background:

parents separated when she was younger, and mama carted her off to canada claiming she was giving yeoreum a good education & a leg up by raising her in an english speaking country.

moves back to korea years later, because mom scams her way into marrying some well-off guy. mom's happy to let her go-- for yr's sake, ofc. korea's education system is better than canada's. her new man's pockets are deeper than whatever child support check papa han could ever write.

she's cast by everlast through instagram dms, and decides 2 do it for shits and giggles (and because she's got dreams of being the next jiyeon and roly-polying her way through life. mostly shits and giggles, though the popularity boost doesn't hurt either.)

the giggles don't last long, though, because reality checks her. hard. while she falls in love with being an idol, she struggles with the rigorous standards, only ever too much or too little.

eventually, she makes the decision to quit in high school and focus on her studies.

spoiler: she doesn't! so here she is, a high school graduate with mediocre results that get her nowhere near seoul universities. her dad tells her to stop having one foot out the door at all times and figure out what exactly it is that she wants and to focus on that goal.

a twist of fate, and she finds herself on a survival show. this action will have consequences!

starts off strong, but every tv show needs its ratings, and she's an easy villain. people start to criticise her ambition, and she looks more greedy than desperate. a hate train eventually starts, which she takes to heart. stressed and tired, she ends up snapping at a fan-favourite contestant during a lapse of judgment, and ruh-roh!

gets kicked off, unsurprisingly. she sticks around only for the final episode, as contractually obligated, but after that, it's back to the land of moose... meese... for her. doesn't want to talk about it, but...

releases a self-written song on soundcloud, which leads to culture creative's scouting her, and the rest is history.

a study in being split between two worlds, dealing with the fact that everything you wanted isn't quite that, and being everything everywhere all at once.

one of f/f's producers and composers, and will brag about her group to anyone unlucky enough to be within earshot.

in that vein, also very confident. never arrogant, because she knows that some shiny new thing could just as quickly take her/their place, so she works insanely hard to keep herself & the group relevant and in the public eye.

started to work on the group’s sound in 2015. she since then she’s worked on every comeback in someway including, song-writing / producing, choreography, styling. she’s also done this for other groups canon groups in the rp as well as it being one of her main focuses of income for smaller npc groups in the universe

somewhat of a standard, subpar childhood tbh. born out of an affair btwn her mother and her father's (?) best friend in l.a. and it's something that sticks with her constantly: a reminder that she really wasn't supposed to happen. her father draws back significantly after, who ends up divorcing her mother afterwards because it's. a lot!!! she moves on quickly, hopping between boyfriends and husbands and affairs in between.

aecha's raised a lot by her aunts and an uncle, who try to minimize the effects of instability to no avail. if she's here, she knows she will end up there in a matter of weeks. aecha gets used to change really fast - she doesn't like it; but she gets used to it. it's easier to get used to it as opposed to fight it and resist it.

ends up officially moving in with her fifth stepfather; moving in with the dude on his tangerine farm in jeju. it's the closest thing to stability aecha has ever known honestly, and her favorite memories are there. her mom ends up moving and disappearing out of her life not too long after, whisking away to another country with another potential husband. unbeknownst to aecha, her mother finally settled down with this one and had children too.

ends up joining a singing club at school purely on a dare (pls don't tell her she can't do something because she will purely in spite of it) and ends up liking it, alot! becomes close with the teacher running the club and eventually is scouted by culture creative staff, who was a former alumni and friend of said teacher.

aecha is considerably known for her ice princess demeanor. very stoic, sharp, in general icy persona. (think irene, krystal, etc) at the start of her career, she became pretty obsessed with what ppl thought of her and tried super hard to curate her music style to hit that appeal (#mommyissues), which is why her first album sounds so different from everything released afterwards.

learned to stop overexplaining and forcing other people to know her, so she gave up, which is why the bitchy persona stuck. she also stopped trying to justify herself to others and well, that's what the public was left with. the type to let others run and believe what they want - wont go out of her way to correct it. is very much this emoji 😐 on the outside

inwards however!!!! aecha is soft like butter. it's rare to see honestly, she really keeps to herself as much since she's a public figure and yadda yadda, but she's so soft hearted it's a little sad. sometimes her eyes can give away what her face will not, and you can see her almost beg with them. she loves deeply and strongly, and values platonic friendship over romantic or familial ones. she's very supportive of her friends and goes out of her way (sending flowers, cafe carts, reposting on her socials, etc) to make sure its known.

shes a woman of a handful of words, her expressions almost always give her away, but she's slowly evolving into becoming much less logical focused and blending in her deep emotions in as well to her craft and herself. definitely multilayered, a chameleon, and always questioning her existence.

currently: aecha is working in the background to release an ep at some point soon, but it's coming around slowly. she hasn't had the most inspiration or motivation so it's a long awaited piece. she's been more focused on her modelling aspects and a few talk show / radio appearances. she also wants to focus more on producing and songwriting - definitely working behind the scenes as of late.

she'd like to dive into acting at some point - but is just starting to take acting lessons. when she's not doing work stuff, she has biweekly pilates and pottery lessons she takes. likes to dip her fingers into a little bit of everything.

