Soooo you and Huecycles are mutuals, right? If so are you aware about their candleholder au? I was wondering what you might think Host, Mike, and Tenna might look like in the Cluttersphere

I haven't talked much about it, but considering I'm a contributor to the projects (Primarily as a Sprite Artist for Metropolis), then it would be good if I was aware of them hehehe x) /lh

Prior to that, I did make a pyjama design for Host that I never really felt compelled to post, but I suppose this could be an opportunity to share them :)

There's not much to them other than me wanting to give them a cute fancy robe and rabbick socks. They're very sleepy and quietly coping with the trauma of turning into an All-Seeing nightmare tower. Host already has to cope with dealing with visions, and adding the Cluttersphere to the mix only makes them more confused haha

The pattern on their robe is a reference to their SB form, but the eyes on the TVs are closed for once.

I've also occasionally been brainstorming the idea of designing Neo Darkners for the ShowStopper and CurtainCall (Host's ACTing and FIGHTing route items). Those items were already designed based on a reflection of Host's attitude over being defeated, and two Neo Darkners based on these facets feel like they could be a fun concept!

I just haven't had solid ideas to design them yet. ShowStopper has a head made of light and you can't stare at their head without your eyes hurting. Maybe has an angel knight vibe to them? Considering they're a sword, I feel it could be appropriate.

CurtainCall is a lot more aggressive, I don't even know if they actually have a head, I keep picturing them as this floating mantle with a hood and claw sleeves with the same glitchy pattern as Host's tailcoat. Not the most friendly entity, I imagine. They're bitter and resentful but have kind of a "If this is what I must do…" vibe to them.

They're both reflections of Host's protective tendencies and how they feel about being defeated depending on routes.

Neither Mike nor Tenna are secret bosses so I don't think they'd show up in this tho ;v; Mike explicitly gets left behind, and Tenna is still missing as of my CH3 ending

Dear friend, I'm so happy to be able to offer a vision of their lives one year after the end of the adventure. It was an adventure for them, but it was also one for us, and I'm really overjoyed about celebrating it so close to Christmas!

Writing this felt like meeting an old friend, and I'm very thankful you made this happen cause I wouldn't have otherwise! Si thank you so much, for your prompt, and for everything else!

I have to say the mood stayed cute and tender this time for them. I let them have their intimacy off screen ;)

23th: Home

V steps out of the elevator, followed by Rogue and her guest of honor, Michiko Arasaka. He resolutely faced the door as they made their way down, because looking at them exchanging heated glaces makes him very uncomfortable. V can’t even complain: Rogue withstood a lot of elevator rides with him, Johnny and Kerry, and the young King of the Afterlife knows they're actually worse. Michiko, at least, has poise, whereas Johnny and Kerry have none.

He’s still relieved when the doors open and he can walk to the other end of the corridor. The panels blocking the entrance slowly slide open, and as they do, heavy chrome rock fills the air. Glancing back with a grin, V catches Michiko Arasaka’s amused expression. Rogue gestures at her to follow V, and he leads the way into the bunker.

Designed to withstand a nuclear attack and house most of the Afterlife’s affiliated members for months, the round theater-like room has been temporarily repurposed into a gigantic underground club. Tonight they celebrate one year of freedom, of Night City not only being separate from the NUSA, but being free of Arasaka and the rest of the corps. Well, it’s not really true: they still have to work with the corps, but now it’s mostly on their terms. On V’s terms.

The fact it coincides with Christmas is certainly symbolic, Misty said it was a sign their work was blessed and V took it to heart. He’s living proof there are things beyond the rational, beyond what the eye can see, and those things are stronger than anything.

Their entrance is unnoticed, as everyone is focused on their drinks, their dance partners, and most of all, on the stage in the middle of the pit. On each level of the coliseum, people are dancing, laughing, sometimes just chatting by shouting loudly over the deafening music. Bars have been installed on the top floor, where V and his two friends — if he can call Michiko that already — have arrived.

They take to the right, to the nearest drink station, and V finds Claire, looking disheveled but happy.

“Hey boss,” she greets him, ignoring other customers to prepare his drink. Her call out makes a few of the gathered patrons look toward the young man, seizing him up and down with surprise. V winks at them, something of a tender smile on his lips. He knows they always expect someone at least fifty years older, someone like Rogue. He doesn’t mind, his soul is that old anyway.

The small crowd falls silent as Claire finishes preparing his drink, a Goro Takemura, and hands it to him. The moment he grabs the drink seems to be some sort of signal, life resumes and a few mercs come his way to greet him. V makes small talk with them, tries not to squirm at the obvious admiration, and accepts the praises and thank yous with as much dignity as he can. He doesn’t really like this part of his position, he would prefer not to be treated as a messiah. For the last year he’s come to understand that’s how he appears to many eyes: the guy who defeated Arasaka, who made the corp heel to his will, who brokered a deal with the rogue AIs from beyond the Black Wall. The one who defeated death itself.

Majority of people friendzone VMIN, even though they're clearly sweeter/softer compared to other ships. But do you think, JM and V likes it that way? I mean, bec people friendzone them, they can somehow freely do anything with lesser suspicions. They can getaway with handholding or any other actions that can seem "too romantic" for some. What do you think?

