Thing that baffles me about Palworld is now its been out a lil and people have explored it more... Apparenlty the whole slavery and animal abuse aspect which is *heavily advertised* as the quirky silly gimmick is... completely optional and often the worst way to play the game.

WHY WOULD YOU ADVERTISE IT LIKE THAT??? Oh yeah cuz people who dont like funny haha animal slavery are definitely going to buy the funny haha slavery game. And then its actually like 60% funny haha slavery.

(I'm basing this off the steam page primarily. Its like... Half the description and images. Because surprisingly I expect that to be an accurate representation of the game and if I'm going to like it or not.)

#to be clear i dont dislike palworld. ill probaby try it once it goes on sale regardless of finding out you dont have to play into that stuff #its just. tasteless? tacky?#its like saying you dont have to kill people and crash cars in gta #yeah you dont have to but thats the main like. thing you show people you can do #and then make a whole main quest about following road safety and pacifism #i dont understand what its trying to do exactly #why not make the choice the main appeal...!! 'pokemon but youre on the evil team' is a whole thing people like...!!#super wierd people are mostly arguing about the designs... theyre fine?? theyre fine! theyre obviously supposed to be pokemon amalgams that #thats a valid if not super creative choice. but oh. it would be so much better used in an actual original parody instead of the same #pokemon parody idea ever...#pokemon... but DARK...#pokemon but ramp it up 5000% as animals that not just enjoy fighting as an ecological feature but need to #thisnis gonna go very off topic so ill stop at one example #i just think its a lot of missed opportunities #what if ark was fun... ough...
