‘Tis The Damn Season | Hamish Duke
Warnings; includes angst, implications of smut (not too detailed), breakup, heart ache, sacrifice, pain, and angst again
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Based of ‘tis the damn season by Taylor Swift
If I wanted to know who you were hanging with
Whilst I was gone, I would’ve asked you
Belgrave, home. For a while, you had thought that Hamish had served as that shelter, but the brick road broke, splitting the pair of you apart. It was as though the pair of you were ice, thawing over the time that the independent plan had been brewing.
This place, it was to be missed. It was a great step of a risk that you were to be taking, and so was the weighing of your heart. It felt as though it would be difficult to carry, it would remain with you, surely even after you crossed and exited the borders of the town.
Leaving overall, let alone him was to be exceedingly difficult, any attachment had to be released, like a bird from a cage. But birds in cages had routines, they’d be fed, and get affection, but this one wouldn’t. He’d just be abandoned, left to fend for himself.
The man that had been the only dream that had rendered your brain at night placed the guitar into the back of your car. He knew that it, what you had, was ending.
This was the end, and alternately not the one that Hamish had been expecting. If you were leaving university behind you, in the reflection of your rear view mirror, he would be left standing, alone and broken hearted.
It’s the kind of cold, fogs up the windshield glass
But I felt it when I passed you
“Goodbye Hamish.” It felt like a cruel lyric that would be used in a song, a line you’d harmonise on stage.
Getting into the drivers seat, you allowed yourself a first and last glance through the chilled glass, blinking away any tears that threatened to spill.
He was a good man, there were great things ahead of Hamish Duke. But none of that included you, this was his journey now, you had already made the choice of yours.
And this was the price of it, the freezing of your heart; the truest and purest love that you had ever felt. No matter, you had already paid it, and caused pain for both Hamish and yourself.
There’s an ache in you, put there by the ache in me
But if it’s all the same to you
It’s the same to me
Turning the ignition on, you proceeded to drive past everything that you had ever known, all that you had love for.
The smallest distance seared a wrenching ache within your chest. It felt like a punishment for putting yourself first for once, it made you concerned, surely it shouldn’t have.
The car’s slow pace had Hamish biting his lip, containing any of his avid disagreements to this. He understood your priority, respected it even, but none of that made watching you leave any easier.
If anything, it gave him an urge to turn and head to a bar or something of the sort. But he remained, his heart sinking lower as you got further from his line of sight.
It shouldn’t have heart him as much as it did. It was common knowledge that first loves weren’t eternal. Time would only help him accept that cruel fact, or so he thought.
So we could call it even
You could call me “babe” for the weekend
Hamish’s body was under bliss, he had found his solace once more. He fit perfectly upon your nude form, it felt like his soul was rebuilding itself.
But he had to remember that you were only here for the weekend, you’d soon be gone again. And he would fall apart all over, just like the first time.
“Babe.” The blonde moaned, his hands intertwining with yours, he had missed more than just pleasure from your entanglements. He had beyond missed the entirety of your being.
The name that you were keen to lap from the tip of his theoretical tongue was a misplaced comfort. It shouldn’t however have the effect of such comfort, not when the pair of you were claiming to have been trying your hardest to move past what you had once been.
It was an old and tiring routine, that you were prone to returning to. The sinful actions were bad for each of your mental health, but it felt right to argue against it.
The wisest decision would be to forget Hamish, and every notion he inclined you to feel, but it was too difficult, especially when he had you seeing orgasmic stars.
‘Tis the damn season, write this down
I’m staying at my parents’ house
“Aren’t you seeing any old friends from university this Christmas?” The question was poised by your mother, she was far too concerned by the fact that since your arrival you had hardly left the house.
It was even blurred by snow outside, not too much to the point where you’d have to be shovelling it from the porch, but it was enough. It was beautiful, perfect for this time in the season.
In fact, you loved the snow. But the memories that bombarded your mind from the wonderful weather had your mind rolling back to Hamish, specifically how blue his eyes appeared amongst the frosted surroundings.
The thought had you sniffling, holding in a post breakup breakdown from your mother’s eyes. She thought you were sick, demanding that you get something for ‘that runny nose of yours, it could be contagious’.
And the road looks real good now
And it always leads to you and my hometown
The exact second that you entered your car, your hands sternly hit the steering world. Were you not allowed to follow your career through the workings of the world without punishment?
Because it sure felt that way, as though you were being a rebel in a war, however the battlefield was that of your heart. It was tearing slowly, and had been over the entirety of your hopeful escapade.
It cried regularly to be united back with Hamish, to its rightful home. It was suffering from separation anxiety from him, clouding the gaps in your brain and making them think about the tall, handsome man alone.
And the road taken looks real good now
And it always leads to you and my hometown
Every time that you were in your car, it felt like you were leaving home all over again, and Hamish would be standing by, with his upset aura, trying his hardest to keep himself together.
It was the worst feeling, knowing that exiting town was essentially the same as stabbing him in the heart. There was no feeling worse than knowing that you had hurt Hamish, you still felt more than something for him.
Whenever you’d come by of a weekend, which was every couple of months, occasionally each few, you’d take the pill of seeing him. But not too long ago, you’d realised how cruel the self invitation really was.
He had been growing used to life without you, and then you’d reappear, lounging in his bed, only to rip away from him and cause a terrible ache in his heart when you’d return to your performing duties. It was unfair, so you refused this month to allow him to know that you were back, otherwise the painful pattern would only continue, and there’d never be an end to it.
I parked my car between the Methodist
And the school used to be ours
Belgrave university was right beside the pharmacy, it only made you feel actually sick. The memories from the school were returning, there were so many of them, it was as though they were trying to anchor you in the snow as you stepped out of your car.
Almost all of them included Hamish, he was the main attraction of the university anyways. But perhaps you had stood there reminiscing longer than you should have, because it seemed that you had drawn some unwanted attention.
Hamish. He was walking from the entrance, a sombre expression had been held upon his face until he saw you. And then his face was rivalled with hope and confusion, you hadn’t informed him that you were back yet.
He’d already expected you to be returning for the holidays, mostly for your family, however, you hadn’t told him, and from the wideness of your eyes, the realisation kicked into his instinct. You had had no intention to.
But he continued to walk towards you anyways, trying his best not to smile and coo at the adorableness of your red nose.
The holidays linger like bad perfume
You can run, but only so far
The thought of making a leg for it, sprinting as far away as possible, or getting back into your car and steering away certainly crossed your mind.
