I made Arroz Caldo last night! So perfect for this cold weather! 🥰🥰 - Arroz Caldo is a traditional Filipino Chicken and Rice Soup typically made with tons of Garlic and Ginger! I don’t do rice much these days, so mine is made with Cauliflower Rice! I also boiled the broth a bit longer to extract as many nutrients as possible from the Organic Chicken Bones for additional healing benefits! Topped it with Garlic Chives from the garden since I didn’t have any Green Onions! Last weekend, my neighbors gifted us a Sunflower and a couple Artichokes from their garden and last night, I finally steamed them in my instant pot! Omg, YUM!!! It was Nick’s first time eating an artichoke heart! He was stoked to say the least! I have a question for you all.. How many of you ladies stayed active while pregnant?🤰🏻✨ - When I first got pregnant, I continued to hike, run, bike and even roller skate. There was so much judgment around it and I had so many people questioning why I still did some of the things I do now, and I want to be very clear here.. I was already very active prior to being pregnant, so it’s only natural that I continue to be, especially for the health of my baby. It’s always important to remember too that you know your body better than anyone else and there is nothing wrong with continuing an active lifestyle especially one that your body is already attuned to! - Anywho! In case you are for some reason against being active while pregnant, studies show that women who stayed active during pregnancy had children with higher IQs as well as better cognitive function and learning abilities, so all I’m saying is, consider walking a minimum of 20mins a day if you are currently pregnant! It will not only keep your detoxification pathways open and your lymphatic system moving, but it can also help your child for years to come! Everyone wins here! 🥳🥳 - Cheers to a healthier future! They opened up this location in March and man, was the place booming! I felt SO PROUD to be able to witness this, especially because they opened during COVID! I was also not at all surprised to see how wonderful the meals were! 💕 - I am so grateful and proud to watch my friends grow and just become better versions of themselves every single day! 📍#OneLungWarrior APPRECIATION POST coming in hot!! - Haiiiii!! 🌸✨ Today is my TEN YEAR major heart and lung surgery anniversary, so I made Nick get up at 6am for my annual 6mile hike up Mission Peak!! 😛 I’m also 403 days #AlcoholFREE today, so we’ve just been taking the day to celebrate me and this beautiful ass fucking life because damn, if this life has taught me anything, it’s just to fucking live it! 10yrs ago, I spent 10days recovering in ICU then in a walker for a few months as I got my bearings back. At that time, I was a distance runner running 10-15miles a day; I never thought I’d be able to live life the way I’ve been living it. Hell, I bicycle toured/bike packed 13 countries for three consecutive years after having major cardiothoracic surgery! Who would have fucking thought!? - That being said.. Don’t EVER let anyone tell you what the fuck you can and cannot do! Fuck them, DO YOU! Periodttttt! K, love you! Sooooo...... Like...... Yesterday was a pretty earth shattering day for me! We moved my mama onto our property to be our neighbor! We got her into a newer trailer where everything actually works and will be covering the rent on both of our plots to stay for the next 18months. We then gifted my ma’s old trailer, “The Escaper,” to our new, but very loyal and great friend and caretaker of the land, Paul. He’s never had a ton of people in his corner and he’s never really had much of his own. Honestly, he is just such a wonderful being and I am so grateful to have him in our lives.. ❤️ - What a blessing it is to be able to do GOOD and MEANINGFUL THINGS for the people you love. Ya know.. To actually SHARE your abundant life instead of keeping it all to yourself until you die! Ha! Who would have thought? If you don’t remember, it’s okay to share.. It’s okay to give! I’m not sure if your parental figures ever really instilled that into you, sooo.. here is your reminder! 😘 - Anywho.. With my mama living here, we officially have two of our VERY OWN private entrances, one whole valley AND one whole mountain top ENTIRELY TO OURSELVES and another valley and ridge to share with one other family on the land! It’s all so fucking unbelievable to be honest. I don’t know what we did to deserve this very beautiful and abundant life, but I AM HERE FOR IT!
