truth be told, eunchae was a little bit lost on why exactly sung was giving himself such a hard time about breaking his phone. it had been an accident after all, they happened all the time, there was no point in giving yourself a hard time about that. on top of that. sung's phone had been old. replacing it couldn't really be the end of the world right? eunchae had gone through at five phones in the span of knowing sung, if not more than that. sometimes because they had broken, sometimes simply because a new model had come out that she really wanted.
when he had asked her to join her to get a new one, she had been quick to agree. with her habit of going through phones so quickly, she knew a thing about the pros and cons of different models and brands and well... seung eunchae would never say no to a shopping trip. "the newest one is pretty neat, the camera is really good i had one for a bit." past tense, because of course, she had already replaced it for some other novelty. "nonsense, i totally think you should get a recent model, it's nice to be up to date on the latest trends no? and now you're out shopping for a good reason anyway!" eunchae herself had gotten the newest phones over much, much less.
he'd been beating himself up about breaking his phone all day. it was his own dumb decision to keep it in his pocket during dance practice and now the consequences caught up. sung had convinced himself that because this situation was his fault, it meant he just shouldn't have a phone. it was probably a good thing that his manager pointed out that was a ridiculous notion considering everything about his life, including his schedules, were on there.
sung could have used a pick me up, so he asked one of the brightest people he knew to accompany him to picking out a new phone. being around eunchae had helped, thus far. he walked around the display, picking up phones as if he had much of an opinion between each one. "i guess i could just go for the most recent one that came out, but is it really all that necessary? my old one was a couple of years old and worked well."

a question eunchae gets asked often is how she makes friends, be it in the industry or outside of it. the answer varies a little bit, set dressing at best, though the tactic is usually something along of the lines of being so insufferably nice and agreeable to people that they tolerate her, just trying hard enough. with jihye, things had been a bit different, there had been no need for eunchae to kiss up to the girl and shower her in kindness until she agreed to spend time with her. no, all it had taken was oggling her a little dazed on music bank after their performance and the worst iteration of the kitsch tiktok challenge anyone had ever seen.
and that was all it took for them to become best friends
best friends was a bit much probably. but eunchae was convinced that was just because they hadn't had the opportunity yet to hang out all that much. if not for that, they would have been the closest of friends for now by sure. and then jihye had invited her out for the day, only fueling eunchae's delusions of their pending best gal pals status. because jihye had asked her. willingly. out of her own volition.. which meant jihye had to think the same thing right?
the smile on her face as jihye hops out of the taxi is pretty much radiant, waving enthusiastically at the other girl. "no! not at all! don't worry about it, i just got here too." that's a lie, eunchae had arrived 20 minutes ago, but she can't tell jihye that, she doesn't want her to feel guilty or anything. "thank you so much for inviting me out, i'm so excited!"
Jihye'll be honest: she's a serial 'we've got to meet up soon!'er. God only knows how many unanswered messages on Kakao she has, inbox full of unread plans asking when she's free so they can finally meet up. She doesn't feel much, if any, guilt. Chances are, they're just like her and asking for the sake of asking.
It's not like that with Eunchae, though.
Their friendship thus far's been more support coffee trucks, Kakaotalk messages and Music Bank interviews than real face-to-face time, but they'd finally found a serendipitous spot of overlapping free time to finally meet up. There'd been this perfume-making workshop Jihye'd seen on SNS, and with a minimum 2 pax for a solo class; she'd decided to extend an invite to Eunchae.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! We ended way later than I thought we would, but luckily traffic wasn't too bad on the way over. Did you wait for long?" Her apologies are profuse and endless, as she makes an impressive hop out of a still-moving taxi.
WE CAN GO WHEREVER YOU LIKE. with ♡, for @sunshinechae's eunchae.

