The Mall - ✨ Part I ✨

this is based off of their relationship from Monsta X in Quarantine Chat Messages

Within seconds the front door opened and all seven men came out of the house almost at once. You would have thought they just came to be part of a photo shooting of one of the most and greatest magazines in the world. The flashing of paparazzi were truly missing right now at the way they walked out of that door.

Their style was emasculate, a little too much if you thought that you were all actually just wanting to go to the mall but either way you just loved it. That’s one of the reasons you just love this pack of weirdos. They just knew how to dress and how to dress well.

It’s them all knowing when to wear what and this is, of course you’re also known for your pretty cool style, but still something to just look forward to.

A little support while shopping wouldn’t hurt anyone. Despite you just wanted to go out and bring clothes back that didn’t fit you to some shops that were nearby. Either way now you’re in the mood to go shopping. And having seven trendsetter with you were just perfect.

“Im driving with Shownu.” you said seeing him getting into the car. You walked towards it and opened the door and took your seat.

“Come drive with me” Wonho looked at Minhyuk and Kihyun as they nodded. Hyungwon sat in his car and waited for Jooheon and Changkyun decided to join you and Shownu in the car.

Driving in a car with Shownu and Changkyun was always a calm ride. Both men were very quite and just talked when necessary. Music was playing in a very normal volume and both men were either occupied because of the road or on the phone.

The ride was very quite. It was a great opportunity to take your time and google your shops and make your list of things to buy now that you decided to go shopping. You for sure wouldn’t have the chance to make your list if you were in a car with Minhyuk or Jooheon or Hyungwon.

They would probably totally confuse you or would even give you a chance to write things down. They constantly look over your shoulder, distract you and talk without a stop.

“Changkyun, do you have to do things in the mall?”you turned in your seat to look at him.

“Nope I thought i’ll just accompany you” he looked up from his phone and smiled.

“I have to get some things. Maybe we can go in pairs and meet at the end for food?” Shownu suggested and Changkyun and you just nodded.

After creating your shopping list and ten minutes later of the clock your phone rang.

“Hola?” you answered. You placed your phone between your ear and your shoulder, fiddling with your fingers.

“Where do you need to go first?” Wonhos voice sounded out of the speaker of your phone.

You looked out the window in front of you and watched the car from where Wonho was calling driving right in front of you.

“I have to bring some tops back to H&M and-“

“Did they not fit you?” Minhyuk asked loudly into the speaker.

“No Minhyuk I just didn’t like them”

“Liar”

“Leave me alone” you answered again and watched Minhyuk turn around in the car in front of you. You lifted your middle finger, clear for him to see as you heard him laughing.

“Ok wow. So H&M at first?” Wonho said.

“Yup, please.”

“Okay, can you call Hyungwon? We would drive there at first and from there we can see where were going?”

“Yup, bye” you hung up and immediately dialled in Jooheons number.

“Were going to H&M first, Shownu ok?” you saw him nodding as you listened to the beeping of your phone.

“Hello dear” Jooheon answered sweetly.

“Hi Jooheon, just wanted to let you know we’re driving to H&M first and from there we can see where were going then ok?”

“Alright thank you” a little pause was heart.

“oki bye” you hung up on Jooheon and placed your phone back into your back.

“What a real organizer you are” Changkyun said tapping you on your shoulder and you just snorted.

“Pfff, can you give me the plastic bag next to you?” Changkyun grabbed the bag next to him and threw it on your lap. You checked the inside again and checked if everything is still where you put it. Looking up you saw that you finally arrived as the car came to a stop.

You watched Minhyuk getting out of the car and looked down the minute he got out. A loud screeching sound was heard when you watched him pick up his phone from the ground. His phone must have been on his lap and when he forgot that it was and stood up it must have had a very hard landing on the concrete.

You opened the car door and started to laugh as you watched him inspecting his phone.

“Poor phone” you laughed as you walked past him. Hyungwon behind you as he started to smirk.

