*Kisses Raoul passionately before he has a meeting* ~ @lovely-lotte (( feeling cheeky))
[His entire face goes as bright red as a ripe tomato. His eyes are wide with surprise, but then his eyes flutter shut as he sighs happily. His hold on his bag slips, and it falls to the ground beside them.]

[Well... now he's all alone. He just spends the rest of the time there thinking of Christine, crying sometimes, and singing to himself (he does not like to sing much around people other than Christine). And also slowly freezing.]

Ohh good question! My favourite musketeer would have to be Porthos I think. There’s just something so lovable and silly about him (like how his introduction was him bragging about his baldric and urging Aramis to back him up about the price haha), and I like his relationship with the other musketeers! Aramis is easily an amazing character too. He’s so sassy 🤭
And YES!! I completely agree!! There should definitely be more movies with the older musketeers! And it’s so cool you’re studying French!! I am too!! (I’m *very* bad at it though haha!)
Regarding the German musical, I’ve listened to some of the songs on youtube and they’re amazing! I’m SO jealous you saw a performance in person! The singers are so so talented. I’ve had « Gott lächelt uns zu » on repeat all day. Unfortunately I haven’t found a copy of the full musical yet but I’ll keep looking and tell you if I do!
Awee I love your fandom story btw! In a way, it seems like the three musketeers are an old friend to you, that’s so sweet!! You’ve persuaded me. I’m going to finish reading « Twenty Years After » but catch me sobbing in your inbox afterwards
Also!! You have a tattoo?? That’s so sick man! I’m deathly afraid of needles and I’ve never worked up the courage to get one, but I’d like to one day! What does it look like??
Thank you for endulging my silly musketeer asks hehhehe <3
Hello again to you my dear 🥰
Truuuuue, that was soooo sweet!! I loved the introduction of Porthos and Aramis so much!! They are so hilarious in that first scene. 🥹 Porthos is so good-hearted!! You must definitely never read Le Vicomte de Bragelonne 🥲🥲
The older Musketeers have my heart… the thing that frustrates me is that they always look old but are actually in their 20s/30s in the first book. 🥲 I‘d just love for that to match more. 🙈 OHH YOU TOO ARE STUDYING FRENCH? That‘s awesome 😍 I‘ve been at uni for three years now so my French is very good by now - but not good enough to read the Musketeers in original language. 🙈
I‘m so happy you enjoy the Musical songs! 🥹 „Gott lächelt uns zu“ is one of my favorites as well! What other song do you enjoy? 🙂
Thank you so much, this is exactly the way I feel about them. 🥰 They have always been there „for“ me. 🥰 My poor darling, the sobs should spare you still at the end of Twenty Years After. 🥰🫶🏻
Yaaaaay tattoos 🥰 Tattoos are awesome, but I understand that it‘s scary! 🥲 Mine shows a rapier crossed with a rose and says „Je suis d‘Artagnan“ 🥰
Thank youuuu for indulging me with your asks! 😍✨✨

Dear readers,
The formatting of Dangerous Liaisons Daily has started. It is time that I write a post presenting the project.
*taps mic*
Do you like sexual affairs? Do you like treason? Do you love revenge? And deceit? Yes, what about deceit? By the way, are you an average sin enjoyer? More than that, maybe? An expert sin enjoyer who will kiss all the prudes on your way to hell? Finally, do you swoon at the thought of an evil woman and/or a bastard man?
Well then, you should definitely subscribe to Dangerous Liaisons Daily, and follow the manipulative adventures of the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont through their correspondence, in real time. You can find all the information you need on the about page of the project, where you can also subscribe if you want to.
It will start on August 3rd, 2022. Though i invite you to check your inbox a few days before. It will end on January 14th, 2023.
I wanted to set up a french version of it, but it would be too much work on such a short notice for it to be ready in august. That being said, it will happen next year. The english version of the project will be reconducted next year if you enjoy it, or if you can’t make it this year for any reason (for example, if you are reading any other ongoing newsletter).
If you have any question, you can shoot me an ask or dm me.
PS : A huge thank you to the 99 people who already subscribed at the moment i type this post! This is incredible, I am humbled and honored to receive such support!
See you soon to share gossip like the heretics we are ;)