maybe eunchae should listen better, then she'd know what's actually expected of her. but she hasn't so the fine details of what exactly her schedules entail or why her manager has hauled her out to the kbs building are lost on her. oh well. all she does know is that pretty early on she's let lose, left to entertain herself for a while as her manager is busy arranging something... probably important? truth be told eunchae had lost interest and stopped listening to everything after just wait around for a bit, it will be an hour or so at the most.
of course, she grows tired of sitting pretty and still within the first five minutes, so she takes to roaming the building.
the moment eunchae hears her name as she rounds a corner, it's like a switch flips in her brain, less bored little brat and instead a smile too cheerful and broad for her face appearing in place, as if muscle memory. she only identifies the voice calling out to her after. "doyeon!" she exclaims, a bit too cheerfully, voice pitched a little too high as she bounces over to him. she should probably tone it down a little, but doyeon is right, it had been a while, and a part of eunchae feared that had been because he had little intent of seeing her, which was a saddening thought. she had worked so hard to get him to like her. perhaps she just has to try a little harder. "how have you been! what brings you here today! personal work? a true north thing? ohhhh is it a secret still? my lips are sealed, pinky promise!"
usually, when doyeon has meetings to attend, he brings along a few odds-and-ends to keep his hands busy while he waits for all of the people who actually have a say in his schedule to finish up. on this day in particular, however, he'd woken up that morning with the renewed vigor that always comes with an existential crisis, determined and insistent that he'd be present and contribute. that had only lasted about as long as it took for them to tell him to wait outside.
so, there he sat, idling in a way that made him feel desperate and unoccupied—a feeling that was increasingly unfamiliar as these meetings, no matter where they were, happened more and more often. all of this to say, he was bored, and in dire need of a distraction.
he's contemplating just saying fuck it, making a run for the elevator when a familiar face rounds the corner, "eunchae!" doyeon says with an enthusiasm he wouldn't otherwise possess in the presence of the girl-in-question. for a moment, he even regrets it, but it'd be rude to take it back now. "long time, no see, huh?"

there was something about tristan that didn’t make him quite like the other people eunchae knew. which wasn’t that hard truly, eunchae had grown up in a pretty gilded bubble, void of the experiences of most average people. there hadn’t been a lot of people like tristan at her snooty private school, untethered and free. it made him a breath of fresh air, especially within industry circles. managements tried endlessly to recreate that effect, the down-to-earth-celebrity, someone who had simply stumbled into the spotlight by doing what they loved. in eunchae’s humble opinion, none of them had ever quite come as close to it as tristan had. probably because it wasn’t an act, or an image, tristan really just was a guy that really loved dancing and somewhere along the way, had gotten snatched up by secret garden. maybe that was why eunchae is so drawn to him, because tristan is easy-going and charming and frank and so completely himself that eunchae couldn’t help but feel drawn to him.
in the back of her mind, there is a little warped, snide voice telling her that of course, this isn’t all very becoming of her, to sit here, oggling tristan’s sweaty form as he worked. at best, she looks a little silly, at the worst, downright desperate, sacrificing her entire free day to sit around and cling to tristan’s every word and move, sitting patient and pretty as he is busy working. but surely, tristan must like her too. eunchae isn’t quite sure in which way but it’s something. he’s nice to her, he allows her to sit in as he works and he never has a shortage of petnames and compliments to shower her in. surely that’s worth something too. right?
as he makes his way over, wiping the sweat from his face with his shirt, eunchae’s gaze rakes over his toned stomach a little too eagerly, gaze quickly snapping up to meet tristan’s eyes again, pretending she was not just very fascinated by his chest. “i just think it looks really cool.” contrary to tristan’s words, it’s her cheeks that burn up with a warm blush. “obviously i don’t know what i’m talking about and all that, if you say it’s far from the final product that’s fair of course. but for what it’s worth i thought it looked really good. you looked really good.” before the weight and meaning of her own words can really set in and mortify her, it’s instead tristan that draws a squeal from her with his question. “oh. no. i couldn’t really.” eunchae shakes her head hard enough that she probably runs risk of giving herself whiplash. “i’m not a dancer. i’m terrible at it really. i can’t- i wouldn’t even know where to begin…”
Maybe Tristan ought to have more shame. His mother certainly would be disappointed at how readily he soaks up Eunchae’s admiration, feeding it to his ego by the spoonful. It isn’t like he doesn’t enjoy her presence, mind you, she’s sweet and pretty and when she manages to lose some of that corporate glamour she seems to drench herself in to be palatable he’d even dare to say she’s funny, engaging.
(Or perhaps Tristan is just projecting his own messy ways of interacting others onto the poor girl. He wouldn’t know, he doesn’t make a habit out of introspecting too much on his personality. Better that way.)
