let’s just remember that it’s okay to want or hope for whatever we want out of a piece of media. but it’s NOT okay to put pressure on the creator to confirm or deny what’s happening, to make your hopes canon, or to give you anything other than the art they are already putting out.

if you are die-hard about specific things happening, good news! fanfic and fanart are here for you!

please let the creators tell their stories and do their art the way they envision it. theorize all you want, but this is THEIR work. let them do it.

oh you wanna see fan art on Tumblr? use the free time at indoor lunch at school to quickly skim through on the school computer before either the bell rings or tumblr asked you to log in so you had to close the page

use the internet on your ds! yeah, use YouTube on that or you Wii U to watch cosplay TikToks or animations, but don't use your tablet cause if one of ur parents find the animation they won't understand, think its evil or something and take it away from you

wanna read fanfiction? steal your friends phone at lunch and quickly read the most you can, then beg repeatedly to do it for the rest of the week, or better yet, at the sleepover stay up till 2 AM reading Y/N x character on their phone while you slowly become addicted to the ship

want more friends to talk to you about your interest? beg and BEG them to indulge in the media you like and, maybe by some miracle, they do get into it, and it's the best feeling in the world

The only times I ever use the term “male gaze”, is if it’s in relation to weird, uncomfortable closeups of a female character getting r*ped, or uncomfortable closeups of underaged female characters.

I don't take people who unironically use the term "male gaze" seriously. I don't care what they have to say, that shit will never NOT fail to be corny. Especially since half the unwashed, greasy motherfuckers who use it just have an issue with female characters getting sexualized in general, regardless of whatever circumstances they're in. Seriously, they're not gonna thank you for "defending" them from bring sexualized. Take that stick out your ass.

I think many fans would enjoy f1 a lot more if they saw it like any other sport instead of feeling like it was a final every session 😭

tbh i agree yeah there's such a strong bias in favor of the present indicating all future outcomes, both in f1 media and in fandom, but the championship is won or lost over the course of an entire season. certainly each session does matter, but the shape of things is always developing and will only become clear in time. we can see patterns and trends, and have opinions about them, but there's a lot of season left to go. it's not good to burn out from feeling too much rage and despair each weekend imho even when times really are tough.

i'll be honest that the amount of negativity that's been put in my inbox and in the tags on my posts has been really wearing on me. i like f1, i like the sport, all the complexities of it. i do love lando, and i want the best for him, but i also like watching the racing more than i care about him having perfect results. it's interesting and fun for me to see how each weekend goes, even if i want lando to be having a better season so far, it's still has to stay fun for me. so.. i'm sorry but i need to have anon off for a little bit, so many messages are lovely!! but the ones that aren't feel louder right now :(

I had one of those weird conversations on Blue Sky today where I ultimately don't know if my point is misconstrued, or if I misconstrued the other person's point. It was about prison in Star Wars, and I mentioned Boba Fett.

I mean, my point is that forced prison labor is bad, Narkina 5 was very bad, and Boba Fett should never had been in prison with adults.

Okay update, I mentioned Ransolm Casterfo in a later comment, and this was the response. I mean, he's canon...and Bloodlines was originally going to have him killed, but thankfully he was imprisoned on Corellia.

I love when people pit two characters against each other in a “who would win” and it’s two characters who wouldn’t fight each other. There’s no situation in which they aren’t friends and allies. This hypothetical holds no merit they’re bonding and then destroying their enemies as a team and woe be upon their enemies.