HISTORY :

while his legal name is SEUNG JAEYEON, he is currently known as KIM YEJUN to the public and prefers this name in private as well. ( i'll be referring to him as yejun from now on! )

born january 20, 1999 as the oldest seung child.

grew up in the spotlight thanks to his parents and took well to it since he didn't really know any better. wasn't camera - shy at all and was the perfect oldest son for his parents.

at age 11, yejun wanted to start acting lessons ( after dabbling in many other creative fields that he still is fond of as an adult ). was put through the best acting academies thanks to his parents and, at this point, was milking it for all that it was worth.

really relished in being the center of attention and made sure to be the best wherever he was so that he could stand out.

unfortunately, this led to a series of bad decisions as a teen — he ended up falling in with the wrong crowd as he was entering high school.

a group of idol trainees, instagram influencers, rich kids, and wannabes — it was honestly the perfect recipe for disaster — and it struck hard when an exposé was released detailing underage drinking, smoking, and other acts that the group would partake in.

miraculously, ( and probably due in some part to his parents pulling strings ) yejun wasn't identified in the reports — rather, two public trainees took most of the damage while he and the others were able to finish high school quietly.

this was the start of the end of yejun's relationship with his father — to appease him, yejun honored his wish for him to essentially f*ck off and go to the military as soon as he graduated so that he would come home a " reformed man ".

after serving ( and taking some time to grow his hair back ), yejun took his skillset from before everything went down and tried to make use of it — again, he was blessed to be signed on with adagio in 2020.

after several minor roles / cameos, he got a lead role in the webseries " blue birthday " in 2021. he also started his modeling career.

most recently, he was honored a best new actor award for his performance as yeon sieun, the main character of the drama, " weak hero class 1 " and has started to gain a lot of fans and attention over the last year for the role + his modeling in particular.

walked nyfw this year and is planning to focus mostly on modeling for the rest of the year.

PERSONALITY :

yejun is honestly one of those rich kids who never had anything to worry about, but now finds that they don't really know anything about life and it's hitting as a 24 - year - old trying to navigate being a functioning adult in a ~ society ~.

has been trying to get where he is on his own ( meaning without his parents helping or making use of the seung legacy ), but the last year has shown a disproportionate decline of his mental health while his popularity rose.

just not sure what he wants anymore? and it's affecting how he approaches new work / opportunities / life in general.

king of making excuses, dodging people, and always trying to convince the world that he is COMPLETELY fine ( except you can see the dark circles, the way his hands shake if he hasn't stepped out for too long, and the way he bounces his knee at 300 mph when he sits down ).

tries to surround himself with art, plants, vibrant groups of people that he can just blend into, #GOODVIBES so that he doesn't end up rotting in his room ( but usually ends up rotting in his room ).

he's that one post about an introvert finding two extrovert friends who can just entertain each other while he goes nonverbal.

his way of venting is through acting. his role as yeon sieun was very important to him because of the emotions he had to portray for the role, which ended up feeling like his own. the last episode in particular was cathartic for him.

no siblings unfortunately :( it's a wonder her parents found the time to have her

her mom was an always busy financial analyst who seemed to never not be on the phone talking business, while her father was the most respected divorce attorney in south korea due to his discretion when dealing with high profile cases.

100000% mostly raised by her nannies. her parents were overly serious and not very affectionate. they loved jinseon, but they definitely didn't express that in the ways such a sensitive child needed them to. sort of left her with a lack of self love that she overcompensates with kindness to others.

as her parents wanted her to fall into a high paying career, jinseon was one of those overly scheduled kids who was just shuffled from lesson to lesson to lesson. even her meals were listed in a planner. she learned to love and rely heavily on routine even as a child.

one of those lessons happened to be ballet through which she discovered her love of performing and knack for tightly controlled yet elegant movements. her instructor noted her agility and recommended her for a beginner's figure skating program.

fell head over heels for the feeling of being on the ice...it was the first of her lessons that she really connected with in a major way.

got rly good rly fast and made her coaches take notice. she had tremendous self-discipline and wouldn't miss a practice for anything. TRUE ICE PRINCESS THINGZ! the things she mostly struggled with were anxiety and her own confidence, but she found it easier to fake it than give up.

it wasn't long until she was competing in respected events around the country and eventually, the world!

the way her coaches invested in her allowed her to go far, even though they could be extremely harsh and the practices equally grueling. she did her best to channel everything into motivation and become the best at what she did.

her first championship routine was preceded by her first of many anxiety attacks, but quitting wasn't an option. not with sponsors and coaches and parents all bearing down on her, demanding perfection.

she soldiered on and managed to reach the podium at her first and many other world championship events. she was quickly gaining popularity among fans of the sport; any practices that weren't closed would get increasingly full of spectators wanting to see what she did next.

she especially grew in popularity among younger people with aspirations of following in her footsteps. because of jinseon's charisma and pretty face, there were always the cheeky questions of when her drama debut would come being thrown around. she was so focused on competing however that she had little room for other ambitions.

