🕉 🚩⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ The Hanuman Chalisa ( Forty chaupais on Hanuman) is a Hindu devotional hymn (stotra) addressed to  Hanuman. It was authored by the great poet Tulsidas in the Awadhi language, and is his best known text apart from the Ramcharitmanas.⁣ ⁣  The word "chālīsā" is derived from "chālīs", which means the number forty in Hindi, as the Hanuman Chalisa has 40 verses (excluding the couplets at the beginning and at the end).⁣ ⁣  A rendition of Hanuman Chalisa sung by Gulshan Kumar and Hariharan has received more than 1.6 billion views on YouTube as of April 2021, becoming the first devotional song in the platform to achieve this feat.⁣ ⁣ The authorship of the Hanuman Chalisa is attributed to Tulsidas, a poet-saint who lived in the 16th century CE. He mentions his name in the last verse of the hymn. It is said in the 39th verse of the Hanuman Chalisa that whoever chants it with full devotion to Hanuman, will have Hanuman's grace. Among Hindus worldwide, it is a very popular belief that chanting the Chalisa invokes Hanuman's divine intervention in grave problems.⁣ ⁣ There are 2 couplets in the beginning and one couplet at the ending between the 40 verses of Hanuman Chalisa. The Chalisa detail in the order of his knowledge, devotion to Rama and man without any desire. As with the case of devotional literature, Tulsidas starts the poem with two couplets praising his Guru (teacher). The language of Chalisa is in the refined Awadhi language.⁣ ⁣ Swami Karpatri considered Hanuman Chalisa to be a supreme Pramana, omnipotent and capable of fulfilling all wishes, like the Vedic Mantras. Rambhadracharya called it full of auspiciousness and a jewel amongst Stotras, and said that he had witnessed and heard of many instances where the wishes of people reciting the Chalisa with faith were granted.⁣ ⁣ Entire #HanumanChalisa in a single pic.⁣ ⁣ Zoom in to read.⁣ ⁣ 📸 DM for credits⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Kindly share and bookmark 🔖 ⁣ ⁣ #jaihanuman #hanuman #HanumanChalisa #JaiShriRam #JaiSanatanDharma #hindurashtra #TuesdayThoughts #tuesdayvibes #tuesdaymotivation #theinstayatri #hindurashtra #sanatandharma #tulsidas (at Assam) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNTsh84L6If/?igshid=nc2k7favrx6y

🕉 🚩🛕 🇮🇳 🔱⠀ ⠀ ⠀ To be frank, #Shivadol took my breath away. To be in a 🆕 place with those familiar vibes is a home away from home feeling. I ended my Monday and went straight to the famous #Shivadol. I didn't enter the garbagriha because I hadn't taken a bath at that time. So I explored the exterior. And saw many carvings of Gods and Goddesses that I couldn't even recognise as time had taken its toll on them. Some of the carvings were simply blank as if someone had erased a page out of history books.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ So through this post, I want to spread awareness and want my Sanatanis to help me recognise these carvings of our deities.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Kindly #swipeleft and leave a comment. 🙏⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #MyIndia #Assam #reclaimtemples #templegram #templephotography #templearchitecture #sibsagar #Sivasagar #incredibleindia #theinstayatri #awesomeassam #ahomarchitechture #archaeologylovers #templerun #hindutemples #hindurashtra #templesofindia @makemytrip (at Shiv Dol) https://www.instagram.com/p/CL9ttqALa3m/?igshid=kpvlj404i1wv

