I know true selves has been THOROUGHLY debunked by now and I agree with that, but also ladrien is the true selves ship and you can't change my mind
#marinette is ladybug at heart and chat noir is adrien at heart pass it on#miraculous ladybug#love square#ladrien#to be clear im misrepresenting myself a bit for comedic effect but also im right#none of their identities are more Them than the other ones#i dont mean to say the other identity is fake but rather that thats the identity where they show their most integral qualities most plainly#marinette isn't marinette without the courage and creativity and caring that make her ladybug#and chat noir isnt chat noir without the kindness and sincerity and compassion that are so central to adrien#or i guess another way to say it would be that marinette at her best shows her ladybug side and chat noir at his best shows his adrien side#whatever. yall get my point. coincidentally those qualities i listed are also why they fall in love with each other but WHATEVER#mostly im just saying that they probably see THEMSELVES as ladrien as being their best selves#this concludes my ladrien propaganda for today stay tuned for the other 3 sides!#marinette dupain cheng#adrien agreste#chat noir#ladybug
