*working on my Outer Rim Slave language* Conlanging is fun :)

#i mean it’s fun but like…very very hard for me#help#star wars#conlanging#my fanfic writing#and that’s not going into Tatooine having quite a few dialects 💀#look the lang first developed as a pidgin#then it became a creole#but it’s spread is haphazard af and it’s technically a language family rather than a single language#with more than a few dialects located all over the outer rim#like i said tatooine has like 4 of them alone and 1 in particular is very different from the rest#the language family has had over 5000 years to develop and spread ofc there are many varieties over the span of 1000s of light years#or millions. idk how large the outer rim is 🤷♀️#there is also no official written language#there are a few unofficial ones created by individuals (both free(d) and enslaved)#that caught on in local circles of influence#but nothing wide spread#with no standard of script spelling punctuation etc#but it’s preferred this way. it is after all a secret language#meant to only be shared with family and found family (and other speakers)
