she was born NATALIE ROSE SERRANO, to two working class parents in new york city. she knew from a young age that she was just supposed to be rich and famous, and that something had gotten mixed up somewhere and she was put in the wrong life.

in high school she got a scholarship to a fancy private catholic school, and that’s where she started to hone her craft of manipulating rich people. she would befriend all of the richest bitches at school and take advantage of everything that came along with it: vacations to far away places, stays in the family’s cabins and lake houses, even designer clothes that her friends no longer wanted and would gift to her, thinking it was their idea all along

as she grew up and got better at getting what she wanted out of people, her entitled attitude only got worse, driving a wedge between her and her parents, who kept waiting for her to develop a work ethic and kept being disappointed. a few months after she graduated high school, on her 18th birthday, her parents kicked her out of the house and cut her off, hoping that it would force her to grow up and take on any responsibility

but that plan backfired for them, her parents underestimating how truly stubborn natalie was. the day after her 18th, she wandered into a local strip club and got a job, figuring it’d be the easiest and quickest way to get some cash, and she took to it naturally and actually really enjoyed stripping

she started to embody an entirely new persona that she had created for herself, dancing under the name POISON IVY and telling everyone she was a trust fund baby that had been cut off from her rich parents, needing to dance to supplement her income, and her lies just continued to spiral out of control until she almost started to believe it herself. she had never told anyone at the club her real name, not even the other strippers, just going by “ivy” for a while.

she had learned to weaponize the power she had over people by being pretty and charming, using her looks for absolute evil and doing whatever it took to get money—from straight up pickpocketing, to making men buy her expensive gifts, to blackmailing, to sugar babying, to getting patrons wasted and manipulating them into tipping her absurd amounts… she did it all, very quickly earning enough to live the life she had always dreamed of, that she felt she deserved for whatever twisted reason.

she started posting on instagram with the name poison ivy generally just flaunting her carefree, extravagant life, often exaggerating or down right lying just to really dazzle her quickly growing audience

as she started to go down the influencer route, she realized she needed to do something to hide the skeletons in her closet ( the fact that she didn’t actually come from money and was making far more than was normal for even the best of dancers, a couple of small possession / shoplifting charges, and just generally anything that could lead people to her real identity ) so she started to tell people her name was ives, fully taking on the new identity. she even went so far as to make some of the people that had been closest to her sign NDAs about her real identity, making sure that no one could sell info about her should her plan of being famous work out

she also moved out to california to run away from everyone in the city that was starting to catch on to what she was doing, basically doing all the same shit but now in a New Place.. this was about 3-4 years ago, so she’s been in sunhollow for a while now doing the whole influencer thing !!

and it did work out !! at first she was definitely buying followers/likes to boost her likelihood of brand sponsorships, but eventually she faked it until she made it and actually attained influencer status. she then used her newfound internet fame ( and some classic blackmailing ) to get herself a record deal 

she also started sleeping around with pretty much any famous person she could, having very public relationships and breakups and scandals to keep her name in the press, which ultimately lead to more exposure/people following her, if only to see what she did next, which lead to even more sponsorships

eventually she stopped dancing and just focused on her influencing and more recently ( like... less than 6 months ago recently ) her music career. but she never stopped sugar babying and scamming rich stupid men, still very much using that as a means to keep up her lifestyle. she’s also done a few modeling things, but it’s mostly just like catalog work or being the face of a trendy campaign bc she’s way too short for the runway

she also recently made an only fans account bc she was bored one night and was mostly planning on posting once as a joke but then she made a bunch of money / got a bunch of subscribers and was like oh word ? i can do that ! so she will post on there from time to time but she’s not like… super serious about it ya know ? also her music label is big mad at her for it bc they’re like bUt yOuR rEpUtAtIoN and she’s like yeah.. but my bank account ? also it’s no secret she used to be a stripper so she rly just.. doesn’t give a fuck !