This interaction was certainly not a miracle of the season, it felt like a curse, ascending from hell itself. You hadn’t wanted to see him, but the universe had interfered and made a collaboration.
I escaped it too, remember how you watched me leave
But if it’s okay with you, it’s okay with me
However every time you came and left, this building confrontation had been avoided, with you packing your suitcase for the umpteenth time, zipping each of your mouths shut and hearing nothing but the sound of the wheels rolling across the concrete of your family’s driveway.
Now, to contradict it all, the pair of you were stood upon even ground, it wasn’t outside of either of your homes, it was strangely the perfect place for this. And you found your dread slightly dissipating, aware that this was always going to happen, the road had just ended.
We could call it even
You could call me “babe” for the weekend
He was confused as to what to say or do. This was the first instance that he had seen you again in a place other than in his sheets, it was overwhelming.
“You haven’t been answering my messages.” His tone was calm, but in it, pain was presented, his sad blue eyes also justified that aspect of his aura. “Here for another weekend?”
It came across as less pleasant than he had anticipated, he was stressed to say the least. Something happened to him, it was out of the ordinary, he had wanted to speak to someone, and the first person that had came to his mind was you.
‘Tis the damn season, write this down
I’m staying at my parents’ house
Wringing your hands at the sound of his voice, it was visible that his presence made you nervous. That wasn’t what he wanted at all, he already scared himself after that sheathing of wolf fur wrapped itself around him and chose him as its vessel. His intent wasn’t to make you mirror his discomfort.
And so he uncrossed his arms, putting them into his trouser pockets and tried to look as relaxed as his exterior could fathom.
“I’m staying with my parents, it’s the holidays and all. Had to come home somewhen.”
And the road not taken looks real good now
Time flies, messy as the mud on your truck tires
But you knew, that it was all to return to him. That was the universe’s plan for you, if you ever tried to get away, it’d only force you to reconnect once again. There was no escape, and a part of you was not complaining about that.
The other however was outrageous, nothing could ever be easy, it all drifted down shore from the plan, the ultimate dream. Using your voice to sing was the goal, however here you were instead, mentally cursing and dragging the name of the planet through the darkness inhabited in your neurons.
Now I’m missing your smile, hear me out
And the road not taken looks real good now
Right now, all you wished was to stay. His smile was inviting you to do, and so you stepped cautiously towards Hamish, hands going to his face and pressing the pads of your fingers to his cold cheeks.
Snow began to fall, but you could care less. It already felt like there was a blizzard forcing to search for shelter, and here it was, in the body of this one man. He was different from the rest, he was your road, the one you wanted to continue on, rather than drive away from.
And it always leads to you and my hometown
Sleep in half the day just for old times’ sake
His eyes shut at the contact, it was far more passionate than the times you had seen him during your occasional visits. Don’t get it mistaken, the sex was great, however it was a coping mechanism, rather than a true example of love.
There had been something missing, at first you assumed that it was the lack of labels between the two of you, however you proved yourself wrong after realising that it was the proximity that the pair of you had once had.
The loyalty, the trust, the knowledge that the two of you had traded. It had always been mutual, and so was this heartache, it wasn’t fair for the pair of you to be apart, yet still suffering from more than the distance.
I won’t ask you to wait if you don’t ask me to stay
So I’ll go back to L.A. and the so-called friends
There was one singular thing that Hamish desired to ask. However it’d be a two way street of cruelness if he allowed it to slip. But if he gave it permission to leave his mouth, then perhaps it would be a different story.
Everything could go back to normal, the way things had been. Except from him of course, he was forever changed, he was the house to a creature so unbelievable, yet proven real, that he could not just dispose of it. That would end in his death if he were to split from this monster within him.
But he would also die if he had to be distanced mentally from you any longer. He took one long stride of his leg, cupping the edges of your face, and clashed the two of your lips against his own. The contact was hungry, needing to swallow any last breaths that could possibly be breathed in each other’s presence.
If he had it his way, he wouldn’t break the unison against you, however he had to, otherwise he would surely have to catch your tired body, not that that would be the worst thing in the world.
“Stay, don’t go again.” It fell, permitting a moment of silence in the air. This required thought, but the answer could be sudden, if it were, then that would be the true response that he was seeking. It would be an instinct to remain here, with him, at your home.
Who’ll write books about me if I ever make it
And wonder about the only soul
It made a sigh tumble from the hollow of your throat, as though you were shocked by his defiance and desire. However you were not, the grand query was to come to pass sometime, it had been eventual, until now.
He had finally ripped the band aid from the soreness upon his beating chest, and done so to your own. He had opened the wound, allowing it to breathe in the surrounding air, making your own hitch as you thought of an appropriate reply.
It wasn’t professional to be so swayed by his proposition, however, what about all that you wanted to accomplish? The career you were pursuing, the town of Belgrave wouldn’t be so kind to permit you the reputation you were seeking.
“I don’t know what to say.” The truth left your lips, the mind that was being stalled by all the possibilities, the two paths that were duelling for your footsteps, was suffering from total confliction. There was no easy answer, either way, you were to be giving something you loved up.
Who can tell which smiles I’m fakin’
And the heart I know I’m breakin’ is my own
“How about yes?” He was desperate to hear it, the confirmation that you would remain with him through the tough time that he was painfully living through. Your absence, albeit how it was completely your choice, did not help the situation.
Hamish needed someone that not only he could rely on and trust, but would help him. Somebody whom could keep him in touch with his human side, and away from the likening to alcohol that he had picked up upon now that he was legal to purchase it himself.
“Okay. I’ll stay for a little, but no promises to it being permanent.” You had been swayed by not only his engorging blue eyes, but also the pain, the pleading that echoed behind them. He was desperate for you to remain with him, and you feared for his mental health if you didn’t compromise.
To leave the warmest bed I’ve ever know
We could call it even
Even though I’m leaving
The pin had dropped, the choice had been made. The sacrifice bled out from your heart, the same red as the sheets that were currently around you. Hamish stared up at the ceiling, his hand softly stroking the skin of your shoulder.
“It’s funny, every time that we spend the weekend together like this, I tell my mum that I’m seeing an old friend from school.” The sound of your voice pursed a smile to Hamish’s face, he huffed a small, almost wolfish laugh.
“That’s kind of the truth, if you think about it.” He pulled you closer, placing a slow yet short kiss upon your lips, to which you reciprocated. This had been the best choice that you could have made, for not only the man nestled in the bed beside you, but also yourself.