🕉️🚩🛕🔱🇮🇳⠀ ⠀ dol means temple in Assamese.⠀ ⠀ Siva dol (meaning the temple of  Shiva) is a group of structures comprising three Hindu temples of Sivadol, Vishnudol (meaning temple of  Vishnu) and Devidol (means temple of the Goddess Devi Durga) shrines, and a museum. These are located on the banks of the Sivasagar ("the ocean of the god Shiva") tank, also known as the Borpukhuri tank, in the heart of Sivasagar, in the Indian state of Assam.⠀ ⠀ The tank was constructed between 1731 and 1738 and the temples were built in 1734 by Bar Raja Ambika, queen of Ahom king Swargadeo Siba Singha (1714–1744).⠀ ⠀ Sivadol, built in the Shikhara architecture (more specifically Ahom temple architecture), has a central tower which is said to be the tallest Shiva temple tower in India at a height of 104 feet and the perimeter is 195 feet at the base. It is crowned with an 8-foot high golden-dome.⠀ The temple is built with stone and bricks. Inside the Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum), the Shiva Linga (aniconic symbol of Shiva) is deified, which is in a reverse setting. The Shikhara or Vimana (temple tower), which rises above the sanctum sanctorum, has a four-tiered, 8 feet (2.4 m) mastaka and is crowned by a kalasha made of gold. The tower itself is built with parallel ridges and furrows. The lower part of the tower is flanked by four smaller identical towers, which are known as the angashikaras. The garbagriha, where the main deity is deified in the form of a reversed Shiva linga, is interconnected with an antarala, a small antechamber, which has a roof known as do-chala, which is akin to a typical hut built in Assam. The antarala is also connected to one of the mandapas (outdoor halls). The exterior walls of the temple are embellished with sculptures and floral designs set in Bas-relief.⠀ ⠀ Rest in comments 👇⠀ ⠀ #MyIndia #Assam #reclaimtemples #templegram #templephotography #sanatandharma #hinduculture #templehopping #templemade #templerun #hindutemples #templesofindia #Shivadol #sibsagar #Sivasagar #incredibleindia #swipeleft #theinstayatri ⠀ (at Sivadol) https://www.instagram.com/p/CL7MZ2NrkA0/?igshid=1834mdrk3q9jp

🕉️🚩🔱🇮🇳⠀ ⠀ The Chausath Yogini Temple, Mitaoli, also known as Ekattarso Mahadeva Temple, is an 11th-century temple in Morena district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the few well-preserved Yogini temples in 🇮🇳⠀ ⠀ The temple is formed by a circular wall with 65 chambers, apparently for 64 yoginis and the goddess Devi, and an open mandapa in the centre of a circular courtyard, sacred to Shiva.⠀ ⠀ According to an inscription dated to 1323 CE (Vikram Samvat 1383), the temple was built by the Kachchhapaghata king Devapala (r. c. 1055 – 1075).⠀ ⠀ It is said that the temple was the venue of providing education in astrology and mathematics based on the transit of the Sun.⠀ ⠀ The temple is located on a hill about 💯 feet in height; there are 100 steps to climb up to the entrance. It is circular with a radius of 170 feet, while inside it has 65 small chambers, each with a mandapa which is open and a facia of pilasters and pillars. The roof of the ring of shrines is flat, as is that of the central shrine to Shiva; the circular courtyard is hypaethral, open to the sky, with an open porch as its entrance.⠀ ⠀ The exterior surface of the outer wall, unlike other Yogini temples which are quite plain outside, was decorated with statues of couples flanked by maidens, mostly now lost or badly damaged.⠀ ⠀ Each of the chambers around the inside of the perimeter wall now contains an image of Shiva. However, originally these contained 64 Yogini images and probably one image of the great goddess Devi. The temple is therefore known as Chausath Yogini Temple (Chausath being the Hindi for "Sixty four"). It is said that the roofs over the 64 chambers & the central shrine had towers or shikharas, as those at the Chausath Yogini Temple, Khajuraho still do, but that these were removed during later modifications. The central shrine's roofing slabs are perforated to allow rainwater to drain through pipes to a large underground tank.⠀ ⠀ Rest in comments 👇 ⠀ ⠀ 📸 DM for credits⠀ ⠀ #tantriktemple #templearchitecture #madhyapradeshtourism #MadhyaPradeshdiaries #reclaimtemples #theinstayatri #ChausathYoginiTemple #Mitaoli #templefacts #know_temples #swipeleft #templegram (at Chausath Yogini Temple, Morena) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIdkmeUlEqU/?igshid=10wz6hlj5qioy