Here you show a real case of a TROLL… stealing photos of other people, creating false accounts, making up a false story, to manipulate people, and trying to harm Jared. After that, you (K) can be sure that this TROLL will come back with other fake accounts, other stolen photos, and some “gossip”, to try to manipulate people who still believe everything they read on the internet. It’s because of creatures like those, that fake news is becoming more and more common on social media. PEOPLE, don’t believe everything you see on the internet. If you see something, look for the real source, search for what you saw, so as not to go around passing fake news. There are a lot of disgusting people who want to hurt artists (among others), because they couldn’t get what those artists have (fame, success, money, recognition…). If you want something, TROLL, go after your “dream” for yourself, stop scaling the fame and success of those artists, to “get there”. You will only be someone in this life, if you deserve it, and stepping on others, or harming someone, you will not get what you want. And remember… “What you do in this life, you pay here, in this life”. So, don’t think you’re being smart, while trying to manipulate others, using fake accounts, fake names, or whatever shit you use, to harm someone. Everything you, TROLL, do for others, will come back to you someday. Hiding behind false accounts won’t keep you “safe”, there is always someone who will discover your games, and manipulations, and bring it up. June 2017 Book Roundup

This month, I read thirteen books, some of which were total disappointments, one of which really surprised me, and one of which was easily among the best followups I’ve read in a while.  That was my favorite book of the month, Kiersten White’s Now I Rise, the second in her Conqueror’s Saga.  As that is a sequel and definitely requires reading of the first book, And I Darken, I also want to recommend The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.  A sweeping historical fiction novel, it tells the tale of a glamorous Hollywood icon with plenty of secrets, and showcases a unique romance that surprised me--but also made me very happy.  Hopefully, I’ll find something just as good next month!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.  4/5.  When Starr and her childhood friend Khalil are pulled over by a cop, the worst happens: the unarmed--innocent--Khalil is killed.  Starr is the only witness, and she’s torn in several different directions.  Her parents are worried about her safety, and her father’s gangster past makes things a bit more complicated; protesters want Starr to come forward and defend Khalil, who is being labeled a drug dealer and a “thug” by the media; and Starr herself goes to a predominantly white private school, and isn’t sure what her friends would think.  Obviously, “The Hate U Give” deals with a lot of content that I as a white girl really can’t properly comment on, and that’s one of the reasons why I gave it four out of five stars--I can’t speak to its accuracy.  But from what I’ve heard from friends who can, it’s viewed very positively, and it seems to reflect much of what we see in cases involved unarmed black men being shot by cops--with a personal spin.  Starr is a deeply relatable, human character.  I felt empathy for her, while at the same time not feeling like she was too perfect.  The story is written so lovingly, and Starr’s entire family felt like people I would actually meet.  The conflict of the book isn’t just surrounding the main plot, but Starr’s parents’ differing views on what their children need, and Starr’s father’s past. Starr’s dad, Mav, was a GREAT character. He’s exactly the kind of person that people uneducated about these issues need to see: an innately good person with a rough past, trying to do right by his family while at the same time dealing with some understandable demons.  The only thing I can complain about is Starr’s boyfriend, who struck me as the most annoying type of white boy.  And she deserved better, no questions asked.

A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux.  4/5.  This romance novels sees schoolteacher Dougless crying in an English church right after being dumped and abandoned by her boyfriend.  Her tears seem to bring Lord Nicholas Stafford from the sixteenth century--though he’s not quite the knight in shining armor she expected.  Nicholas is remembered not for his accomplishments, but his many affairs and his eventual execution; and he wants to go back to his time, but not before figuring out how to prevent all of that.  Dougless agrees to help him, but like... you can guess about what ensues.  This book is considered a classic in the romance genre.  It was written in the late 80s, and that does show; while Dougless isn’t anti-feminist, she’s definitely a product of an adjustment to feminism.  She wants her boyfriend to take care of her WITHIN REASON, and he’s such a tool that you can understand why.  The thing is that the book has a fluffy, wish fulfillment quality that is impossible to resist.  Deveraux makes Nicholas sexy, but isn’t above making fun of him, and critiquing him for that matter.  Dougless experiences noticeable character development, and while the book is imperfect, it’s highly enjoyable.