And I’ll be yours for the weekend
‘Tis the damn season
We could call it even
It was both a selfish and selfless call that you had taken. One that perhaps one day, you would kick yourself for making, but right now, you held no regret to it. Hamish had been your first love, and fate had it so that he would also be your last.
“My mum would be over the moon to know that I was with you rather than one of the girls that I took bio with.” She had forever been fond of Hamish, even before the two of you had became an item. Even your father had a likening to the young man. The pair would pleased that the two of you were still in communications.
“What are we now?” He asked seriously, he had reeled enough answers from you for one day, however it was another thing that he would have liked to know. He didn’t merely want you to be his only over the weekend, he wanted it to return to the way it all was, before your first departure, he’d ensure that you had already taken your last ticket out of town.
You could call me “babe” for the weekend
‘Tis the damn season, write this down
“Us, I suppose. The equals to one another, as we always were.” His dimples showed at the clarity that you provided. Until he felt a pain in his back, it cracked up through his spine as he felt it begin again.
The dreaded transition, the curse was sparking to life in the worst possible moment. He needed you to be away from him, if he harmed you, then that would surely kill him. He couldn’t have a mark from his own hand upon you, it would be against his will, but the blood would have still been drawn by himself.
I’m staying at my parents’ house
And the road not taken looks real good now
Time flies, messy as the mud on your truck tires
Hamish’s sudden seating in bed had you frowning, your hand caressed his his shoulder, however he snarled at your touch, harshly shrugging you off from him. To say you were worried was an understatement, in the light of the afterglow, he had always been quiet and calm, but this was something you had never witnessed.
If you believed in anything beyond this world, perhaps you’d have suspected he was possessed by something greatly evil and controlling. But they were all tales, fiction and fairy tales that were drawn into illusions and dreams.
“Are you okay?” He wasn’t, and if he didn’t get space from you, then you too would be suffering. And so he spat the only thing that he could think of to get you to spook, to run far away from him.
Now Im missing your smile, hear me out
We could just ride around
And the road not taken looks real good now
“I’ve changed my mind. Leave!” It was as though he roared the words at you, and he had you in a haste to scramble for your clothes and leave his room. This wasn’t supposed to happen, none of it. But he knew that he had been too greedy, he couldn’t be alive with this horrible circumstance that was inside of him and have you.
It may not have been fair, but it was the safest route. In the end, he had figured it out, you couldn’t help him with this. He didn’t want to tell you, he didn’t want you to know that he was a monster.
You never believed in the supernatural anyways, and that was now for the best. It would make you safer, and more importantly, have faith that he was just a jerk, not some killer that hunted under the full moon.
And it always leads to you and my hometown
It always leads to you and my hometown
You had escaped from your hometown. But Hamish would always draw you back, one way or another...

Pairing: HamishXHuman!Reader
Warnings: talks of sex, talks of blood, a little angst, fluff, cursing, make out session, werewolves?
Word Count: 1067
-------------------------------------------
Bliss. That's all you remember when you woke up in Hamish's room. The sun filtering through the blinds on the window, blinding you slightly. Your head is pounding and your body is so sore. You could barely move, your limbs feel like 100 pound weights. At first, you are confused, what happened to you. Why do you feel like this. Then, a flood of memories of last night resurface. Hamish. You could still feel his touch on your skin, and how burned you skin as he went. His eyes primal, and yet, so loving. You shivered at that thought and smiled. You look around the room and see Hamish sitting at his desk, no shirt, and a pair of sweatpants. He was intensely focused on the paper he was reading. He picked up his pen, wrote something down on it and placed the paper in a stack with other papers on his desk.
You start to sit up, and feel a sharp pain in your shoulder. You let out a hiss, and placed your hand on your shoulder, which you realize is bandaged. You remember that Hamish had bit you there, but you don't remember it being hard. You remember a tingle from the bite, and that's all. You here a squeak and looked up. Hamish taken a break from his paper work and turned his chair towards you.
You glanced over to him, his face was unreadable. He watched you as you got comfortable in the bed. You gave him a smile. He smiled back but it was a sad smile, like he was hurting. He bent over and rested his elbows on his knees, intertwining his fingers together. He looked down at the floor and took a deep breath.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, head still looking down.
"A little sore, I suppose..." You responded, honestly.
You could see Hamish tense up, then relax. He nodded as he sat up.
"You don't have to lie to me.... If you are in serious pain, tell me, and I will get you some medication. " He said in a more serious tone.
"I'm not lying. Why would I need to?"  You answered honestly
Even though you had a high pain tolerance; you knew when to give in to medications. You necessarily didn't like taking them, but you weren't stupid.
"To spare my feelings, I don't know. I don't know how you think."
You started to get a little upset. You tried to sit up a little straighter, but winced, once again, when you moved your shoulder. Hamish sighed, stood up, and walked over to you. He gently helped you get into a better sitting position. Even though he was being gentle, you still winced anytime he touched you. You tried to hide it, but he noticed. You knew he did. Once you got situated, you let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding in.
"See..." He began, not looking at you in the eyes, but off to the side. It was like he was avoiding you. "...you need medication.. I wi-" Hamish was saying, before you interrupted him.
"Hamish, I am fine. I am sore, but it's nothing I can't handle."
Hamish finally looks at you, his blue eyes glossing over, as if he was about to cry.
"Y/N, you were unconscious, when I came out of my rut. There are bruises covering your body. There was blood everywhere.", He looks at your bandaged shoulder, "I thought I had killed you.."
You took your hand and, gently, turned his face back towards yours, "But you didn't Hamish, I survived and I don't blame you.."
He looked at you in the eyes, "Why did you do it?"
"Because I love you..."
"I could've killed you.."
"I know..."
Hamish nostrils flared as he pursed his lips together, "Why are you okay with this?"
You looked away for a moment and then back at him, "Because I was saving you. I couldn't let you die"
Hamish took a deep breath and looked out the window. You could tell he was getting aggravated. You acted impulsively, and he hated that. You took his hand into yours. Hamish glanced at you out of the corner of his eye.
"Hamish... please look at me..." You asked softly.
He stared out the window a moment longer then looked at you, "When you were lying there, I didn't know what to do..." He shook his head as he looked down. "I can't lose you, Y/N."
You give him a small smile, "You won't Hamish, I promise..."
"How can you promise that?" He asked looking at you, "You can't promise that.."
