ok ok i have a dovewing design in mind for this au but im gonna draw that later bc i just wanna talk abt transmasc dovewing,,,,

ok so like thinking of dovewing being treated as basically a replacement for hollyleaf by all the other characters in her life. shes trying had to live up to this impossible larger than life figure who is hanging over her at all times. shes trying to be more like hollyleaf to please her clanmates who are kind of oblivious to her strife!! she leans into her more feminine side even though it makes her feel uncomfortable because she feels the need to fit this hole everyone is expecting her to fill

shes wearing plants in her fur like hollyleaf did. shes spiking her fur up a bit and trying to be this girl that shes not!! and hollyleafs been watching this all from the tunnels like dude what are you doing so she confronts him oneday and pep talks him and makes him realise hes trying to live up to ppls impossible expectations and he can just be himself.

and anyway he comes back to camp and comes out as a trans guy and everyone is supportive because they werent being actively hateful, just neglectful and ignorant of doves true feelings and and hes finally making his own hole to fill :)
