Since I got to do the Charr ps with Raevik again, did the AWOL branch of it.
It got me thinking of the Charr legal system, and the way that it seems to apparently be left to the chain of command alot? So in the case of Vallus the enaction of justice was left down to the Legionnaire.
So much so that there basically isn't any prescribed punishment that the legionnaire needs to stay within range of? Sure there seems to be some expectation of arena combat but Emer was allowed to basically come up with whatever she pleased (which, in this case was giving Vallus a humiliating death)
Then, Charr are apparently allowed to step in. because your player character does. But it's interesting to me that justice is somewhat contained in the little units of their warbands and grouped warbands of their centurions (those have a name prob, cohorts?)
Though, there obv is still also legality executed in the name of the legions. Like Ryt's court martial and the likes. Or the Charr in scourgejaw, one of em guilty of tax evasion.
Idk, it's... interesting to me how charr society is structured. Especially because there is still some pressure from down to up because lower ranks can just take a role with lethal force. Wonder if there is some legal consequence if afterwards you dont appear up to the task?