He had a point. You can't promise something, that you aren't sure if the outcome. You may die after this school year is over. You didn't know, and neither did he.
You take his hand, " You are right, I can't promise that. I can promise that I will stay with you as long as, God or whoever, sees fit. "
Hamish squeezes your hand and looks down at them. Oh, how you wish you could know what's going on in that brilliant mind of his. how you wish you could ease every doubt that he has. You see he finally gives a small smiles then looks up at you.
"I love you, Y/N" Hamish confesses.
You smile back, "I love you too, Hamish."
He smiles more, and leans in to give you a kiss. His lips are soft and sweet. You run your fingers through his hair and pull him closer. Your arm was on fire, but you ignored it. He kissed you deeper, his tongue gaining entrance into your mouth. You both battle for dominance, but you give in. Every part of you on fire, a perfect mix of pain and pleasure. That burn was short lived, when he slowly pulls away from you, and sits up. You pout a little, missing the burn. He chuckled as he stood up and walked towards the door.
"Hey, where ya going?" You ask, not wanting him to leave.
"I am just going to make some brunch for you. I'll be back" He opened the door, and started to walk out
"Wait!" You said in slight alarm. Hamish stopped and looked at you. "I love you!" You smiled.
Hamish smiled back, "I love you too"  Hamish walked out the door and shut it behind him.
You couldn't help but think how lucky you were to have Hamish in your life.

Goodmorning
summary: pt. 2 of an earlier Hamish fic I wrote a while ago and never posted!! fluffy morning after spending the night at Hamish’s house after getting drunk grading papers
pairing: Hamish Duke x Reader
wc: 946
warnings: fluff, mentions of alcohol, cw food/eating, hangover, Hamish in a robe ;)
a/n: Part 1 (not necessary to understand this part)
You shrugged out of bed just as the sun was rising. Vaguely remembering the night before you blinked the bleariness from your eyes, searching for the pill buffet Hamish had left for you, and settled on an Advil. The last few drops of water you had left for yourself just barely got rid of the dry feeling in your mouth and throat as you tried swallowing. Just the noise of the swallow in your ears made your head pound and vision blur.
Ever so slowly, you stood. The hardwood floor was freezing against your overheated body. You glanced down, panicking when you couldn’t remember how you got out of your clothes. Or why you covered in dog hair. Moving slower than you thought you were, you scanned the room for them, finally finding them in a neat stack on top of the dark wood dresser along with a small note.
Good morning, Y/N
There is an extra (unused) toothbrush in the bathroom and travel-sized (also unused) deodorant sitting on the sink. Not sure if I’ll be home this morning, had an emergency after you went to sleep. Hope you slept well. Help yourself to any food or drink in the house, truly sorry to leave so abruptly.
 - Hamish Duke
Firstly, you couldn’t believe how fucking cute he was. You briefly wondered what the emergency might have been in the dead middle of the night, but that was quickly replaced with the need to go to the bathroom. You rush out of the room, heading straight to the bathroom. A cursory glance into the living room told you that Hamish was not home still.
A pale blue toothbrush and a small deodorant were sitting just as he promised on the sink, neatly lined up next to one another. Just as you flushed the toilet, you heard the front door open and slam back shut. You rushed to wash your hands, brush your teeth, and rub on some deodorant. Still wiping some toothpaste from the side of your mouth you opened the door.
In front of you was Hamish, clad in only a silky navy robe, passed out on the couch.
As quietly as possible you stepped toward the table, sitting in the chair just to the side of it. Still trying to be silent, you pulled the exams out from his bag and continued where you had left off last night.
Somewhere around 8:00 a.m. Hamish began to stir. You sat back in the chair once again, now in your own clothes, sipping the tea you had just made. His eyes blinked opened and he jumped to sit up, making his robe reveal a little too much. You cleared your throat and looked down at your phone in front of you, pretending to scroll. Blinking hard, he wrapped the robe a little tighter around his body, re-tying it.
“Good morning.” He said, voice dry and hoarse.
You smiled back at his disheveled look. His normally well parted and combed hair was sticking out everywhere, there was dirt smeared on his cheek almost comically, and the robe was really quite the accent. Still, you remembered he had said that there had been an emergency.
“Are you okay?” You asked after a moment. He shifted, obviously uncomfortable. “I don’t want to know what happened or anything, but just...are you alright?”
He let out a short, deep sigh. “Surprisingly, yes. The crisis was far less than I thought.” His smile was a little forced.
“I finished grading the exams and checked a few of them so I can leave now if you want some time to recoup.” You said already picking up your things and standing to leave.
“Wait! Unless you have somewhere to be I did promise to cook breakfast. If you’ll just give me a moment to dress.”
You stopped walking, slowly taking small steps back to the chair. “I’m not gonna pass up a free breakfast.”
Hamish gave you a genuine smile for the first time that day and nodded.
“Then I’ll get right to it.” He said, speed walking to the bedroom. In a few short minutes, he was changed back into his typical trousers, button-up, and loafers with a clean face and tamed hair.
You sat comfortably in the chair, reading a book that had been sitting on the coffee table as he began to cook.
Soon enough Hamish was finished and brought the beautifully plated dish over to you. Hungry and still a little hungover you dove into the food. While your mouth was full with bread he posed another question.
“Last night… last night do you remember much? I really didn’t expect you to be such a lightweight and I know I made those drinks pretty strong.”
You gaped at the jab. “I am not a lightweight, it’s just been a while! But, uh, yeah I remember most things.” Wringing your hands, you swallowed hard trying to stop yourself from thinking about the way his hands held you or his gentle lips against yours. Stomach in knots, you took a long sip of the now-cold tea.
Hamish cleared his throat.
“Um, well do you remember saying I could ask you a question?”
Some tea spewed out of your mouth as you choked.
“You can ask to kiss me anytime.”
Still coughing you set the cup down. “I’m so sorry, wow that was gross and I just, uh, yeah, yeah I do. I think. I’m pretty sure. Yes.” You took a breath. “Yeah, I remember.”
He was smiling now, nearly smirking at your stammering.
“If the offer still stands I would like to take you out sometime and ask it.”
You couldn’t tell if he was joking for a second.
“I mean, don’t feel obligated just because... I mean I don’t want you to feel like you have to because that happened and we work together.”
He smiled and scoffed.
“I don’t feel obligated to anything. I haven’t felt like this about someone in a long time and I think it’s time I try again.” His tone was so honest and real you were taken aback. Sure you had made out last night and he had tucked you into bed and sat beside you and... and you couldn’t deny that you liked him too.
