idk i guess the reason i'm so attached to trans Vaegon is because the treatment of all of jaehaerys and alysanne's children is so Gendered. The boys die young in battle because they're Good Strong Men. with the exceptions of those who died as children (particularly Daenerys, dead perfect child trope, etc.) and Maegelle (born literally as a sacrifice in exchange for her parents' political power), the girls are all figures who jaehaerys tries and fails to mold into an imitation of his sisterwife. and like tbh that's very Vaegon to me. You're a girl but you're a boy, which is good, because boys are valuable and worth more than their spare parts, but you're not the right kind of boy because you're a girl, so you're essentially worthless, but still not as worthless as the other girls because you aren't built like them but you're actually more worthless because you aren't built like them. anyway we know you resent the prison of your flesh but you should just be glad you're a boy because being a girl would make you a sacrificial lamb. but you are a girl.