“Fuck you” Minhyuk glanced at you and put his phone back into his jeans pockets. Must have not been that bad, you thought.

Now inside the mall all eight of you walked towards H&M in smaller groups of 2 or 3 next to each but still was it an experience you haven’t had in a very very long time.

When you were a little younger you used to always go out with all of them. Meeting them in the mall and spending your whole day as a big group, walking around and having your friends beside you was your favorite thing to do.

“I’m going inside” you said as you all stood right in front of H&M and looking around and chatting away for a bit.

“Mhmm alright, we are going this way, see you later” Minhyuk shimed and walked away with Jooheon.

“We are meeting here again right?” you yelled after them and they just showed you a thumbs up.

“Do you remember that fuck people shirt? i know where that is” Wonho said to Hyungwon who just approached him.

“Ah the one we talked about?”

“Yes you want it?” Wonho nodded questioning.

“Yes let’s go” and with that, both men disappeared into the distance.

“Bye, we see us later” and off they were.

“I wanted to see if there are nice clothes so I am going in with you” Kihyun said and you smiled at him.

“Yeah me too, I will just walk after you I don’t need anything” Changkyun nodded and walked towards you.

“Same, Kihyun I will join you”. Kihyun and Shownu walked inside with you and Changkyun behind as you all started to look at the clothes hanging in the store.

“Let me bring these tops back and then we can walk around” You walked away from him as he walked faster next to you.

“Ill come with you” he insisted again.

You blinked a few times, staring at him. You wouldn’t mind him coming with you but right now this isn’t a good idea.

Well, being honest you were actually lying about bringing back tops. It wasn’t tops that didn’t fit you, it was underwear. Well, a few (a lot of) bikini tops and panties.

“Alright then” you nodded.

Walking with him towards the cashier you stood at the line and waited for your turn. Changkyun turned to the sides and looked at the jewelry that was hanging on both sides of you.

Looking back, you saw a young girl, maybe 14 years old, stare at Changkyun. Her eyes popped almost out of her head when he turned to her, smiling friendly at her and turning back to you.

“What do you need then?” you watched her as she turned to you, looking you up and down and back to Changkyun, almost throwing her eyes at him.

“We can look after Kihyun and Shownu and then i need some chapsticks and nail polish” you said and turned your back at her. Kids these days..

“Alright” he said, as he placed his forearm on your shoulder.

It was now your turn. Walking towards the cashier, you placed the plastic bag on the counter turned it upside down and all clothe pieces fell out.

“I would like to return all this” you handed the receipt to the now super annoyed looking cashier in front of you. Looking over to Changkyun who watched the lady scan the panties.

“You said you have to return tops” he whispered towards you.

“Yeah, i lied.”

“Weren’t these not good enough for your boyfriend?” the cashier said to you, winking and grinning at Changkyun.

“Uhm..-“

“No they looked ugly on her” he chimed in, earning a slap to his arm.

“He’s not my boyfriend” you answered and the lady widened her eyes.

“Oh ups i’m sorry” with that you just smiled at her as she continued.

It was quite for a moment, as Changkyun leaned in to you.

“But I could be” you heard him whisper in your ear.

“Ew, you’re disgusting” and he laughed.

Based on their comeback teasers and photos, I’ve pinpointed what “Sin” each member of Monsta X represents along with the “Virtue” opposition. This is just my opinion and theory which probably won’t be accurate lol Enjoy!

Changkyun as Envy:

I.M easily compares himself to others. But we know Changkyun as someome who is very grateful for where he is today and grateful for the people who support him. The virtue that is opposite of the sin Envy is Gratitude. But he has the problem of being a bit envious of others. For example, take his lyrics from Jealousy. Yes the song is about being jealous but I can’t help but feel the little sting of his lyrics during his rap. (English Translations)

Jooheon as Pride:

Oh boy here we go.

“Pride is an inwardly directed emotion that carries two antithetical meanings. With a negative connotation pride refers to a foolishly and irrationally corrupt sense of one's personal value, status or accomplishments...”