“Then I would really like that.”

Answers - Hamish Duke (The Order, Netflix) x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Jack doesn’t understand the relationship between you and Hamish. Lilith and Randall try to explain it, but he learns more from just watching the two of you interact.
Now that Jack was a werewolf, he was a part of The Order and The Knights of St Christopher. The experience gave two very different yet similar experiences, but there was one thing that he couldn’t wrap his head around.
“Are they together?” It was just a question, he didn’t mean to cause such a fuss. Both Lilith and Randall turned to him, not sure how to explain the situation between you and Hamish.
“Sort of.” Randall answered, lounging his hand behind Lilith on the sofa.
“I’m pretty sure they’re don’t even know the answer to that.” Lilith said, wanting to snuggle into the warmth of Randall’s arm but resisted, not wanting to show such affection.
“How long has whatever been going on?” Before Jack joined, the pack had already been formed. He was just an additional wolf in the woods to them, or at least was to begin with.
The front door opened, revealing you and Hamish. The pair of you were content with laughing, heading towards the other knights with happiness radiating from both of your faces.
“Hey guys.” You sat, however Hamish didn’t join you, he headed to the bar. “What are we talking about?”
“Jack’s obvious crush on Alyssa.” Randall instantly responded, smirking at the growl Jack gave him.
“It’s so obvious.” Lilith spoke, however as she did so she was looking between you and Hamish and the distance that separated you.
“Who wants a drink?” The teacher called over to the group of you, causing you to instantly respond by nodding your head. “(Y/F/D) coming right up.”
Lilith and Randall gave their orders, however Jack declined. He wanted to watch the pair of you interact, and a sober mind would help him with that. “Did you remember the ice?”
Hamish came to sit behind you, passing you your glass, and indeed he had remembered. “How could I forget?” The eldest wolf smirked down at you, putting his arm behind your head at the crowning of the loveseat.
Unlike Lilith, you openly displayed your likening to the contact, leaning back into the limb and breathing in the scent of his clothes. Jack frowned, tilting his head.
“Are you okay Jack?” Hamish asked him, noticing his change in expression. Only he didn’t know that it was because he was trying to figure out what was between the pair of you.
“Yeah.” He answered, causing you to become curious.
“How’s The Order going? Find out anything yet?” You didn’t mean to pry, and luckily it didn’t come across as that, but it was bothering all of you - except Jack. At the moment he was observing the way Hamish’s arm curled more around you, his hand laid against your shoulder.
“Not yet. I’ll tell you when I do.” The whole situation was bugging him, he wanted answered. “How’d you two meet? I mean I already know how Hamish met Lilith and Randall, but not you.”
Hamish grew suspicious of his answers, and smirked at the boy. “Why’d you ask Jack?”
“Curiosity.” That wasn’t a lie, it just held an underlying purpose.
“We studied together, before we got our jobs. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been hired without her help.” You rolled your eyes at the blonde’s sappiness, allowing him to play with your hair.
“Of course you would have!” You disagreed with him, placing your hand on his knee to emphasise your statement. It was always something Jack noticed, the pair of you always had to be touching in some way.
“I’m not sure...” Hamish spoke, laughing nervously as he had done when the pair of you were a few years younger.
"So you’ve known each other for years?” He had only met Alyssa a couple of months ago and he couldn’t imagine his life without her, he had no idea how the two of you felt about each other. Surely one or both of you would go crazy if you didn’t have the other’s support.
“Is this an interrogation, cause it sure as hell feels like one?” You quirked your eyebrow at the boy. “Just ask the goddamn question Jack.”
Jack gulped, rubbing the sweat on his palms off on his jeans. It was something he had wanted to know, and Lilith and Randall perked up at the possibility of an answer. “Are you two together?”
“We are.” Hamish answered, causing Lilith to growl defeatedly.
“Yes!” Randall stood, shouting, holding his hands victoriously in the air. “You owe me thirty Bathory.” Expectedly he held out his hand, waving it in her face.
“Why am I not surprised they were betting on us?” You sighed contentedly, leaning to rest your head on Hamish’s tall shoulder.
“The real question is how long they’ve been betting on us.” Your boyfriend said, slightly smug with the situation.
Jack reclined, pleased that he had finally gotten an answer. He didn’t care about the money Randall was receiving bill by bill, he got what he wanted. “Can I have that drink now?”

Rut (Part 1)
A/N: Hello! So this is my first fan fiction that I’ve posted! Please let me know if you like it or if there is something I can work on! Thanks for reading!
Summary: Hamish goes through his first rut with you being his girlfriend.
Pairing: HamishxHuman!Reader
Warnings: Talks of sex, cursing, werewolves?
Word Count: 1370
---------------------------
The night of Hamish's rut started off as any other Saturday night. You lay stretched out of the couch in the den, totally engrossed in a new book you just bought. A few hours earlier, Hamish,  Jack, Randall, and Lilith, decided to go out for a run. They needed to get some energy out from their last fight.
You and Hamish has been dating for sometime now and the pack trusted you to stay at the den by yourself.
Which you were very thankful for, things around your dorm were getting crazier and crazier everyday. You definitely felt safer at the den, especially with four werewolves.
You were just about to start a new chapter, when you hear a commotion coming from outside the front door. Quickly, making a mental note of the page you were on, you get up from the couch and make your way towards the front door. Why were you being the dumb girl in the horror movies, walking towards the sound instead of walking away? You didn't really know, except you could feel something pulling you toward the door. On the other side of the door, you can hear growling and yelling getting louder. You look around the entry way for a weapon and you quickly spot an umbrella. You start to hear footsteps coming up the front porch steps, you decide than an umbrella is better than nothing, and quickly arm yourself with it. You turn towards the door,  take a deep breath, as you reach for the knob. Just as you were about to turn the door knob the door bursts open. You go flying back onto your ass, with the umbrella dropping on the ground beside you. You cover your face in reflex, then you look up at the intruder, and it was Lilith.
"Lilith? What's-",
before you could finish your sentence, Lilith grabbed you by your upper arm and began to drag you up the stairs to the second floor. Luckily, by the second step you were able to catch your balance and walk up the steps. She  still had your forearm and you could tell she has not intention for letting go. She was hyper-focused, not caring how much you complained or tried to pull her hand off you. You just continued along side her until you two go to her bed room. Lilith opened the door to her room, and practically throwing you into the room. You stumble, tripping over the edge of the rug and landing flat on your ass again. You let out a groan, knowing you definitely have a bruise back there. You look up at Lilith, who is now closing and looking the door. You stand up kind of irritated, and cross your arms across your chest. Lilith turned around to face you and raised an eyebrow at you.
