I don’t celebrate the colonial history of US Thanksgiving, but the harvest season is a great time to meditate about the things for which you’re grateful. And one of the things that brings me the most gratitude right now is being able to act with the love of my life for the first time on a real stage (after doing about twenty online readings together). And not only that, I get to aggressively make out with him on that stage! I hope our friends are able to come out and see us on one of our four remaining weekends. ❤️ #theatrecouple #murderontheorientexpress #ivegotsuchacrushonhim (at Santa Paula Theater Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClSUWfqpQgn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Today is a very important day in the Cute Shakespeare Boy Lore. Those of you who have been following our love story from the beginning know that this was one of the catalysts to @tmarrvelus and I connecting on a deeper level than we had with nearly anyone else before. For those of you who haven’t heard the story, buckle up. The week of May 9th, 2021, I found out that I’d be reading Kate opposite Taylor’s Petruchio, a pairing I’d been hoping and praying for since I joined the Shakespeare 2020 gang. I ran around my house celebrating and couldn’t stop talking about it all week. Ron Dorn said my enthusiasm was “infectious.” I’ll remember these details forever. At our first rehearsal, I discovered that Taylor’s portrayal of Petruchio (a difficult character in even the best hands) aligned exactly with how I saw him, and I was even more excited to develop this relationship. The day before our official reading, our director Mary let Taylor and I hang out on Zoom for a couple of hours and just chat. In the nine months we’d been doing readings together, Taylor and I had never had a one-on-one conversation before. But in those two hours, we bared our souls to each other. We talked about love, relationships, trauma, sex, heartbreak. He told me he felt utterly safe with me. And in return, my heart bloomed open like it hadn’t in years. I felt like a teenager with their first crush, full of butterflies. Our “stage” chemistry was electric the next day - the other actors couldn’t keep their eyes off of us. We sizzled. It wasn’t until months later that I found out we’d been interested in each other since the day we first “met” on Zoom. Two days after the reading, my car was totaled by my ex. It was a grand cosmic sign. Our lives have both changed irrevocably in the last year, and Taylor, you were one of the best changes. I love you baby. I can’t wait to keep adding to our story and creating more adventures with you. ❤️ #tamingoftheshrew #shakespearepowercouple #theatrecouple https://www.instagram.com/p/CdpYwpvuHOD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