Pretty much ya boy is full of himself. In the Monsta X concepts, Jooheon seems to always plays a “character” that is very prideful. His first ever famous rap that was from Trespass was

“I’m different from those pretty boys over there. Excuse me, excuse my charisma. I’m gonna be rude and enter your heart. My love knows no manners, excuse my charisma!”

But wait, MONBEBE’s know that Jooheon is not really like that at all. He is a sweetheart who always shows Humility (Virtue opposite of Pride). He is supportive and often comforts them member extremely well. We also know that sometimes, Honey is sometimes very self conscious (BUT BABY WHY? YOU ARE SO HANDSOME AND TALENTED AND WOWOW). And the only way to rid those insecurities is to replace them with his badass persona that we’ve all learned to adore.

Hyungwon is definitely Sloth (also Pride but for this lets just say Sloth). He’s tired and lazy and sleepy. He is known as laid back and care free. He doesn’t talk much and is a considered a “meme”. But in reality, Hyungwon is one of the most Diligent (Virtue opposite of Sloth) members. He is talented and extremely hard working when it comes to his position as a dancer and singer. But he still loves to indulge in his sleep and that’s something he can’t rid himself of.

Kihyun is known as eomma. He’s motherly and is always kind. Always looking out for the members and has amazing Patience(Virtue opposite of Wrath). But sometimes, he just gets angry and annoyed and can’t handle someone making the same mistake constantly. He reminds me of the phrase “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” That patience of his runs thin when you keep hitting the same nerve. He practically pulls his hair out when it comes to the members and things being unclean (poor babe, thats a tough life). He most likely feels that he loses his cool a little too often and too easily which is something he might be working on.

Minhyuk as Greed:

Minhyuk is known as the sunshine. Always giving, generous and caring. Charity/Generosity is the virtue that is opposite of the sin Greed and we all know this boy is the definition of a generous person. Always loving and giving so much to his members and his fans. But he has a side to him that is greedy and just wants all of the love and attention. He is the type to lowkey want you to compliment him back if he compliments you. All the love he exerts is what he wants shown back to him. Maybe he is also greedy when it comes to success of Monsta X. He wants them to be on the top and to be the best, his inner greed just wanting more and more.

Wonho as Lust:

DON’T @ ME BUT YOU KNOW THIS IS CORRECT.

Okay okay hear me out. Monbebe’s know him for his Chastity (Virtue opposite of Lust). He is a fluff who is pure and sweet. He couldn’t hurt a fly without crying. He just loves monbebe so much UGH GET YOU A MAN WHO STANS YOU JUST AS MUCH AS YOU STAN HIM WOW. But his role in Monsta X is to be the sexy one and to reveal his body. He has to rip off his shirt and make those ladies s w o o n. But I feel like nowadays, he can’t help but enjoy it. Oh boy he LOVES it. I feel like that one time thing became a mandatory act for every performance. It turned from “Oh Wonho, maybe show the fans some skin” to “Crap Wonho went rogue. MAYDAY MAYDAY WE GOTTA STOCK UP ON HIS SHIRTS.” (just give the man some pasties dammit or the shirt is coming OFF)

Shownu as Gluttony:

I feel like people mistake Gluttony as only something based on an over abundance of food. But it can also mean the “over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or wealth items.”

Shownu is most like the definition of the virtue, Temperance (Virtue opposite of Gluttony).

“Temperance is defined as moderation or voluntary self-restraint. It is typically described in terms of what an individual voluntarily refrains from doing. This includes restraint from retaliation in the form of non-violence and forgiveness, restraint from arrogance in the form of humility and modesty, restraint from excesses such as splurging now in the form of prudence, and restraint from excessive anger or craving for something in the form of calmness and self-control.”