her routines well known for her wickedly fast scratch spin (nearly six revolutions per second) and perfectly fluid triple axels.

the republic of korea's noc eventually came calling and jinseon was officially chosen to compete in the 2014 winter games in sochi, which is around the same time everlast entertainment first took note of her!

ngl, swiping gold away from russia's almost unbeatable skating team in their own country was an extremely scary time for her, esp being only 16 at the time, but the graceful way in which she publicly handled the pressures of it all was widely praised and eventually earned her a contract at everlast entertainment.

she was getting to do commercials and magazine covers and interviews, as long as her management team signed off on them. it was something that resembled freedom but was actually far from it, not that she seemed to care at the time.

jinseon became so swept up in being the perfect teen role model, and eventually the perfect young adult role model. it was a lot to take on, but she shouldered everything with a smile, only pausing to allow her anxiety to grip her when she was in the confines of solitude.

when the 2022 winter games come around, everything is seemingly business as usual. she's sticking to her status quo and waiting for her ice time when she catches wind of another competitor's intention to bust out a surprise 4lo.

her coaches fly into a panic, thinking this may sink her chances of winning gold. their solution is for jinseon to go even bigger, landing the first ever quad axel, something she nor any other skater had ever successfully done in competition up until that point.

maybe it was her anxiety, maybe it was the olympic mind games, or maybe it was the fact that she simply wasn't skilled enough. she attempted the jump and it went catastrophically. in an attempt to catch herself, her skate hit the ice early and well before she was able to brace for the impact. she felt an excruciating sear through her entire leg, especially around her knee. no one had told her anything yet, but deep down, she knew. as she lay sobbing on the ice, she knew she wasn't coming back from this.

both her mcl and acl were pretty much obliterated, having to be surgically reconstructed shortly after the games. as she expected, she was told she'd never be able to strap on skates at a competitive level ever again, if even at a recreational level.

she felt rly lost for awhile, not really knowing what to do with herself. she had to go through physical therapy to help heal her knee and regain mobility, but a good deal of her pain was mental and emotional as well. she'd essentially gone through a loss and felt as if she'd let down everyone in the process. for awhile, she wasn't rly seen in public and mostly stayed at her home in seoul.

it was quite honestly her fanbase that got her thru this time! their continued support despite her not being able to do cool figure skating jumps anymore meant more than she could ever express to them. their insistence that she try out acting was p much what made her take that leap, once she was mostly back to physical health. for the first time since her injury, she felt like her life wasn't over.

her management team was far from happy about her auditioning for kang hanna in agency. they felt like a less conceited, chaebol role sans a romance plotline would be a better first outing for her, but she wanted something different! something that didn't feel so controlled! something that didn't make her constantly think about what she had lost!

here's some highlights of said plotline from agency.

it was an uplifting experience getting to step outside of herself and take on the role of someone with such a different personality. it allowed her to detach from her own situation for a few weeks and focus on something else entirely.

everlast entertainment is still trying to keep her in the box they've carved out for her, but jinseon is starting to see some rly green grass outside of it 👀

she's always been the good girl and the nation's olympic sweetheart, but she's increasingly curious about the other side of fame. ppl who just don't give a f*ck?? kinda heroic if you ask jinseon. she just doesn't have it in her. she's far too timid, so she just admires from afar.

she can be overly sensitive sometimes and her feelings have always been reaaaal fragile. she'll pretend she's not hurt by something but it's usually fairly obvious. she gkhgljkj remembers the shit you do to her though like real trust is hard to win back with her. she'll be nice but things won't be the same if true betrayal happens!

loves friendship and love but is often too scared to seek it out! what if it's one sided? what if they downright hate her? she isn't the type to speak up when she likes someone or even wants to be friends due to fear of rejection, but getting past that barrier has been pretty blissful in the past.

super short tl;dr of her background

grew up as an only child with a lot of expectations placed on her since she was young. she tried to be what her parents wanted, she swears, but being off the rails is just so much more fun.

really leaned into her artistic / creative side as a teenager, which eventually led to her leaving home for seoul and auditioning at hearthub records. she managed to get a spot for an upcoming girl group, but the project was eventually put on "indefinite hiatus."

harin honestly didn't mind; she knew she didn't want to share the spotlight with other members in a group, no thanks! when she was approached by a culture creative rep before her contract was even up, she agreed to sign to the new label asap.

november 2022, harin debuted as soloist arin, a "self-producing" artist who's honestly more of an internet celebrity than a kpop idol.

about harin

she's been pushing the boundaries of being "company-owned" since the very beginning, sneaking around her managers and slipping up with her language on instagram lives. it's quickly become part of her charm though as a more "down-to-earth" artist.

really as unfiltered as a public figure can get. she still covers up the ugly parts, of course, but she's quick to speak her mind, stand up to staff, and snap back when interviewers get a little too personal.

honestly i was generous when i gave her a 3 out of 5 reputation. dw she'll be down to 0.5 soon! ( /j or am i ).

as bubbly and weird as she is, harin is honestly still pretty self-conscious, prefers her alone time, and makes sure to keep everyone at an arm's length. she's here to have fun, above all else, and will curate her environment to her liking.