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon.  4/5.  Teenage coder Dimple isn’t planning on following her mother’s plans and settling down anytime soon.  So she’s thrilled when her parents pay for her to go to Insomnia Con, a coding contest with a prize that involves her idol.  Little does she know that Rishi is also going to Insomnia Con--and though she has no idea who he is, their parents have been planning on the two of them getting married for years.  Traditional, dreamy, artistic Rishi knows that he’s supposed to get to know Dimple and someday marry her; and he thinks she knows that too.  (She does not.)  So when the two meet, there isn’t exactly the instant connection he expected.  But after they become partners for the contest, they get to know each other--and understand each other.  This YA romance was adorable, and probably one of the best I’ve read in a long time.  Sandhya Menon is writing about what she knows, and it shows.  Rishi and Dimple are able to bond over their shared cultural backgrounds, but that doesn’t mean they’re the same person--the expectations Rishi’s parents have for him are different because he’s a boy, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there.  He reacts to his parents by embracing his culture and putting aside his dreams, while Dimple becomes aggressively rebellious.  Their chemistry is perfect, and I became invested in their relationship very quickly.  This is a great approach to the “arranged marriage” genre, and is a bit more lighthearted than other recent versions I’ve seen.

The Breakdown by B.A. Paris.  2/5.  While driving late one night, Rachel sees a young woman pulled over on the side of the road.  Soon after, she hears about a murder--and realizes that not only did she see the woman just before she was killed, but that she knew her.  Then Rachel begins forgetting small things on a daily basis, apparently having a breakdown; but the specter of her mother’s demise from early-onset dementia hangs over her as she grows increasingly paranoid and sure that the killer is after her.  This book was profoundly disappointing.  It had the makings of a good domestic thriller, but I called almost every single thing that happened, and the pathos of it all weren’t that deep.  Even when it seemed as if it was going to get interesting for a minute, it didn’t.

Once and for All by Sarah Dessen.  3/5.  Louna (omg Sarah Dessen protagonist names) is the daughter of a famous wedding planner, jaded about love both due to her cynical mother’s outlook and the tragic ending of her first real relationship.  Then she meets Ambrose, the outgoing son of one of her mother’s clients.  In order to keep him out of his bride-to-be sister’s hair, Louna’s mother gives him a job for the summer, and as Louna and Ambrose bond, they begin to challenge each other in unexpected ways.  Honestly, this was a feel-good book and it was cute in the way that Sarah Dessen books always are, and cheesy in the way they always are (lol her protagonist names I mean...).  But while I remember “Saint Anything” being good, I honestly disliked “The Moon and More” and I feel as if nothing of hers has really hit me since books like “Just Listen”, “The Truth About Forever”, and of course “This Lullaby”, which is one of my all-time favorites.  Ambrose was really cute, but his conflicts with Louna seemed super contrived--and for that matter, at times he seemed like a Dexter (”This Lullaby”) rip-off.  Louna had a sad backstory, but it never connected with me partially because she never connected.  Again, it’s cute but I wasn’t super invested, and the investment in the main relationship--or at least the main characters--are key to really loving a Dessen book.  I also feel like Dessen usually benefits from building a romantic relationship between the characters ahead of the last 25% of the book (see: “This Lullaby” and “Just Listen”).  Otherwise, she needs to amp up the sexual tension in a palpable way to get people invested faster (see: “The Truth About Forever”).  The tension between Ambrose and Louna just wasn’t there.  Hope this author gets her mojo back soon.

The Forger’s Spell by Edward Dolnick.  4/5.  This non-fiction book takes on the story of Han Van Meegeren--a failed artist who managed to dupe the world with his forged “Vemeer” paintings.  Most notably, Hermann Goering, Hitler’s right-hand man, was a buyer of one the fakes.  Really, Van Meegeren’s story is the backdrop for a deeper investigation about how forgeries happen in the art world.  Dolnick does a good job, though I didn’t agree with all of his assertions--he describes the famed art critic’s “eye” as something that does exist, albeit after a lot of training.  Really, the “eye” seems to be dismissed by many today, whether or not you’ve been trained.  He also seems to go along with a lot of ideas that are those of a connoisseur, and applies them to art critics and art historians in general.  While some art historians specialize in connoisseurship, not all connoisseurs are art historians; in fact, connoisseurship seems to be falling out of style, and my school didn’t bother much with it.  I also feel that he could have done a better job of differentiating between the historian and the critic.  Overall, the book is a good examination of the psychological aspects that go into forgery, but this is very much a book about history.  Today, Van Meegeren probably couldn’t have pulled this off--not simply because the art market has more resources now in terms of scientific testing, but because it seems to me that art historians are now being trained in a very different way in a post-Panofsky, post-Schapiro world.  We’re told to be highly skeptical at all times, and while it’s possible that the old guard would have still fallen for a fake Vermeer, I think that many younger art historians would have been more inherently skeptical.  Anyway, I clearly geeked out over this book and found it highly interesting.