"What?" Lilith said in an aggressive tone.
"Okay, I let you drag me up the stairs. I let you throw me into your bedroom, only to trip on your rug and fall on my ass. Now, I want you to tell me what the fuck is happening!"
Lilith mimicked your stance and glared at you. Her chocolate brown eyes were boring into you. You knew that she was trying to get you to back down, so she wouldn't have to tell you. You'd seen this  intimidation tactic too many times for it to work on you. You stared right back at her and stood your ground. Lilith must have figured that you weren't faced by her tactic, because her eyes softened. She let out a groan and ran her fingers through her hair as she looked up at the ceiling. She closed her eyes, as if she was uncomforable about what she was about to say. After a moment, she looked back at you.
"Hamish is in rut..." Lilith finally confessed.
You raised a curious brow," He is in rut? Like how male deer go into ruts?"
"Yeah... We were just running, blowing off steam. When he stopped all of a sudden, and started to sniff the air. When he did he turned around and started running back here. It wasn't until we took a moment to sniff around what he smelt. It was you." She went over and sat on her bed. "When we finally caught up to him, he was in the driveway..."
You had heard Hamish and the rest of the pack talk about ruts, but never believed them. You honestly believed that it was just a ploy for Hamish to get into your pants.
While wandering in your own thoughts you hear a loud crash and come from downstairs. Along with the crashing, you heard yelling and growling. Lilith stands up looking at the door, eyebrow raised in worry. More crashing and yelling happen then you heard a voice howl your name. A chill runs down your spine. You knew it was Hamish, his voice sounded like he was in pain. Every fiber in your being told you that you need to be with him. YOu need to protect him and help him. You dart towards the door, but before you could get there Lilith was in front of the door.
"Lilith, please move I have to help him!" you begged
"You can't help him unless you want to die!" She argued
"Die? No, Hamish would never hurt me!"
"Right now, I wouldn't put it past him!"
You take a step back away from Lilith. You know no matter what Hamish or Tundra would never hurt you. You had to get to him. You had to help him. There was no way to get past Lilith at the moment. She was way stronger than you and faster also. You took a deep breath and sat down on her bed. You had to learn more about werewolves, and ruts, maybe talking to Lilith could calm her down.
"Okay, fine, I won't go out there, but I am curious about this whole situation. What exactly going to happen to Hamish during his rut." You asked hoping this plan will work.
Lilith leaned against the door and crossed her arm across her chest.
"When male wolves go into rut. The wolves sole purpose, is to obviously to...mate." she explained, obviously uncomfortable with this topic.
"Normally, male wolves will mate with any woman they find attractive. We were hoping that would happen with Hamish, but he is extremely loyal to you..."
You smiled a little
Lilith cleared her throat, "So, when Hamish's rut started, he could smell your scent. That's why he came running back here, to mate with you."
You took a deep breath trying to calm your nerves and your slightly arousal. Hearing that Hamish only wanted to be with you, made your body tingle with excitement.
"So you are basically saying is, if Hamish and I fuck his rut will end? Well, just leave us for a few hours and  I will happily clear it up!" You said half joking, half serious. Lilith just stared at you, and she wasn't laughing.
"Y/N, this is serious. When I said he could kill you, I was serious. He could kill you without realizing it, until its too late."
Another howl echoes through the house as well as the sounds of chains. You looked towards the door.
"What are they doing to him?" You asked as you turned you head back to Lilith.
"We  have a plan anytime anyone goes into rut, or for me heat. We just wrap them up in enchanted chains and set them in the den."
"That sounds awful!"
"Well its the only way to protect everyone. In a few hours his rut will be done and we will unchain him. Until then you and I will stay up here."
You look down at your feet and begin playing with the hem of your shirt. You had to get down to Hamish. You had to see him. You didn't care what Lilith just told you. Hamish loves you and would always protect you. You glanced over at Lilith. She had picked up a book and started reading it. You decided you would wait until Lilith fell asleep and you  would sneak out.

Rut (Part 4)
A/N: Hello! I hope you are enjoying the store so far! If you haven't read Part 1, Part 2, or Part 3 please do!! Let me know if you like it or if I can work on anything! Thanks!
Pairing: HamishXHuman!Reader
Warnings: SMUT (DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE NOT 18 and OLDER), spanking, fingering, non-con?, Talks of sex, cursing, werewolves?
Word Count: 940
-------------------------
You make your way slowly down the steps. You examine the room as you go, and Hamish is no where to be found. You see what used to be a pillow with a blanket on the floor. The pillow was torn to shreds and feathers were every where. The blanket seemed unscathed by the werewolf's rath. You get down the last step and on to the ground floor, when your foot comes in contact with something wet. You jump not knowing what you stepped in, as you look down. You see that you've stepped in, what appears to be, a puddle of water. A plastic bag is torn up beside it saying 'ICE'. Jack and Randall must have tried to cool Hamish down with it, but it didn't last long with his fever. You look up and see that the doors to the chest of hides is closed.
"He must be in there..." You thought to yourself as you stepped closer to the doors.
"Hamish? Its me, Y/N."
You hear no response, you take another step closer. You are now close enough to push the doors open. You take a deep breath and push the doors open. The doors swing open and all you see is the chest of hides and the candles that surround it.
"Hamish?" You call out again.
You don't see him in the room. You begin to worry thinking that he some how escaped. You turn to go back upstairs and run into a bare, firm chest. You look up and see that its Hamish. His eyes are glowing silver, pupils blown out in arousal, as he looks back down at you. You took a shaky breath as he looked at you like you were his next meal. You couldn't hide how much it actually turned you on.
"Hamish..." you said calmly.
Hamish let out a growl, and in one swift movement he has you pinned to the wall. He forces his knees inbetween your legs as he uses one hand to pin both of yours above your head. Hamish leaned his head down to your ear. You can feel his hot breath as he breathes against it.
"I can smell your arousal, Y/N", He said in a gruff voice.
You let out a whimper, and tried to move your hands out of his grip, with no success. Hamish let out a growl as he began to nip at your neck. You bit your lip holding back a moan, as he continued. Hamish nipped and licked at your neck trying to find the perfect spot to claim you. You couldn't take it anymore, you started to move your hips against his leg. Your body begging for some type of friction.