Bringing her to dance practice almost feels a little too intimate already, letting her see the bits that don’t work yet, the edges he desperately wants to sand down, the passages that still feel bland and unflavoured and he can’t seem to infuse with crunch and gusto without pushing it over the edge. He’s learnt how to lose his shame around colleagues, otherwise there’s no true growth to be gotten out of working together but if there’s one thing he’s learnt during his past few months signed as talent under Secret Garden, it’s that these rules don’t seem to apply the same to proper celebrities. He hadn’t even been aware he had an inferiority complex up until that point.
That said, Eunchae is easy. Eunchae is comfortable. Eunchae is praising him for a messy routine with sloppy timing and Tristan knows it’s because she can’t really dance and doesn’t seem to grasp the finer nuances of what he’s trying, and honestly? It feels good. It’s a reminder of the fact that some people aren’t privy to a dancer’s critical eye, that to an uninitiated layperson a good show is what really matters. Tristan feels a little like a scumbag, thinking of her like that.
Pulling up the hem of his shirt to wipe his face he meanders over to where Eunchae is sitting by his belongings, humming along as the song he was practicing to loops from the beginning. “Aw, princess,” he chimes, offers her a crooked grin in return for her sweet words, “You’re going to make me blush!” He flops down at an arm’s length from her, a little self-conscious about how sweaty he is. “Thanks, though. It’s not looking quite right yet, but we’ll get there!” Tristan sighs and lets himself fall onto his back, turns his head to fix his gaze on the starlet. “Wanna try it yourself before we go for dinner?”

parkduri:
his eyes look over upon the array of things that’s sat out upon the station that eunchae is sat at. his head is tilted slightly as he looks over the colors, the items, something out of pure curiosity of him inspecting each thing. though, his eyes are met with the pinks that she has picked out, between two different contenders. he chuckles softly, “pink is one of my favorite colors!” he says, as if that’s something that’s not already known, head shaking just a bit. he thinks upon the question asked of him for a moment, before he’d answer. “i think… maybe the lighter pink would be a safer option! i don’t know how quickly they’d make you take off the hot pink for any acting auditions, right?” he says, before a shrug leaves his muscular shoulders. duri had no idea how an acting audition worked, nor would he probably ever actually know - considering the fact he isn’t an actor. but, he thinks it works like that… probably?
there was never much that duri could really do with his nails, truth be told. though, he easily could, of course; considering there was no problem with a man doing anything of that. but, he was never sure it was something that fit him? always seemingly being too scared to actually do something in case it didn’t actually him. in some ways, maybe he presented a bit more masculine than anything when it came to style; but, not too masculine, as he’s not anywhere close to a frat boy or anything of the nature. but, still, he wasn’t entirely sure it remotely went with himself. though, he did sometimes wonder what it may look upon his nails and it’s something he could always take off at the end of the day, right? with the mention of barbie, maybe he’ll allow eunchae to do something with his clear nails to fit the theme.
he perks up again, head turning to look upon his best friends. “yes!” he agrees before a giggle leaves his lips. somehow, popcorn mixed with chocolate candy also sounded really good right about now, he thinks. he nodded his head excitingly at the words, “please do! it’ll be a lot of fun!” he said, chuckling happily. truth be told, duri was looking for an excuse to go see barbie, but he almost didn’t want to go alone; considering the previous month, he had gone alone to go see the little mermaid. he giggled happily again. clearly a bit excited about getting to go see the movie.
“now i just have to figured out what i’m going to wear… what’s my best pink barbie outfit?” he seems to question out loud, another chuckle leaving his lips.
sadly enough, duri is right, the baby pink is the safer choice, it would also induce less headaches for her manager, but eunchae still feels a little put out knowing that she has to consider abritrary things like this when painting her nails. who cares, she could always just get her nails redone if they’d make her take it off for one thing or the other right. still, she doesn’t feel like throwing too much of a tantrum over this and the other color of pink still is very pretty, it’s probably good that external circumstances can help her break out of her choice paralysis. “baby pink it is.” she concludes, sliding the other bottle back with a last, longing look before settling on her decision. “pink is a really pretty color.” eunchae nods her head sagely before holding the nailpolish bottle up, squinting at it, to duri and back before adding “i think it would suit you too.” she puts the bottle back down. “no pressure of course. but if you’d ever wanna try it i think you should. it would look great on you.”
a bright smile breaks out on her face as he’s quick to agree with her suggestion. it would be fun, getting dressed up together, picking out an absurd amount of snacks and watching the movie together while no one could really bother them or anything of the likes. it wasn’t always easy to hang out with duri, a big celebrity in his own right, dating rumours would be popping up right and left if people knew just how close they were. which was preposterous of course. still, if eunchae had to spend a lil extra money to make sure they could hang out unbothered she would, an absolute no-brainer. she was never too careful spending her money after all. “then let’s do it!” she claps in her hands excitedly. she’d been wanting to go see the movie anyway and well, who better than duri? he’d always been kind and patient and understanding, no doubt he was just as excited to watch the movie as her. “i’ll give them a ring in a bit then, once we’re done here! it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.” things usually weren’t for eunchae, something about being stupidly rich and stupidly well-connected both at once.