The Warrior Queen by Lavinia Collins.  2/5.  An Arthurian retelling and the first of a trilogy, this book focuses on Guinevere’s early marriage to King Arthur following his defeat of her father’s forces.  Pretty sure this was self-published or published by a small indie publisher, and it showed.  This book is quite short (it’s bound in an omnibus as part I with the rest of the trilogy, but it seems that it’s listed on Goodreads as an individual novel too) and while it’s not terribly written, there is some repetition that an editor would have (or should have) caught.  It’s not a bad book and I think that if you’re looking for more of a simple romance, it’s okay.  But as it is, it runs extremely quickly and the character development suffers.  For that matter, while the Lancelot romance is very present, Kay takes Lancelot’s role in places where he shouldn’t, and Morgan le Fay seems to be a typical schemer.  Not for me.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.  5/5.  Aging Hollywood legend Evelyn Hugo calls upon Monique Grant, a no-name journalist, to write her biography out of nowhere.  Monique understandably wants to focus on Evelyn’s seven marriages--which one was the love of her life, anyway?  Evelyn reveals herself to be much tougher--and much more scheming--than she initially might have seemed.  And there are plenty of secrets to be revealed, including her connection to Monique.  I really, really liked this book.  It had elements of grand romance and tragedy, while at the same time retaining the feel of a tell-all.  The reveal of Evelyn’s greatest love was well-done, and I believed in the ups and downs of the relationship.  You can definitely choose the starlets from whose lives Reid drew.  It’s well worth the read, and I plan on trying Reid’s other books soon.  

Marriage of a Thousand Lies by S.J. Sindu.  2/5.  Lucky (short for Lakshmi) is a part of a traditional Tamil family, and as such has married Krishna to please her mother.  The thing is that both Lucky and Krishni are gay, and simply protecting each other’s (and their families’) reputations through their sham marriage.  Then Lucky learns that Nisha, her childhood friend and first love, is getting married.  As Nisha and Lucky reenter each other’s lives, they find themselves unable to resist each other, while Lucky’s life implodes around her. This is a short read and the prose is very pretty, but I found Lucky to be pretty dull.  Krishna was the character I wanted to know more about, to be honest; or even Nisha.  It felt pretty paint by numbers, but perhaps that’s because I’m not from the same cultural background as Lucky.  Not a bad book, but I just didn’t connect to it.

Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser.  1/5.  Caro is descended from generations of river sailors, all of whom worship the river god.  After her father refuses to transport a crate--who knows what’s in it?--Caro agrees to do the task in order to gain his freedom.  Aaaand so on.  I think I hated this book so much in part because it could have been a lot more.  But it was so slow.  And there was cliche after cliche.  And there were frog people; listen, I know that some of y’all are probably down for actual green frog people who catch flies with their tongues, but I don’t play D&D and I’m not there yet in terms of geekdom.  Also, the romance was insufferable, and tongues actually tangled. This book was published by Bloomsbury, I assume there an editor involved, and THEIR TONGUES STILL TANGLED.  That was when I knew this was a one star book. 

Four Queens: The Provencal Sisters Who Ruled Europe by Nancy Goldstone.  3/5.  This non-fiction book tells the story of four sisters of Provence--Marguerite, Eleanor, Sanchia, and Beatrice.  Marguerite was married off to Louis IX of France, which in turn led to Eleanor becoming Henry III of England’s bride--Sanchia and Beatrice’s queenships would come later down the road.  So to call them the sisters who ruled Europe is a bit misleading, but it makes for a great title; and it truly is remarkable that a fairly unassuming noble family would produce four girls who would all become queens.  As you might imagine, the fact that this all took place during the thirteenth century means that Goldstone has to make some leaps in logic based on her research, especially in regards to the comparatively minor Sanchia and Beatrice.  I know little about the subject so I can’t speak to Goldstone’s accuracy, but all in all it was a nice pop history read.

