oh that one, this is what I get for turning off all my notifs
so, this is Kyan, the guy I'm currently playing.

he is half dragon, half bishounen (for lack of a better word), half muppet. named after a rock (kyanite), and he is dumb as rock as well, and I say that lovingly.
As he is currently, he's a wholesome, simple-minded, easily excited, but ultimately well-meaning guy. Kyan doesn't know much about the world, partly because of how he came to it.
Some years ago, lightning struck a rock face near a small, poor mining village, unveiling a previously unknown cave system, littered with faint blue veins. Upon exploring it further, the people of the town discovered a rather egg-shaped boulder. When they tried to move it out to asses if it was worth anything, it cracked, revealing a sparkling blue interior. Inside stood this guy, scaly, horny (in the literal sense), hunched over, and confused, mumbling what at first seemed to be gibberish.
After the initial surprise, he was led out into the sun, and presented the elders of the village, who eventually identified Kyan's mumbling as a much older form of the language they were speaking. Kyan himself was taken in as the benevolent immortal spirit of the mountain. His missing horn was then explained as a gift to the village's people, as it seemed to be from the same blue rock that was found in the cave. It turned out the rock was quite valuable and brought the village a brief period of prosperity.
During this time, Kyan spent most of his days getting adjusted to sunlight, people, and the current language, which he was slowly learning. He did not remember a thing, which did not seem to bother him much. He watched the people who took great care of him, and had enough sense to go along with whatever legend he was supposedly the personification of. He also conveniently didn't mention that the inside of his egg was inscribed with something, but he couldn't read it and the people of the village couldn't see it.
Eventually, he's adjusted well enough to go outside freely. His preferences and personality also made themselves clearer. The light, plant-based, diet his "believers" provided him was great and clearly made with care, and all Kyan was just much less of an enlightened being and much more of an animal than he tried to let on. As such, he took to sneaking out at night and... fishing, and eating the raw fish as they were, and he guiltily realised that he liked that much better than cooked food. In his infinite wisdom, he then decided that the best course of action, would be to make friends with the people cooking for him and learning from them. This went surprisingly well, and he bonded with the mostly older women around the kitchen and the kids who hung around. There, it became clear that he is very much a yapper with very little filter, who uses his inhuman features to play pranks on kids, and that his cooking is just fine, but nothing exceptional.
It was also there where he received perhaps the most valuable piece of advice, the exact words being: "son, you can make it really far in life with just your looks and height alone, that is if you shut up, though."
Unfortunately for Kyan, he started out as a dnd character, which means a mandatory trauma or two. As such, his 3-year-ish career as a minor benevolent dragon deity ends with a violent torrential downpour that triggers a landslide that buried the village. Kyan crawled out of the rubble a few days later in the form of a dragon. after spending days searching for survivors and contemplating whether he was somehow the cause of this catastrophe. Finally, he puts up a stone there to commemorate the place and essentially runs away.
After this, he spends some years not wanting to engage with his past at all, and largely travels alone, despite feeling profoundly lonely. Eventually, he starts doing odd jobs, mainly in kitchens and inns but his loud mouth tends to cause him trouble and gets him sacked multiple times. After one of these events, he meets a troubled noble whom he quickly befriends (clings onto) and starts travelling with...

he's also had a life before his cave-timeout. That part of his story is still kinda vague but it actually explains why he's missing a half of his horn. there is so much more to him tbh, but most of it is confined in chats and this is already long as hell