“do you have an outfit? do we need to go shopping first?” the eagerness in eunchae’s voice betrays her, a little too eager to jump to the opportunity to go shopping like she doesn’t already have an overflowing closet full of clothes that really she should wear more often. there is no lack of pink among her clothes either. “we could always pick up some matching stuff right! that would be cute!”

it wasn’t that eunchae was necesarily trying to avoid jihoon. okay, fine, maybe that was exactly it. but it wasn’t her fault! it just so happened that there was something very, very intimidating about the male musician, imposing and brooding and always walking around with an expression that was hard to read, hard to grasp what he was thinking or feeling at all, let alone whether it was positive and negative.
she had spoken to him all but one time. and even that had barely been a conversation by any standard really. they’d been at the same broadcasting station for completely unrelated reason and eunchae had lost her phone, only for jihoon to return the device back to her. perhaps it had not been that hard to estimate that the hideously sparkly pink phonecase had been hers. rather than thank him properly as she should, eunchae had uttered a quick thanks (or something adjacent to it) under her breath and bolted off before he could really do or say anything else. in retrospect, eunchae would probably have prefered for her phone to remain lost. she could’ve just bought a new one.
ever since that disasterous encounter, eunchae had put in careful care to make sure that going forward, she would actually manage to avoid the musician, trying to slip by his periphery in a large arc whenever she met him out in public, gaze fixed to the ground to avoid actually meeting his eye. a part of it was that because of his imposing presence, the other because of how embarassing their one and only meeting had been.
sadly enough, she couldn’t keep getting away with it, rounding a corner to find herself nearly face to face with jihoon, an undignified yelp immediately escaping eunchae. “oh- hi-,” she squeaked, wasn’t she supposed to be an actress? could she at least not feign nonchalance? “uh, so sorry i-got to go actually! how silly of me! i completely went the wrong way! so i should just- head back - yeah bye!” she tried, shuffling a couple steps back in an attempt to turn on her heel and leave.

NETFLIX: seung eunchae of ‘all of us are dead’ shares zombie apocalypse surival strategies

last year’s netflix hit show ‘all of us are dead’ has raked up thousands of hours of viewtime since it’s release, making the most viewed on netflix top 10 for 11 consecutive weeks and getting itself confirmed for a second season. a little over a year after it’s initial release, netflix has sat down with seung eunchae, one of the shows lead stars, to revisit the show and talk about her character, the filming process, her own zombie apocalypse emergency plan and her hopes and expectations for the upcoming season as we continue to wait for it’s release
written by: kang jungah - 15/06/2023
could you briefly introduce yourself and your character on the show?
hi, i’m seung eunchae, and i play choi namra. she’s the class president of class 2-5 which the show is centered around though neither or her classmates take the title very seriously because of circumstances. she’s the top student so she’s very smart but she’s also very quiet, causing her classmates to make fun of her. over the course of the apocalypse however, she grows more protective of her classmates, living up to her title of class president.
do you think you’re very similiar to your character?
ah, not really, like i said, namra is very smart and silent, i’m not really either of those things. through the course of the show she becomes a strong, reliable figure for her friends to look up towards, though i don’t know if that’s much like me either. namra and i really are very different, but it was very fun to get into her mind and get to play someone so different from me.
how did you prepare for the role?
while preparing to play namra, i thought a lot of my own class president from back in high school. we all relied on her a lot and she took good care of us, i wanted to be able to portray namra like that too. i think that might have made it easier to play namra. at first she doesn’t feel very competent in her role, which i found very relatable, but slowly she gains more and more confidence. i tried really hard to show that trajectory well.
how do you think you would fare in a zombie apocalypse? what would your strategy be?