We know Shownu for his leadership and amazing self control. He is the Papa-Bear. Extremely supportive and a pretty chill person. But Shownu isn’t perfect despite people expecting him to be. He is human, he makes mistakes. Gluttony can go hand-in-hand with Greed in this situation. He wants Monsta X to succeed more and to be the best. I feel like Gluttony can go hand-in-hand with all of the sins, which Shownu might all have. Envious of other members due to his small popularity compared to them. Prideful of his talent and body and nature. Little pieces of each sin but at the same time, he has every aspect of all of the virtues as well. A balance between good and evil. Hence why he is the leader. He understands all of the “bad” parts of each member but he also knows all of the good parts too and respects them.

Requested: Nope, though I lowkey was going to request this on another blog but then got really inspired and decided to write it myself instead

Pairing: Monsta X Hyungwon x Wonho x Gender Neutral Reader

I’m mainly basing my knowledge of the industry from various Top Model series that my sister has forced me to watch with her, so there may be (probably will be) inaccuracy’s but I tried my best.

Hyungwon and Wonho are two models both under the same agency

both of them model for magazines and ads, but Hyungwon also does runway modelling while Wonho prefers to simply pose for the camera

they are both pretty big deals in the industry

having done various big contracts for various big name brands

shoots have been done both alone, together and with other models

let me tell you, people went crazy for the shoot the two did with model!Minhyuk and model!Changkyun

but not only are they loved for their visuals

but also their personalities

they also interact with fans a lot on social media

both of them have at least 200,000 followers on instagram and have various fan accounts dedicated to them

they are basically idols with the music career

(that is until famous producer!Jooheon did a collab with Wonho, which broke the Wonho stans when they heard his vocals)

Hyungwon loves shoots that take him outside of Korea, loving to travel

he is also an acted, though not very active in the industry

when people hear ‘model’ they immediately think of narcissistic, uptight people

but these two boys couldn’t be more different

they are both the softest, sweetest things ever

Wonho is so much more than just abs

he really shows off how sweet and considerate he is when on set

he asks how all the staff are and helps out with any heavy lifting that may need to be done

any co models are looked after by him

he makes sure that any female models he has to work with are comfortable, as well as males

Hyungwon is also more than just a pretty face

while quieter than Wonho and Minhyuk, and less outgoing

he is still a sweet baby

while people expect someone of his visuals to be dressed up well and with a cold attitude almost

our frog boy will often turn up to shoots barely awake, face all puffy and still half in his pajamas

and though photographers and companies think this unprofessional, they immediately chuck those thoughts away as Hyungwon smiles tiredly at them and just genuinely looks like a baby they need to protect

and people love it when the two of them are together

their Tom and Jerry style relationship is hilarious

both of them are huge teases, and this is amplified when they are put together

they are often seen appearing on each others instagrams and snapchats

usually stealing the others food or camera time

of course, with being famous comes shipping

and these two are a popular ship in their fanbases

especially since Hyungwon played a female character in a tv show and a video of Wonho fanboying over the character ‘Dodo’ got out

so when a statement was released about the two being in a relationship the Hyungwonho fans went crazy

nothing much changed in their relationship on camera

they are professionals after all, and have to act it

but every now and then you will get a cute picture of the two on one of their instagrams

one that suggests more than a platonic relationship

they are still the idiots that tease each other, it’s just that now they do it “because I love you”

now, it is about year later when you come into the picture

you are the one of the stylist’s that will be working on one of the rare shoots that the two will be doing together

of course, being in the fashion industry, you are very knowledgeable about the people in the same work force, including make up artists, other stylists, designers and of course, models

so you are familiar with Hyungwon and Hoseok, and actually consider yourself a fan

you follow their careers quite closely, considering them both very talented people that you look up to

so when you find out that they are two of the models at the shoot you are quite excited

sadly though you won’t be styling them, having been assigned to the team for the female models

the shoot is for a clothing lines winter collection, but not the outdoorsy coats and scarves you expect

but more party oriented, so there are lot’s of dresses, silk shirts and suits, fancy jewelry and high heels

as you are getting one of the girls dressed backstage, you hear some commotion coming from the main set

walking out, you find out that one of the models hadn’t shown up, saying last minute that they couldn’t make it due to illness

the shoot’s director is quite obviously stressing out, so you decide to just start backing away, deciding that the situation has nothing to do with you when the man in question looks around and catches your eye