Music of the Night Essence:
Tumblr media
The stage has been set! The lights are lit and the curtain is rising! Welcome to The Empire Opera House's final dress rehearsal of the timeless classic, The Phantom of the Opera! Let's hope these new ghastly hiccups won't throw this show off of the rails. After all, the show must go on!
Rules:
-Contact me to claim roles via inbox, dm, or on discord!
-One Person Per Blog (sorry fellow multi-character blogs).
-Don't be rude to anyone if you don't get your first pick on roles. Not only is this first come first serve, but it's also all for fun!
Note:
-Character genders aren't solid! Send whoever you'd like for whatever role!
-If you have any questions about any role or the essence in general please don't hesitate to ask me!
-Costume designs may take a while as I'd be designing them in between classes.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:· In-Store S Tier: The Angel of Music - {Cleo/@ask-idv-thrillseeker}
A Spector masquerades as a man as it tries to put together the perfect recreation of the script.
Character Description: The once-unenthused actor chosen for the role of the phantom. Over the time of rehearsal, it seemed that the actor hadn’t been keen on the choice of role or that she’d gotten in the play in general. Rumors spread she had simply tried out as a joke between her and her friend who was the head of the light crew. However, after a strange event that happened after one rehearsal, they slowly over time started to act more and more akin to their role. While some people shrugged it off as some strange form of method acting, it's hard not to question the drastic change in personality.
Warnings: This character is possessed throughout the entirety of the plot line. They also commit multiple murders, kidnapping, stalking, etc (basically a good chunk of scenes from the play). ·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·
S Tier: “Christine” - {Ivy Nettle/@manor-tea-time}
3rd in line for the role of the ingenue, it is a wonder she made it to the stage. Bright lights of center stage await them along with a foreboding ghostly presence.
Character Description:
A part of the stage crew that was forced to take up a part of the show after the last understudy quit the production for mysterious reasons. She’s desperately trying to figure out how exactly to not let the show down and to make up for any lost time. However, as more and more incidents occur, the more on edge and freaked out she becomes.
Warnings: This character gets kidnapped and stalked like in the original play.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·
A Tier: The Vicomte - {Finality/@finality-and-origin}
A talented new actor that appeared out of the framework, starring as Raoul in their debut show.
Character Description:
A sweet soul, albeit anxious for their debut show. Unsure of what exactly to expect from the audience and what they hope to be the beginning of their acting career. As many of the events caused by the phantom occur they start becoming more and more on edge as they question if staying in the production is actually worth it.
A Tier: Primadonna - {Tatya Baudelair/@tatya-time}
A well seasoned actress playing the role of Carlotta.
Character Description:
While playing the role of a primadonna, they seem to be the furthest thing from it. Often giving small tips/advice to help any of the newer actors/actresses who need it (ex. How to help with stage fright, remembering cues, etc). The main reason she tried out for this show was to support her childhood friend who got the role as Pianji.
Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.
A Tier: Aspiring Ballerina - {Bridget Meyler/@candymaker-idv}
Chosen from a local dance studio, this ballerina hopes to plant the seeds to blossom her career.
Character Description:
Playing Meg in the production, this ballerina has more or less put themselves in overdrive to not way down any other people in the cast. Often secretly taking small acting lessons from The Mademe to keep up with everyone else. During the events the phantom causes, she’s one of the first people to put together how the events are following the plot of the play.
A Tier: The Madame - {Rue/@voidproject}
Reprising their role as Madame Giry, this well seasoned actress returns to the stage for a small reunion for her fans.
Character Description:
The Madame is a fairly well-known actress, rumored to be looking towards retirement as their shows start dwindling for a variety of reasons. This rumor seems to be more and more confirmed as they start giving pieces of their acting knowledge to the acting troop’s aspiring ballerina.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·
B Tier: The Baritone - {Matilda/@idv-ask-the-horatius-siblings}
A local actor that was chosen for the role of Pianji.
Character Description:
A very passionate local actor who dragged their friend, Primadonna to try out with them for the production. Extremely excited when they both were able to get in as a duo.
Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.
B Tier: Chief of the Flys - {Wayne Strickland/@manor-tea-time}
A local actor who was chosen for the role of Buquet.
Character Description:
An actor, while not much into the acting scene, wanted to support their daughter, one of the background ballerinas. They’re a fairly gentle soul who seems confused at all of the normal theater shenanigans but has the right spirit.
Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.
B Tier: Building Manager - {Miss. Silhouette/@manor-tea-time}
“Gossip is worth its weight in Gold”
Character Description:
The building manager is a fairly greedy and money oriented person. During the events caused by the phantom, they insist that the show must go on for the payout rather than trying to keep the actors safe.
B Tier: Stage Manager - {Beth/@ask-idv-baker}
“The show must go on!” seems to be a redundant saying now.
Character Description:
An overworked stage manager who is slowly questioning why they chose to work for the theater. They’re essentially the equivalent of a tired parent who has to kinda deal with whatever the phantom throws at the show.
B Tier: Maestro - {Exile/@oletus-carousel}
A haunting melody echoes throughout the theater as the Maestro plays their song.
Character Description:
A fairly new Maestro to the musical scene, this being their debut show. They’re a fairly eccentric personality who takes every musical cue in the show extremely seriously. After all, they wish everything to be perfect for opening night.
Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.
B Tier: Prop Master - {Kitty Nutella/@idv-artists-trio}
The prop master checks through their list. A noticeable amount of props have gone missing.
Character Description:
A secluded and unsociable person, the prop master often sticks to their own world of prop making. The only times that the acting troupe has seen them talk is to clarify certain things to the director before leaving once more. They’re the 2nd person to notice the strange patterns of the phantom.
B Tier: Light Crew - {Alden West/@ask-idv-astronaut}
“Perhaps you can scare a ghost away with a little illumination! Gentlemen!”
Character Description:
An experienced part of the backstage crew, they’re fairly confident in the abilities of the actors and stage-crew. They’re noted to make small jokes of their time in school with the actor that plays the phantom, but overall seem proud of their sudden seriousness they have taken to the role (at least till the incidents occur).
B Tier: Retired Understudy - {Vanadis/@idv-fifis-toybox}
The understudy knew once the strange occurrences started happening that their role wasn’t worth their life.
Character Description:
Known as the real primadonna that was formerly on stage, it was a strange occurrence when they quit the show for reasons she wouldn’t elaborate upon. With no one to fill in her place, she left the stage crew scrambling for someone that could fill in her spot.
Warning: This character was kidnapped and stalked like in the original play. It is also implied that this character was almost killed a few times.