The Alice Network by Kate Quinn.  2/5.  Shortly after the end of World War II, American Charlie St. Clair travels to Europe with her mother to take care of a “little problem”--her out of wedlock pregnancy.  At the same time, however, she wants to figure out what happened to her beloved cousin Rose, who went missing during the war.  During her search, she meets Eve--a woman who served as a spy during World War I.  The story takes on their alternating perspectives, as Charlie struggles to find Rose and Eve grapples with her past.  This kind of crushed me, as I am such a big fan of Kate Quinn’s Mistress of Rome series.  I never really bothered with her Giulia Farnese books, because I knew that through no fault of Quinn’s they wouldn’t work for me; but this disappointed me.  I’m not the hugest fan of World War I and II as historical eras, and I certainly love Ancient Rome a lot more.  But this could have  been so compelling.  It takes so long to start, however, and Eve’s perspective was less interesting than Charlie’s, to the point that I kept wishing that I could skip Eve’s chapters entirely. By the time the action and romance really began, I was so zoned out that it didn’t matter anymore.

Now I Rise by Kiersten White.  5/5.  The followup to the already-great start that was “And I Darken”, “Now I Rise” continues the dual stories of Lada (the fictionalized female equivalent of Vlad Tepes/Vlad the Impaler) and her brother Radu.  While Lada is struggling to reclaim her throne in Wallachia, Radu remains a servant of the Ottoman Empire and its sultan, Mehmed--the man he secretly loves.  Of course, Mehmed is obsessed with Lada--almost as much as he’s obsessed with Constantinople--and Lada is sort of obsessed with him back, but not as much as she’s obsessed with her birthright.  This book sees the incredibly twisted trio get even darker.  I really appreciate that Lada, Radu, and Mehmed aren’t super great people; Radu is less blood/power-thirsty than his sister and friend, but he is very manipulative and at times places his desire for Mehmed above loyalty to his sister.  (Which is fucked up, as Mehmed would probably sell Radu to Satan for one corn chip if that corn chip was Lada, who in turn never knows how to feel about Mehmed because boy is hot but boy is also about as twisted as she is.)  I love this series so much because of the moral grayness and dualities of all of these characters.  Even when they did things that I really didn’t agree with, I still understood why they did them.  For that matter, the supporting characters (especially Nazira, Radu’s equally gay wife) really upped the game of this book.  This series is an absolute must-read.

I feel as if this song is the closest a fan can get with Kim Namjoon. Just listening to it you feel a bit relaxed and almost a bit sad when you start listening to the first half of the song. This song reflects a person’s tender emotions and voices that run inside of someone’s head when they are confused. I remember listening to this 2 years ago and towards the end Namjoon starts screaming out all his pain and I started crying. C R Y I N G

Namjoon had a really smooth life up until he started pursuing hip hop. He was a beyond smart student and had a happy family so why the hell would he be depressed? He had his whole life ahead of him right?

But this lyrics totally breaks that facade down

 “ I didn’t have any dreams just like my lyrics, every day in that way the functions and equations that couldn’t give me an answer in the end those things became uncountable injuries “

Despite having such amazing grades Namjoon did not know what the hell he wanted to do with his life, he didnt want to go into something academic despite being good at it, he was lost in life and his academics could not make him happy but instead hurt him even more.

“ thought I could catch the mirage known as happiness but the me in front of my desk wasn’t happy even for a moment without my mom knowing, I put a sheet of white paper between the pages of my workbook “

This verse totally broke me apart. He wanted to be happy while being in school but school sure as hell did not make him happy. His parents looked up to him as some smartass freak but without them knowing he started writing his own lyrics to cope with his hardships.

“my identity that I wrote down matched to the drum and bass a different, relaxed feeling compared to when I got my report card even when I was #1 my heart couldn’t relax”

The music brought out his true inner feelings, music brought out his true personality rather than when he was almost robot like studying with no self-identity. Despite being number one in class he still felt an emptiness that only music could fill.

