So turns out I was wrong. This is the Tamora pierce book that I've owned for a while amd kust haven't gotten around to reading. I'd just assumed that it was another Tortall book, I never realized that she had a whole other book universe. So I guess I still have a whole bunch (13!) of her books to read still 😮😁✨🙏 If the books set in this other universe are anywhere as good as the tortall books then I am in heaven! Once I get the Numair book and the Spy's Guide to Tortall, I'll start on these other books. I wanted to hide the potential spoiler for the stand but still wanted to respond to your message about nick. that is a really rough chapter to read and one of the most painful deaths :( I'm still not over it from my first read. However, keep on reading! nick's story may not yet be over :)