spends most of her free time making music, partying, hanging out at other people's apartments and getting drunk, and making messes for her managers to clean up. she's really been pushing her luck recently though, so she's trying to cut back from being too wild...

born in daejeon, south korea (nov 24 1995) but was basically raised in the countryside by his grandmother while mom worked in the city.

his grandmother was the one to kickstart his dreams to be onscreen, always watching tv dramas and reality shows with him every evening.

the family moved up to seoul together when he was done with high school, which is where he was scouted into a midtier company as an idol trainee.

didn't know anything about performing and it showed. but for the lack of talent, he made up for with a crazy work ethic, and he showed major improvements during his training period.

in 2015, he debuted in a 7-member boy group that flopped hard. after just one comeback, the group disbanded may 2017.

the rest of the year was spent in one massive slump, taking part time jobs and some small modeling gigs as a site model to make ends meet while wondering wtf he was going to do with his life.

got a casting call for an "idol revival" show (similar to "the unit") and ended up joining the show with 2 of his former group members. the show helped push him back into the spotlight as a charismatic leader figure who was great at catching screen time and votes. he made it to the final episode, but didn't quite make the cut for the final lineup of the group.

following another heartbreak, he really didn't know what to expect his life to throw at him next, so a contract with adagio was a happy surprise.

a couple shoot with a senior model under adagio catapulted him back into the spotlight, and he's been garnering opportunities and attention since.

his slow crawl to success has honestly only just started, even though it's been 8 years since his first official debut. he's trying not to let the lost time get to him in case he falls back into another slump, but as soon as work slows down a little, he can't help but feel like he's fading again. (we'll see what evil ways i have planned to get him the attention he wants so bad...)

yohan is the picturesque "adagio actor/model standard 3000 max." he's likable, focused on his work, doesn't create any issues, and keeps his distance from the public in a way that shelters his image (think cha eunwoo but way less popular).

has intense focus when he has something to do, but it's mostly because he gets easily distracted if he's not putting his all into the task at hand.

hates to feel stuck, so he's always finding ways to seek out something new to experience. new food, new feelings, new friends, new lovers; he'll try anything once.

he doesn't exactly feel very approachable when he's off the clock, but once you get him started, he'll talk your ear off.

a people pleaser. he hates to assume so he'll ask a lot of questions or just seem clueless in personal situations until he knows exactly what the other party wants. (has accidentally rejected many advances in this manner...)

just kind of a work-obsessed idiot who feels like time is running out fast for him and knows he'll have a breakdown the moment he has a second to think. :-\

TW: infidelity, bullying & a guy being a guy

park byunghee was born in seoul, south korea, on april 13, 1996. both his parents are blue-collar workers and byunghee grew up pretty poor.

he got a scholarship for a fancy kids rich school and suffered intense bullying there for a long time. not only was he angry but also very envious of how the rich kids could just get away with anything simply by having money. set his mind into becoming famous one day.

wanted to audition right after school but had to do his military enlistment. left, got three part time jobs to pay for singing and acting classes and managed to audition for a bunch of companies, only making it into a very, very tiny one.

debuted in 2017 in a very flop bg that sold approximately 1k copies through the two and a half years they were active. company went bankrupt in 2020 and byunghee made about 100k won that entire time.

not one to give up, went back to three part time jobs to pay for more classes. an ex-manager, who was now working under secret garden, hooked byunghee up with a private audition and they accepted him as an actor.

started acting but clearly wasn't the focus of the company so he kept doing web-dramas that were very niche (including a bl). begged his manager to get him something bigger to participate in, ended up in love lab experiment, a netflix dating show (think single's inferno-esque).

got a relationship and a career out of that and started making, out of a single sponsored post, more money that he had ever seen in his life.

relationship ended for reasons of byunghee being a Guy and cheating and immediately he started seeing a decrease in interest for him. pivoted into releasing solo music, banking on his skills and the 2 million instagram followers to sustain him and his debut did moderately well. now byunghee is trying to find other avenues through which he can keep his status and his income.

personality:

an extroverted introvert, if that makes sense? enjoys a good party and being around friends, but won't seek out connections and definitely gets drained when spending too much time outside.

super fucking dedicated to anything he sets his mind to. has a "i want it i got it" mentality.

on the other hand, has never heard of an impulse control.

both a fuckboy and extremely possessive in relationships, which bleeds into his friendships as well.

rhiannon (haewon) jung was born in seoul, south korea, on september 19, 1999. she's the daughter of a film studies professor and a musician/professor who's part of the london symphony orchestra

trained in violin, guitar e bass as well as vocals (both contemporary and operatic) from a young age. didn't originally plan on trying to be an idol, but on a whim decided to go for it and auditioned for companies after she finished her sixth form.

got in a smaller company, hated her time as a trainee, and then ended up in the competition show that formed viv:id. debuted as the main vocalist of the group. never really stood out (never really wanted to) and was always visibly uncomfortable with having too much of the spotlight.

she was... so unhappy when viv:id disbanded. wanted to go back home right after, but for reasons (noted below) she had to spend a little longer in south korea and ended up being offered a contract with creative culture.

debuted as a soloist in late 2021, hoping to be an alt indie girl, but then it backfired when her music continued accidentally topping charts.

since last year, she's been putting effort into killing her reputation a bit. getting tattoos, being pictured going out often, hanging out with people who might not have the best reputation. just enough that she will have a dedicated fanbase but not be under the general public's radar anymore.

