First real class at @theaviarymn this morning! 75 minutes of aerials, fitness moves, and yoga/stretching at the end. SO much fun and I definitely worked up a sweat. I was a little concerned I wouldn't be able to keep up with some of the moves but I picked them up easily and was able to do more than I thought I would! The silks definitely dig in a little during some of the moves but nothing I cant deal with, and I know I will get used to it too. On Sunday (08/27/2017), I attended a Circus in the Park event at Loring Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after which I visited one of the sponsors, @theaviarympls , and tried out the aerial hammock. That was only my second time trying out the device, the first being in June, and each occasion has been so much fun! I look forward to doing it again sometime and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who has the chance! The starfish! This one was HARD to stay in but looks pretty neat 😉 I hadn't been to @theaviarymn in awhile due to a forearm strain (caused by a formerly broken elbow that I *probably* need surgery on) so today was a challenge! It's always fun though, even when it hurts. Tried another super fun class at @theaviarymn tonight! Fly Fit Sculpt with Matthew was great (although I wish they had heavier weights than 2lbs because #theguns 😂) but the aerial lifts are a good way to break up the "fitness" portions of the class! Tried the Fly Legs, Abs, and A** class tonight @theaviarymn and it was a killer! It's so funny how "in shape" you think you are until you try a workout that you're not used to... And then you get a reality check 😂 This aerial fitness stuff is pretty addicting guys. Who wants to come with me to a class?!? Today I began a little journey into aerial yoga/fitness at @theaviarympls that I will be trying for at least the next couple months! I was excited to try it although a little nervous because I get dizzy & lightheaded easily but it far exceeded my expectations and I only got a little lightheaded once! The space is beautiful, the instructor was super fun and made everything very easy to follow, and it was overall an awesome experience! One thing I had heard was that it can be a little uncomfortable where the silks press on your body but for me it was totally tolerable - if you aren't willing to get a little uncomfortable you will never get better! 💪🏻 I can't wait to go back and try more classes that they offer!