Dangerous Liaisons - chapter 1. Chapel
Masterlist, Natasha Romanoff masterlist, latest fic, hit my inbox.
a/n based on this. first chapters are relatively short, but the more scenario unfolds, the longer they become
Natasha Romanoff as Marquise Nataliia Romanova
Steve Rogers as Vicomte Steven de Valmont
Reader as Madame Y/N Y/L/N
Tumblr media
Prologue
Tumblr media
Behind the closed doors her lover was feeding her the quotes from bad novels.
"An hour without you is a century."
Nataliia's lips were a thin line. She was closing the doors herself as if disgusted by the possibility of this pathetic affection slipping outside of her smallest bedroom.
"S,
I'm preparing my carriage. I'm intrigued by the peculiar guest. You were right, there is no greater pleasure than to be the cause of a betrayal.
Your equal, N."
___
When Marquese entered the Chapel there were two women. "Slaves of non existing conscious" was her thought.
You were on your knees, tasting the body of Christ. Your innocence was in your every feature. Eyes obediently following the Priest's hand and then lowered in never ending belief.
Pink color of a simple dress matched the patience in your eyes.
Vicomte was smiling. You were a perfect prey.
___
"Weather is just amazing." Valmont's aunt creaked. "We'll walk."
Her entourage nodded. The carriage was taken back to the mansion.
Laughing and running kids were brightening it even more.
The sound of the chapel's organ was still heard in the distance. Chatter of birds could never compete with heavy pipes.
Nataliia was near you. Her perfume was reminding you of your youth.
Marquese was free, she didn't have a burden. Nataliia was turning the pages of her tiny book.
"You didn't take communion." You voiced your observation.
"No."
Her voice was raspy. You didn't expect it to be like this. It was such a stark contrast with her nature. Accent was making it even more foreign for this peaceful province.
"But why?" You were studying her. Her pursed lips were the opposite of your politeness.
"Such women like me..." She caught your curious gaze. "I have a reputation."
"I've heard the rumors." The brims of your hat allowed you to hide the blush. Of course, the reputation of Marquese Nataliia Romanova was well known.
"Rumors? Who is the unkind soul?" Metal clacked in Russian's voice.
"A friend."
You chose Marquese as your company. She was different from the others. You wanted to know more about her. And those rumors... You didn't believe them.
Walking side by side you were becoming one of those tasteless paintings of starving artists. Two women in the sea of green, caught in the simplicity of the moment.
"I was always surrounded by men." Natalia suddenly spoke. "Unlike you, I didn't succumb. I had to learn how to adapt. Sometimes certain choices have to be made for the sake of survival. And of course, the pleasure. The one to eclipse all the suffering in the world."
"And now?" You knew, she was giving you the straw. Marquese was not the one to be saved, but she was the one to be understood.
"Something's changed."
"If you feel the need to change..." You noticed how green eyes were avoiding you. Diligently.
"Don't we all need to become better."
Marquese noticed the greyhound running, it too found it's prey.
"Perfect N,
Her kneeling in front of you might be a pleasure for you, but not a satisfaction we both crave for. I will need proof. Handwritten by the gentle hand of Madame Y/l/N.
Eternally faithful, S."
___
Rumors was such an ugly word. Marquese didn't even have a minute with you, but your mind was already poisoned by the disgusting exaggerated shell of the truth.
She needed time with you.  Tête à tête.
Nataliia ordered her servants to prepare the clothes and her horse. A play she rehearsed so well with the others was about to start.

