technically i think they got divorced in chapter five (when rook drinks poison meant for vil's Instagram rival and also more devastatingly votes for that rival in their little idol contest afterward) but they sorta patched things over after rook and epel (the feral child vil threw hands with then adopted) went on a heroic quest to save vil from the underground research facility of a third otherwise uninvolved classmate. one of them is tragically french but otherwise they're pretty cute imo.
