'it feels like wasted potential that the beta and tilda 'maternal' dynamic wasn't played up and explored more seeing as it would be SUPER interesting if beta, who serves in part as both aloy's contrast and the flipside of her coin, technically DID have some kind of a mother and aloy initially being angered perhaps that BETA did but SHE didnt before understanding this mother in particular...really wasn't so great

Coupled w Varl's complicated relationship w Sona as the middle ground between Tilda's neglect and Aloy's putting Lis up on an untouchable pedestal I feel it'd be a cool way to explore motherhood as a theme in ALL its complexities and maybe help heal Aloy's frankly unhealthy strive to Be A Legacy because she had nothing of the sort growing up in the eyes of the Nora']