“even as 7 years passed... still making my mixtape by myself in one corner of my room some say I’m fake, okay, I admit it, my dark past I can justify it, but I won’t, so that kind of problem won’t happen again the pedal that I stepped on for 7 years has finally been oiled “

Namjoon has been writing music and tried to get recognition for 7 years, despite Bangtan getting fame he is still lonely writing his own mixtape in a dark corner, kind of pathetic ehh idk, in his mixtape interview his dark past was his problematic sayings and actions. He felt the need to appropriate culture in order to rap. He then figured out that music and culture had nothing to do with eachother, music is for everyone. *I’m fake*

And finally after all the hardships after 7 years he is finally started to receive praise and attention!

I think its absolutely amazing how Namjoon especially writes song towards youth suffering in school, it takes a lot of guts to write against a society that has been around for decades.

So Namjoon used to have a girlfriend who “mistreated” him. Tbvh we really don’t know what happened but on problematic men he said it wasnt anything serious it was just she would neglect him and not spend enough time but also hang out with other men.

But clearly the lyrics of this song are very emotional but the real reason why this song is a masterpiece is because of the rise of  emotions.

It starts off slow and cute, Namjoon mentions how he loves the girl and how their love is pure and innocent, throwing cute love phrases and the song sounds so soft, hopeful, and romantic. But in the middle the music starts to get more serious and Namjoon starts to question the relationship. He feels as if the girl thinks of this relationship as more of a task and a job, and slowly as the song comes to an end NAMJOON STARTS FUCKING SCREAMING AND BELTING! This song is more recent and farely well known but I still felt the need to put this masterpiece here. Namjoon said not to worry about him as the lyrics are really sad and almost ???SUICIDAL??? but he said he wrote this when he was stressed last year. Its kind of a self questioning song about life and your purpose. I cried when it came out. well i always cry when i listen to namjoon is it a surprise.

I'm honestly in tears because this song goes to show how hurt Namjoon still is even after all these years. Even after all these awards, fans, and accomplishments. Depression still hurts after a long time. I can tell that this song was talking about his past. This song literally made me realize Namjoon was questioning his existence and I wanna hold him so badly. Guys...we could of lost Kim Namjoon. My absolute favourite human being in the entire world who saved my life. He is a human being who does not deserve such pain but I am so proud he endured it so well and look how far he came. One of my favourite verses "I live for the sake of understanding this world, but why hasnt the world tried to understand me atleast once" Its a really vague phrase which is why I like it. WORLD could mean destiny, fate, life, even parents.  He tries so hard to accept his life, to understand his parents wishes, sacrificing his own happiness yet fate decides to only give him the worst. "Dad please listen to me" "dead dad, your dead to me," Talking about how his dad wouldn't let him rap. I remember him mentioning that his dad once told him all that education he worked hard for was for nothing and I can’t imagine how sad Namjoon felt in that moment. "I would tell god if I ever meet him, i would hold him by the collar and tell him this life is like a coffee I never ordered" A pretty sad and a bit confusing verse, maybe leading to why Namjoon eventually became an atheist. Namjoon was in so much pain he didnt want to be born. "I wished I was dead...... I wished “Someone would kill me" No Namjoon never utter such words. My joonie mini I hope you are better and hopeful now, look at how far you came, your so successful and loved, and you made your family proud. Dont ever doubt yourself and even think about death, just keep living happily and moving forward. He honestly felt lost in this point of his life and still continues to feel lost. Namjoon you have such in important role and your existence was destined. You were born for a reason. You were born to change lives.

He’ll Never be Mine

Hello. This is my first blog type post on here, I thought I’d post it to Tumblr because it would be weird if I posted it on Insta and it’s too long for Twitter imo. If you are reading this get your hate comments ready cause I’m dumping my feelings. Warning: hella long post ahead. I might split it up in parts if it’s way too long but hopefully it won’t be like, extremely long.

I don’t know how to word this, I will try to split things up into paragraphs to make it easier to read and understand I guess. I’ll try not to skip around, when I was writing this my thoughts were a mess. I will go slow and try to explain myself and everything.

So..I have a problem. First let me just say that Namjoon is my bias, he’s actually my ub. That’s the problem. I’ll try to make sense as I explain but I might still be scattered in my thoughts.

