement of their relationship makes another agonising crawl forward another inch.
To Sleep, Perchance to…Cuddle by nerdyandiknowit (NR, 1,563 w. || Sleepy Cuddles, Fluff, Stubborn Sherlock, Bedsharing, Cuddles & Snuggles) – Almost immediately after they got together Sherlock formed this dependency on John-he could not (or would not as John believes) sleep without John being there, in bed, next to him.
Bliss by theimprobable1 (G, 1,568w. || Cuddles and Tooth-Rotting Fluff) – Sherlock feels utterly, completely content. He’s curled up against John on the sofa and there’s nowhere else in the world where he’d rather be, no case or experiment that seems more tempting than John’s warmth.
Christmas by thegirlinthedeathfrisbee (G, 1,768 w. || Mistletoe, First Kiss, Fluff) – John goes home for Christmas–to the Holmes home, that is.
Want by siennna (T, 1,806 w. || PIning, POV Sherlock Second Person, Fluff, First Kiss) – When John speaks, you hear more than words. You hear the rise and fall of his tone, the comfortable quake of his laughter, the warm pauses of silence in between. When John laughs, there are stars glittering on his tongue and galaxies resting just behind his teeth, and you wish you could press your lips there and burrow into the warm sound. Part 6 of sienna’s favorites
But Love Is A Voice On The Wind by Snow (M, 1832 w. || First Time, Meddling Mycroft, Texting) – Sherlock keeps getting texts from Mycroft with tips on wooing John.
In Which John is a BAMFy MoFo, OMG! by Kantayra (T, 1835 w. || Humour) – John’s BAMFness and Sherlock’s damsel-in-distress act are caught forever on camera. So Scotland Yard can mock. A lot.
Seventeen Letters by out_there (G, 2,357 w. || Love Confessions) – “I love Sherlock,” John says out loud, testing how the words feel in his mouth. It doesn’t change anything. Sherlock’s still the pillock who fiddled with his computer password.
Lie-In by scullyseviltwin (E, 2540 w. || Bed Sharing, Morning After, Fluff) – “I can’t believe you drank an entire bottle of wine.”
John’s Drawers by JezebelGoldstone (T, 2,646 w. || Fluff, First Kiss, Romance, Humour) – Sherlock snoops through John’s drawers and finds something… unexpected.
and stand there at the edge of my affection by coloredink (G, 2,683 w. || Fluff, Letters, Clueless John) – “You’ve written love letters,” Sherlock asserted.
Atrium by kali_asleep (T, 3,460 w. || 5+1, Valentines Day, Fluff & Schmoop, First Kiss) – Five times Sherlock gave John his heart, and the one time Sherlock got a heart in return (literally).
Posh Boy by panickedbee (M, 3,622 w. || Kinks, RST, Pining, Sexual Frustation) – In his head he greets him with hey, handsome in the morning, calls him genius when he is being too clever again, calls him pretty man and silly git and sweetheart and, of course, posh boy. Part 5 of Sherlock Holmes Is A Very Lucky Man
The Quiet Moments by belovedmuerto (T, 4,091 w. || Cuddles) – Cuddling. Lots of it.

Sherlock sets out to make John happy. John is happy. Sherlock makes his own list. They are both very, very happy.
Happy Christmas, You Arse by 1electricpirate (T, 4,766 w. || Post-TRF, Fluff, Christmas Fic) – In which evidence is presented that disqualifies Sherlock from being the Grinch, and everyone’s shoes fit them perfectly well, thank you.
A Study in Intimacy by doodle (T, 5,183 w. || First Kiss, Virginity, Romance, Touching) – People don’t touch Sherlock Holmes, not like they touch other people. Then he meets John Watson.
a very soft epilogue (my love) by darcylindbergh (E, 5,395 w. || Retirement, Domestic Fluff, Dancing, Dogs, Grumpy Old Men) – Across the pillows, Sherlock shifts and hums, the creases of his face deepening and then smoothing before settling. John watches him wake up, his chest swelling with affection and fondness, and thinks he’ll never get tired of Sherlock in the mornings, sleepy and soft. It’s been some forty-odd years, and John hasn’t gotten tired of it yet. Part 5 of things fairy tales are made of
Maybe This Christmas by feverishsea (T, 6,021 w. || Matchmaker Anthea, Anthea POV, Slight Mystrade, Holmes Family) – Anthea has given up her life, her own desires, even her name in service of something greater than herself. But that doesn’t mean she can’t see when someone else wants something – even if she doesn’t happen to care overmuch for that person. And it doesn’t mean she isn’t willing to help.
To Quote Malcolm Tucker; or, Get The Fuck In or Fuck The Fuck Off by kim47 (T, 8,484 w. || Jealous Sherlock, Flirting, Cockblocking) – Sherlock is cockblocker and a prick tease and John is not amused.

Johnlock is Go
I’m sorry I feel like I’m too excited to do this well. But. We know this episode is off, we know the interactions between John and Sherlock feel off. I’m saying the reason for this, one of the reasons the narrative is so rushed and strange, one of the things they are hiding, is that John and Sherlock are together. Right. Now. They are hiding it, they are hiding it from MARY and so they’re hiding it from us as well.