ah... i’d die immediately wouldn’t it? i don’t think i have many skills that are very handy in such a scenario and i’m not that brave either. i’d probably get eaten before i even realized a zombie apocalypse was happening... but that’s probably for the best. if i would manage to survive though, i think my strategy would be to stick closely to my friends who i can rely on and trust. i think they would do much better than me, i’d like to help them as much as i could too and if things were to go wrong after all, i think i’d feel at ease knowing i met my end together with them. ah, that’s a bit morbid isn’t it?
other than in the confirmed second season of ‘all of us are dead’ what projects can fans expect to see you in next? what kind of role would you like to act in?
i had a movie coming out earlier this year! it’s called ditto and it’s a remake of an older film, i hope that everyone who hasn’t seen it yet will watch it of course. other than that there isn’t that much i can talk about yet but i hope to meet fans through multiple projects next year and onwards. i think i’d like to do some more romance series, i love cheesy dramas so much, and some more coming of age stories as they resonate a lot with where i am at in life right now. maybe a little less horror, i’m quite a scaredy cat myself and i’d like to not be covered in blood and sweat for a bit. though i am of course very excited to come back for season 2. maybe. as that’s of course, unconfirmed for now.
speaking of season 2, what are your hopes and expectations for it? anything you can reveal just yet?
my biggest hope is of course that i can come back and we can see more of choi namra, she’s a character that’s very dear to me. but like i said, that’s nothing i can confirm just yet. i think my biggest hope is that we can focus a lot on the surivors of class 2-5 and how they navigate the aftermath of the first season, they lost a lot of their friends and loved ones and have to decide how to move forward from that. anything i can reveal? hmh, i suppose i can say that as of right now, season 2 will continue to focus on themes of surivival, but in a very different way from the first. that’s all i can say for now!
that would be all for today, thank you for talking to us, is there any closing remark you’d want to give the viewers?
thank you for having me too i had a lot of fun talking about all of this today! to the fans i want to say thank you thank you thank you for all the support. i’m glad to hear so many people enjoyed a project we all worked so hard on. i hope we can meet again for season 2!

eunchae doesn’t often find herself like this, perched up on the hardwood floor of a dance studio, legs crossed underneath her, hands placed on the ground in front of her holding most of her weight as she simply sits and watches. truth be told the floor is a little uncomfortable, leaving bottom aching, a dull, stiff sensation sitting in her lower back. still, for the time being she seems perfectly content to just watch, eyes soft and reverent aimed at tristan as he dances, silent as not to disturb him or break his concentration.
when eunchae had asked him if he had time to hang out, tristan had told her he had some work to do first but that she was welcome to come watch and they could grab dinner afterwards. and eunchae had been quick to assure him that she didn’t mind.
and she really doesn’t, eunchae is perfectly content watching the way tristan moves to the music, connecting every single one of his movements fluently into the latest choreography he has been working on as she watches in awe. eunchae won’t pretend to understand what he’s doing, the intricacies behind it all. the musicality gene was passed up on her and even then her parents were ballad singers, not dancers. still, it’s nice to watch, tristan is nice to watch.
“woah.” she gasps gently as the music pauses, tristan turning back to face her again. “that was so cool...” the you’re so cool is very heavily implied, though eunchae doesn’t say it out loud for now. “how long have you been working on this? it looks so flawless already. you’re such a good dancer, it’s really impressive.”

“it’s way too long.” eunchae agrees with a small pout, combing her fingers through yebin’s hair to let the strands fall back into place, a gentle gesture meant to comfort her friend. eunchae wasn’t about to pretend she understood how the idol industry worked, leave alone how idol management worked, what was good promotion and all that. but eunchae knew she trusted yebin blind, with both eyes shut and her hands tied behind her back truly. so if yebin said her hiatus was far too long, eunchae would take her word for it. in her own expert opinion, yebin could truly make a comeback every month and she’d never tire of it, her friend was so incredibly talented, eunchae would never understand why everlast didn’t dedicate more of their time to yebin. but well, that wasn’t really for her to understand, leagues above her paygrade.