I guess I’ll start with this person’s account on Insta. There’s this fan page on Instagram that I started following because they posted pictures of Namjoon. I wanted more pictures of Namjoon so I followed them. They started just posting pictures of Namjoon, then they put little captions saying things like ‘I love him so much’ or ‘I wish we could meet, I know I can give him the love he deserves.’ Namjoon is my bias in BTS and my ub so naturally I was like ‘same’ and there were people in the comments shipping them and saying they hope Namjoon finds them and they get married because they deserve each other and stuff like that. At that time I was still new to the account, I didn’t know them that well but I said something along the lines of ‘I don’t know you as a person but you deserve Namjoon more than anyone else in the world’ and that’s when I started to get sad.

Every time I went on Insta they would always post heartfelt messages about Namjoon and I started to feel like I was a bad person. I felt like I wasn’t loving him as much as I thought I was or thought I should. He stuck out to me in the Bulletproof mv, the first BTS mv I watched. He didn’t really become my bias til in between the ‘I Need U’ and ‘Run’ eras. Ever since I’ve loved him. Or did I? I mean how much love can a fan have towards and idol as a fan to an idol relationship?

It got to the point where I stopped going on Insta because I didn’t want to ruin my day by seeing someone show their love for Namjoon and making me feel worthless, in a way. Is it my fault? Am I a bad person because someone is showing their love for Namjoon? Isn’t that what I want, I wanted people to love and appreciate him as much as I did because in the beginning people wanted Namjoon to leave BTS. They called him ugly. I always felt like I loved him the most. When I got into BTS I thought I was the only one that loved him. Now there’s this person who seems to love him more than I do.

I feel like the only reason I loved him was for one thing but that one thing wasn’t even the reason I loved him in the first place. I honestly thought I was the only one that loved and appreciated Namjoon, like I said everyone called him ugly in the beginning. I never saw it, I think there are still people out there that think Namjoon is ugly. I feel like people just don’t pay attention to Namjoon. He’s not only extremely handsome but he’s smart af and he’s always saying philosophical things and he’s so wise and he’s kind toward the fans and his members and people still don’t see that. Anyway, I thought I was giving him the most love I could as a fan to an idol but then I find this person on Instagram who seems to love Namjoon even more than me. And maybe they do. Maybe they truly love him, everything about him. Maybe they are perfect for Namjoon. Maybe that person is in fact Namjoon’s, what people call, soulmate. They just haven’t met yet. This person wants to meet Namjoon and tell him how much they love him and how much he means to them. I mean, this person runs a fanpage for Namjoon, if that doesn’t show love from a fan to an idol then I don’t know what does.

I thought I would do that some day and get to meet him and tell him all the things I love and appreciate about him but maybe I don’t. Maybe I have this thing in my mind about what I want to happen and it’s affecting my feelings and emotions. Maybe I don’t love Namjoon as much as this person does. Maybe this person truly loves Namjoon for more than one reason and maybe they truly deserve him and everything that Namjoon’s looking for in a partner is in that person. Except for maybe one thing. I’ll get to that later cause I know I will get shit on for it and I want to get this other stuff said first.

I need to get rid of this illusion that I have of Namjoon and the other members as well other idols cause at the end of the day it won’t matter which fan loves them more because they probably won’t even date a fan. Namjoon is a human who does things and says things like everyone else, I mean, if you think about it we all shit the same way. That’s how we know someone is human, if that makes sense. I seem to have this illusion of this guy I want as a bf and my illusion is a standard that I have now and it’s not right for me to have that. It’s not right for me to only want to be with someone because of their looks or because they remind me of someone else right? It’s not fair on that other person. I should be focused on finding someone that won’t make me think of my illusion or my standards, my fake dreams. I need to find someone that I know will love me and I will love them, not because of my feeling towards other things but because of my feelings towards that person. Who they are as a person.

I can only love an idol so much right? But I feel like this person has surpassed that. I need to keep reminding myself that after their idol days they go back to being normal humans who go out and do everyday things, they will all get married eventually and start a family and I can’t live my life pretending that I’m going to be with them cause I’m not. I’m only a fan, I am nothing more even if I wanted to be.