"Please Ham-" You began to beg
"No!" He cut you off, "Call me Alpha."
You were taken back by the request, but nodded lightly.
"Please Alpha..."
You could feel Hamish's free hand running down your chest, and into the waist band of yours pants. Hamish let out a growl and went back to your ear.
"No underwear? Good girl..." He said as he began to rub your clit.
You bit your lip to stifle a moan. The sensation was pure bliss. You knew you wouldn't last long as you began to feel a familiar coil tightening in your belly. You arch your back, silently begging him for more. He was more than happy to oblige as he slipped two fingers into your core. He began to curl them inside you, rubbing your g-spot. You let out a moan and began to rock into his fingers. He let out a growl, and began pumping his fingers into you. You let out another moan as the coil in your belly tightened tighter and tighter, almost ready for you to burst.
Just as you were about to finally have your release, Hamish pulled his fingers out of you. You let out a whimper feeling the emptiness as you looked at him. He brought his fingers, coated with your juices, and sucked them clean with his mouth. He lets out a moan as he does this. He pulls his fingers out of his mouth.
"Mmm... so good..." He growls.
"Please, Alpha.." You begged, "Please, I need you..."
Hamish smirked and in one swift motion he tore off your shirt and bra. You were about to protest, when you realized that it probably wouldn't do any good at this point. He began to pinch your left nipple, watching you as you squirmed around. You let out a whimper, and looked at him in the eyes. His eyes were still silver but there was something different about them than before. Something softer.
Hamish tore off the rest of your clothes, and you were now bare for him. He picks you put in his arms and lays you down on the discarded blanket and torn pillow. He flipped you onto your hands and knees, and lines up behind you. You wiggled your ass in front of him. He must have either really hated it or really liked it because he gave your ass a hard smack that made you moan out.
You push back against him, rubbing yourself against his large member.
"Alpha..." You whisper, wanting him.
Hamish leans down to your ear, once again. You feel his hot breath against your ear. God, you want him so bad. You let out a whimper. Hamish smiles and grabs you by your hips, lining up his cock to your entrance. Right before he take you, he whispers
"I'm gonna fill you with my pups..."
Hamish slams into you and your vision goes black.

Rut (Part 2)
A/N: Hello! I hope you are liking the story so far! If you haven’t read part 1 please do! Let me know if you like it or if there is something I can work on! Thanks!
Summary: Hamish goes through his first rut with you being his girlfriend.
Paring: HamishxHuman!Reader
Warnings: Light Smut, Cursing, Talks of sex, werewolves?
Word Count: 1126
------------------------------
Hours passed and you ended up falling asleep, on the floor, while reading a werewolf lore book. You had barely gotten past the first chapter before you went out like a light. You didn't realize how tired you truly were. With all that is happening right now and everything that has been happening at school. You definitely deserved a good night's rest, but tonight was not that night. You were dreaming about Hamish. You and him were in his bedroom, cuddling. When you felt his hands move down your body. You let out a soft sigh, loving the sensation of his touch. He slowly got over top of you, placing himself in between your legs. He began to kiss and nip at your neck, paying close attention to your pulse point. You let out a small moan, as he used one of his hands to squeeze your breast through the fabric of your bra. You arched your back towards him and moaned.
"Hamish..." you whimpered, wanting more
Hamish leaned back to look at you. His eyes were glowing silver.
"Hamish?" You asked in slight alarm.
He bared his sharp teeth at you and growled deeply. You tried to move but you couldn't you were frozen in place.
"Hamish!  Snap out of it!"
He growled once again, opening his mouth, saliva dripping through his teeth and off his tongue. Hamish howls and lunges at you.
You jolt awake, sitting straight up from where you were laying. You look around the room and see Lilith, asleep on her bed. She was turned faced towards the window. The moon was shining on her though the window as she slept. The moon was illuminating the room just enough for you to see a clear path to the door. You slowly stood up while  keeping a close eye on Lilith's sleeping form. You stood up slowly, taking a moment to balance yourself. You glanced at Lilith, who was still asleep. You began to tip toe towards the door, being very careful about every step you take.
You finally get to the door and glance over at Lilith once more. You froze as she shifted her body towards you. You definitely thought you were a goner. Lilith let out a groan and rolled over towards the door. She shifted a couple more times before relaxing again. You stayed frozen for an extra second, then you turned back towards the door. You placed you hand on the door knob, as you glanced at Lilith one last time.  You opened the door slowly, trying to stay as quiet as possible. The door let out a small squeak as you pushed it open. You looked back at Lilith, she let out another groan and began to stir. In one fluid movement, you open the door the rest of the way and slip out of the room. You close the door silently, turn away from the door, and let out a breath you didnt realize you were holding.
Downstairs you can hear a growl and a light rattle of chains. Part of you is screaming at you to 'go back into the room with Lilith', but a stronger part tells you to 'go to him'. You make your way down the steps trying to avoid the steps that sqweak. You reach the ground floor, and look around. You notice things broken and sprawled out across the floor. You look into the living room, and you see Jack and Randall. They are both laying on the couch, fast asleep. You could see how tired they looked, like they had just come back from battling a monster. You look over at the chair, and see Hamish. He has his head leaned back onto the back of the chair. His arms and legs were chained together so he couldn't move. He looked awful, under his eyes were dark and his skin was clammy. He looked like he hadn't slept in a week.
He took a deep breath, nostrils flaring, letting out a growl. His nostrils flared again, like he was smelling something. His eyes fluttered open as he looked over towards you. His eyes were blood shot, but were still the most beautiful shade of blue you'd ever seen.
"Y/N" he whispered.
You quietly made your way to him, sneaking past Jack and Randall. You knelt down beside Hamish,
"Hamish, what have they done to you?"
He smiled weakly, "They did what they were told to do."
"I understand that but isn't this..." you began motioning towards the chains, "...a little much"
Hamish shakes his head. You sighed and raised your hand and placed it softly on his face. He closed his eyes as your thumb stroked his cheek. You smile, you loved seeing the sweet side of Hamish. No one else really go to see it, except you. Hamish turned his head into your hand, and takes a deep breath. You see him visibly tense up and let out a growl. He takes another deep breath and he relaxes. He lets out another growl, as he quickly turn away from your hand.
"You need to leave, Y/N" Hamish growled.
"What?" You asked slightly baffled at the sudden change in mood.
Hamish begins to struggle against his chains as he bows his head letting loose another growl.