[illness & infertility] the reason she had to stay in seoul was because she had to undergo a total hysterectomy because of her long time struggles with endometrioses. she told exactly One person about it and locked herself in her apartment for the three weeks of rest post-op and hasn't brought it up to anyone else (except her ex-boyfriend) since.

personality:

very much an extrovert. will walk up to befriend anyone if she thinks they are interesting. (just doesn't think people are interesting all that often.)

constantly stuck between wanting to plan her life down to the minimal details and being too much of a mess and doing a lot of things on a whim. the virgo and libra in her birth chart fight because of that all the time.

okay so he was born in san francisco and considers it his hometown but did a fair bit of traveling with his mom for her job growing up. full list of places pending but probably includes like tokyo, london, seoul, queenstown nz, among others. he flitted between fancy private schools in san francisco and some other places and homeschooling during a few brief periods depending on where he was (and you can tell!). was super into music and dance as a kid.

he moved to los angeles shortly before high school and attended a performing arts high school (you can tell!)

he always knew he wanted to pursue music, but he really went all-in during high school. he uploaded covers and original songs on youtube and soundcloud, spent his fridays at open mics, etc. in his senior year of high school, he connected with a songwriting/music production group based and he signed with them shortly after turning eighteen. he worked with their la headquarters initially.

anyway, he worked as a songwriter and producer throughout 2015 and 2016, with credits on several major korean and u.s. artists (including eternal's "chained up" and "hot enough")

he also debuted as a solo artist with "put my hands on you", which was technically his american debut. it went pretty under the radar, as did his second us single "love".

near the back half of 2015, he started spending more time in seoul as he worked on song for a korean debut. his first ep and korean debut was released in 2016. it was more popular than his american debut, if still not... you know, a top selling album of the year or anything. enough people listened to land him a couple of brand deals at least!

he ended up moving to seoul around the time the ep came out. his move to seoul was supposed to be short-term at first, but he's still here seven years later so...

he released an additional single album as a solo artist before parting ways amicably with the company in 2017

exact timelines can be discussed with the other deep blue members but i imagine ash started working with deep blue around february (?) that year, only a couple of months before he left his company

anyway he fell in love with deep blue and was all-in when the opportunity for them to sign to culture creative arose. (in my headcanon, although again this can be discussed with other deep blue members) despite being the last member to join, culture creative nudged him toward an official leader role because he had a couple of years under his belt working in the industry in a professional capacity already

he participates a fair amount in songwriting and producing for the band (and very heavily in his solo music). he also continues to write for other artists, including angelic, true north, mirrorworld, and future/femme

2019 was a big year for him! he went on superband, where the cover he participated in of ilysb went viral. it earned him quite a few fans but also began a narrative that he wasn't fully invested in deep blue because people were like, dude, you already have a band why are you competing to be in another one?

he wasn't in the winning team / band so it didn't matter anyway lmao

he released some music on soundcloud during deep blue's early years, but his first official solo single since being a part of deep blue came out in 2021, "instagram". this is his most known song as a solo artist and even helped get him a mama award for composer of the year.

these days, he's still the main vocalist / guitarist / leader of deep blue. loves deep blue to death no matter what anyone says

(some people question his loyalty since he debuted as a solo artist first and eventually did get back into releasing solo music — he refutes any such accusations by saying some music works better with the band and some music works better solo — and also because of his stint on superband)

things have been a little slower for deep blue release-wise the past couple of years so he has been working more as a soloist again, particularly venturing back into the us market with all-english tracks. he'd love for deep blue to drop another project again soon though!

nepotism only gets u so far tho... and after a year of training she's sick of it. ends up being much more interested in studio time than sitting through japanese lessons, and she leaves when given the option to. joins a survival show a couple months after, because she thinks that may be a little bit more up her alley.

spoiler, it's not! pulling all-nighters just to practice songs she hates and having to handhold bitches who can't even sing on-key... she's absolutely sick of it and it kinda shows! pann-girls have a field day with her supposed attitude. see: chopped up gifs of her glaring at other contestants and having less than absolutely glowing reactions. she's a fake bitch who's trying too hard to be pretty, etc... really, the only good thing that comes out of it is a conversation w/ a producer who tells her she might like it over at culture.

during her audition with them, she tells them straight up she wants to be a singer-songwriter & be allowed to learn more about composing/producing. they're more than happy to, but her first day on the job they put her in a 3-hour dance class. #scammed

buuuuut they also do give her lots of studio time and she's mentored by many wonderful producers, and given opportunities to produce for others even as a trainee so she's a very content girlie.

