Having weird or taboo fetishes is fine in and of itself, but at the same time, if you have weird or taboo fetishes, especially involving stuff that's almost universally viewed as disgusting, like rape, pedophilia, etc., you can't act surprised when other people find it unpleasant. That doesn't mean that anyone deserves harassment for shipping, writing fanfic, or engaging with/enjoying any other fandom related stuff, and yelling at other people for creating or enjoying fiction is and always will be a waste of time. It does mean that you have to be okay with other people not sharing your fetishes or kinks though and if you're going to complain about other people being prudes or basic boring bitches for having different tastes than you, consider that fandom is not the ideal hobby for you.