“i think your fans should like anything you put out. because it’s you. and your other songs are good right, even if they’re not exactly what they expected.” because in eunchae’s mind, yebin’s fans surely must like her, uncritically, even if everlast wouldn’t let her live up to the expectation set. “i think a more important question is will you like it? what is it that you want to release?” ah, eunchae really could be so very naive about these things, entirely convinced that as long as yebin put out something she was passionate about that it surely would be well received.
eunchae shrugged lightly “nothing is set in stone for now, but i have been going through a bunch of scripts and auditions these days!” she beds her head onto yebin’s shoulder, peering up at her friend through her lashes. “been getting a lot of love calls for some lighter stuff after ditto came out. which is nice. i know we’re still going to be doing more seasons of all of us are dead and i’m excited for that but it’s nice to be known for something else than being covered in blood and dirt and eating people you know?”
"don't you think this hiatus is getting way too long for a soloist? i feel like i should have had a comeback two months ago."
yebin lets out a huff to push back a strand of hair that's fallen on her face, but it's also one of frustration. these days, she's been feeling the same feelings she got back when she was waiting for everlast to give her a debut date. with the roster they had under their wing, it wasn't surprising that they couldn't give her their attention all the time, but she couldn't deny that it was getting frustrating to just sit around. there had been talks of a summer comeback, but she hasn't gotten any confirmation.
usually, she wasn't one to complain. yebin believed in flowing through life and allowing the world to make certain decisions for her. however, she wasn't going to just ignore her fans, especially knowing that they wouldn't stick around if she wasn't more active. "do you think they'll finally cave and give me something that my fans will actually like for a change?" she snorts at her own question because she has her doubts, but it'd be nice if they went and listened to her fans.
"but that's enough about me. how about you? any new drama castings i should be looking out for?"

two of eunchae’s favorite things in the world were getting prettier and spending time with her friends. so when duri had invited her out for a nice salon day, the answer had been a no brainer.
at this point, duri was probably one of her oldest, most long-standing friends. they had met by chance at some work thing, early in there career, and even by the end of just that one day, they had quickly grown inseparable. they were similair in a lot of ways, sure, different in others but just seeing them side by side, wearing matching broad smiles, it wasn’t hard to figure why they had hit it off so well all this time ago.
still, it wasn’t easy for them to actually spend time with each other. true north was busy being a top boygroup and between her music bank schedules, attending auditions and her freshly blossoming modelling career eunchae didn’t have much more time to spare either. the woes of being two rising, high profile celebrities truly. luckily duri and eunchae made sure to frequently update each other through the day by spamming each other on kakaotalk, their chat history a long slew of puppy stickers and words of encouragements most of the time.
eunchae had been intently eyeing a handful of pastel nailpolishes as duri asked her the question, lifting her gaze from the bottles to meet the smiling face of her best friend instead. “ohhh... pink is nice, i like pink.” she gently places the nailpolishes she was inspecting before back into the rack, taking out a couple of different swatches of pink instead, studying all of them intently before holding a light, baby pink in one hand, a much bolder tint of hot pink in the other. “which one do you think is nicer? i can’t make up my mind.” a light pout forming on her lips, brows slightly furrowed as her eyes darted back and forth between the two tints before opting to just helplessly look at duri instead. obviously, she couldn’t make this very important decision all by herself.
“we should go see barbie! now you mentioned it anyway!” she exclaimed with a giggle. “it’d be a waste of these pretty nails if we didn’t.” duri couldn’t truly go as bold or outrageous with his own as she did but maybe if eunchae played her cards right she could talk duri into letting her put some pretty little temporary gems or stickers on at least some of his nails. “we can get dressed up all pretty in pink together too! i know a great private cinema, to avoid trouble and all that. if i just give them a ring i’m sure we could still schedule one for today!”
besties being bestie vibes. a salon in gangnam. with @sunshinechae.
it never felt like it was too often that duri got to go to the salon. but, he always did his best to get the chance to go; have that little bit of luxury, in some sort of sense. he liked getting his nails and toes done, in some retrospect, to make sure everything is in tip-top shape. though he never really got them "fully" done because all he would do is get a coat of something clear, that strengthens the nails and keeps them in shape. it had always made him feel good, truth be told.
though, he's quite happy that he's not alone today. he was usually just himself and the nail technician, considering it was a more private salon. he always knew he didn't have the ability to just walk into a place, considering anyone could be watching. plus, secret garden would never want him to go to a public salon, most likely. but, he really did like this place and the staff was always so nice.
nonetheless, he happened to be hanging out with one of his best friends, eunchae, today - something that duri was really looking forward to, considering the fact it seemed like he only had the ability to text her recently. so, it was finally rather nice to see his best friend in person, rather than via text message.
he chuckled happily, "ah, what are you going for today?" he asked, head tilted just a bit. it was probably hard to do anything crazy, considering she'd probably have to think about any dramas that she'd be doing. "you should go pink! be barbie!" he said, a soft giggle leaving his lips once more. "what should we do after this?"