by the time f/f's started as a predebut project, she's a shoo-in. she's trained for a long-ass time, and the girl's got PIPES on top of what she's got going on for her as a producer! what she doesn't expect, though, is being made the group's leader-- she's one of the younger members, and the role comes as a surprise. she takes it in relative stride, though, and does her best to step up to the role.

personality:

she's currently known best as f/f's leader, main vocal & producer; some think she's only the main vocalist because she has a hand in creating the songs... and honestly? they're not completely wrong! she just thinks she's the best vocalist so she should be getting those parts... lol...

both laidback but also a hard-ass as a leader; runs a super tight ship during practicing/recording. has a super sharp eye and monitors all their rehearsals/performances super closely, and doesn't mince her words when it comes to giving feedback. very much sakura in this clip... believes that they all have to be giving their very best on stage. couldn't care less about what they do outside of it, though. dating? doing drugs? whatever, just don't get caught! is always on the girls' side, though, and is clear when communicating between them and the company.

doesn't do a whole lot outside of the group-- partially to maintain her privacy, partially because she cbf. does a live maybe once every 2 months and fucks off. whatever she does decide to do is very carefully selected so she can maintain her image.

speaking of image!!!!! this is something i'm very excited to talk about and have evolve. she's currently successfully keeping up the perfect idol image very well, but it's also very... distant, in a sense. it's obvious she's not #real, but she's also manufacturing some #real moments. not too many, though- can't have people thinking she's just some girl next door :/ in a nutshell? on a self-made pedestal. love to hate her, hate to love her, she's had no real scandals or controversies after debuting with f/f and she plans to keep it like that, tqvm!

doyeon makes friends pretty easily; he doesn't have any pretenses about the sorts of people he wants to hang out with, and the only real requisite is that they're honest. however, he does admittedly tend to be drawn particularly to people with a certain quirk or oddness, or even misery, about them.

as a friend, he's loyal and unafraid to call people on their bullshit, which is why he appreciates reciprocity in honesty. he enjoys a bit of back and forth banter, platonic flirting, etc. he's a playful chap; it's how he shows affection. skinship is case-by-case, but never off the table. he's down for most things and is pretty much a must-call in a heist situation.

his love language is time spent, so he's likely the sort of friend to be happy doing as little as accompanying his friend on an errand run or sitting next to them while they both do their own thing. he's an extrovert, (or an ambivert, at least) and that alone probably justifies it in his head. some time is better than no time, especially when you look at how precious of a resource free time is in this line of work. he's a carer, he cares. don't mention it.

her parents are famous ballad singers seung kyungtae and kim jangmi, big stars from the ‘90s/’00s, a this point they’re retired and mostly keep out of the public eye but they make the occassion appearance, never Really shaking their celebrity status

as the youngest daughter, eunchae is in fact their darling baby princess who has never done and could never do anything wrong in her life

needless to say she grew up filthy spoiled, her parents werent around that much and

in school eunchae was very popular, not that hard when you’re pretty and rich, but most of her friendships were very shallow and superficial and it involved a whole lot more backstabbing and gossiping than genuine friendships should which Also didn’t really teach her much more about how to maintain healthy interpersonal connections

the cummulative experiences through her formative years left her her with some crippling people pleasing issues, eunchae has a pathological need to be liked, by everyone, and she’s willing to bend herself into whatever shape it takes to achieve that

that’s also how she ended up wanting to enter the entertainment industry, a family friend told her that she was pretty enough to be a celebrity and her teenage brain quickly reasoned that celebrities were Very Widely Beloved, her parents being a shining example even post their career

HELLO! ! ! anth here, coming at you live, from your area! i come from the eastern timezone, he/him pronouns, and am currently twenty-six years old! i'm here to introduce you to one of my favorite people in the entire world, my son, the light of my life, park duri! he's better known simply as duri when it comes to the entertainment industry. he's a singer, songwriter-producer, model, & television personality! he's your friendly neighborhood puppy, big ol' sunshine, and much like a teddy bear. without further ado, on with the show! please like this post if you'd like to plot!

as just a friendly reminder, there will be mentions of a car accident, parental death, injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and a few other things. however, everything will be properly tagged if you'd like to skip those parts!

duri is born on december 25th, 2000 at 9:48pm in seoul, south korea! his parents were both unmarried college students at the time of his birth, something that was completely out of the norm. but, the park and oh families never quite seemed to be normal, in some sense. they were responsible, however, and very much in love. he comes from the itaewon neighborhood of seoul.

spends a lot of time with his grandparents and family when he's really young, simply because bongju and aeri are very busy with college, and they often took the reigns of raising him in the evening and on the weekends - while doing their education and jobs, just to make sure they could fully take care of their son.

after they graduate, they wed in 2004 when duri is three years old. it's a spring wedding, right at the peak of the cherry blossom season. a time full of happiness and duri not really knowing what was going on, but he enjoyed every moment of it because he was with his parents for the majority of the ceremony. it's a nice memory, sweet for everyone in attendance.