Two things real quick since I know you’re wondering:
1) I’m not sure what happens in the end yet, there’s a separate issue where they’re also obscuring what happened around Mary’s “death”; I’m not sure yet if she’s faked her death, or John shot her, I don’t know if the estrangement between John and Sherlock is real or not. I haven’t got that far with this yet.
2) NO, John isn’t cheating with bus lady, he didn’t cheat on Sherlock, I’ll get to that. Don’t worry.
OK. SO in the beginning, Sherlock’s behavior is off, yes? He’s hungry, he’s super manic, he’s singing, he’s on top of the world. He’s just so….. happy.
I got into my head the crack idea that this is what he’d look like right after he and John had finally started having sex, after he’s gotten laid for the first time in years (or ever) and I laughed at it, and then I couldn’t. Let. It. Go.
He even says: “Natural high, I assure you. TOTALLY natural.” WELL IT IS. ENDORPHINS. (He’s being smug about finally getting with John Watson, LISTEN to it, he is SMUG.). We’re all like “is he high? This is so OOC for him”
WELL OF COURSE ITS OOC we’ve never seen him when he’s getting some, have we?
Sorry. Um. 59 missed calls. They’re on a case, John’s phone buzzes right as they’re returning to the flat (and why is John headed back to Baker St after a case? He doesn’t live there anymore?) and he has 59 missed calls from his very pregnant wife, who has gone into labor. I make a joke post about it, love your wife much John? But realize. He had his phone off the whole time they were on the case and just now cut it back on. HE’S taken to using CASES AS AN EXCUSE to leave his phone off whenever he’s with Sherlock.
(Also listen to John’s tone of voice in this scene before Mary calls, it’s very…. stag night. I don’t know how else to describe it.)
Then we have the party at John and Mary’s (baby shower?). They are talking about naming the baby and Sherlock says, “you know what I think” and John and Mary say TOGETHER “it isn’t a girls name.” And Sherlock smiles HAPPILY. A soft, private smile at his phone. I made a post about this already, I should be linking everything and pictures but I don’t have computer access till probably Thursday and I’m MUCH too impatient. The point is, WHY is Sherlock happy about John AND MARY making a JOKE about his aborted love confession?! The most painful thing?
Unless he knows for sure now that John KNOWS what he meant to say and he’s happy about that.
Um. The tweeting, the constant tweeting? Sherlock’s trying to DISTRACT himself he doesn’t want to look at John in front of everyone because he knows he’ll give them away.
“I delete his texts. I delete any text that begins with "hi”“
These are two separate sentences and don’t actually imply that John’s texts begin with "hi” or that that’s why Sherlock is deleting them. Anyway, as others have pointed out, John doesn’t start his texts with “hi”, he starts with “hey”. So. Sherlock is just deleting all John’s texts? WHY? This is highly suggestive…
John is tired all the time. Between the new baby and Sherlock, he is getting NO sleep… he and Greg even joke about it, in that weird-ass stairwell scene where they compare Sherlock to the baby. I think Sherlock freezes up and pretends not to understand here because he’s not sure if they’ve given too much away? Greg is literally joking about Sherlock keeping John up all night and does he KNOW?
Ok, so, the bus scenes. Is John cheating. So, there’s a question of whether the bus lady might be an agent from Mycroft or Sherlock, and I think that’s possible. But I also think the second time they show the scene, where John gets the phone number, is something that Sherlock is dreaming. John is just so soft and lovely and beautiful in this scene, like a romantic hero, it feels like part of a different show to me. This is Sherlock’s dream, it’s why John looks so amazing. It’s why Sherlock goes to Ella in the end.
Sherlock is afraid. I know he knows John loves him, he wouldn’t be so happy otherwise. But he’s afraid that John is addicted to that adrenaline he provides. That part of what finally made them work after not working for so long was the fact that they were in danger from John’s assassin wife, that they had to hide their relationship as a matter of life and death.
He’s afraid that once they’ve dealt with Mary and they can be together for real it won’t be enough for John anymore. That he needs the adrenaline, the escape. So he has a recurring dream of John cheating. He goes to Ella to find out what John needs, how to make him happy.
….like I said, I’m not sure if they’re estranged at the end or not. Regardless I think things will get much worse before they get better. I still think we’ll get the full-on love confession, everything, they may not even have REALLY talked their feelings out yet. Remember they thought Sherlock was going to die, so, I imagine he got back off the plane and they both said “fuck this, I’m DONE waiting.”
I was upset initially at the thought they could be doing it this way, getting some of it in a flashback, but I trust Moftiss, I think it will be okay. Anyway ACD Holmes and Watson were together right under people’s noses for years and doing it this way is just SO meta.
I DON’T KNOW who to tag anymore, I haven’t written meta in months, so I will just scream about this until someone notices. This maybe the only thing I talk about this until TLD airs. Um, if someone WANTS a tag if I have more ideas about this, let me know.
Edited to add....I don't LIKE the idea of John and Sherlock starting their relationship while John is still "with" Mary either, believe me. But if you consider that she's lied to him about everything since day one ... that John doesn't feel he can leave her safely since there's now a baby to consider... and maybe he and Sherlock are in danger from her as well... I just. After EVERYTHING they've been through, if they realized their feelings for each other on the tarmac, if Sherlock almost died and came back... I think it's understandable if they don't want to wait till some possibly distant future where all these obstacles are out of the way until they can finally be together.
