Yesterday I saw a Robin clicking around on the grass, directly in front of me. He was a pretty little guy, and I am one of those people that looks for the symbolic language in every manifestation set before me. Sometimes you get that world voice breaking the noise barrier in your head; the feeling of dread… “It’s just a bird. A Robin at that, those are a dime a dozen, like blades of grass… calm down on the overlook little sister.” The spiritual being in me draws her sword. Logical vs analytical is another dance I learned steps to in my adult life. This world can press you to commit to its fitted silhouette, there is a placement for everything and as you know… my profile wasn’t made for such a mold. My child-like vision focuses on the Robin. It is a manifestation of the other side, making itself known in this world. Like a hand puppet in a play, there is a literal hand in it, that hand manifests itself as the puppet on stage. So I focus in further to understand it. I made sure to write out my journaling exercises concerning what an overplayed symbol in a world of overplayed everything could mean… as you write anything out, the meaning emerges because words are spells… and spelling is magic. The best magic is confronting what you are, not just the shadow, but the shine as well. Confront the times you tried to change it because the world said so. Confront the skeptical and the unrealistic. Become both sides of the coin, so you can be the coin itself. I have always been a huge journal writer and am big into Sadhana Journaling. Doing a huge symbolic language journal exercise with one of EPJ’s Patreon tiers. One thing I constantly do is quote The Little Prince in my head when I think of animals. What a profound impression a childhood book could have. My Grandma Veda read it to me and my cousin so much that I know the book by heart.