CAR ACCIDENT TW, PARENTAL DEATH TW, INJURY TW // it's 2006, duri's five, and he's on the way to school, in the car, with his parents. it's like any spring morning, though it's a cold day like spring mornings tend to be with the winter chill still working its way out - but, it was a normal, usual morning for the park family... until it wasn't. they're struck by another car that morning and it ends up being pretty bad - taking the lives of both of his parents, duri would injure his leg, and he was the only one essentially able to be saved by a college student and other bystanders that saw it happen. // END TW.

following this, his uncle, bongki, and aunt, choa, would ultimately end up taking responsibility for duri, becoming his legal guardians. they didn't want bongju and bongki's parents or aeri's parents to have to worry about taking care of the young boy; especially with the fact that he was a handful now (more in the sense of mental and physical state.) between running the successful café and things of that nature, they would be able to care for duri, and give him the care he would so desperately need for a while.

they would make his room in that apartment above the successful café, heart and seoul, really nice, and comfortable, and give him the things that he wants; he needs. it's somewhere that becomes a safe haven, even if sometimes at night, it felt like it was anything but. but, he'll always be fond of his childhood bedroom in that apartment because of how much love his uncle and aunt had put into it.

PTSD TW, INJURY TW, ANXIETY TW // duri was a bit of a handful following the accident, simply because they couldn’t fully tell what was wrong with him, besides for the leg injury that was being cared for with physical therapy. they would soon learn that he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety from the accident, causing him to have to go into therapy, as well as grief counseling to help him to process everything and get better. duri, would attend therapy for many years to really help him out. though, he still has a lot of synonyms to this day of both ptsd and anxiety that seemingly won’t go away. // END TW.

INJURY TW // the injury that duri received to his leg was something that would be a bit bothersome every now and then, especially when he would overwork the leg. but, he would say it isn’t too, too bad, truth be told - he can deal with it, even though it can be really bothersome. he’s kind of just… ignored it, but physical therapy had helped and later, working out would help pretty often too. but, it’s still something that’s bothersome and he should really look after it, but he tends to just work through it, truth be told. // END TW.

when he's young, he gets super into music. it's almost out of nowhere, but he was always someone that just really liked music. so, bongki and choa - as well as the rest of the family - decided to really curate this interest of duri's. instead of going to cram school, he was going to a music and vocal academy - he'd learn piano, violin, and guitar, as well as take vocal classes. he loves it, it's all he wants to do, truth be told, it was clear he was meant to do this.

he was good at school, truth be told; he was always studying, relying on himself to do so because he wasn't attending cram school or any type of academic academies, considering he traded it for music and vocal. he was always known as the rather friendly, sweet, kind, and nice kid in school, he was friends with every person. this was something that caused duri to always be the class representative each year in school because of the fact that he got good grades, and he was friends with everyone. though, a lot of the time he was kind of walked over and used because the teachers really liked duri, so students easily got things.

duri surprises a lot of people at school, too, during a talent show when the big voice comes out of the kid who's always doing his work, the nice kid, the reliable, diligent kid. he's scouted here at the talent show, but he doesn't actually believe anyone is who they actually say they are; so, he never does anything with the scouts information.

at age fourteen, in 2015, duri opens up a youtube channel, duri's record shop. he had just gotten equipment to do this a month prior and he was really excited. he uses this channel to upload song covers, since he's just always really loves to sing, this was an outlet outside of talent shows and vocal classes. he gets channel subs and views; as well as a decent amount of comments that he answers. but, duri isn't an influencer or anything of that nature because he didn't have a consistent upload schedule.

as a teenager, he's kind of really ambitious, truth be told; he was already doing a lot. but, as a teenager is when duri gets about 6 certifications to his name. he gets level 10 certifications in piano, violin, and guitar. he achieves level 5 certifications in english and japanese as well, two languages he had been learning since he was young. as a teenager, as well, he also gets his hands on a vocal teaching certification. so, as you can see, duri's kind of always liked the adventure of learning and diving head first in those kinds of things. ambitious in some sort of sense, but he really just loved those things and he was constantly just learning them; especially when he couldn't sleep.

in october of 2017, duri uploads a brand new cover to his youtube channel. he decides to cover his all-time favorite, i will always love you by whitney houston. he did the same routine he always did, recording the song in the corner of his birthday, before editing the video on his bed on his laptop, and then uploading it. he thinks nothing of it, as he usually does, and then a week later... all of a sudden, it had blown up. he gets a bunch of comments, views, subs, and everything in between. he does his best to respond to as much as he can.

this viral hit is something that causes duri to receive a lot of people trying to scout him, love calls if you will. though he ends up accepting secret garden's offer due to the promise of debut.

he attends somewhat of a private audition with his uncle and aunt soon after accepting their offer, going through all the ropes, before signing upon the dotted line.

he's thrust into preparations for a debut as a soloist. in truth, he kind of always thought he was going to be a group member when he dreamed of this life. but, he's more than okay with being a soloist because of the type of music he'll be doing. not to mention, it's clear secret garden wanted to utilize the vocals that he holds. he debuts on january 1st, 2018 with the mini album, at gwanghwamun.

duri writes, composes, and produces all of his tracks. only about two of them are composed and produced by him, rather than written, and those are the ones that are covers of songs, rather than originals.