“Hey! You there? Have you ever modelled? If not, then welcome to your first time,” he says towards you

while you just stand there, not having expected anything like this and before you can answer anything some staff are ushering you back to where you were

and this time you are the one with clothes being fitted onto you instead of the other way round

some of the other stylists are mentioning about how lucky you are

because if the likes of Wonho, Hyungwon, Hyolyn and Bora are models at this shoot; the fact that the director thinks that you have what it takes to work with them is a massive compliment

and you...aren’t actually all that nervous

mainly excited

because you yourself have quite a big following on social media

you post ootd’s and selfies often, and so you aren’t a stranger to being in front of a camera

you know fashion and you know how to work clothes and your body in order to look your best, so you aren’t worried that you will completely mess up and look an idiot

so with your confidence up thanks to your fellow stylists compliments, plus that of Hyolyn, the famous female model who just so happened to pop in to welcome you and check up on you; you are ready to walk out there and do you best

and that you do

you don’t get a chance to properly introduce yourself to anyone else before you are ushered into a solo shoot

you do however catch eyes with Wonho who is stood by photographer!Kihyun and smile politely, which he returns brightly

soon enough, it is somebody else’s turn to be in front of the camera and you step off set, glad to be out of the hot lights that made your face feel like it was melting

and this is when you formally meet Hyungwon and Hoseok

they are both standing closely together, and turn to you as you walk their way

“Hey! It’s nice to meet you. I’m Wonho and this is Hyungwon. You were real good up there you know. You wouldn’t think this was your first professional shoot.”

your cheeks turn slightly red, thankfully hidden by your makeup

now, you don’t blush because an attractive man just smile your way

you are well aware of the relationship between the two men after all

it’s more because someone so talented just complimented you and told you “you did good”

thanking them, you then introduce yourself and start chatting to the two, quickly finding them just as personable as people say, Wonho being more open and Hyungwon quieter but really quite funny you find out

you take a few selfies with them to upload to your social media, and between all the back and forthing on set you carry on conversations with them

as it starts getting late and the shoot wraps up, you get given a few cards to modelling agencies due to your good work that day, to which you’ll tell them you’ll think on it

after getting changed out of the fancy gear and wiping the makeup of your face, you change back into your own clothes and go to leave, thanking any staff you pass for their hard work

on your way out, you meet up with Hyungwon and Wonho who are also getting ready to leave to their apartment

you all talk for a few more minutes, before Wonho suggests exchanging phone numbers

and of course you say yes

who would say no?

and that is the start of your friendship with the couple

you become close with the two quite quickly, finding them hilarious and ever so sweet

thankfully they aren’t big on pda and aren’t one of those overbearingly in love sort of couples

which you appreciate because brunch ‘dates’ become a thing for you three

(it’s the best way to get Hyungwon to wake up; bribe him with food)

when the photos from the shoot you did are released, they throw a mini party for you because of the amazing response people gave you even though it was your first time

you meet the rest of their friends there, including a couple of guys you remember as staff from the shoot

months pass, with you taking on a few modelling jobs now and then thanks to the guys encouragement

you start to become a lot more popular, your own mini fanbase growing

the amount of compliments that are given in this relationship is countless, especially from Wonho who will tell you both that you look stunning, 5 minutes after he last called you it

and even if you are the biggest gym rat ever, nothing will get done while you are there because you two will be busy drooling over your boyfriend

which he loves because he works hard to keep up his fitness and appearance, and getting complimented on something you work hard for is always nice, no matter if it is good grades, an art piece, a song, your makeup or your body

when you move in with them, the amount of beauty stuff you have between the three of you is ridiculous