𝒜 𝐿𝑒𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓇𝒾𝒶𝓃
A figure in a starry black cloak stumbled in and cried, in an annoying manner.
"To those who have seen the Eclipse, I have come to a realization as I recount the events of the original story! I've actually panicked when this realization has come to me. But a certain Octavinelle dorm leader has come to mind, a much more fitting cast in place of the Phantom! If you please.. I would like to know your opinions on whether I should keep the original casting of Vil Schoenheit as the Phantom or not. If I were to replace the Phantom, this would mean that Pomefiore is no longer in the spotlight as I had originally planned, the Vicomte will change as I change the Phantom. Please, I would like your opinions on this matter, I'm sorry for my irresponsibility."
The foolish cloaked figure left, crying as they stumbled out.
The fool came back hours later, "Please feel free to put your opinion regarding the matter in my inbox."
Then the fool ran back out, crying once again

Who the heck is my muse anyway?: The original Universal Monster, played the grandfather of horror himself, men once knew him as Erik, now he is solely known as the Phantom of the Opera! Although the origins of Erik’s character can be traced back to the original 1911 novel written by Gaston Leroux, this version here is the one brought to life on the silver screen in 1925, with Lon Chaney Sr. in the role of the eponymous Phantom. In it, Erik’s background is greatly changed-instead of being abused by his hateful and scornful mother, put on display in a Romani camp, and traveling to Persia, he is an escapee of a mental asylum, born during a devastating massacre and incredibly skilled in music and the Black Arts, all of which he taught himself. Although his end was initially similar to that of the book’s, with Christine Daae’s kiss being enough to redeem him and let her, Raoul de Chagney and Inspector Ledoux go before he dies of a broken heart, test audiences didn’t buy into it, and instead, Erik is framed as a villain, attempting to run off with Christine once more in a carriage, pursued by a vicious mob. Christine jumps from the carriage, which then tips over, leaving Erik to flee on foot until he is backed into a corner by the mob, who proceed to beat him dead and throw his body into the river Seine. A sequel was talked of much later on, and little is known about it, given that little of a story was blocked out, and Mr. Chaney’s passing in 1930 prevented it from really getting it off the ground.
Points of interest:
Was born and raised on Devil’s Island, an asylum for the mentally ill, where he taught himself both music and the Black Arts, before he was taken to the torture chambers, where he subsequently escaped and hid until the Opera House was built, and he started living there
Tutored young soprano Christine Daae and greatly influenced her rise to fame, having fallen in love with her, and planning on commanding love from her at some point
Eventually did so, and when he was rejected (and when she disobeyed his order not to remove his mask), he went on a rampage, attempting to keep her with him and force her to marry him, as well as attempting to murder Christine’s beau Raoul, and Inspector Ledoux
What they’ve been up to recently:
Beneath the Paris Opera House
Generally speaking, in the ‘default’ verse for this blog, Erik is still living beneath the Opera House, all alone, without Christine to listen to, or really much of a sense of purpose-he’s bitter, lonely, and even more isolated than he once was-after all, everyone thinks he’s dead!
AU Verses
It varies with the verse-one verse is very similar to the default, except that instead of isolating himself, Erik is currently rampaging through the opera house, causing even more chaos than before, as he is expressing his rage over losing Christine. In another, he’s a spirit, literally haunting the opera house, unable to be heard or seen by anyone. In another, he is Christine’s loyal teacher and accompanying pianist, shy and withdrawn from all except her, as he is still unaccustomed to life on the surface. In yet another, he is raised by his mother in their home providence of Gévaudan, until he’s an adult, when he starts to pursue a career at the opera house, and try to speak with chorus girl Christine Daae
Where to find them:
Beneath the Paris Opera House
As usual, Erik can be found five cellars below the Paris Opera House, in his small home by a large, black river. There are a variety of passageways he can use that will take to various places around and outside the Opera House, of course, but since his self-isolation after the departure of Christine, they have long since fallen into disuse
AU Verses
In the majority of the AU’s, Erik is still in the Opera House, but for one of them, he still sometimes returns home to Gévaudan, to visit his mother and perhaps bring her out to Paris, in order to see the work he’s been doing at the Opera House while he’s been gone
Current plans:
At the moment, Erik has none: It would take a real miracle to get him to come out from the cellars and at least up to the Opera House, since he sees no point in coming up, now that Christine no longer sings there. He doesn’t know where she is now, if she still sings, or if she’s settled down with her Vicomte for a simple life, as he has shunned any knowledge of any current events/news of the outside world
Desired interactions:
Friends: Let’s face it-Erik needs friends. Since in the 1925 film, the Daroga wasn’t his friend, Erik literally has zero friends to turn to/cry on the shoulders of when the chips are down. Therefore, Erik needs to somehow get out of his cellar and get out to the world above, or someone needs to come down and find him and perhaps console him a bit
Changing Times: Erik remains the same, while the world outside changes and evolves around him: It’d be interesting to explore those changes, and how Erik is one day forced to accept them, to learn about them, and perhaps eventually come to use some of these changes
Crossovers: Crossovers are always welcome! I’ll happily RP with anyone, whether they come from POTO or not!
Offered interactions:
None
Current open posts:
None at the moment!
Anything else?:
This blog has been dormant for a while, but I’m open to reviving it if anyone is so inclined!
Tagging: All who’d like to do it!