he's a rather strong vocalist; he's got a voice that's really made for ballads and really just power vocal songs. which is all of the songs that duri really tends to do, they stay in that realm of using his incredible vocals; which he's really happy because duri just loves to sing, and loves to really show off his voice. honestly it just really makes him happy??

luckily, with the type of music duri does as a soloist, he doesn't have to dance. which he's kind of really thankful for because he's almost kind of insecure about it? plus, he'd rather not have his leg really flare up from such movement. though, he does know a good amount of dancing and you could get him in on the tiktok challenges. but, there's really only a few times he'll actually be a dancer and all that.

duri's a very sweet guy. he's super kind, rather friendly, and can be a bit talkative. he's super bubbly, someone who kind of just giggles a lot because it's almost like it needs to get out. he's definitely charming in those type of ways; the way he's super kind, sweet, bubbly, friendly, reliable, helpful, and all that stuff. he's everything sugar, to put it simply. honestly, he's really just a soft guy!!

a bit of a crier like a lot of his emotions just come out as crying. though it's also because there's just that part of him that's a bit gloomy because of the trauma, that's neither here nor there. he definitely cried big time on every single award and stuff that he's won.

he's a happy boy, even though sometimes he has a hard time with his mental health. in a sense, he kind of masks his bad days with how he usually is, especially because he doesn't want to burden anyone with his own things.

holds the energy of a puppy, but also is the sun that's shining down. he's a super bright person. honestly, there's not one mean bone in his body, he doesn't even know the definition of being mean.

will 100% try to be your friend, not even gonna lie. he's just a real friendly guy, probably believes you're friends with him after one conversation!

his image is definitely just his own personality, truth be told. there's really no other way for duri to be. on top of being known as the sweet, bubbly, friendly, nice guy to the public - he also holds an approachability image, a born to be an idol image, as well as a good leader image.

duri lives by himself in what could probably be considered a humble apartment? it's an apartment with a loft that has one bedroom (though, it's probably in a more luxury apartment building in a sense.) however, duri's designed it to have his bedroom on the loft and he uses the bedroom as more of like an office/library and where his music stuff is. he's lived in the apartment for 5 years, and his family had paid for the apartment until he started making his own profit. he could probably get a much bigger apartment, but he's very much into his current apartment.

big time collector of cute things, he really likes cute things. so, he's got a lot of plushies and stuff like that, considering they're really just his favorite.

he's a big-time plant and flower person, so he's got a lot of plants around because he feels it brings life and greenery to a place. they make him happy.

big time book reader as well, so he's got a lot of books, and you can probably often see him reading books as well at random times. sometimes, he really just likes the quiet time and escaping into books, in some sense of it.

duri really likes playing video games that are labeled as "cozy" truth be told. so, things like animal crossing, stardew valley, etcetera. anything that's kind of relaxing, in some sense, duri is all about. that's really the only video games that he tends to know, truth be told. though, he can also really come through on fifa games as well.

he's 100% a shower singer. has full on whitney houston, beyoncé, kelly clarkson, mariah carey, celine dion, anyone who's released taeyeon songs, little mix, angelic songs, eternal songs, and various ballad concerts (of course among other songs) in the shower.

has an alcohol allergy. so, he tends to avoid anything with alcohol because of it. meaning alcohol itself (which is fine because duri is not big on nightlife at all), medication containing it, and a lot of stuff. it kills him that he has to avoid things that contain gochujang paste due to the meju-garu - aka, anything fermented is a no-go.

duri is really, really big on cooking. it's one of his favorite things to do, something that he's pretty good at. when he can, he's often just the one who cooks meals because he prefers to do something of that nature. though, of course, he doesn't get to do it as often with how busy schedules are. but, he does often crave a home-cooked meal.

one thing to note is that duri has some pretty bad claustrophobia. so, if you take an elevator with him, you might notice that he has a bit of a habit where he stands in the back corner, closing his eyes, and sings to himself when the doors close; placing his mind elsewhere to pretend he's not inside the elevator. it's probably a bit odd, but it helps.

duri has gotten lucky with secret garden, to be honest. he's written, produced, and composed every single solo song that he's released. getting the chance to do something like this has really meant a lot to him, especially in a company like secret garden; but, he's glad he has a good relationship with the company and they've entrusted him to do. would really like to write songs for others as well in the future.

duri's done a lot of different things in his career. of course, he has his career as a soloist that's pretty successful. though, he sits at 4 in fame currently and a 2 in fandom - simply because his fandom is kind of mainly old people (whom are dedicated and spending money) and a few of the people around his age who just like his music + the variety shows he appears on. his fame kind of is really on the hands of the general public who likes his music and will watch his shows.

he's had a few osts, such as "told you so" from where stars land, "but, it's destiny" from crash landing on you, "start over" from itaewon class, and "breath" from doctor cha.

duri's also made his japanese debut in december of 2022! he wrote, composed, and produced all of the songs on the album, human (by max changmin), the cover of put your records on, he's completely composed and produced himself.

has had a few different main castings as well and some other great feats, like winning 6 times in a row on king of masked singer.