hey there party people! some of you might know me, it’s ya girl (gender neutral) jamie (she/they, 24, gmt+1) w/ a sparkly new gender And a whole new muse because i can only do the same thing so many times. for everyone who doesn’t know me from past ventures, hi there, nice to meet ya. i’m not here to blabber on ab myself for too long, i am however here to introduce my little princess eunchae. you can find her profile, biography, career page & wanted connections (haha just kidding... one day... maybe???) all linked accordingly for further reading. in case that’s all a bit much, i’ll leave a quick lil rundown about her below the cut. if you want to plot, simply like this post or hmu on dscrd ( watercrystals_ ) and we can work something out together!
so, here we go, seung eunchae, variety starlet and laureled actress
also the result of [huh yunjin vc] nepotism
her parents are famous ballad singers seung kyungtae and kim jangmi, big stars from the ‘90s/’00s, a this point they’re retired and mostly keep out of the public eye but they make the occassion appearance, never Really shaking their celebrity status
as the youngest daughter, eunchae is in fact their darling baby princess who has never done and could never do anything wrong in her life
needless to say she grew up filthy spoiled, her parents werent around that much and
they made up for it by giving her Absolutely Everything they could think of
sadly enough the only thing eunchae Really wanted was attention and because that was the one thing she couldn’t get... well let’s say it had lasting results on her still developing psyche
in school eunchae was very popular, not that hard when you’re pretty and rich, but most of her friendships were very shallow and superficial and it involved a whole lot more backstabbing and gossiping than genuine friendships should which Also didn’t really teach her much more about how to maintain healthy interpersonal connections
the cummulative experiences through her formative years left her her with some crippling people pleasing issues, eunchae has a pathological need to be liked, by everyone, and she’s willing to bend herself into whatever shape it takes to achieve that
that’s also how she ended up wanting to enter the entertainment industry, a family friend told her that she was pretty enough to be a celebrity and her teenage brain quickly reasoned that celebrities were Very Widely Beloved, her parents being a shining example even post their career
so it was decided, all she had to do was become famous and then people would like her
(of course, this is in fact Not how it works, but that’s a problem for Later)
anyway, eunchae wanted to be famous and she had set her mind to it so the only logical course of action was to throw a fit until her parents used their industry connections and gave her her way
and that’s how she ended up signed with everlast entertainment more or less
eunchae started out as a welcome face on variety shows, at first mainly on the merit of being ‘the daughter of’
a year and a half into her career she made her acting debut and from that point onward she slowly established a bit more of an image of her own, who her parents are still gets mentioned here and there during promotional work and such of course, it remains a topic people love to hear about, but the Nepotism is a little less blatant and on the nose at this point, proving that she has Some talent of her own as a break-out actress
as of recent also slowly starting to dip her toes in some brand deal modelling stuff, just because Pretty Face Sells Things
her image very much rides on the whole sweetheart with a personality as pretty and angelic as her face thing, sweet, a little ditzy, innocent and all that
for those that alrdy don’t like eunchae to begin with it can feel a little over the top and annoying
eunchae’s actual personality is... hard to pin down
sure she’s a spoiled brat to the core and it shows, she can be super bratty, knows how to get her way by using those pretty doe eyes and a little pout, can be incredibly out of touch because of her upbringing and generally is just, very uncritical towards the privilege she grew up in which might just make her come across as very tone-deaf when it comes to these topics
but she is very genuinely really sweet, a little too sweet maybe, she’s very anxious and almost obsessive about attention and being liked, she will do almost anything to impress the people she really wants to be liked by, even if the results ends up being harmful to her. she’s just very desperate for approval and a little gullible on top of that, making her a very easy target for anyone looking to toy with her. also just, very conflict avoidant, will not speak up about things that are bothering her, god forbid people will grow tired of her if she does
gets very hero worship-y with the people she befriends/likes/looks up to in general
tldr i’m sorry if she’s an insufferable brat at times but pls be nice to her, she really just wants people to like her, she might simply d-word otherwise (very tinkerbell core of her)