Note
Christine is not a heavy sleeper, she used to be, but over the years she’d gotten used to being constantly aware of what was around her, even while asleep, so it didn’t take her long to realize Raoul was gone from their bed.
It wasn’t particularly late, but it was well past the time they would usually go to bed, and this really wasn’t like him, so the viscountess went to investigate, pulling on her dressing robe to search for her husband.
Only a few minutes later, Christine heard a muffled cry coming from the old nursery, the one they were supposed to fix soon but hadn’t gotten around to yet. It seemed obvious before she even entered that he was in there, but why, she had no idea.
~ @lovely-lotte (( okay this came out way longer than expected oops. Just a little smth if you wanted to do some angst))
He'd had a nightmare. It had been about his mother, and she'd been dying.
He'd woken up in a cold sweat, jolting upright in bed, his clothes sticking to him as if he'd jumped into the ocean fully clothed. His eyes had been wide and panicked, and his breaths were so fast that he'd had to fist the bedsheets to ground himself.
He'd glanced at Christine, almost desperately, to ensure that she was still breathing. The nightmare had devolved from his mother, dying with tears in her eyes, because of him, to Christine, dying as well, because of him. And all while that was happening, a laughter that sounded horribly like Erik's echoed in the background.
He could not bear it.
He leaned in closer to his wife, trying to ensure that she was still breathing. The peace on her face was the complete opposite of the lingering panic he still felt. It was a miracle that she was still asleep.
Unable to bear the memories of the nightmare any longer, Raoul stumbled out of bed, out of the bedroom, and down into the kitchen. He could not get the thoughts out of his head, and he soon found himself grabbing a bottle of whiskey. Without thinking, and against his better judgement, he soon started drinking, desperate to drown out the memories.
With nowhere else to go, he stumbled into the old Nursery. It was there that his knees gave out as he collapsed heavily onto the wooden floor, leaning against the old crib that used to be his and crying. The whiskey remained in his hand, as he cried, and drank, and tried to stop the memories entering his head. The guilt, and the deaths, the trauma of what had happened with the Phantom, but worst of all, the idea of losing Christine all because he had been so reckless to get her pregnant! It was too much to bear.
He was still soaked with sweat, his hair sticking to his forehead and clothes sticking to his skin, body trembling with sobs, when Christine entered the room. But he was so busy drinking and crying that he did not notice.

Truth or dare ?
Er... well, I was going to choose Truth. But Meg is visiting today and she's making me choose dare, because "truths are boring".
[He rolls his eyes, and Meg smacks the back of his head. He yelps and rubs the back of it, affronted.]
... So dare, I suppose.
[Mutters to Meg, "If I'm given a bad one I'm blaming you." She simply snickers, and Christine is just amused.]

Hi! I’m Maggie, people said I look like Christine but believe, I do not look like Christine!
[He smiles politely.]
Well, you are correct, no one is as beautiful as Christine.
[Okay, maybe be a bit less honest, Raoul—]