Sometimes there are times where I feel like I love Namjoon more than this person but maybe what I think is love is actually jealously. I know that this person has a better chance of being with Namjoon than me and I’m jealous of that because I want him. I’m selfish and I’m letting all these emotions get to me and block my logical thinking. Sometimes I think idols won’t date fans because that could cause a lot of problems, the fans that were with the idols and supporting them before will get mad at them and be jealous that they chose another fan over them. They will think, like me, that they deserve that idol more than anyone else. An idol dating a fan could be a big mistake, the fans could start attacking each other and ganging up on each other because they disagree with that idols decision. Wouldn’t it be better for an idol to marry another idol or a model or actor/actress? That would kind of be a common enemy I guess, the fans wouldn’t be turning on themselves but they would all hate the same actor or actress or singer. It would suck for whoever the idol choose to have as a partner though. Maybe an idol dating a regular person that is not famous or knows nothing about them is a good idea because that person would fall in love for who they are as a human, how they present themselves to each other and not be biased because of the fame of that idol. Even if I did love Namjoon more than I give myself credit for I will never be with him.

There were times where I would get so down, from being on insta that I would go to bed early or feel like my whole day was ruined because of it. When BTS has their U.S debut and they were on the AMAS and the talk shows I was fine, I was really happy to see them on my tv, which is something I never thought was possible but once I got back on insta and saw more of this person’s posts the feeling returned and I got sad all over again. I spent a lot of money so I could see them performing on my tv and I was extremely emotional, I was sobbing when they performed at the AMAS but there’s people who do the same thing I do, spend a lot of money and get emotional and they go to the concerts and fanmeets. They get a chance to connect with that artist and be in their presence.

I guess the fact that I grew up poor made me more emotional than others at the smallest things. To some people seeing someone on tv is not a big deal and concerts are a bigger deal but for me, that was a moment in my life that was a huge deal. I was watching this group that was not from the U.S, that started out with nothing, grew and achieved so many things and I was seeing them on a local tv channel with my own eyes. It’s hard to explain but the feeling it gave me, the way I felt seeing that was real, I don’t fake cry, I was emotional and proud and happy all at the same time and I never thought I would see that.

I never thought I would see kpop idols, people I loved, appreciated and looked up to on my tv, seeing them on my phone or computer is not as big of a deal as watching them on an American tv show and knowing and seeing them actually there. It’s incredible. It all ties in to how proud I am of them, they started out with less than 10,000 fans in 2013 and within 4 years they debuted into the US and met American artists and did collabs that they themselves never dreamed of and honestly with all the words in my vocabulary I can not string a sentence together to describe or tell them how proud I am of them. It’s all because Namjoon, this man I love walked with them and guided them to success, he is an amazing leader and so much more and that should never come between the fact that I feel as if I don’t love them. I have to realize that no matter how small my love for Namjoon and BTS might be to other people it’s a big amount for me

I love them with all my heart and I still put my family first. There have been times where I loved them more than my own family and that’s when I have to be real and know how much love I can give them after my family and friends and my heart is only so big, figuratively and literally. Even with the love I have for my family and friends I still have room for BTS. There is room in there for Yoongi and J-Hope and Jimin and Tae and Jungkook and Jin and especially Namjoon.

I have to remind myself all the things I did in those 4 weeks was showing love and dedication for them and this person on insta can not match that. You can’t compete with what I’ve done in my life to someone who probably has it easy and has the money and tv channels. I can’t act like I don’t love Namjoon just because some post that this person made made me believe I couldn’t. They may have a fan account and tons of followers but you don’t need a fan account to prove to others how much you love him. There are many people that don’t have fan accounts for the people they love and admire or pages that aren’t dedicated to them and that’s ok because it’s your account, it’s your page. If you don’t want to share something with somebody you don’t have to but just because you don’t does not mean that you don’t love and appreciate that person. Just because I don’t have any fan accounts dedicated to Namjoon doesn’t mean I don’t love him or love him any less than others.

I’m gonna say this now because it’s short and this post isn’t close to being over but..this is hard to explain. I feel like the person on insta has a better chance of being with Namjoon then me because they are beautiful and stuff but they aren’t black or Asian. There I said it, a lot of idols ideal types of whatever are black people or their own race. I really didn’t want to bring race into this but I’m dumping everything and this is part of it. Idols seem to want someone with small lips or someone who’s cute or can cook but I think they actually want someone with a nice body and by nice body I mean like..a nice body, you know like nice parts and black women definitely have that.