"You need to go!" Hamish was doing his best to keep his composure, but was losing it quickly.
"No! I am not leaving you!" You noticed Jack and Randall begin to stir.
Hamish looks at you eyes glowing silver, and teeth bared like your dream earlier. You knew Tundra was on the surface wanting to break free.
"GO!" Hamish yelled out. He leaned his head back and howled.
Jack and Randall jump into action. Randall goes to Hamish to try to calm him down, and Jack dragged you away from Hamish. Jack dragged you into the bottom of the staircase, and knelt down in front of you.
"Y/N?" Jack said trying to get your attention, but all you did was look past him at Hamish.
Hamish was lashing around in the chair, trying to escape. You watched as the man you fell in love with turned into a monster. No, he wasn't a monster. He is still the man you love and you had to help him. You tried to move past Jack but he held you back. You started to fight against him, desperately trying to get to Hamish. Jack held you to his chest, as you struggled.
"Lilith!" Jack yelled up the stairs. The room to Lilith's door burst open and she ran down the steps to Jack.
"Take Y/N! Take her away from here!" Jack handed you off to Lilith.
Lilith grabbed you and carried you out of the house

Rut (Part 3)
A/N: Hello! I hope you are enjoying the store so far! If you haven't read Part 1 or Part 2, please do!! Let me know if you like it or if I can work on anything! Thanks!
Pairing: HamishXHuman!Reader
Warnings: Talks of sex, cursing, werewolves?
Word Count: 1078
-------------------------------------------
Lilith carried you all the way down to the end of the driveway. She dropped you on the ground and placed her hands on top her head. You fell onto the ground and laid there for a moment. You'd never seen Hamish like that. Sure, you've seen him change, you've seen Tundra, but this was different. You looked over at Lilith who was pacing back and forth. She was taking deep, calming breaths, doing her very best not to wolf out.
You sat up and winced in pain.
"Did she really have to drop you? " you asked yourself.
"What the fuck were you thinking?" she yelled, still pacing. "I told you! I fucking told you not to leave the room, but what the fuck did you do!? LEAVE THE ROOM!"
You look at her and quickly looked away feeling tears threating to spill. You didn't want to act like a baby, but you were scared. Hamish, the kind and considerate man you loved, was going through something that was strange to you.
Your were lost in your own thoughts when, Lilith smacked the back of your head. You let out a sqweak and looked at Lilith. She was squatting beside you, staring at you intensely.
"What?" you asked, truly confused and kind of hurt.
Lilith rolled her eyes, then looked back at you "I said, what the fuck were you thinking going down there!?"
"I had to see him..." You said looking her in the eyes.
It was true you had to see him. Something was urging you to do so. Lilith stood up, turned in her heel and walked away for a moment. You could tell she was very aggravated. She had every right to be. She was trying to keep you safe and you didn't want to listen.
"What part of 'he could kill you' did you not fucking understand?" She said in a calmer tone, her back still facing towards you. "Do you have any idea what he it would do to him if he lost you, and it was his fault?"
The tears that threatened to spill, finally did. You looked at your hands in your lap. You didn't know what to say. You never thought about how someone else would feel if your were gone. You just figured that life would go on as normal, and that you would be just a happy memory. He would find someone new. Something deep down inside you hated that thought, but you weren't sure why. Lilith had knelt back down beside you and placed her hand on your shoulder. You looked at her, her eyes still intense but much calmer than before.
"Hamish loves you so much. He can't take another heartbreak like Cassie." Lilith admitted.
Tears were now streaming freely down your cheeks. You quickly began to wipe them away and nodded. You had to stay away from Hamish, no matter how much it hurt you. You had to stay away from him for now.
Two Hours Later
You were beyond tired. You and Lilith had been sitting against a tree, taking turns dosing off. You let out a yawn and looked up at the sky. You could see the sky slowly changing into a purple-pink color on the horizon. The sun was just about the come up. As you were admiring the sky changing colors, until you heard a phone begin to ring. You look around for the ringing and notice its coming from Lilith. You nudged Lilith, who jolted awake and looked at you. Lilith then realized her phone was going off. She quickly stood up and answered it.
"Yea?"
You could hear someone mumbling and response from the phone.
"Oh...oh no..." Lilith's expression softened in slight worry.
At that time, you stand up and dust yourself off.
"Okay... okay we're coming back" Lilith hung up the phone and sighed.
You straightened up and raised an eyebrow, "What going on? Why are were going back?"
Lilith turned to look at you, "Hamish's fever hasn't gone down, its actually increasing. If he doesn't get help soon..." She stopped almost as if she said what would happen it would come true. "Come on, let go."
You and Lilith began to jog towards the house. During that jog, you tried to think about your life without Hamish. You could not bring yourself to think that way. He could not die on you, and you knew the only way to help him. You know everyone would be against it, but what else was there to do? There were no 'werewolf doctors' that you knew of. You knew Hamish, and even though he was different because of his rut. You trusted him. You had to it was the only way to save him.
It was oddly quiet when you both arrived at the house. Lilith walked into the house first, and you followed close behind. Jack and Randall were standing in the lobby, talking to one another. Once you and Lilith entered the lobby, they turned towards you two. You look into the den and you don't see Hamish. All you see is the chains on the ground and the empty chair he was in. The chair has new claw marks across it, and the floor has some also. Randall noticed your worried expression and he placed a hand on your shoulder.
"He is in the basement, unconscious. The chair looks worse than he does" He said smiling lightly at you.
You smiled back at him a little, then your expression relaxed, "Lilith said he is getting worse?"
Randall drops his hand from your shoulder, "Yeah..."
"and if he gets worse that he could..." You couldn't finish your sentence.
Randall nods slightly, "Usually the rut is done by now and if you didn't 'mate' with someone you're only left with a terrible case of blue balls, but since you are his mate, and since Hamish is very stubborn. He only wants you."
"Yes, but that's very dangerous, we don't know what will happen to her if they 'mate'" Lilith added
"But, will we have a choice?" Jack asked
You all look between each other, for a moment. You couldn't waste no more time. Hamish was dying and you were just standing here. You turned and started walking towards the basement. You felt an arm grab you, and you turned to see Jack holding on to you.
"Jack... le-" You began to protest
"Just be careful..." He interrupted you as he let go of  your arm.
You looked at everyone in the back at everyone. Randall and Lilith gave you a weak smile, and you smiled back. You turned towards the basement door, and took a deep breath. You opened the door and began your decent into the basement.