This is a really interesting question and we’ll admit we’ve thought and talked about it a couple of times before. And we agree. Especially if you take Friends into consideration which, on a marketing and PR level, was a genius move on both Jimin’s (and Tae’s) but also BHs part. By giving the song such a name, it validated certain people’s opinion that “they are just friends”, highlighting the age old agenda of downplaying vmin interactions, as a large portion of the fandom do, so that now, like you said, they can hold hands or do other cute things together and they don’t have to worry about anyone suspecting anything, besides maybe vminnies but in comparison there are far fewer of us. We’ve seen countless instances where the comment section under a cute/soft vmin picture or video were filled with “awww they are such cute friends” and “aww they remind me of me and my sister” type replies, while if you look at similar pictures/videos of any other two members, the comments are filled to the brim with “awww boyfriends” or “x and x are so married, look how cute they are”.

The thing is that, in a way, Friends and the “vmin are just besties” agenda have fulfilled several different purposes, besides being a song that celebrates their bond (being the primary point of it all). What we mean is more about how by “confirming” vmin as “just” friends, it gave certain people a sense of security, as in that vmin are no longer a “threat” to their fantasies, but also a feeling of security that “if they are just friends than that means they are not gay and I can continue liking them and B/TS” (yes, I’ve seen such comments and they left me feelings very yikes as well). And those are just a few examples.

Let’s look at the way Friends was performed at BangBangCon. Jimin and Tae wore their former school uniforms, had dumpling props, and the stage was designed to mimic the bus stops for their school but also where BH used to be. Through this they’ve essentially created this vision and idea in people’s minds that “aw they are such cute school friends” (you can find comments like that on all possible sns platforms under any and all vmin content that reaches past just vminnies). They knew many won’t go read the lyrics and thus won’t know how meaningful and deep they are, most just heard a happy, upbeat song along with seeing that stage performance, and voila the “vmin friends” agenda is thriving.

But, in the grand scheme of things, even if some of this might sound a little harsh or stupid (which it is), it makes sense if you remember how private Jimin is about his private life (here’s a great review of Friends that goes into detail about Jimin in this context), how he rarely shares anything truly personal with us, and he himself once said that he doesn’t like sharing his favorite things and people (Winter Bear or “Go play with your hwarang hyungs”). Tae might seem a bit more open when it comes to gushing about Jimin, and yet even he still chooses his words very wisely, carefully, and says just enough for us to understand what he means yet without giving away any too specific details. So, by creating Friends and playing into that idea that some in the fandom already had/have, they’ve created this kind of shield for themselves behind which they can hide and feel safe, at least to a certain degree. They can do and say a lot of things, and yet no one really pay attention to it, like Tae asking Jimin to come sleep next to him, which has a variety of implications, very meaningful ones at that. And yet most have already forgotten that, or not even noticed that being said to begin with. 

Remember that song Tae shared with us on twitter? About the umbrella? How he wants to protect his love with an umbrella? Which is also a motif that shows up on the cover of Snow Flower as well? Friends and the “vmin are just besties” agenda are like that umbrella. 

Also, I (Admin 2) don’t know if you’ve noticed this but occasionally/often times when Jimin initiates some form of physical contact with Tae, he tends to look as though beyond the camera like he’s trying to see if it’s okay or if he isn’t going too far, you know what I mean? Or that time at MOTS ON:E at the end of EGO where Jimin was playing around with Tae yet straightened up and pretended like nothing happened the second he realized they were on camera. Or during the Break the Silence: Persona movie commentary when Jimin was laughing and threw himself toward Tae’s lap, he turned his head toward the staff and cameras, thus remembered they are not alone, and quickly moved back to his spot on the sofa. That makes me wonder if there aren’t also people at BH who control/oversee this aspect of things as well when it comes to vmin, while not necessarily doing the same things with other members. If maybe the whole idea behind it is to keep the main ships going while “hiding” (and by that I don’t mean that ridiculous theory of hiding one gay ship with another because we all know that’s stupid) the one that is/has potentially to actually be real as to not ruin it or pull it onto a level of potentially coming across as just fan service or boys being silly with each other as well.

To sum all of this up, we agree and we think that Tae and Jimin are surely in favor of being friend zoned by most since it means no one (or at least fewer people than with others in a similar context) is trying to push themselves into their bond, to pry at their privacy and do with them what they do with others, as in create some kind of warped version that has nothing to do with the truth or reality. Besides, even if vmin are real, it doesn’t change the fact that they are best friends/chingu as well. So really, it isn’t the kind of drag or downgrade people might think it is since really, the strongest romantic bonds are built on deep friendship, and it seems like Tae and Jimin have built themselves a very strong foundation, one that the notion of friend zoning them will never be able to shake or break. After all 95z is love.

I like art!! Quite a bit!! Less of a realistic artist and more of a cartoonist!! Idk there's just something fun abt drawing cartoons, hehe. Both original stories, and one-shots or personal fics that are associated with already created media!! Writing character backstories and personalities and stuff is also fun too! I've even made my own fictional world with a full fledged backstory n everything! It's very fun to think about. I'm a day dreamer!!! Yea remember when I said I write stories? I day dream abt potential stories even more. Mmm daydream world so nice so warm so fun I read aswell!! Mostly fantasy books, or stories where animals are the protagonists. Think Warrior Cats. But my favorite book series has got to be Guardians of Ga'Hoole. Fantasy owl books, anyway! X Readers are also things I enjoy reading :) Again, s I m p Also gaming!!! Is something fun I do sometimes!!! Although it's usually Genshin Impact, or Wii Sports/Resort w// my little sister. Oh, also pokemon! I rlly like Primarina, Vaporeon, Sylveon and Vulpix/Ninetails!
