was wondering about what to put because my first thought was something along the lines of preparing for a hard fight while watching the advancing army, but I don't have that, so. just going to use this snippet with two characters who are the embodiment of trouble instead, from the first book.

(for context crys needs to grab something from the apothecary without any questions, so he just asked jorge and jordan for a distraction.)

Jordan nudges Jorge in the side with his elbow, the latter gives a start, says: “So… how exactly do you want us to – " Crys shrugs, again, says: “Up to you.” A moment as they register, and then both their eyes light up with what has been dubbed collectively by the villagers as the Glint – the one that indicates you should probably start running, as fast and far away as you can. Jordan pumps his fist with an exclamation of “aw, yesssss!”, way more excited than he should be, especially since Mr. Carthew is still a ways away from letting them off the hook. He turns to Jorge. “You thinking what I’m thinking?” Jorge puts on a considering expression. “Glue?” A nod of confirmation. “And shoes.” They share a grin and a high-five.
